The Media: From Watch Dogs to Lap Dogs!

Yes, my friends…, it’s true.

But first, let’s establish what we’re talking about here.

Harvard’s “Colonel Watchdog” publication says, “Watchdog journalism is a form of investigative journalism where journalists, authors or publishers of a news publication fact-check and interview political and public figures to increase accountability. Watchdog journalism usually takes on a form of beat reporting about specific aspects and issues.”

Author Thomas Hanitzsch, from his book “Deconstructing Journalism Culture: Toward a Universal Theory,” writes, “In the course of their work, watchdog journalists gather information about wrongdoings of people in power and deliver it to the public, so the public can understand what happens in society and stop wrongdoings. Watchdog journalism is different from propagandist journalists, who often report articles from a government’s perspective. Due to watchdog journalism’s unique features, it also often works as the fourth estate (or the fourth branch of government). The general issues, topics, or scandals that watchdog journalists cover are political corruption and any wrongdoings of people in power such as government officials or corporation executives. One of the important things that watchdog journalists have to do is uncover hidden evidence about wrongdoings.”

According to The Lufkin Daily News, “America’s Founders regarded a free press as so vital to the new nation that they took care to include that right in the First Amendment to the Constitution.”

“The Founders spoke glowingly about the press as a pillar of democracy and guarantor of liberty. Thomas Jefferson, for instance, famously wrote in 1787 that ‘were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.’”

“George Washington framed the issue of free expression in almost apocalyptic terms: ‘If freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.’”

“Yet discussing the free press of their day, the Founders also could often sound like those who are decrying ‘fake news’ in 2020.”

“Under a barrage of criticism from newspapers published by his political opponents, Washington painted journalists as ‘infamous scribblers.’ Benjamin Franklin, himself a very successful newspaper publisher, described the press of his time as a resentful, vicious institution comparable to the Spanish Inquisition.”

“Jefferson frequently condemned the press as passionately as he had advanced their right to publish freely. ‘I deplore … the putrid state into which our newspapers have passed and the malignity, the vulgarity, and mendacious spirit of those who write for them,’ he wrote in 1814. ‘Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper,’ he complained in a letter to another friend.”

“For good measure he wrote to his ally in Congress, the Massachusetts politician Barnabas Bidwell: ‘As for what is not true, you will always find abundance in the newspapers.’”

“On this Independence Day 244 years later, it’s worth reflecting on the lessons the Founders have for us as we assess the role and the practices of the news media today.”

“The first lesson is that while the nation’s leaders and institutions may chafe under the public criticism that accompanies reporting of their shortcomings, the role of the press in holding those leaders and institutions accountable is indispensable to the workings of a democratic society.”

“Most importantly, the press’ proper role must be recognized by the leaders and institutions being held accountable.”

“As abused as he was by the partisan press, Jefferson nevertheless declared, ‘I am … for freedom of the press, and against all violations of the Constitution to silence by force and not by reason the complaints or criticisms, just or unjust, of our citizens against the conduct of their agents.’”

“Among those slinging partisan unjust criticisms was the newspaper co-founded by James Madison, who reasoned that ‘some degree of abuse is inseparable from the proper use of everything, and in no instance is this more true than in that of the press.’”

“Yet, he went on to argue that trying to regulate the ‘abuse’ of the press threatens to strangle its vitality and utility to a free people: ‘To the press alone, checkered as it is with abuses, the world is indebted for all the triumphs which have been gained by reason and humanity over error and oppression.’”

“And therein lies the most fundamental lesson the Founders have for us in 2020: The press and the government may often have an adversarial relationship — but the government must not attempt to delegitimize the press and its work because they are essential to a free society.”

“Would any of us want to live in a country where the news media isn’t freely allowed to report on the actions of its government? Any harm done by an overreaching press would be nothing compared to a government left unchecked. As much as the news media may rub some the wrong way, it is frightening to think of a society with no free press.”

I think we can all agree that none of us would want to, “live in a country where the news media isn’t freely allowed to report on the actions of its government.”

The problem is, there isn’t much of the media remaining which is actually doing this.

In fact, we see the majority of the “news” media choosing to ignore many stories by partaking in propaganda by omission, like Hillary’s emails, Hillary’s promotion of the Russian hoax against President Trump, Hunter Biden’s escapades along with Illegitimate Joe’s involvement, or the manipulation of the 2020 election, for example, or outrightly promoting false democrat narratives, like the media promoting the Russian hoax against President Trump for over three straight years, along with their daily regurgitation of democrat talking points.

As much as the Founding Fathers questioned the free press back in their day, I think they would be stunned and greatly alarmed at the role the media is playing with our government, and politics in general, today.

Yes, for the most part, the media in 2022 has completed its evolution from government Watch Dogs to liberal government Lap Dogs.

