Is a Rise in Vigilantism on Our Horizon?

I would suggest that “YES,” “A Rise in Vigilantism on Our Horizon.”

How long are law abiding people going to put up with this widespread lawlessness we see every day?

How long is it going to be before people start taking “the law” into their own hands?

How long before it starts looking like the Wild West again?

How long before our cities are run by gangs, and Mob bosses again?

I would contend not very much longer.

It’s not that the government can’t protect its citizens.

It’s that the government is choosing not to protect its citizens.

By defunding the police, and basically neutering the police, criminals know they have gained the advantage.

By allowing repeat, and repeat, and repeat, and repeat offenders out without bail, when they do manage to get caught, our government chooses the rights of the criminal over the rights of citizens, and the rights of victims.

By choosing to not prosecute, and hold many of these criminals responsible for their actions, the government is promoting lawlessness, while throwing law abiding citizens under the bus.

The only people who are protected are the politicians, government officials, and those who can afford to hire their own private security.

How in the hell did we get to this point?

How long is it going to be before we see groups like The Guardian Angels start operating again, just for starters?

But rest assured, the government will be quick to dole out “justice” to any group interested in real public safety or justice.

We do have a right to defend ourselves…, right?

You would think this would go without saying, but that’s not the case.

While Florida had to make it clear that people have a right to “stand their ground,” in places like New York City we see their laws state that people have a “duty to retreat,” and only defend themselves when there is no other option.

Say what?

I say…, say what?

We pay quite a bit in taxes for government protection and Safety services. Boy, are we getting ripped-off! We’re not only not being protected, but we are paying for not being protected, while also funding their “injustice” campaign.

Not only is government not effectively protecting its citizens, the same citizens then have to worry about being prosecuted by that same government when we defend ourselves.

We are truly living in a “Bizarro” world.

We have already seen occurrences of various groups taking the law into their own hands. And who can blame them?

According to Snopes.com (a well-regarded fact-checking website), and David Mikkelson, “Emerson (Steve Emerson, a terrorism expert) began his set of remarks by claiming a number of Muslim no-go zones existed in areas of the U.S., England, France, and other western countries.”

“According to Emerson, ‘Sharia law’ essentially overrode the laws of the countries in which these said zones were located, and local police avoided interceding in the affected areas.”

That’s a nice way of saying the police were ushered out of these areas whenever they got too close to venturing in.

“Well, these ‘no go zones’ exist not only in France, but they exist throughout Europe. They’re sort of amorphous, they’re not contiguous necessarily, but they’re sort of safe havens and they’re places where the governments like France, Britain, Sweden, and Germany don’t exercise any sovereignty. So you basically have zones where Shariah courts were set up, where Muslim density is very intense, where the police don’t go in, and where it’s basically a separate country almost, a country within a country.”

We saw this especially in the U.S. with the democrat supported Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) zone in Seattle, where local government sanctioned police were not permitted. In most cases, however, these self-governing zones are not so official, or set apart by physical lines of demarcation. These areas are particularly evident in areas of Michigan and Minnesota.

“Emerson continued by insinuating authorities in areas such as France and the UK denied the existence of ‘no-go’ zones in their countries and claimed the entire city of Birmingham, England, was one such example of a no-go zone in which “non-Muslim” residents were not permitted.”

This reminds me of gang related neighborhoods of the past, with the Italian controlled neighborhoods, the Hispanic controlled neighborhoods, the Black controlled neighborhoods, the Irish controlled neighborhoods, the Asian controlled neighborhoods, etc.

People want to live and work in an environment that at least offers some degree of safety and justice, regardless of who is able to supply it.

Let me say that again.

People want to live and work in an environment that at least offers some degree of safety and justice, regardless of who is able to supply it.

Just be aware that the lawless chaos we are starting to experience is just what our government wants, until it gets bad enough that they have to ride in on their white horse and save us all by allowing them to operate without question and without any oversight.

One day their message, the democrats’ message, will flip overnight from “defund the police” to “submit unconditionally to the police, as long as we control the new “Gestapo” police.”

Hopefully we are able to reign-in the new Nazi-Democrat party before it gets to that point.

Hopefully.

Who are these people?!!!

