It’s true, they, the democrats, can’t define what a “woman” is, yet they are all up in arms regarding a “woman’s” right to choose.
Who exactly are they talking about?
Who are these “women” that have a right to choose?
Alia E. Dastagir, for USA Today, reports that, “In the 13th hour of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearing, Senator Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., asked the Supreme Court nominee, Ketanji Brown Jackson, “Can you provide a definition for the word ‘woman’?”
“Jackson, appearing confused, responded, ‘There’s no simple answer, Senator…, I’m not a biologist.’”
And, oh, by the way, when did biology come into play, when defining gender, from the democrats’ point of view? Just sayin’.
So, again, the democrats, who can’t define exactly what a “woman” is are now the standard bearers for “women’s” rights!
How exactly does that work?
The democrats, the party of hypocrisy and ignorance, has no problem flipping and flopping as required.
Protesters at The Women’s March ‘Rally For Abortion Justice’ in Washington, on Oct. 2, 2021.
The media doesn’t seem too eager to point out this hypocrisy either.
If Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, who is pegged to replace Judge Stephen Breyer when he retires, was on The Supreme Court right now, how could she possibly determine a ruling regarding Roe v. Wade, if she can’t even define what a “woman” is…, even though she would be considered a “woman” herself, by those of us who feel we could define what a “woman” is.
The democrats are attempting to destroy women’s sports in our country, while at the same time degrading a woman’s role as a mother, yet they want to appear to be the party of “women’s” rights?
Where were these people chanting “my body my choice,” when thousands of nurses across the country were being fired for refusing to be forced to get vaccinated by Joe Biden and the CDC’s mandates?
And where are these people demanding all of these nurses be reinstated after the courts ruled that these vaccination mandates were beyond the scope of the CDC to mandate?
As usual, the democrats (Satan’s minions) are flat-out lying and misrepresenting the facts surrounding The Supreme Court’s apparent, upcoming, overturning of Roe v. Wade.
The Court’s ruling would not, in effect, ban abortions.
The Court’s ruling would simply send the abortion question back to the states, for the people of those states to decide, on a state by state basis, how they want to treat the abortion question.
Are the democrats really that afraid to let people have the ability to express their own beliefs and desires by way of a vote?
Apparently, the answer to that question is “yes.”
The democrats are always more than happy to dictate, rather than let the people speak via the democratic process.
“Red America” and “Blue America” are quickly becoming two very different countries, which are not going to be compatible with each other in the very near future.
Then what?

I know there are those who were never fans of the whole Disney experience and the whole Disney franchise…, and I always felt sad for those people…, but I was not one of those people.
I grew up in a time when Walt Disney and the world of Disney represented something of the highest quality…, something with the best intentions…, something that always exceeded our expectations…, something that was “magical.”
My children were raised on Walt Disney videos. They loved The Little Mermaid. They loved Nemo and Dory. They watched in amazement at Woody and Buzz. And they cried when Dumbo and Bambi lost their moms, and when Simba’s dad died.
Actually taking a trip to Walt Disney World was the pinnacle of all vacations. Heck, my wife and I even spent a good portion of our honeymoon there!
I always felt that spending time at Walt Disney World was like spending time at a place that I aspired every place to be like and strive for. In my mind, it was a “kingdom” full of magic.
When I was a grade school teacher in Florida, I took our class to Walt Disney World every year to visit EPCOT (Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow) to help spark their imaginations and inspire their desire to learn, not to mention the additional cultural experiences of all of the countries in “The World Showcase.”
Amazingly enough, my feelings towards Disney have now all changed in the span of a few short months.
The Walt Disney Company has over 190,000 employees worldwide…, most of whom, I believe, strive to keep the magic of Disney alive. But it is apparent now, based on recent political stances taken by the company, and by statements and discussions that have surfaced by various individuals in Disney’s leadership, that The Walt Disney Company has been betrayed by its leadership and has lost its way…, and in turn lost its magic.
For the record, here is a list of those people responsible for the betrayal of Walt Disney’s vision, either by their actions or by their silent acceptance of the vile actions of others.

So, there you have it. Congratulations to all of these people for their parts, big or small, in crushing the belief of children, and adults, all around the world, that the world of Disney was something special.
