Is this the “final straw” regarding liberal hypocrisy?

I’m referring to the banning of plastic straws all across “the civilized world,” in favor of the more “environmentally” friendly paper straws.

The only problem is…, drum roll please…, the plastic straws are actually the more environmentally friendly ones!!!

Of course, in the liberal world…, the appearance of something being effective is considerably more important than the actual effectiveness of something.

Rob Picheta, of CNN Business, reports that, “McDonald’s has reportedly admitted that its new paper straws, rolled out last year to help ‘protect the environment,’ can’t be recycled — unlike the plastic versions they replaced.”

“The fast food giant acknowledged on Monday that the new versions are too thick to be processed by its recyclers. While the materials are recyclable, their current thickness makes it difficult for them to be processed by our waste solution providers, who also help us recycle our paper cups,” a McDonald’s spokesman told the UK’s Press Association news agency.”

Details, details!

Let’s not lose sight of the fact that we got those evil plastic straws banned…, regardless of the actual effect on the environment!

“The issue was first revealed by The Sun newspaper, which published an internal McDonald’s memo (Was it written by Ronald McDonald himself?!), saying that the company’s paper straws ‘are not yet recyclable and should be disposed of in general waste until further notice.’”

“When the firm announced the introduction of paper straws in June 2018, it said the move was ‘part of wider efforts to protect the environment.’”

If the effort was much wider we’d have a real environmental crisis on our hands!

‘“The government’s ambitious plans, combined with strong customer opinion, has helped to accelerate the move away from plastic and I’m proud that we’ve been able to play our part in helping to achieve this societal change,’ Paul Pomroy, CEO of McDonald’s UK and Ireland, said in a press release at the time.”

Ha!

Yes…, he’s sooo proud they’ve “helped to accelerate the move away from plastic and proud that they’ve been able to play their part in helping to achieve this societal change…,” even though their change is actually harming the environment more.

That’s liberalism for ‘ya.

“But the new straws were unpopular even before the latest revelation. Numerous social media users complained that they became soggy in drinks, and a petition calling on the firm to bring back their old straws has been signed more than 50,000 times.”

Our straws are soggy!

Bring back the evil, environment destroying, plastic straws!

All the Dems are Kung Fu fighting…, their tongues are fast as lightning!

What we’ve been seeing is that, apparently, a white person cannot be a “true” liberal, and that it’s okay for one liberal to drop the race card on another liberal…, if that other liberal happens to be white.

A couple of weeks ago we had Kamala Harris insinuating that Joe Biden had demonstrated racist behavior in the past…, and now we hear Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez accusing Nancy Pelosi of discriminating against and singling out some of the house representatives of color.

Interesting.

This is much better than watching “The Young and the Restless,” or “As the World Turns!”

Scott Jennings of USA Today says, “The Democratic Party is a mess.”

“If we learned anything lately it is that the Democratic Party is an absolute mess.

Fault lines are deeper than ever between the young socialists and the old establishment figures who run the place.”

Aka, “The Squad” and the “term limits poster child,” Nancy Pelosi.

Additionally, “At the first primary debate, Harris assailed Biden for opposing federally mandated busing, an extremely unpopular policy among people of all races and political parties. Debate viewers were left to believe that Harris — who emotionally attributed busing to her getting a quality education — supported the federal mandates.”

Harris also said on the debate stage that she, “would eliminate all private insurance,” and then the next day said she, “wouldn’t.”

“The prospect of nominating an old white male for president continues to deeply divide the Democratic Party, and the Woke Folk (at least the ones not supporting Bernie Sanders) are desperate for someone — anyone — to destroy America’s elderly political patriarchy. Policy, principle, and experience are irrelevant — race, gender or sexual orientation are the only credentials required to satisfy the angry [liberal democrat] mob.”

The House speaker recently gave an interview to the New York Times in which she cast aspersions on Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and three other young Democratic women of color who criticized her for giving in on the Senate border funding bill.

Though she didn’t mention them by name, Pelosi was referring to Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, in addition to Ocasio-Cortez. Otherwise known as “The Squad,” or “AOC plus three.”

‘“All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world,’ Pelosi said. ‘But they didn’t have any following. They’re four people, and that’s how many votes they got.’”

“Insulting AOC’s ‘Twitter world’ is to the “Woke” Folk what a good ‘yo mama’ joke was to my friends on the school playground. Predictably, AOC punched right back at Pelosi, calling the speaker’s legislative moves ‘a huge mistake.’”

In case your wondering, “woke” is a trendy and relative new term used among our liberal friends which means, “having an awareness of issues concerning social justice and racial justice.” “Woke people are allowed to point fingers at all the rest of us “deplorables.”

According to Veronica Stracqualursi, Manu Raju and Sunlen Serfaty of CNN, “Ocasio-Cortez calls Pelosi’s ‘singling out’ of Democratic women of color ‘disrespectful’”

‘“It’s really just pointing out the pattern, right? We’re not talking about just progressives, it’s signaling out four individuals,’ Ocasio-Cortez told CNN on Capitol Hill. ‘And knowing the media environment that we’re operating in, knowing the amount of death threats that we get, knowing the amount of concentration detention, I think it’s just worth asking why.’”