We’ll get into what “people” I’m talking about after some background information first.

In case you haven’t heard, as reported by the BBC, “Wisconsin: Five dead after car ploughs into Waukesha Christmas parade.”

“At least five people have been killed and more than 40 injured after a car ploughed into a Christmas parade in the US state of Wisconsin, police say.”

“School bands and a dance troupe of grannies were among those marching through the city of Waukesha when a red SUV came speeding down the road.”

“It hit dozens of people, including children.”

“One person (Darrell Brooks) is in custody. The incident does not appear “at this time” to be an act of terrorism, one official said.”

“The suspect appeared to have been fleeing another scene, when he ran into people at the parade, the law enforcement official, who is familiar with the early findings of the investigation, told the BBC’s US partner CBS News.”

“Local resident Angelito Tenorio told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel newspaper he had just finished marching in the parade when the SUV ‘put the pedal to the metal and just [started] zooming full speed along the parade route’ at about (4:30 local time) on Sunday.

“‘Then we heard a loud bang, and just deafening cries and screams from people who are struck by the vehicle,’ he said.”

“Corey Montiho said his daughter’s dance team was hit by the SUV.”

“‘There were pom-poms and shoes and spilled hot chocolate everywhere. I had to go from one crumpled body to the other to find my daughter,’ he told the paper.”

“Sarah Saldivar, who was at the parade with her two young children, told CBS News she saw ‘a red blur’ and then saw ‘little girls flying through the air.’”

“Jason Kellner told the New York Times newspaper he had just watched his son go past with his school marching band when the car came towards the crowd and ‘started mowing people down.’”

“‘I’ve never felt a worse feeling; wondering what I’m going to find when I get to my kid,’ he said.”

“Mr. Kellner found his son standing unharmed at the side of the road, but saw several injured people and pulled a bloody saxophone off the street.”

“Mayor Shawn Reilly described the incident as a ‘horrible, senseless tragedy.’”

Yes, it was Mr. Mayor. It was a “horrible, senseless tragedy” that should never have happened, if the judges and prosecutors there had been doing their job, instead of being leftist political activists.

“‘I am deeply saddened to know that so many in our community went to a parade but ended up dealing with injury and heartache,’ he said.”

Yes, Mr. Mayor. These people now have to deal with “injury and heartache” thanks to public officials, who were supposed to be protecting them, but instead released this serial criminal back onto the streets to cause more harm.

“Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff across the state in honor of the victims.”

Gee, thanks for that Governor Evers. You’re a real man of action.

So, when I ask, “Who are these people?” I’m referring the presiding judge, the district attorney, and the public prosecutors.

Who are these people who decided to ignore a rap sheet over 50 pages long?!

Who are these people who let this serial criminal out on bail three days earlier, after he tried to run down his baby momma with his car?!

Who are these people who agreed to lower his bail to a mere $1,000, so he could get back to terrorizing the community without delay?!

Who are these people who didn’t even feel it was appropriate to at least suspend his driver’s license?!

Who are these people who ignored the fact that he had an open warrant out for his arrest (in Arizona?), but decided to set him free anyway?!

WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE, AND WHY ARE THEY ALLOWED TO ACT AS PROTECTORS OF THE CRIMINALS AND NOT AS PROTECTORS OF THE LAW ABIDING CITIZENS OF THEIR COMMUNITY?!

As I’ve stated in previous blogs, when is enough, enough?  A rap sheet 50 pages long?  At what point do we just recognize that a person is unable to live along side of us in our society…, after they are convicted 10 times?  20 times?  30 times?  Shouldn’t there be some kind of limit, as ridiculous as it may be?

This guy didn’t “slip through the cracks” of our justice system, he is typical of how our “justice” system operates now.

The Waukesha District Attorney now says that bail will be set so high he won’t be able to get out prior to his trial.

Well, thank you very much, but isn’t it a bit late now?  Thanks to you all, the damage has now already been done.

Perhaps the presiding judge, the DA, and the public prosecutor should have to walk out in front of the people and explain why this criminal was allowed to do the things he did, along with the Mayor, the police chief, and the fire chief?