Why do these people feel they have to ruin everything?
It’s probably a good thing that Walt isn’t around to witness how all of these fools are mishandling the spirit and the legacy of his vision.

Believe it or not, saying you believe in God is not exactly going out on a limb.
Satan knows God exists.
All of Satan’s demons know God exists.
All of the myriad of souls currently occupying Hell, now, know that God exists.
And when I say “God,” I’m referring to The God who created all things and gave us all of The Books in The Bible.
And this is in addition to all of the souls who believe in The One True God, and in His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ, and those souls who believed in The One True God, and in His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ, before leaving this world for their heavenly home.
So, you are definitely not a member of some kind of special minority who believes in God.
The only people who don’t believe in The God of The Bible, don’t believe only because of ignorance, miseducation, or deception. All of which are perpetrated on humans by Satan and his minions.
And even those who are unaware of The Bible and The God of The Bible (the ignorant), the miseducated, or the intentionally deceived, believe in some kind of god, gods, or some other kind of natural or supernatural power.
We are then left with atheists, who are the only true and complete idiots. They believe everything, and I mean everything, came into existence by accident, progressed via evolution, and that when we die we are just fertilizer to be returned to the ground.
It takes a person with a truly impressive level of confusion to actually believe that the trillions and trillions of galaxies and the hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of trillions of stars and the hundreds and hundreds and hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of trillions and trillions of planets all came about out of nowhere and by accident. Not to mention the miracle of life, in all of its forms, on our own planet.
Some of the miseducated and deceived people worship Satan. This puts them into the idiot grouping as well. How can you worship The Devil, or The Evil One, without also acknowledging The True God, and that Satan exists by God’s will, just as we do.
Jesus did not just dismiss Satan’s power, here on Earth, however, and nor should we.
Jesus prayed “… and deliver us from evil (which some translate as ‘and deliver us from the evil one’).
Satan, or Lucifer, in The Bible, is referred to by many names and many titles. Those names and titles include: the tempter, the ruler of demons, the evil one, the enemy, father of lies, the ruler of this world, the god of this age, the adversary, the deceiver of the whole world, and the accuser of God’s people, among other names.
In the desert, when Satan took Jesus up on a high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”
Jesus responded, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’”
Jesus did not dispute Satan’s authority to offer these earthly things to him, however.
As we approach Easter Sunday, and the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection, it is a good thing to believe in God, but it is also necessary to acknowledge Jesus as our Savior, who was sacrificed on The Cross, to pay for our sins and the sins of the whole world, so that we may receive The Lord’s saving grace.
But it is also more than just an acknowledgement, it is about having a loving relationship with Jesus. By doing this, when we die, and our soul begins its journey from this world, Jesus will know and recognize us, and us him, so he can guide us to our heavenly home, and not become lost and misguided by the evil one.
And finally, when we stand before God to answer for our sins, to which of course there is no acceptable answer, that is when our friend, our Savior, Jesus, will intercede on our behalf, reminding His Father that He has already paid for these sins on our behalf.
Thank God, thank God for that, and thank you Lord Jesus.
Amen.

It’s more like the Imbalance of Unnatural bullsh#t.
Really, what in the h#ll is “natural” about swallowing capsules filled with pulverized and dried out plant material?
I’ve written about what a rip-off Balance of Nature is before, but I just have to call out these snake oil again.
If you haven’t seen the commercials for “Balance of Nature,” they have people claiming that taking these little miracle capsules, filled with this magical fruit and veggie powder, has cured any number of ailments.
They claim taking these magical capsules has turned their lives around.
They claim taking these magical capsules has brought them back from the brink of virtual life-ending incapacity.
“I could barely walk anymore, but now thanks to Balance of Nature I’m running marathons again!”
Hmmm…, let’s take a closer look.
“Balance of Nature” suggests we take just of their 3 fruit capsules and 3 veggie capsules per day.
If you take a look at the size of these capsules, this is like the equivalent of eating 3 strawberries and maybe 1 small carrot a day!
Wow!
And this is their miraculous cure all?!
That’s all it takes to turn an unhealthy life around?
That’s the fountain of youth for older customers who thought their lives were over?
They claim to “pack 10 servings of fruits and vegetables into 6 tiny capsules.”