What?

And no, we don’t know the amount of “death threats” you get, or from who.

And what does “concentration detention have to do with any of this?

And how do you “signal out” people?

I’m assuming she means “singling out” people.

BUT, when asked if she thinks Pelosi has racial animus or is racist, Ocasio-Cortez said unequivocally, “No, no, absolutely not, absolutely not.”

Ha!

Well, then what were you exactly saying Alexandria?

I mean, we all have ears, we all understand English, and we all heard you basically call Speaker Pelosi a racist…, whether you want to come right out and it or not.

Then…, Democrat Rep. Lacy Clay of Missouri accused Ocasio-Cortez of using “the race card” in her comments to the Post.

‘“What a weak argument,’ Clay said. ‘Because you can’t get your way, and because you are -, you’re getting pushback, you resort to use the race card? Unbelievable. Unbelievable to me.’”

OH – MY – GOD!!!

Wait…, let me read that again.

Are you kidding me?!!!

Democrats do this all day, every day, to conservatives…, but that’s okay?

But it’s “unbelievable” and “weak” when a democrat resorts to this when dealing with another democrat.

Does the hypocrisy know no bounds?!

Representative Clay then added, “It tells you the level of ignorance to American history on their part as to what we are as the Democratic Caucus. It shows their lack of sensitivity to racism. To fall back on that (trope) is a weak argument. It has no place in a civil discussion,” according to Sam Dorman and Chad Pergram of Fox News.

Ooooh, “level of ignorance.” That’s a good one!

And again…, “It has no place in a civil discussion,” UNLESS they’re dealing with conservatives.

The far left wing of the democrat party has just adjusted their parameters. Democrat moderates to them are now on the same level that conservatives are to democrat moderates.

Ha! Isn’t it funny how that works now?

“The lawmaker closed his remarks by suggesting the four freshmen could hurt Democratic chances in upcoming elections.”

Oh, we can only hope Representative Lacy, we can only hope!

How far “left” is too far “left” for “the left?”

The answer to this question appears to be, “We have not yet begun to propose crazy liberal policies!”

Yes…, stay posted my friends.

It seems that every new day brings yet another wacky idea from the collection of democrat presidential candidates, regarding a new program for them to hand out our money, to buy more votes, and to grow more government, while essentially trying to destroy America, as we know her, along the way.

Our lefty politicians don’t even really understand how far “left” they are!

I believe they actually think they represent a “typical American.”

In the places they represent (remember the small areas of blue on the voting map of America) that may be true. There, their ideas are accepted, lauded and encouraged, while everywhere else we are left shaking our heads and wondering, “Who are these people and what country do they live in?”

Even Black Entertainment Television (BET) founder, Robert Johnson, told CNBC that “The democratic party has “moved too far to the left” and has “become too liberal to defeat President Trump.”

Robert Johnson is the country’s first African-American billionaire, according to Forbes Business Magazine.

Hmmm. The big liberal propaganda machine is going to have to be careful with this one, although I’m sure he’ll be labeled as an “Uncle Tom” before too long if he doesn’t come around to “the left’s” way of thinking and their narrative of choice.

Brian Flood of Fox News reported that, ‘“I think at the end of the day, if a Democrat is going to beat Trump, then that person, he or she, will have to move to the center and you can’t wait too long to do that,’ Johnson said. ‘The message of some of the programs that Democrats are pushing are not resonating with the majority of the American people.’”

The problem is that liberals don’t even consider the American people, who support President Trump, people!

“Johnson, a long time democrat, said the current far-left state of the Democratic Party will work well in the primaries but won’t help in a general election, especially since he feels Trump has his base locked up. The BET founder, who supported Hillary Clinton in 2016, even praised some of Trump’s recent accomplishments.”

‘“I think the economy is doing great, and it’s particularly reaching populations that heretofore had very bad problems in terms of jobs and employments and the opportunities that come with employment,’ Johnson said. ‘African-American unemployment is at its lowest level… I give the president a lot of credit for moving the economy in a positive direction that’s benefiting a large amount of Americans.’”

But yet, in the 2020 presidential election, 85%-90% of African-Americans will continue to vote for the democrat candidate.

The spell the democrats have over African-Americans is a strong one, but more and more are coming to their senses and seeing things as they really are, like Mr. Johnson here.

“Johnson said he gives Trump an ‘A+’ for the economy and added that the divisive politics [of democrats] are ‘not helping America.’”

Ouch! That really stings for our current collection of socialist democrat presidential candidates.

But don’t worry…, this won’t phase them much. They’ll just reload their fake reality, continue to propose fake solutions to real problems, and stupid solutions to fake problems.

If you have a “God problem…,” you have a real problem!

O-M-G. Sorry. It was too easy. Let’s proceed.

With the democrats, it’s always about perception rather than substance.

