The Queen has COVID???!!!

Yes, my friends, The Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II, has tested positive for the COVID virus!

According to the New York Times, “‘Buckingham Palace confirm that The Queen has today tested positive for Covid,’ the palace said in a statement. ‘Her Majesty is experiencing mild, cold-like symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week. She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines.’”

She wasn’t “following the appropriate guidelines” before? If she was, it obviously didn’t help, since she has the virus now anyway.

“Buckingham Palace has labored to protect the queen from exposure to the virus. She retreated to Windsor Castle in early 2020 with her husband, Prince Philip, and lived in virtual quarantine for more than a year.”

So, why am I sharing this with you, and making such a big deal about it?

I’m sharing this news about The Queen to make a point.

IF, ARGUABLY, THE MOST PROTECTED PERSON IN THE WORLD CAN GET THE VIRUS, AFTER HAVING ALL OF HER SHOTS AND BOOSTERS, AND QUARANTING FOR OVER A YEAR, THEN EVERYBODY ELSE IN THIS WORLD MAY AS WELL THROW THEIR MASKS AWAY AND JUST LIVE THEIR LIVES. BECAUSE NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO, THEY WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO PROTECT THEMSELVES ENOUGH!

Let me repeat that.

IF, ARGUABLY, THE MOST PROTECTED PERSON IN THE WORLD (THE QEEN OF ENGAND) CAN GET THE VIRUS, AFTER HAVING ALL OF HER SHOTS AND BOOSTERS, AND QUARANTING FOR OVER A YEAR, THEN EVERYBODY ELSE IN THIS WORLD MAY AS WELL THROW THEIR MASKS AWAY AND JUST LIVE THEIR LIVES. BECAUSE NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO, THEY WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO PROTECT THEMSELVES ENOUGH!