Can we use a little common sense here?
Just a little?
I don’t care how much you dry out and smash and grind up something…, it is still going to take up the same basic amount of space. It’s just basic science.
These people want us to believe they have their own “Honey, I shrunk the fruits and veggies” process.
Well, they don’t.
Can we all agree on that?
I hope you’re nodding your head up and down.
Now we can proceed.
So, when we look at their bottle of fruits capsules and their bottle of veggies capsules, it’s like the equivalent of buying a couple bananas, a couple of apples, and a head of broccoli.
And for the equivalent of a couple bananas, a couple of apples, and a head of broccoli, you get to spend $89.95…, plus tax! That comes to about 50 cents per capsule.
That’s for a “thirty day supply.”
But, hey, shipping is free!
They say, “This is how nature intended” us to get our fruits and veggies!”
Really?!
What kind of plant grows those “natural” plastic capsules that they fill with their “natural” fruit and veggie powder?
Do you realize how many real fruits and real vegetables you could buy for $90?
On the flip side, taking these capsules certainly won’t hurt. And if you typically don’t eat ANY fruits or vegetables, taking these capsules is better than nothing…, but not by much. They certainly are not going to change your life or significantly improve your health.
People would be much better off investing in a bottle of good daily multi-vitamins, a bag of apples and a bag of carrots, at a fraction of what these miracle capsules cost.
So, the next time you see one of these commercials, and watch some person praising “Balance of Nature” for turning their life around, please know their life may have turned around for some reason, but it wasn’t because they took these little miracle capsules.

Yes, my friends…, when Illegitimate Joe prefaces a statement with the words “make no mistake,” a big lie is coming!
According to Sahil Kapur, of NBC News, “President Joe Biden told House Democrats that 2022 “may be the most important off-year election in modern history,” and gave his party credit for an improving economy and rejected blame for rising gas prices.”
This strategy of stating the obvious before dropping misinformation bombs, is an attempt to lend credibility to their lies. For example, “Roses are red, violets are blue, and the federal government is here to help you.”
“Democrats didn’t cause this problem. Vladimir Putin did,” Biden said of the Russian president. “Putin’s gas tax has pushed prices higher.”
It’s true that Putin’s actions have pushed gas prices higher…, but it’s not true that you sir, and “Democrats didn’t cause this problem,” because you did. You were handed energy independence by President Trump. All you had to do was nothing. But your first day in office, your first day, you immediately chose to hand our energy fate back to the Middle East, Russia, and Iran. Why would you and your anti-American friends do that, Joe?
“The president spoke to Democratic lawmakers as the party grapples with fierce political headwinds in the run-up to the 2022 midterm elections, with Republicans attempting to seize on voter angst to capture control of Congress.”
And those “headwinds” have definitely been earned. People aren’t just angry about gas prices and inflation in general. There is the crime issue, the defunding the police issue, the southern border and immigration issues, the COVID mandates issue, the parents vs. school boards issue, the DOJ vs. school parents issue, voting issues, censorship issues, and the list goes on and on.
If Republicans do so (capture control of the Congress), the president said Friday, “The only thing I’ll have then is the veto pen.”
I don’t know, Joe…, that executive order pen has been pretty devastating as well.
“Democrats are conflicted over the best path to hang on to their slim majorities. Some argue lawmakers should communicate better (they mean lie better), promote their victories (they mean make up things that could be construed as a victory) and focus on bipartisan opportunities (although they really have no interest in operating in any type of bipartisan manner). Others say that isn’t enough (that they won’t be able to lie their way out of this one), and that Democrats need more policy wins to improve people’s lives, including salvaging parts of Biden’s Build Back Better Act, to have a reasonable chance of retaining Congress.”
Ha! Ya, we wouldn’t want to try to improve people’s lives just to help people. But they’ll throw us all a bone here and there in an attempt to get re-elected, and then dictate their misery all over again. An excellent example of this would be Black Americans. Democrats always become extremely interested in Black Americans when election time rolls around. Then after the election, it’s crickets for another four years.
“Biden said, ‘The real reason prices are so high in the U.S., notwithstanding what Republicans say, is twofold: Covid’s disruptions to supply chains, and Putin’s war in Ukraine driving up gas prices. Make no mistake, inflation’s largely the fault of Putin.’”