It’s always about words, not about actions.

A recent article by Caleb Parke, of Fox News, asks, “Rise of the religious left?” Then states, “The Democrat Party hires faith outreach director to address ‘God problem.’”

I would have to say that “the religious left” must be considered an oxymoron! At least in the terms being put forward by “the left,” and how we perceive the term “religious.”

Although there are many different “religions.”

“Religion” can be defined as “a particular system of faith and/or worship.”

In the case of our liberal friends, many practice a “creator-less ‘big bang’ religion,”

a “religion of human evolution,”

a “religion of human caused global warming,”

a “religion of science,”

a “religion of death and devaluing life (abortion),

“religions grounded in nature,”

actual “devil worship,”

“designer ‘create your own version of Christianity’ Christianity,”

“genuinely confused Christians,”

“intentionally fraudulent Christians,”

the “religion of atheism,” or the “religion of being anti-God,” among others.

In these terms, yes…, the left could be considered quite “religious!”

“In 2012, the last election Democrats won, a headline from their convention read: ‘Democrats boo God.’ In 2016, they heckled a preacher during the opening prayer.”

They booed God?

Seriously?

“It’s a perception they’ve been trying to change since, especially on the 2020 campaign trail.”

There’s that word “perception” again. Yes…, they want to change the perception, not the reality.

“Political pundits said Democrats have a ‘God problem’ and their latest move shows they are taking steps to solve it.”

Well, yes and no. What they really want to do is solve the ramifications of “the problem.” They don’t really want to solve the problem, nor do they actually believe there is a real problem.

“The democrats have hired former Washington, D.C. anti-Trump pastor, Rev. Derrick Harkins, who held a similar position in 2012 and has been the senior vice president of Union Theological Seminary in New York City, which recently celebrated ‘rejoicing in the queerness of God.’”

Well isn’t that special?

‘“We take seriously the relationships that we have with faith communities around this country,’ Harkins told Religion News Service, adding that faith ‘will be a priority going into 2020, but even more importantly, beyond 2020.’”

I’m sure you do, and I’m sure it will.

“Over the past few elections, Democrats have alienated themselves further from religious [meaning Christian and Jewish] voters, partly due to stances it takes on social issues like abortion and gay marriage, not to mention its focus on urban communities that tend to have lower church attendance than their rural counterparts. While [President] Trump took 80 percent of the white evangelical vote, democrat presidential hopefuls are gearing up for more faith outreach, especially in historically black churches and within minority communities.”

Mr. Parke has that right…, and actions speak louder than words.

If it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck, then it’s probably a duck.

So if they walk like they’re against The God of The Bible, and they talk like they’re against The God of The Bible, then they’re probably against The God of The Bible.

“Recently Democratic presidential candidate Kristin Gillibrand said she doesn’t believe the GOP is a ‘faith-driven party’ because their policies go against her idea of what Christianity is all about, and South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg questioned Trump’s faith and called him out for hypocrisy.”

I believe Ms. Gillibrand would fall into the “genuinely confused Christians” category, while Mayor Pete would fall into the category of “designer ‘create your own version of Christianity’ Christianity.”

‘“Within the Democratic Party there is a huge spectrum of deeply faithful people,’ Serene Jones, president of Union Theological Seminary, told Fox News Religion Correspondent Lauren Green.”

And we have already discussed this “huge spectrum” of “deeply faithful” people.

‘“For too long, when we look at religion in America, we have associated with just politics and the religious communities that have been associated with the Republican Party and conservative politics…and there is a strong progressive Christian voice that is being spoken and lifted up and demanding to be heard.’”

The keyword in “progressive Christian” is “progressive.”

“Jones added progressives are ‘very open about the kind of Christianity they profess.’”

And exactly what “kind of Christianity” would that be, Ms. Jones?

The “kind of Christianity” without God?

The “kind of Christianity” that lets you make it up as you go along?

Stay thirsty my friends…, but don’t drink the liberal Kool Aide!

Introducing the 51st state in the union…, Chicago?!

Wait…, what?

If the rest of the state of Illinois has anything to say about it, this may be a reality sooner than later.

According to Senior Editor David Montanaro at Fox News, “Illinois Republicans are pushing a bill to separate Chicago from rest of state: Rural areas ‘not being equally represented.’”

“Illinois State Republicans have introduced a House resolution to turn the blue city into its own state. State Rep. Brad Halbrook, a co-sponsor of the bill said.”

“Some Illinois Republicans believe the state’s rural areas are not getting fair representation due to the city of Chicago’s outsized influence and are now pushing to separate the Windy City from the rest of the state.”

‘“The rural portions are not being equally represented,’ said Halbrook, lamenting onerous regulations on businesses and a ‘piling on’ of debt by Chicago.”

Ya think?

It’s happening all over our country.

These huge democrat dens of iniquity, like Chicago, LA, New York, Philadelphia, etc., just continue to operate stupidly and irresponsibly, and then expect the rest of their states to bail them out and feed their addictions to failed liberal policies.