Fake News…, Fake News everywhere!

According to David Rutz of Fox News, “The Washington Post made a massive correction Monday to a January report about a phone call between then-President Donald Trump and Georgia elections investigator Frances Watson, admitting it wrongly attributed multiple quotes to Trump based on an anonymous source.”

An “Anonymous source.”

Using “anonymous sources” give the democrat propaganda fake news media license to make up any story they want.

Let’s see how many negative stories are attributed to “anonymous sources” over the next four years about Illegitimate Joe and his democrat friends in Washington.

My guess would be ZERO.

Regarding former President Trump, and anyone around him, it was an almost daily occurrence.

“The Post initially reported Trump had told an official working in Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s office to ‘find the fraud’ in the state, which he lost narrowly to Joe Biden, and that she would be a ‘national hero’ if she did.”

My first reaction would be, “so, what?”

“However, a newly emerged recording of the Dec. 23 call found he didn’t use those words. Instead, Trump said she would be ‘praised’ when the ‘right answer comes out’ and encouraged her to closely examine mail-in ballots in Fulton County, the heavily blue and most populated county in the state.”

My biggest issue here is with this “newly emerged recording” stuff.

How many recordings of their calls with former President Trump are there?

It’s like they recorded their conversations with him (Is this even legal?), in the hopes of being able to “catch” him in the act of something…, and if they couldn’t they just made up remarks and attributed them to him.

On a side note, how many “leaked” call with President Biden do you think we’ll be hearing about?

Again, my guess would be ZERO.

“The Post published a lengthy correction to its story: ‘Correction: Two months after publication of this story, the Georgia secretary of state released an audio recording of President Donald Trump’s December phone call with the state’s top elections investigator. The recording revealed that The Post misquoted Trump’s comments on the call, based on information provided by a source. Trump did not tell the investigator to ‘find the fraud’ or say she would be ‘a national hero’ if she did so. Instead, Trump urged the investigator to scrutinize ballots in Fulton County, Ga., asserting she would find ‘dishonesty’ there. He also told her that she had ‘the most important job in the country right now.’ A story about the recording can be found here. The headline and text of this story have been corrected to remove quotes misattributed to Trump.’”

Well, isn’t that nice?

“CNN also reported on the call citing an unnamed source and waited until Monday afternoon to correct its story, after initially stating Trump said ‘national hero’ and ‘find the fraud’ in its opening paragraph. Many outlets picked up the story, including Vox, ABC News, and NBC News.”

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anybody.

They all jumped into the pool of lies and democrat propaganda, just like they always do.

Sooo predictably “swampy.”

“While news outlets often cite sources who paraphrase conversations they participated in or overheard, using quotes indicates to the reader a subject said those exact words.”

Reeeeeally?

Thank you, professor!

‘“Our media are so, so, so breathtakingly corrupt,’ Fox News contributor Mollie Hemingway tweeted. ‘They *always* mischaracterized this call — in a corrupt and fraudulent way. But to actually make up quotes in service of that? We are so screwed. By our disgustingly corrupt and unaccountable media.’”

Much like their “mischaracterizations” of President Trump’s call with the Ukrainian President…, only those “mischaracterizations” were much worse.

“After MSNBC’s Hayes Brown defended the Post and praised its correction, Hemingway fired back that it was hardly a ‘self-policing win.’”

‘“So, they made up quotes? What in the actual F?’ conservative CNN commentator Mary Katharine Ham tweeted.”

“Conservative writer Mark Hemingway said the Post’s correction and new headline did not adequately reflect its wrongdoing, calling the mistake ‘beyond serious’ and indicative of the lack of accountability in corporate media.”

“In the conversation with Watson, Trump continued to claim he won Georgia by ‘hundreds of thousands of votes’ (which he did) and ‘something bad happened’ there (which it did).”

“Watson told Trump her team and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was focused on finding the truth and looking into any claims of fraud or wrongdoing.”

“Trump was the first Republican to lose the state in a presidential election since 1992. He repeatedly attacked Raffensperger and Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, R., after he lost the race there, accusing them of being corrupt. Multiple audits and investigations did not uncover evidence of widespread fraud in the state, and recounts confirmed the result.”

Former President Trump has responded by saying, “While I appreciate the Washington Post’s correction, which immediately makes the Georgia Witch Hunt a non-story, the original story was a Hoax, right from the very beginning.”

And, “You will notice that establishment media errors, omissions, mistakes, and outright lies always slant one way—against me and against Republicans.,” President Trump said. “Meanwhile, stories that hurt Democrats or undermine their narratives are buried, ignored, or delayed until they can do the least harm—for example, after an election is over.”