“Make no mistake.”
Covid and Putin. The democrats will be riding this train all the way up to the elections later this year.
And the fake news…, the liberal propaganda news, will now continue to echo these falsehoods, like the good little anti-America co-conspirators they are.
Stay deplorable my friends.

I just filled-up my gas tank at a high of $4.10 a gallon! Well, really $409 and 9/10, but close enough.
But the climbing gas prices are just the tip of the iceberg.
We’ve also seen the abandonment of our energy independence, the perpetuation of COVID anti-science political lies, the Green bad deal, the Afghanistan debacle and embarrassment, the allowance of a crime wave across the nation, the persecution of patriotic parents and Americans in general, and now Ukraine and the possibility of WWIII…, just for starters.
Yes, let’s go Brandon! But, not only “Brandon.”
Let’s go Brandon’s “handlers,” advisors, and policy dictators! Such as Susan Rice, Jake Sullivan, John Kerry, Anthony Fauci, Rochelle Walensky, Kate Bedingfield, and Jen Psaki. You may have to wash your mouth out with soap if actually say their names out loud. Sorry about that.
Let’s go Brandon’s political party, comrades Schumer and Pelosi, all of Brandon’s unelected “swamp monsters” in the DOJ, FBI, DOD, CDC, NIAID, and the NIH, Brandon’s co-conspiracist propaganda media, and all the rest of the anti-American democrat party.
If you were one of the living and valid citizens who actually voted for Sleepy Joe and Cackling Kamala, hopefully you have seen the error in your ways and have fled “the dark side.”
If not, or you choose to perpetuate the anti-American democrat agenda, the let’s go Brandon and you too!
I think that just about covers it.
Stay thirsty for the truth, my friends, and stay strong.

According to Reuters News Agency, on February 14, “Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked rarely-used special measures to end protests that have shut some border crossings and paralyzed downtown Ottawa.”
“He said he would invoke the Emergencies Act to deal with the ‘Freedom Convoy’ protests, started on Jan. 28 by Canadian truckers opposing a vaccinate-or-quarantine mandate for cross-border drivers. They have turned into a rallying point for people opposed to a range of Trudeau’s policies, including COVID-19 pandemic restrictions and a carbon tax.”
“The act gives the government temporary powers it does not normally have, such as the power to impose special restrictions on public assembly and travel, and to mobilize federal support for local and provincial police. It gives the federal government power to implement temporary measures to ensure safety and security during national emergencies.”
Ottawa’s police chief shed some additional light on what these “measures to ensure safety” looks like. According to The National Post, “‘We will actively look to identify you’: Ottawa police chief warns departed protesters.”
‘“If you are involved in this protest, we will actively look to identify you and follow up with financial sanctions and criminal charges,’ Ottawa police tweeted Sunday. A day earlier, interim Police Chief Steve Bell was asked whether police would continue to go after those protesters who had remained in Ottawa, even if they chose to go home at some point.”
‘“The simple answer is yes,’ he said, adding the investigation would go on for ‘months to come.’”
Okay, Heinrich Himmler Jr.!
And Trudeau has the nerve to call the protesters Nazis?!
This doesn’t sound like a “temporary” emergency act to me.
‘“You have my commitment that that investigation will continue and we will hold people accountable for taking our streets over,’ Bell said.”
“At the Ottawa police press conference Saturday, Bell noted there are different streams to the ongoing investigations, from ‘a federal financial level, from a provincial licensing level, from a Criminal Code level, from municipal breach of court order, breach of court injunction level. It will be a complicated and time-consuming investigation that will go on for a period of time.’”
Reuters continues, “A declaration of a public welfare emergency allows the government to regulate the distribution of essential goods, decide what are essential services, and impose fines on violations of the act.”
“Banks and financial institutions will be able to temporarily freeze the accounts of those suspected of supporting the blockades, without obtaining a court order.”
“WITHOUT OBTAINNG A COURT ORDER!”
“The insurance on vehicles being used in the protests can also be suspended.”
“Trudeau said the measures would be ‘geographically specific and targeted only to where they are needed.’ They will also be ‘time limited.’”
Really? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see about that.