Then these “sanctuaries for illegal immigrant criminals” and “centers of sophistication” turn around and call the people who are expected to support their habits “deplorables,” uneducated, hicks, rednecks, or worse.

Well, the “fly over” enablers have just about had it, and they’re sick of picking up the bill for these unappreciative fools and their “war zones.”

“On ‘Fox & Friends’ Monday, State Rep. Brad Halbrook (R) explained that in many states, including New York, California and Illinois, ‘large population centers’ dominate state politics.”

‘“The goal is to form a new Illinois,’ he told host Steve Doocy, explaining that the proposal — which has virtually no chance of passing — would call on Congress to declare Chicago the 51st state.”

“According to a new report by Pew Trusts’ Stateline, the resolution supported by Halbrook now has eight Republican co-sponsors in the state’s House, as well as growing support from conservative activists.”

Sooner or later these cities have to be reined in and held accountable.

Detroit had to learn its lesson the hard way (by going bankrupt), and it looks like there are more cities that are going to follow that same path.

“The bill notes a ‘$221 million bailout’ for the city’s pension system last year [and that’s just the tip of the iceberg], and says that ‘the majority of residents in downstate Illinois disagree with City of Chicago residents on key issues such as gun ownership, abortion, immigration and other policy issues.’”

So, basically, you can espouse whatever beliefs you want…, but put YOUR own money where YOUR mouth is…, not MY money.

These cities should not expect their states and the country as a whole to subsidize their foolishness.

Believe it or not, most of those red areas on the map have no interest at all in what goes on in those blue areas.

All we know is we want no part of it and we could care less.

My advice to the cities would be to “get over yourselves,” and stop managing your expenses like drunken sailors!

Democrats should maybe spend more money financing their idiotic policies then they do their inept candidates.

Because the “gravy train” is about to run head on into “The Trump Train” baby!

Stand back while California’s socialist storm troopers trample all over The Constitution, state and federal laws!

According to Judith Miller, a contributor for Fox News and formerly a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter for The New York Times, “Police officers and FBI agents who visited freelance journalist Bryan Carmody’s San Francisco home in April couldn’t have been more polite. Would he mind telling them who leaked him a copy of the police report about the mysterious death of Jeff Adachi, the city’s public defender?”

San Francisco is easily considered one of the most “liberal” cities in America, and California easily one of the most “liberal” states.

The term “liberal” seems to be evolving, however.

The term “liberal” represents the limiting of free speech now.

The term “liberal” represents intolerance now.

The term “liberal” represents government control now.

The term “liberal” represents fascism now.

“Liberals” appear to be clinging to, and talking about, the traditional “liberal” ideals…, but their actions don’t match their rhetoric anymore.

Their words say “liberal,” but their actions cry out “fascist.”

The term “liberal” is now a “code word” for “fascist.”

Spread the word.

“Carmody was equally polite, he told me. But firm. No, he would not betray the source who gave him a copy of the controversial report,” Miller added.

“The next visit by law enforcement officers was not as ‘polite.’”

“Carmody told me that shortly after 8 a.m. Friday nearly a dozen cops and FBI agents showed up at his home with a sledgehammer and weapons. They broke through his front gate and would have broken down his front door had he not rushed to let them in.”

“The law enforcement officers seized Carmody’s phones, computers, tablets, notebooks, and the expensive video equipment he uses to report on breaking news, which he sells to local TV stations. And they repeatedly asked him the same question they had asked in April about who had leaked him the document. Only this time he was in handcuffs – for nearly seven hours.”

This sounds like something you could envision Nazi storm troopers doing, or Russian KGB agents doing…, not the police or the FBI in San Francisco, California, USA.

“Journalists have been outraged by the apparent blatant violation of state and federal law by the San Francisco Police Department and the FBI. But as the Los Angeles Times said in an editorial Tuesday, it isn’t only journalists who should be outraged.”

“All Americans who care about privacy and a free press should be alarmed by what happened to Carmody. And the FBI and San Francisco Police Department should be deeply embarrassed.”

I’m afraid to say those days seem to be gone, Ms. Miller. “Liberals” just don’t get embarrassed anymore. That’s because they aren’t embarrassed. They feel completely justified with any action that supports “the cause,” or “the swamp…,” and if you have a problem with that you’re next.

Oh, and hey…, why don’t we EVER see a “liberal” journalist, reporter, lawyer, politician, whatever, being “raided” by the police or the FBI?

Just sayin’.

“Instead, law enforcement agencies are circling the proverbial wagons, dredging up pathetic excuses for what on its face appears to be a gross violation of Carmody’s privacy and civil rights.”

This doesn’t just “appear to be a gross violation of Carmody’s privacy and civil rights…,” IT WAS a gross violation of Carmody’s privacy and civil rights.”

“The San Francisco Police Department has refused to answer specific questions about its scandalous conduct. Officials have hidden behind a statement that does little to explain why they apparently ignored federal law… to get what they wanted.”

