“Balance of Nature?!”

I’m afraid not.

It’s more like the Imbalance of Unnatural bullsh#t.

Really, what in the h#ll is “natural” about swallowing capsules filled with pulverized and dried out plant material?

I’ve written about what a rip-off Balance of Nature is before, but I just have to call out these snake oil again.

If you haven’t seen the commercials for “Balance of Nature,” they have people claiming that taking these little miracle capsules, filled with this magical fruit and veggie powder, has cured any number of ailments.

They claim taking these magical capsules has turned their lives around.

They claim taking these magical capsules has brought them back from the brink of virtual life-ending incapacity.

“I could barely walk anymore, but now thanks to Balance of Nature I’m running marathons again!”

Hmmm…, let’s take a closer look.

“Balance of Nature” suggests we take just of their 3 fruit capsules and 3 veggie capsules per day.

If you take a look at the size of these capsules, this is like the equivalent of eating 3 strawberries and maybe 1 small carrot a day!

Wow!

And this is their miraculous cure all?!

That’s all it takes to turn an unhealthy life around?

That’s the fountain of youth for older customers who thought their lives were over?

They claim to “pack 10 servings of fruits and vegetables into 6 tiny capsules.”

Can we use a little common sense here?

Just a little?

I don’t care how much you dry out and smash and grind up something…, it is still going to take up the same basic amount of space.  It’s just basic science.

These people want us to believe they have their own “Honey, I shrunk the fruits and veggies” process.

Well, they don’t.

Can we all agree on that?

I hope you’re nodding your head up and down.

Now we can proceed.

So, when we look at their bottle of fruits capsules and their bottle of veggies capsules, it’s like the equivalent of buying a couple bananas, a couple of apples, and a head of broccoli.

And for the equivalent of a couple bananas, a couple of apples, and a head of broccoli, you get to spend $89.95…, plus tax!  That comes to about 50 cents per capsule.

That’s for a “thirty day supply.”

But, hey, shipping is free!

They say, “This is how nature intended” us to get our fruits and veggies!”

Really?!

What kind of plant grows those “natural” plastic capsules that they fill with their “natural” fruit and veggie powder?

Do you realize how many real fruits and real vegetables you could buy for $90?

On the flip side, taking these capsules certainly won’t hurt.  And if you typically don’t eat ANY fruits or vegetables, taking these capsules is better than nothing…, but not by much. They certainly are not going to change your life or significantly improve your health.

People would be much better off investing in a bottle of good daily multi-vitamins, a bag of apples and a bag of carrots, at a fraction of what these miracle capsules cost.

So, the next time you see one of these commercials, and watch some person praising “Balance of Nature” for turning their life around, please know their life may have turned around for some reason, but it wasn’t because they took these little miracle capsules.

Rip-off alert! Rip-off alert!

I just have to call out some of these snake oil peddlers from time to time.

In this case, I’m referring to “Balance of Nature.’

If you haven’t seen their commercials, they have people claiming that taking these little capsules of pulverized fruits and vegetables have cured any number of ailments.

Do these people look like the pictures of health we should all emulate?

Hmmm…, let’s take a closer look.

“Balance of Nature” suggests we take 3 fruit capsules and 3 veggie capsules per day.

If you take a look at the size of these capsules, this is like the equivalent of eating a couple strawberries and maybe one carrot!

At least the “tiny capsules” part is right!

Let’s use a little common sense here.

I don’t care how much you smash and grind up something…, it is still going to take up the same basic amount of space.  It’s just basic science.

These people want us to believe they have their own “Honey, I shrunk the fruits and veggies” process.

Well, they don’t.

Just sayin’.

Taking these capsules certainly don’t hurt.  And if you typically don’t eat any fruits or vegetables, taking these capsules is better than nothing, but they certainly are not going to change your life or significantly improve your health.

It really helps to step back and use a little common sense.

People would be much better off investing in a bottle of good daily multi-vitamins, a bag of apples and a bag of carrots, at a fifth of what these miracle capsules cost.

Publishers Clearing House is a deceptive scam!

Yes my friends…, Publishers Clearing House and their $5,000 for life sweepstakes are a real con job.

apch 1

At the end of all of their ads encouraging us all to enter their sweepstakes, we hear the words “no purchase required to enter,” or “no purchase necessary.”

apch 2

apch 5

I’m here to tell you I don’t believe this is true.

At least I don’t believe that this is “reasonably” true.

What do I mean by that?

What I mean is I’ve been trying to enter the Publisher’s Clearing House Sweepstakes at pch.com, (I mean if it’s free, why not?) but after visiting the site and jumping through all of their hoops and then receiving emails and then jumping through more hoops and then receiving emails and then jumping through more hoops over and over again…, I have still been unable to actually enter the sweepstakes.

apch 4

It’s been very frustrating and a big waste of time.

It’s been almost a month now, and I see emails everyday telling me I’m not “entered” yet, and that I need to visit their site again to complete my registration.

It’s my belief that I will continue to see this pattern up and until I finally purchase something off of their site, at which time I might actually be allowed to enter their contest.

Here is an example of one of the many follow-up emails I have received from Publishers Clearing House:

ACTION REQUIRED!

