Colbert is followed closely by the other late night hosts, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Myers and Jimmy Fallon, but Colbert is currently holding the distinction of being my “Biggest Loser.”
First of all I have to apologize…, you may not even know who Stephen Colbert is. Based on his nightly ratings, only 1.1% of the country watches his show. This means that 98.9% of the country is doing something else every night.
I must admit that I too have abandoned these nightly shows as of a couple of years ago, as these “entertainers” decided to choose sides, and along with the rest of the Hollywood elites, their side was not my side, so I just decided to tune them out.
They have all bashed The President on a nightly, and humorless basis. And even though Robert Mueller just recently completed his investigation into whether President Trump worked with Russia during the presidential election and found that he and his campaign did not, Stephen Colbert chose to “double down” on The President and continue to attack him even more.
I guess to a certain extent he has no choice. He has alienated Trump supporters and most fair minded people…, so if he drops his “Trump shtick” he won’t have any viewers left!
On one of his recent shows, Colbert compiled a list of “Reasons why Trump is a bad president,” in an effort to push past the Mueller Report.
It was a list of 40 items, including “Russian Collusion,” so really it was a list of 39 items. All of these remaining items were either opinion, lies (fake news) or just plain stupid. I’m sure the liberal writers for the show strained their pea brains for hours coming up with that lame list! That’s the only funny thing about it!
I didn’t actually see the show either, I just happened to notice an article about this by Rebecca Iannucci of TVLine.com.
In addition to his lame list, Colbert cried about the “anticlimactic” results of Mueller’s investigation, calling his report “worse than the finale of ‘Lost.’” Another lame reference to another show that no one else has seen.
Then, according to Ms. Iannucci, “Colbert went on to assert that, although Trump may not have colluded with Russia, there is still ample evidence to suggest he isn’t a suitable president. He even offered Trump a faux-apology in the wake of Mueller’s findings, looking solemnly into the camera and declaring, ‘Mr. President, if you’re watching — and I know you are — I’m sorry… that you’re a terrible president.’”
That’s cute Stephen.
And Stephen, if you read this – and I know you will – I’m sorry…, but you’re a terrible whatever you are!