“Yes, local officials were deeply embarrassed by the leak of a police report showing that Adachi, who had often pursued allegations of abusive police tactics, had died in an apartment with a woman who was not his wife after what appeared to be an accidental overdose of cocaine and alcohol. And yes, the police were under pressure to explain how their report had leaked.”

Again…, “embarrassed” is not the right word here, Ms. Miller. Officials were not “embarrassed…,” officials wanted to keep this information under wraps for political reasons and to cover their own backsides.

“As for the FBI, a spokesman for the San Francisco office told me that its agents did not participate in the raid on Carmody’s house. They simply ‘went along to question him,’ the spokesman said. When Carmody declined to answer questions and requested a lawyer – repeatedly, Carmody confirmed – the FBI agents left.”

Ha! What a maroon!

The FBI says “they went along” but they didn’t “participate in the raid?” How exactly does that work?

No…, you definitely “participated.”

If you were there, you participated.

“David Stevenson, the police spokesman, has refused to answer specific questions about the department’s conduct and has not released copies of its search warrant applications. But legal demands for the release of the applications are probably imminent.”

Huh…, that’s odd.

Unaccountability…, unaccountability everywhere!

ANOTHER “liberal” student arrested for assaulting those with differing views.

I’m sorry, but why do these self-proclaimed “liberals” insist on calling themselves something they’re not?

According to the English Oxford Dictionary, a “liberal” is someone, “Willing to respect or accept behavior or opinions different from one’s own; open to new ideas.” It also means to be “Favorable to or respectful of individual rights and freedoms.”

So punching and attacking other students is how you “respect or accept behavior or opinions different from your own?”

As Spock would say, “this is quite illogical.”

Although “the absence of logic” would be more definitive of today’s liberals.

According to Caleb Parke of Fox News, “A liberal college student was arrested for assaulting a representative of the pro-life group Created Equal after she attacked him at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill – and it was all caught on camera.”

“Jillian Ward, 19, a pro-choice feminist and aspiring journalist, said she was triggered by graphic photographs depicting aborted children put up by Created Equal. The group uses the images to show ‘the gruesome reality of abortion and to engage students in conversation about this human injustice.’”

“Aspiring journalist,” huh? I believe you are well on your way, Jillian! You’re going to fit right in over at CNN or MSNBC!

“Ward approached the group’s display on April 2, asking them, ‘Did y’all put these up?’”

Excuse me, but that just does not sound right. Liberals should not be allowed to say “y’all.” Just sayin’.

Anyway…, “When Austin Beigel confirmed that he did, she raced toward him with fists flying. Beigel was allegedly punched in the face a number of times and was also hit in the stomach.”

‘“F***ing terrible person,’ Ward screamed. ‘You’re a terrible person. You — this is not okay. This is not okay. This is not okay. Shut the f**k up right now. This is wrong. This is triggering. You’re not an innocent human being. You’re a terrible person.’”

Says the person who has just physically attacked the other person for doing nothing wrong, besides exercising their freedom of expression…, their freedom of speech…, and disagreeing with her beliefs.

Nice.

“UNC campus police arrested Ward and she is expected to make a court appearance in June.”

I’m sure she’ll have plenty of support inside and outside of court from all of her fellow fascists in training.

“Mark Harrington, president of Created Equal, told Fox News this is part of a bigger trend on college campuses.”

‘“Students being groomed on college campuses to be leaders, writers, and thinkers of the Left are increasing in censorship and violence against those with whom they disagree,’ Harrington said.”

I agree with that Mr. Harrington…, except for the part about “thinkers.”

The “left does not want any “thinkers.”

The “left” wants mindless zombies who just do what they’re told and believe what they’re told without question.

You don’t believe me?

Try questioning what these liberal professors are laying down in class and see how far you go.

Try questioning the liberal student leadership and see how far you get before you are “shunned” and excommunicated!

Well, you know what they say in college…, “Rah, rah, sis boom bah!”

What the heck has happened to Venezuela?! I’ll break it down for you.

Let’s look at a basic and condensed timeline, pertaining to Venezuela, for starters:

1992 – Venezuela becomes the 3^rd richest country in the western hemisphere, behind only the United States and Canada.

1993 – President Carlos Andrés Pérez is impeached for embezzlement of public funds.

1998 – A collapse in confidence in the existing parties saw the election of former coup-involved career officer Hugo Chávez and the launch of the Bolivarian Revolution and socialism. The “Bolivarian Revolution” refers to a left-wing populist social movement and political process in Venezuela led by the late Venezuelan president, Hugo Chávez, who founded the Fifth Republic Movement in 1997 and the United Socialist Party of Venezuela in 2007.

1999 – The “revolution” began when a “new” Constitution for Venezuela was written.

2001 – Venezuela voted for a socialist president to address “income inequality.”

2004 – Private healthcare is completely socialized.

2007 – All higher education becomes “free.”

2009 – The private ownership of guns is banned.

2012 – Bernie Sanders is quoted as saying, “Venezuelans are living the American dream better than Americans.”