I’ve responded to more than a few emails like this and I just keep receiving more after I have jumped through their marketing hoops to what I believe is their satisfaction.

If anyone out there has managed to successfully enter the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes, WITHOUT PURCHASING SOMETHING FROM THEM FIRST, I’d like to hear from you.

I personally have doubts that this can actually be done…, or at least be reasonably done.

Live and learn.

Hey…, is PCH a division of the DNC?  That would make a lot of sense.

I could totally see Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler or Chuck Schumer as spokespeople for this scam.  They can all lie at the drop of a hat, with straight faces, and without any problem!

Or how about the scam being perpetrated by the democrat presidential candidates with all of their proposals for “free” this or “free” that?

C’mon now…, we all know nothing is “free.”

And what about Nancy Pelosi you say?

I guess even Publishers Clearing House has to draw the line somewhere!

I value your feedback and I’d love to hear from you!

If money is the roof of all evil, these televangelists are EEEEEVIL!

…, at least from a Christian perspective…, since all of these “pastors of the mass media” preach from a Biblical basis supposedly.

pastors 2

Let’s take a look at the 8 richest “TV preachers,” from #8 up to #1.

You may be amazed to find out how good a business “selling salvation” can be!

pastors 3

#8.  Pastor Joyce Meyers, net worth $8+ million.

She owns a private jet and several homes, as well as shiny $107,000 silver Mercedes.  Hey…, it beats riding a donkey I guess!

#7.  Bishop T.D. Jakes, net worth $18 million.

T.D. Jakes spoke at the inauguration of President Barack Obama in 2009 and accompanied President George W. Bush to areas affected by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.  So he’s a “swampy” kind of bishop!

Jakes founded The Potter’s House, a nondenominational megachurch. His sermons can be seen on Trinity Broadcasting Network and other religious channels.

pastors 6

#6. Franklin Graham, net worth $25 million.

Although Franklin Graham is an evangelist and son of well-known pastor Billy Graham, he didn’t even convert to Christianity until he was 22 years old!  Interesting.  I guess he finally figured out what “buttered his bread.”

#5. Pastor Creflo Dollar, net worth $27 million.

As his last name suggests, televangelist Creflo Dollar has amassed some riches, and he has the possessions to prove it. Dollar is the founder of the non-denominational World Changers Church International, based in Fulton County, Georgia. In 2007, he had a congregation of 30,000 as well as $69 million in cash collection revenue. Dollar preaches his philosophy that “it is the will of God for you to prosper in every way.”

And when he says “you” he means “me!”

#4. Joel Osteen, net worth $40 million.

pastors 5

Joel Osteen is pastor at Lakewood Church, the largest Protestant church in America. Weekly attendance at the Houston-based church is 52,000. In 1999, Osteen, now 54, inherited the church and its television ministry from his late father John Osteen. Today, 7 million people in 100 different countries watch Lakewood Church broadcasts every week.

He and his wife, co-pastor Victoria Osteen, live with their two kids in a $10.5 million mansion in the Houston suburbs.

#3. Benny Hinn, net worth $60 million.

Benny Hinn is best known for his “Miracle Crusades,” or faith healing summits, which are held in stadiums around the country and broadcast on his TV program “This Is Your Day.”  He founded Orlando Christian Center church in 1983 and began holding his healing services there. Followers believe Hinn can heal any of their ailments if he prays over them.

#2. Pat Robertson, net worth $100 million.

Televangelist Pat Robertson founded Christian Broadcasting Network, which now broadcasts shows in 180 countries in 71 languages. The flagship show, “The 700 Club,” airs daily.

Annnnnd…, leading the “rat pack…,” drumroll please!

#1. Pastor Kenneth Copeland, net worth $300 million!

Kenneth Copeland heads Kenneth Copeland Ministries and preaches through TV, books, DVDs, and CDs.

Kenneth Copeland Ministries is located on a 1,500-acre campus near Fort Worth, Texas. The grounds include a church as well as a private airstrip and hangar for a $17.5 million jet and other aircraft. Copeland reportedly lives in a $6.3 lakefront mansion funded by his church. Although Celebrity Net Worth reported he’s worth $300 million, other reports say Copeland could be worth $750 million or more.

So…, there you have ‘em.

Our list of preacher’s who are riding that big, green, gravy train!

pastors 1

Paid for by some followers who think they can buy instant salvation, and at the expense of other donors who just don’t know any better.

Shame on them all…, and all of the others like them who didn’t qualify for the “worst of the worst” list here.

All of these “pastors” are very talented when it comes to quoting chapter and verse from The Bible.  I wonder what their reaction would be to a couple verses that I have selected here?

Matthew 6:24 “No one can be loyal to two masters. He is bound to hate one and love the other, or support one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and the power of money at the same time.”

1 John 2:15-17 “Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.”

Matthew 6:5-13 – “And then, when you pray, don’t be like the play-actors. They love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at street-corners so that people may see them at it. Believe me, they have had all the reward they are going to get.”

I’m sure they’d all be able to conjure up a translation of these words that would not only validate what they were doing, but promote it, and herald it!

They are good at what they do…, it’s just a shame they have to pretend to do it in God’s name.