Perhaps the judge, the DA, and the prosecutor should be held responsible for their pathetic and contemptible actions regarding this serial criminal?

Although, this sadly is nothing new.

Here are some of my prior blogs addressing the very same topic:

What ever happened to “three strikes and ‘yer’ out” dated June 23, 2020.

… and, Here we go, again! Dated January 26, 2021.

The news outlets continually point out these miscarriages of justice, but we never hear directly from the judges, the DAs, and the prosecutors.

Why not?

Why are they protected any more than we are?

It’s way past time we hold these judges, DAs, and prosecutors accountable for being accomplices in these hideous crimes.

UNBELIEVABLE…, AGAIN!!!

Here…, again…, we see an individual committing a heinous crime, who should not have even be walking around free among us.

According to Gene Saladna, of WFTV.com Orlando and Sarah Wilson, of WFTV.com Orlando, “He’s pure evil: Man with 230 prior felony charges, 2 others arrested on charges related to killing of 3 friends prior to fishing trip in Polk County.”

aflorida 2

230 prior felony charges!!!

aflorida 8

And how many other charges did he have that didn’t rise to the level of being felonies?

It’s actually beyond comprehension.

“POLK COUNTY, Fla. — Three people have been arrested on charges related to the killing of three friends who met up for a fishing trip in Polk County last week, Sheriff Grady Judd announced Wednesday.”

aflorida 1

“Judd said Tony ‘TJ’ Wiggins, 26, and his girlfriend, Mary Whittemore, 27, and Tony’s brother, William ‘Robert’ Wiggins, 21, were all arrested this week on charges related to the deaths of 23-year-old Damion Tillman, 30-year-old Keven Springfield and 27-year-old Brandon Rollins.”

aflorida 4

aflorida 5

“Tony, who Judd said has 230 felony criminal charges in his arrest history dating back to age 12, is charged with first degree murder, tampering with evidence, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.”

‘“He’s a thug. He’s a criminal. He’s pure evil in the flesh,’ Judd said. ‘He’s wild and he’s out of control.’”

And he was allowed to be out here in society to prey on some other, poor, unsuspecting, individuals.

That is the real crime here.

“Judd said Tony has 15 felony convictions on his record and has served two sentences in state prison.”

“Deputies said Robert [Tony’s brother] is charged with tampering with evidence and accessory after the fact of capital felony, and Whittemore Tony’s girlfriend] is charged with accessory after the fact of capital felony.”

“Judd detailed the timeline of what happened on Friday night that led to the massacre near a lake in rural Frostproof. He said Tillman stopped at a Dollar General on his way to meet his friends, where security camera footage captured him have a brief conversation with Tony.”

“Judd said Tillman mentioned to the cashier that he was meeting his friend Kevin to go fishing. Ten minutes later, Judd said Tillman and his two friends were all shot and dying.”

“Judd said Tony, Robert and Whittemore all lived off the grid in a rural area near Frostproof and Lake Wales.”

“Judd previously described the scene of the attack as ‘about as far out in the woods as you can get.’ In 2018, the city of Frostproof recorded only 3,273 residents, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.”

“It has shaken Frostproof to its very core,” Judd said.

‘“We’ve got to bring these people to justice,’ Judd said.”

It seems he has been “brought to justice” many times before.  How did that work out for everybody?

I heard he is being held without bail.

Well, thank you very much.

So, 230 felonies were enough to realize he shouldn’t be running around amongst other law-abiding citizens, huh?

You apparently can’t get anything past these people!

When are these prosecutors and judges going to start being held accountable for their actions?

If you [the judges and prosecutors] don’t want to do your jobs protecting citizens, just let us know and we’ll go back to the wild west days and start dispensing our own “justice.”

“We’re as mad as hell, and we’re not going to take this anymore!!!”

Jeff DeGraff, Ph. D. for Psychology Today writes, ‘“I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore’ declared the longtime news anchor Howard Beale in the 1975 film classic ‘Network.’  In the picture [movie], people everywhere toss open their windows and repeat the catchphrase with a barbaric yell.  Sadly, Howard Beale, symbolic spokesman for the hoi polloi [the common people], comes to realize that the system co-opts both social and economic power to its own advantage. The movie is a parable about how all of our screaming really changes very little and in the act we often lose our voice.”

agranny 3

Fast forward to the year 2020.