2014 – Government opposition leaders are imprisoned.

2016 – Food shortages become a widespread problem.

2017 – The Venezuelan constitution and elections are suspended.

2018 – The country’s economic policies lead to extreme hyperinflation, with an inflation rate of 1,370,000% by the end of the year.

2019 – It is estimated that more than 3 million people have fled Venezuela in recent years.

2019 – Venezuelan protesters are attacked and killed by their own government in order to suppress their dissidence.

Venezuela’s socialist governments have been in power since 1999, taking over the country at a time when Venezuela had huge inequality.

But the socialist polices brought in which aimed to help the poor backfired, and made the situation even worse, of course. Companies now controlled by the government failed, and price controls to make basic goods more affordable to the poor by capping prices meant that Venezuelan businesses no longer found it profitable to produce them. Eventually, the government subsidies of all facets of the economy were unsustainable.

In only 27 years Venezuela has turned a “rags to riches” story into a “riches to rags” story.

Like Margaret Thatcher, the former Britsh Prime Minister once said, “The trouble with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.”

Does any of the Venezuela story sound familiar today in America?

There certainly appear to be some similarities in the early stages happening here.

We see an impeachment happy democrat Congress trying to overturn a presidential election.

We see many democrat politicians and democrat presidential candidates calling for a new constitution or drastic changes to our existing one.

We constantly hear democrat politicians and democrat presidential candidates touting government solutions for “income inequality,” don’t we?

We hear democrat politicians and democrat presidential candidates calling for a complete government takeover of our healthcare system.

Many democrat politicians and democrat presidential candidates are proposing “free” college.

And lastly, we hear many democrat politicians and democrat presidential candidates calling for radical changes to our gun laws, changes to the 2^nd amendment or the complete removal of our right to bear arms.

The intentions of the American democrat party are apparent.

The democrats want to destroy America as we know it.

The choice here is painfully clear.

If you want to follow in Venezuela’s footsteps…, elect democrats.

It’s as simple as that.

The only people who benefit from a socialist government are those in government.

They apparently long for power that badly that they are willing to turn everyone elses life into a living hell for their own sakes.

They can only do this if we let them, however.

Remember…, the Venezuelan people voted for what they got.

In the end…, it’s their own fault.

And in the end…, we’ll choose our own fate as well.

My reaction to some recent headlines: (1) Lock up Attorney General William Barr? (2) Another date that will “go down in infamy?” (3) Why are the House Democrats out to get Attorney General Barr? (4) Democrat lawmaker records himself harassing a pro-life woman. And (5) Joy “less” Behar of “The View” is at it again.

There are so many topics I’d like to offer my insight on, but so little time! So every once in a while I like to respond to a number of articles that I couldn’t necessarily devote an entire daily blog to on an article by article basis.

“Imprisoning Bill Barr is [the] left’s new rallying cry: ‘Have him locked up!’”

“The battle between congressional Democrats and the Justice Department over Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia report has reached new levels of vitriol, as some on the left call for Attorney General Bill Barr to be physically dragged in to testify or even locked up for defying congressional subpoenas.”

“The demands have escalated after the attorney general refused to appear before the House Judiciary Committee last week amid disagreements over the format of the hearing.”

“Though he testified a day earlier on the Senate side, Democrats on the committee still want to bring in the DOJ leader to answer questions on the conclusion of Mueller’s investigation. Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., also imposed a Monday morning deadline for Barr to turn over the full, unredacted Mueller report and additional files — a deadline the DOJ apparently missed, prompting Nadler to schedule a Wednesday vote on contempt proceedings against Barr.”

Everything that William Barr has done up this point is completely within in rights and responsibilities as Attorney General.

What we have on the democrats’ side is a bunch of grandstanding, and now desperation, as they learned that Mr. Barr was looking into what really happened regarding Russian collusion, and what really happened regarding spying on Americans, and what really happened that caused this fraudulent investigation to be launched in the first place.

Their main goal now is to discredit him, silence him, and preferably have him resign or be removed from office. Anything but allow him to drag their “swampy” friends out into the sunlight.

‘“He [Attorney General Barr] lied to Congress. And if anybody else did that, it would be considered a crime,’ Pelosi told reporters. ‘Nobody is above the law. Not the president of the United States. Not the attorney general.’”

Apparently Mrs. Pelosi is an exception to that rule…, as she lies ALL of the time to Congress, to us, to basically anyone within earshot of her.

“Pelosi’s public comments came after she, according to Politico, told Rep. Charlie Crist, D-Fla., during a private caucus meeting Thursday: ‘We saw [Barr] commit a crime when he answered your question.’”

“However, according to both the Post and the Justice Department, Mueller made clear that he did not feel that Barr’s summary was inaccurate. Instead, Mueller told Barr that media coverage of the letter had “misinterpreted” the results of the probe concerning obstruction of justice.”

We all know it doesn’t matter to the democrats what anyone actually says…, the only thing that matters is what they want us to hear.