Even as I’m writing this blog, “Canada’s parliament backed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s decision to invoke rarely-used emergency powers to end pandemic-related protests that have blocked streets in the capital Ottawa (for three more weeks).”
“The Emergencies Act was approved in parliament by 185 to 151, with the minority Liberal government getting support from left-leaning New Democrats.”
You can always count on the democrats (in Canada and the U.S.) to get behind anything that limits freedom and gives more power to the federal government.
I’ll be keeping you posted.

Yes, my friends, The Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II, has tested positive for the COVID virus!
According to the New York Times, “‘Buckingham Palace confirm that The Queen has today tested positive for Covid,’ the palace said in a statement. ‘Her Majesty is experiencing mild, cold-like symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week. She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines.’”
She wasn’t “following the appropriate guidelines” before? If she was, it obviously didn’t help, since she has the virus now anyway.
“Buckingham Palace has labored to protect the queen from exposure to the virus. She retreated to Windsor Castle in early 2020 with her husband, Prince Philip, and lived in virtual quarantine for more than a year.”
So, why am I sharing this with you, and making such a big deal about it?
I’m sharing this news about The Queen to make a point.
IF, ARGUABLY, THE MOST PROTECTED PERSON IN THE WORLD CAN GET THE VIRUS, AFTER HAVING ALL OF HER SHOTS AND BOOSTERS, AND QUARANTING FOR OVER A YEAR, THEN EVERYBODY ELSE IN THIS WORLD MAY AS WELL THROW THEIR MASKS AWAY AND JUST LIVE THEIR LIVES. BECAUSE NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO, THEY WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO PROTECT THEMSELVES ENOUGH!
Let me repeat that.
IF, ARGUABLY, THE MOST PROTECTED PERSON IN THE WORLD (THE QEEN OF ENGAND) CAN GET THE VIRUS, AFTER HAVING ALL OF HER SHOTS AND BOOSTERS, AND QUARANTING FOR OVER A YEAR, THEN EVERYBODY ELSE IN THIS WORLD MAY AS WELL THROW THEIR MASKS AWAY AND JUST LIVE THEIR LIVES. BECAUSE NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO, THEY WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO PROTECT THEMSELVES ENOUGH!
Just sayin’.

Isn’t it sad that this question still needs to be asked?
After all of these years, and after throwing billions of dollars at the homeless, this problem only seems to be getting worse.
How can this be?
I keep thinking there must be a multitude of people smarter than me out there who are working on this problem…, but apparently not.
And, again, why is the current homeless situation acceptable somehow?
Well, it isn’t acceptable to me.
And it shouldn’t be acceptable for any of us in the United States of America.
For example, did you know that Seattle spends $100,000 “to help” each and every single homeless man, woman and child there!
It’s true.
$100,000 a person!!!
Seattle and its surrounding suburbs spend over ONE BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR addressing the homeless situation there!
OVER ONE BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR!!!
So what can be the problem you ask?
Well, the simple answer is that Seattle is considered by many to be one of the most liberal cities in the United States.
When democrats are running the show, it seems that NO AMOUNT OF MONEY IS EVER ENOUGH! Republicans are not blameless, however, either.
Let’s look at this more closely.
If you just gave a homeless family of four $100,000 each, or $400,000 (I was always good at math!) a year, they should be able to live very comfortably.
In fact, more comfortably than most people in this country!
So what is happening to all of that money between point A and point C?
Well, if point A represents all of taxpayer funding and donations, and Point C represents the homeless, point B represents government, stupidity, and corruption.
The truth is the liberals/democrats don’t really want to solve the problem…, they want to retain their power and their bureaucracy, while punishing and blaming the people who pay for all of their foolishness.
That being said, I would like to offer my services and submit for your consideration, my proposal to deal with this homeless crisis.
If you are a government entity at the local, state, or federal level, you have my permission use and implement my plan without question. You can even claim my homeless strategy as your own…, I don’t care, as long as we begin to actually do something that is effective regarding all of the homeless people in our country.
Typically, many communities are spending an adequate amount of money to address their homeless problem…, they’re just not spending their money appropriately or wisely.
There are many different reason for being “homeless.”
First, we need to divide the homeless into areas of situation and areas of need.