And lastly, President Trump added, “Look no further than the negative coverage of the vaccine that preceded the election and the overdue celebration of the vaccine once the election had concluded. A strong democracy requires a fair and honest press. This latest media travesty underscores that legacy media outlets should be regarded as political entities (I would say ‘enemies.’), not journalistic enterprises.”

As we have discussed before, the “media” is supposed to act as a watchdog of government for the people.  When they become participants in the spreading of propaganda for any political interests, “We are so screwed,” in the words of Mollie Hemingway.

Why, CNN…, you look like somebody just walked over your grave.

Brian Flood of Fox News reports that, “CNN’s in-house media pundit Brian Stelter was confronted by a C-SPAN caller on Tuesday who told him the liberal network is ‘dividing our nation’ and called CNN the ‘enemy of the truth.’”

Boom!

Bam!

Bingo!

“Stelter joined C-SPAN’s ‘Washington Journal’ to answer questions from viewers when a caller from Minnesota accused CNN of committing over 300,000 ‘distortions of truth’ since President Donald Trump took office.”

Oh, c’mon, 300,000?

Really?

It’s got to be much more than that!

‘“You guys always talk about how many times Trump has lied, I’ve calculated and, I think with your chyrons [electronically generated captions superimposed on a TV screen]…, I don’t know if there are any journalists left at CNN but I know that, if I were to estimate, about 300 different distortions or misinformation that we get out of CNN,’ the caller said. ‘And you have to watch them in the airport, which is harsh, but if you added all that up to 46 months, it comes out to be 300,000-plus distortions of truth.’”

“@TimJGraham tweeted, ‘Oh @brianstelter did not have a pile of fans calling in to C-SPAN today. This man really brought the pain, saying ‘CNN is the enemy of truth.’ Stelter said yeah, Trump has ‘radicalized’ people with this talk of media bias. Laughably claims MSM is structured to keep bias out!’”

“The caller then evoked Nick Sandmann, who famously settled a multimillion-dollar defamation lawsuit with CNN.”

‘“You defamed a child,’” the caller said, adding that CNN is ‘dividing our nation’ with partisan coverage.”

‘“And I don’t believe in dividing our nation, it hurts our great nation, and, so CNN is really the enemy of the truth,’ the caller said. ‘That’s my opinion, thank you.’”

“Stelter, who seemed to be used to such feedback and has been labeled media’s ‘hall monitor’ by critics in the past, said he was grateful for the call.”

Okay…, well that was just another lie!

‘“I know you’re not the only person that feels this way,’ Stelter said.”

Now that may be the biggest understatement of the year!

‘“There has been a process of radicalization that’s happened in this country with media bashing that is absolutely unprecedented.’”

Yes, Brian Stelter, there has definitely been a “process of radicalization in this country,” but it has nothing to do “media bashing.”

And, yes, the media bashing has been “absolutely unprecedented,” and rightfully so!

“Stelter then said that many journalists live in big cities and have ‘liberal leanings,’ but newsrooms should ensure that ‘bias doesn’t seep into the news coverage.’”

Oh, come on, Brian…, what we’re talking about here is MUCH MORE than “liberal leanings” and “bias.” What we’re talking about here is a concerted and coordinated liberal propagandizing effort.

‘“Yet sometimes it [regarding bias seeping into the news] does,’ Stelter said. ‘I absolutely acknowledge that. I think it’s different to talk about things as if they are enemies.’”

‘“No American is an enemy of another American.’”

Lie!

‘“No news outlet is an enemy of America.’”

Another lie!

So, now they’re willing to acknowledge their biases in an effort to buy their unabashed liberal propaganda campaign some time…, in their minds.

The media was intended to be the watchdog of the government on behalf of the American people.

Well, the American people have been sold down the river…, and what are left with is the equivalent of a fox guarding the hen house.

A more appropriate metaphor might be a nest of rats guarding your children.

In any case…, the liberal propaganda, fake news media was deservedly called-out here, and they are as guilty as hell.

In my mind, what these “news” outlets are guilty of is the equivalent of treason against our country.

THE FAKE NEWS!

The mainstream media has been described and labeled many ways.

They’ve been called “Fake news.”

They’ve been described as having a liberal bias.

They’ve been called “liberal propaganda.”

And they’ve been described as the “communication arm of the Democrat National Committee.”

All with good reason.

acover 3

It wasn’t long ago that we were debating the existence of a “liberal bias” of those within the mainstream media.

Well, the debate is over.

The bias exists, and the mainstream media won’t even bother to deny it anymore.

In fact, we are way past “bias” at this point.

We are at a point where the mainstream media has chosen to abandon any sense of objectivity, and have become co-conspirators and operatives of the democrat establishment.

acover 2

Don’t believe me?