“NPR’s Carrie Johnson made the comment during the NPR Politics podcast last Wednesday while discussing Barr’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, during which he answered questions about the summary he gave of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.”

NPR…, another arm of the “biased, liberal propaganda, fake news media.”

Aren’t you be a tad dramatic there Ms. Johnson?

Really?

How about the day that people in our government were contemplating a coup against President Trump? How about that day?

How about the day the DOJ and the FBI decided they were going to falsify testimony to the FISA court and spy on the Trump campaign? How about that day?

How about the day that the FBI overstepped its bounds and declared Hillary did not break any laws, regarding obstructing justice by destroying her server and then deleting over 33,00 emails, because that was not her “intent.” How about that day?

You’re pathetic, Carrie Johnson. You’re just a tool to be used by the liberal propaganda machine. You’re no journalist, and you’re no reporter.

You’re a fool.

“Why are the House Democrats out to get Attorney General Barr?”

“Democrats in Congress are so worried that the American people will find out what is NOT in the Mueller report that they will say and do almost anything. The report exposes their false assertions that President Trump cooperated with the Russians to influence the 2016 presidential election. They will resort to embarrassing stunts like bringing fast food chicken buckets into congressional hearings. And, they will attempt to destroy the reputation of Attorney General William Barr simply because he is the messenger who released the Mueller report to the public.”

“Consider that House Democrat leaders are claiming Barr lied about … what? They are upset because he wrote a memo iterating the major findings in the Mueller report. They castigated Barr for the few weeks it took for him to make legally required redactions in the Mueller report before he could publicly release the report. Turns out Barr’s initial summary was accurate. And, we have a special counsel report that is available for public viewing with very few redactions, proving that Democrats weren’t telling the truth for over two years.”

“The Democrats must also be troubled that the inspector general will soon be releasing his report regarding the findings of his investigation into the abuse of power, which includes obtaining secret warrants to spy on the Trump campaign under the Obama administration. They dare not let go of their attack on the president and anyone who works with him, knowing that the IG report will likely contain damaging revelations of the Democrat National Committee and the Clinton presidential campaign working with Russians to unleash the police apparatus under President Obama to spy on the Trump campaign for political purposes.”

The democrats are counting on the complicit “biased, liberal propaganda, fake news media” to do their part and downplay or ignore any potentially damaging evidence that turns up.

They, in turn, will just continue to deny, deny, deny, and attempt to discredit William Barr, and anyone else that may need to be silenced.

“Dem state lawmaker records himself harassing pro-life woman outside Planned Parenthood”

“PA [Pennsylvania] State Representative Brian Sims recorded himself harassing a pro-life woman peacefully protesting outside a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Sims’ Philadelphia district.”

“A Pennsylvania Democratic state representative went on an eight-minute rant, verbally harassing an elderly woman protesting outside a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic.”

“Brian Sims recorded a woman outside Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, which is in his district, telling her to pray at home, calling her an ‘old white lady’ and lecturing her about her Christian beliefs on the Periscope app.”

‘“Push back against Planned Parenthood protestors, PLEASE!’ Sims wrote on Twitter Thursday. ‘They prey on young women, they use white privilege, & shame. They’re racist, classist, bigots who NEED & DESERVE our righteous opposition. Push back, please!’”

So here we have another obvious example of double standards exhibited by the “biased, liberal propaganda, fake new media.”

Here we have a politician no less, harassing an elderly citizen, who is doing everything within her rights as a citizen to do.

He brings her race into play, and then has the nerve to later call her a racist!

He also attacks her religion, which is okay to do, as long as it’s Christianity. God forbid he would attack a Muslim!!! Then we would really have a problem here!

The level of confusion exhibited by these clowns is just so impressive.

‘“The View’ co-host Joy [less] Behar said on Monday that Republicans who support President Trump should take off ‘those flag pins’ because the president’s behavior regarding Russian meddling is ‘unpatriotic.’”

‘“It isn’t just that. Let’s talk about, you know, the fact that he met with Putin for 90 minutes… and never once brought up the fact that Russia, Russia interfered in our election,’ Behar said.

These libs just throw this stuff around like they know what they’re talking about.

How exactly did the Russians “interfere” with our elections? They sure interfered far less than our own FBI and DOJ! And I don’t hear her crying about James Comey or Loretta Lynch though!

That’s because Joy “less” Behar has no idea what she is talking about. She is just a part of the “biased, liberal propaganda, fake news media.”

“Behar continued: ‘I said last week I don’t want to see any of those flag pins anymore on Republicans who don’t stand up against this guy for Russian meddling, and other things that he’s done. It seems as though he’s unpatriotic.’”

Joy “less” Behar is so far off base here, it’s hard to know how to respond. So I guess I won’t.

“You can’t argue with crazy” is something my wife says all of the time.

And she’s right.

So I won’t.

“Behar has attacked Trump and his supporters on a regular basis, mocking everything from Mike Pence’s Christian faith to women who support Trump. She immediately backtracked last September after saying ‘God forbid President Trump lives another 20 years.’”

