Who are these “reporters” trying to kid with their “liberal spin?”

These libs just never miss an opportunity to try and change history in their favor.

In this case, in the favor of anti-American Muslims, Islamic extremists and anti-Americans in general.

Oh yeah.  Don’t think for one minute that this was an honest mistake or a poor choice of words.

This was an intentionally, deceitfully, crafted attempt to rewrite history.

So what exactly are we talking about here?

Brian Flood of Fox News reports that, “The New York Times caused an uproar on Wednesday with a now-deleted tweet and now-updated story that originally said ‘airplanes’ were responsible for the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001.

fakenyt 7

‘“18 years have passed since airplanes took aim and brought down the World Trade Center. Today, families will once again gather and grieve at the site where more than 2000 people died,’ the Times’ verified Twitter account wrote in a message accompanying a story about 9/11 victims being remembered at Ground Zero.”

Those damn airplanes!

They should all be banned!

“The 9/11 anniversary message was immediately met with harsh criticism and was swiftly deleted.”

‘“We’ve deleted an earlier tweet to this story and have edited for clarity. The story has also been updated,’ the Times tweeted.”

“Edited for clarity,” huh?

fakenyt 6

The author of the tweet wouldn’t happen to be a friend or relative of Rep. Ilhan Omar, would they? Or how about a friend or associate of Barack (“Obama Bin Lying”) Obama?

fakenyt 8

“The updated tweet to promote the story said, ‘18 years after nearly 3,000 people were lost, families of those killed in the terror attacks will gather at the 9/11 memorial. There will be a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m., then the names of the dead — one by one — will be recited.’”

“The story, by James Barron, was also changed to note that “terrorists commandeered” the airplanes that brought down the World Trade Center.”

This “reporter/tweeter,” must have watched too much of “Thomas the Tank Engine,” Disney’s “Cars,” or Disney’s “Planes!”  Planes, trains and automobiles do not act on their own volition.  A person or persons are responsible for the operation of them.

fakenyt 1

fakenyt 2

Also, the 2,977 people killed in New York, at the Pentagon and in a field in rural Pennsylvania is considerably closer to 3,000 than 2,000.

Like 977 people closer.

Idiot.

Not only did the New York Times try to take the terrorists off the hook, they tried to downplay and diminish the number of people who lost their lives because of these Islamic extremists.

fakenyt 3

“The New York Times did not immediately respond to a request for comment.”

And they probably won’t respond.

‘“The @NYT says airplanes caused 9/11. Wrong. It was Muslim terrorists who waged jihad on American soil and killed thousands of our fellow countrymen in the name of their religion,’ Fox News’ Todd Starnes wrote, while Fox News contributor Mike Huckabee noted that the paper doesn’t seem to ‘have much grasp on recent history.’”

Oh, it does…, it just doesn’t like the actual history to be promoted.

‘“Twin Towers NOT brought down because “airplanes took aim” at them, but b/c radical Islamists hijacked planes & took aim at them,’ Huckabee added.”

“Many users compared the rhetoric in the Times tweet to an infamous remark made by Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., earlier this year when she said ‘some people did something’ when describing the 9/11 attacks.”

I can only hope Ms. Omar becomes a bit of history as a result of the 2020 elections.

Remembering 9/11/2001…

I can still remember that morning, although there’s a whole generation now who don’t.

They’ll think of 9/11 as I think of Pearl Harbor.

They’ll learn about it in History class (hopefully).  They’ll understand it was an awful thing that happened that day…, but they didn’t live through it…, they didn’t experience it.

I remember them showing pictures of the first tower on fire, and not really knowing the cause.

Then there were reports that a plane had crashed into the tower.

I remember thinking, “Man, what a terrible accident!”

Then a jet crashed into the second tower…, and we realized this was no accident.

Here’s a timeline of that morning, thanks to Jenni Fink of Newsweek.

5:45 a.m.: Hijackers Mohamed Atta and Abdul Aziz al-Omari board a flight at Portland International Jetport in Maine, later connecting to American Airlines Flight 11 at Boston Logan International Airport.

7:49 a.m.: Flight 11 takes off.

8:15 a.m.: United Airlines Flight 175 takes off from Boston, bound for Los Angeles.

8:20 a.m.: American Airlines Flight 77 takes off from Washington Dulles International Airport.

8:24 a.m.: Atta broadcasts a message to air traffic control, “We have some planes. Just stay quiet and you will be okay.” The captain of Flight 175, United Airlines pilot Victor J. Saracini, picks up Atta’s transmission from Flight 11 and informs the Federal Aviation Administration.

8:37 a.m.: Boston’s air traffic control center alerts the Air Force’s Northeast Air Defense Sector to Atta’s message. Air National Guard jets are mobilized to follow Flight 11.

8:42 a.m.: United Airlines Flight 93 takes off from Newark International Airport.

8:46 a.m.: Flight 11 crashes into floors 93 through 99 of the north tower of the World Trade Center.

8:50 a.m.: President George W. Bush is notified of the attacks while visiting an elementary school in Florida.

a911 20

8:52 a.m.: A flight attendant on Flight 175 informs a United Airlines operator that the flight has been hijacked.

8:59 a.m.: Port Authority Police order the twin towers to be evacuated.

9:03 a.m.: United Airlines Flight 175 crashes into floors 77 through 85 of the south tower of the World Trade Center.

“A picture is worth a thousand words.” In these cases…, maybe more.

Here are some of the famous pictures that reflect our American history and reflect events that have changed our history.

… although this picture is not one of those pictures!

Let’s continue…

09/11/2001.  Some pictures don’t need any description.

The assassination of John F. Kennedy, the ensuing investigation, and all of the questions surrounding the assassination, have remained for over 50 years.

Neil Armstrong takes the first step onto the moon’s surface, July 20, 1969.  He and Buzz Aldrin were the first humans to land on the moon.  A smart phone, like most of us have, has thousands of times the computing power of the computers on Apollo 11.

“That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” – Neil Armstrong, as he stepped onto the surface of the moon.

This picture, taken in New York City, known as “The Kiss,” represents the unbridled joy by all Americans that World War II had finally come to an end.

On August 14, 1945, President Harry Truman announced from the White House that the Japanese were unconditionally surrendering.  As soon as the news was announced, spontaneous celebrations erupted across the United States.

But as memorable as the arrival of victory over Japan was, the day was bittersweet for the many Americans whose loved ones would not be returning home.  More than 400,000 Americans had given their lives in World War II, and America would never be the same.

In 2016, Donald Trump shocked the entire country by pulling off the upset of the century, while not only winning the presidency, but doing so convincingly.  The “forgotten men and women” in our country rose up and made their votes count.  Politics and the way we view “the media” in our country would never be the same.

I hope you enjoyed this trip through some of our history as Americans, as seen through the camera lens.

Please let me know if you agree with the events I’ve chosen, if you feel I missed any, or if you you’d just like to reminisce or leave a comment.