Families are treated differently, and routed to a family specific center. Families would have all of the same considerations that individuals do plus the additional considerations for any children, regarding family continuity, safety considerations and school requirements.
If we’re dealing with an individual, we need to determine what exactly their situation is and route them to an appropriate assistance center.
Each of the following determinations would have its own specific assistance center.
We start and the top of this list and work our way down. A person may fit into multiple stops on this list before finally not being “homeless” anymore.
Our overall goal is to not have anyone living on the streets, and to make sure everyone is being properly assisted and treated for whatever may be ailing them.
The list below is a top-down process. Each homeless individual stops at whatever step they require until they are no longer homeless.
Is this person a veteran? Then they are routed to a VA center or military base.
Is the person physically ill? Then they are sent to hospital or clinic for treatment.
Is the person mentally ill? Then they are routed to an appropriate mental health facility.
Is the person addicted to drugs? Then they are routed to the appropriate drug rehabilitation facility.
Does the person have an alcohol addiction? Then they are routed to the appropriate alcohol rehabilitation facility.
Is this person disabled, receiving assistance, but needs shelter?
Does this person need shelter and help getting assistance?
Does this person need shelter and help getting employment?
Is this person a victim of circumstances not covered above?
Once the proper determination has been made, the individual would either receive the required medical treatment, be treated for their respective mental illness, treated for their addiction, and/or assisted with their administrative processes.
Our homeless population doesn’t need “band aid” or “feel good” solutions…, or free needles and crack pipes!
Our homeless need real solutions, and so do we.
Yeah, but how are we going to pay for all of this you might ask?
Well, besides using the money we are already spending, which isn’t really helping at all, we can start by using the $300 million we just sent to the Taliban. Then we could use the $1 billion dollars they’re talking about bribing Russia with to back off of The Ukraine. Then we can start redirecting more of the billions of dollars of foreign aid we send all around the world, while hundreds of thousands of our own people are sleeping on the street.
People don’t mind paying for things that make sense, are effective, and that are run honestly and efficiently.
If I ever come across a government program like this I’ll let you know.
In the meantime, please don’t hold your breath.
Please let me know what you think of my homeless strategy, and any possible ways it could be improved upon!

“Forrest Gump” is one of my favorite movies. It’s not only a movie about an amazing person and an improbable hero, but an inspiring movie as well.
In the movie, we were all made quite aware that Forrest isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer, nor does he communicate particularly well, but…, as we learn throughout the rest of the movie, his redeeming qualities are quite impressive.
Forrest was honest with everyone he interacted with, and he had nothing to hide.
His moral compass was straight forward and non-negotiable.
Forrest was extremely loyal and caring. Who could ask for a better son, a better father, or a better friend?
Forrest accepted his responsibilities, and did what was right and what was needed to be done without question or complaint.
Forrest was able to focus on, and master, one thing at a time, which is a valuable lesson. Most of us are destined to become a “Jack of all trades, but a master of none.”
And, Forrest “knew what love is.”
Whether it as playing football, being a soldier, playing ping pong, running, or being a shrimp boat captain, Forrest strived to do his best at whatever he was focused on at the time.
It was really quite simple.
During my time as an elementary school teacher, my class would routinely read about other children who had accomplished great things in the worlds of music, or sports, etc.
I would ask my kids what they felt was stopping them from accomplishing those same things?
I usually would not get much of a reply as they pondered the question.
I would then proceed to let them know that THEY were the only thing stopping themselves from accomplishing great things.
They were the ones listening to people who said they couldn’t do this, or couldn’t do that.
They were the ones sabotaging their own potential accomplishments.
And we all know that, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.”
Then there is the matters of dedication and sacrifice.
I would tell the kids, it’s not necessarily a matter of talent or knowledge, but a matter of desire.
I would remind them that in the story we read, the boy or girl normally talked about getting up early every day and practicing many hours each day.
I would ask them, “Don’t you think you’d be very good at playing a given instrument, or playing a given sport, if you practiced as much as this other kid did?”
Our education system is not designed for each student to reach their full potential. Our education system is designed to help make our students productive citizens…, and it doesn’t even to a good job at that.
Should we all be more like Forrest Gump?
Definitely.