“Waaaah…, the election was stolen from me…, waaah!” – Hillary Clinton

According to Liam Quinn, a senior editor at Fox News, “Hillary Clinton suggests the election was ‘stolen’ from her, and other Dems could ‘suffer the same fate.’”

“Hillary Clinton suggested she had the 2016 election ‘stolen’ from her during the latest stop of her slumping speaking tour.”

“Taking the stage with her husband Bill in Los Angeles Saturday night as part of the couple’s ‘Evening with the Clintons’ tour, the former Democrat presidential nominee told the crowd she has been warning potential candidates they could suffer the same fate.”

Ha! An evening with the Clintons!?

More like an evening with a serial sex offender and his scheming, apologist, power hungry, wanna be president, partner in crime.

‘“I think it’s also critical to understand that, as I’ve been telling candidates who have come to see me, you can run the best campaign, you can even become the nominee, and you can have the election stolen from you,’ the former secretary of state said.”

Oh really? Which candidates exactly have been coming to see you, Hillary? I’m calling bull caca on that claim.

“She’s hardly the only prominent Democrat claiming to have been wrongly kept out of office. On Friday, Georgia Democrat Stacey Abrams again claimed she won the state’s 2018 gubernatorial race, despite losing to now-Gov. Brian Kemp.”

‘“I’m here to tell you a secret that makes Breitbart and [Fox News host] Tucker Carlson go crazy: We won,’ Abrams said, according to The Houston Chronicle. ‘I am not delusional. I know I am not the governor of Georgia — possibly yet.’”

No, Stacey, you’re not “delusional,” you’re just a bad loser, and a typical racist, liberal, socialist…, and you don’t know how to talk.

“Abrams justified her refusal to accept the result of the election by calling Kemp ‘an architect of voter suppression that spent the last eight years knitting together a system of voter suppression that is unparalleled in America.’”

Ya…, how dare Governor Kemp attempt to suppress the votes of dead people, non-citizens, and fraudulent mail-in ballots!

No it doesn’t, Hillary…, but “It’s the economy, stupid” was coined by your hubby’s own campaign strategist, James Carville, during his successful 1992 presidential campaign…, stupid!

“So part of our challenge is to understand what it will take to put together not only the popular vote but the Electoral College.”

Wow…, that’s a good idea Hillary! Maybe you should have thought about that before the last election…, since, you know…, the winner is decided by which candidate gets the most Electoral College votes. Duh!

“Clinton won the popular vote in her 2016 campaign against Trump, but lost the Electoral College — and with it, the race.”

She not only lost the Electoral College election, but she got creamed, 304 – 227.

It’s pretty hard to “steal” something from someone who never had the thing to begin with!

Fox News contributor Dan Bongino asked, “How can the woman whose team colluded with Russia during the 2016 campaign claim the election was ‘stolen’ from her’ [by the Russians]?”

“The former first lady also questioned how Trump could still hold conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin following the release of the information in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report.”

Uhhh, maybe because Mueller found no proof of collusion between President Trump and “the Russians,” whatever or whoever “the Russians” means…, or haven’t you heard?

“Mueller’s report ‘not only decisively proves, but goes chapter and verse about how the Russians — in the words of the report — conducted a sweeping and systemic interference in our election,’ she said, according to the Seattle Times. ‘And then you wake up and your president is spending an hour on the phone with Vladimir Putin, who was the mastermind of the interference and attack on our election.’”

I’ve said this before…, but Hillary has not read the Mueller report. All she does is make up whatever narrative she wants and then attributes it to the report, which she know the “biased, liberal propaganda, fake news media” won’t question or dispute.

According to Michael F. Haverluck, of OneNewsNow.com, “The first Clinton event that was held at a Canadian hockey area – which houses nearly 20,000 seats – saw a mere 3,300 tickets sold, and more seat backs than Clinton fans were visible when the lights dimmed and the couple started talking.”

“For their May 19 show at The Forum in Inglewood, California, – which seats more than 17,000 – tickets usually priced at $77 are now going for $35, with $120 tickets discounted to $50, and $175 seats down to $72,” the U.K. daily informed [And tickets were all the way down to $6.50 just prior to the event!]. ‘Despite the site telling customers that ‘tickets are selling fast!’ with ‘limited time remaining,’ it appears that less than 450 discounted tickets have actually been sold.’”

I guess Hillary is about as popular now as she was during the election!

Unlike during the election, however, you can’t pay people to come to your events…, because, in this case, what would be the point?

In conclusion…, let’s be clear…, nothing was “stolen” from you Hillary.

In reality…, you just plain lost…, and conversely…, we know that YOU were the one who cheated during the debates. You were the one who had your party rig the primary election against Bernie Sanders. YOU and your partners in crime were the ones who colluded with the Russians in an attempt to dig up dirt on and/or frame Donald Trump. And YOU were and are the one who has obstructed justice at every turn.

And you just continue to lie misinform the people whenever you open your mouth.