According to Danielle Wallace of Fox News. “Texas police union voices outrage after recently released career criminal fatally stabs grandma, 80, in broad daylight.”

agranny 1

“A Texas career criminal who was recently released from jail despite being arrested nearly 70 times is accused of fatally stabbing an 80-year-old woman out shopping Saturday, police said.”

agranny 2

“The suspect, 38-year-old Randy Roszell Lewis, was shot and killed by a responding officer who was flagged down by witnesses at the scene. Police said the man was armed with the 6-inch blade.”

Thank God.

Thank God they killed this guy!

Thank God they killed this guy, or he probably would have been released again and killed someone else’s mother or grandmother!

What the hell is going on in this country?!

“The incident sparked outrage from the Houston Police Officers’ Union, which blamed the ‘total failure’ of criminal justice reform for his release weeks earlier — without paying bail.”

Being “outraged” is all well and good, and certainly justified…, but when are we going to move past being outraged and start demanding that people be held accountable for these all too often tragedies we see more and more of these days?

“Lewis allegedly stabbed 80-year-old Rosalie Cook in the chest as she returned to her car after shopping inside a Walgreens in Houston. She was pronounced dead at a local hospital.”

“Her son, Chuck Cook, said his mother was a ‘perfect’ grandma to six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.”

‘“Nobody should have to go through this, an 80-year-old woman, disabled, who had to walk with a cane,’ Cook said.”

That’s exactly right, Mr. Cook.  This horrendous crime was completely avoidable, if not for a broken justice system and incompetent judges.

agranny 9

As American citizens, one of the most basic things we expect from our government is protection from individuals who refuse act in a civilized manner in our society.

We expect law enforcement to apprehend these offenders…, we expect the government to effectively prosecute these individuals, and we expect the judicial system to sentence those found guilty commensurate with their crime.

If for some reason the government fails at this, or balks at its responsibility, then we will start to see a breakdown in our society, and people will begin to take the law into their own hands…, and who could blame them?

agranny 8

“Police said officers were already in the area after receiving calls around 10:15 a.m. about a man matching Lewis’ description demanding money from shoppers at knife point by a nearby grocery store.”

“Two years ago, Lewis was charged with assaulting a public servant — breaking the person’s nose — while being transferred to county jail, KHOU reported.”

“In all, he had been arrested 67 times and has faced dozens of charges throughout his life, including assault, theft, trespassing, the possession of marijuana and burglary of a vehicle, the Houston Police Officers’ Union said.”

He’s been arrested 67 times and has faced dozens of charges.

‘“Randy Lewis should never have been free. Now an innocent woman has been murdered. Everyone deserves better. This is absolutely shameful,’ the Houston Police Officers’ Union tweeted Monday, sharing his public record.”

Exactly.  “Randy Lewis should never have been free.”

agranny 4

And it is “absolutely shameful” this poor woman was murdered.

But you know what’s more shameful?  The fact that no one is going to have to answer for her death beyond Randy Lewis.

Sure, Randy Lewis committed the murder…, but he had numerous accomplices in the justice system and government who will never face the music for their parts in this crime.

agranny 10

agranny 6

‘“The defendant had a history of mental illness and he should have been kept off the streets. He recently absconded from the personal-care facility where the judge ordered he live instead of being held in jail,’ the Houston District Attorney’s Office said in a statement.”

“The judge had not issued a warrant for his arrest even when he had absconded, so police did not even know to look for him and unfortunately this tragedy occurred before he could be returned to court.”

‘“Where’s the outrage when our cops are putting their lives on the line arresting the same person time and again who’s got a violent history,’ Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo told KHOU.”

True…, but at least the police know they’re putting their lives on the line in the line of duty.  These judges are putting the lives of the rest of us on the line by their irresponsible actions, and we have no reason to expect this kind of malpractice.

“He said the department would review body camera and security footage of the incident. He added the officer who shot Lewis was a nine-year veteran of the force.”

Yes…, they should review the footage to determine how big of a medal he should get!

This officer did everyone a favor by putting an end to this walking piece of garbage.