Brian Flood of Fox News reports that, “Evening newscasts are 150 times more negative toward Trump than Biden, study says.”

acover 5

‘“That’s not news reporting — that’s a negative advertising campaign in action,’ Rich Noyes [MRC research director] says.”

acover 10

“The evening newscasts on ABC, CBS and NBC have been 150 times more negative when covering President Trump compared to presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, according to a new study.”

And that’s only the major networks!

Can you imagine the negativity if CNN and MSNBC had been included?

acover 11

That number may well have been 250 times, 350 times, 500 times “more negative when covering President Trump compared to 2020 Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden!”

“The Media Research Center [MRC] analyzed all statements made by reporters, anchors and nonpartisan sources, such as experts or voters, made on CBS’ “Evening News,” “NBC Nightly News” and ABC’s “World News Tonight” from June 1 through July 31.”

“The findings showed that Biden has received eight positive evaluative statements with only four negative comments made about the former vice president in a two-month period. But when it comes to Trump, the study showed that coverage has been overwhelmingly negative.”

“CBS’ “Evening News,” “NBC Nightly News” and ABC’s “World News Tonight” made a whopping 634 negative evaluative statements about Trump over the same time period, according to the study. The evening newscasts made 34 positive statements about the president over the same time period.”

acover 13

“MRC research director Rich Noyes, who conducted the study, feels that ‘millions of viewers are witnessing the most biased presidential campaign coverage in modern media history.’”

acover 7

Without a doubt, although 2016 was nothing to sneeze at either!

acover 8

“Noyes noted that ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts focused 512 minutes of airtime on Trump over the two-month sample, which is nine times more than the 58 minutes spent on Biden.”

acover 9

‘“I’ve been studying the news media and elections for more than 35 years. Trust me — there’s never been anything like it,’ Noyes wrote. ‘Do the math, and viewers heard 150 TIMES more negative comments about Trump than Biden. That’s not news reporting — that’s a negative advertising campaign in action.’”

acover 4

acover 12

“{President] Trump regularly blasts the mainstream media for what he feels is unfair coverage and recently accused Biden of avoiding tough questions from reporters.”

‘“If you consider the evening newscasts a reliable gauge of the liberal media at large (cable news, big newspapers, etc.), it means Biden has enjoyed an army of so-called journalists conducting a massive negative information campaign against his opponent, while he is sheltered from any scrutiny,’ Noyes wrote.”

Again…, no doubt.

‘“Controversies from the spring, such as allegations from former staffer Tara Reade that he sexually assaulted her in the 1990s, completely disappeared from his evening news coverage in June and July,’ Noyes added.”

acover 14

acover 18

“As a result, Trump said on Monday that he ‘has no choice’ but to campaign during the Democratic National Convention because Biden gets preferential treatment from the media.”

acover 16

‘“We have a guy that doesn’t come out of his basement and the media covers [for him],’ Trump said on during a phone interview on ‘Fox & Friends.’”

acover 6

‘“When they ask me questions, I have these people, there is fire out of their eyes … they’re asking me questions and I see the fire is burning in their eyes,’ Trump said. ‘I look at some of them and say, boy, how can you have so much hatred?’”

“Trump then said Biden doesn’t have to deal with the same type of hostility from the press. In fact, the Democratic nominee doesn’t have to deal with the press at all.”

‘“He doesn’t take any questions from reporters,’ Trump said. ‘Here I am getting bombs thrown at me every day by people that are totally, you know, frankly dishonest reporters, they’re espousing the view of the radical left, but here I am, bombs every day … but this guy doesn’t come out of his basement.’”

acover 19

With all due respect, Mr. President, and I am saying “with all due respect,” Sleepy Joe did do a hard-hitting interview with rapper Cardi B (her real name being Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar) the other day!

I mean, let’s give credit where credit is due!

The New York Times is liberal?

Yessiree, Bob!

The New York Times is as liberal as the day is long…, and then some.

But it’s not just that.

The real offense of The New York Times is that they’re intentionally deceitful, intentionally disingenuous, and intentionally propagandistic.

Those are their real “crimes.”

abari 4

Being just a “good old liberal” these days is now a position not to be tolerated by the radical left.

If you’re not a self-proclaimed, full-fledged. socialist/communist/fascist, you better stand back and stand down.

Oliver Darcy of CNN Business writes, “Controversial opinion writer Bari Weiss resigns from The New York Times, blasting paper for ‘illiberal environment.’”

abari 3

First of all, wouldn’t a “controversial” opinion writer be a good thing?

That is, unless they’re only tolerated as long as their opinion matches the opinion dictated by the New York Times.

“New York (CNN) Bari Weiss, a controversial opinion writer for The New York Times, resigned from the newspaper on Monday, blasting the institution on her way out in a scathing letter explaining why she chose to leave her job.”

abari 1

“In the resignation letter Weiss posted online Tuesday, the self-described ‘politically homeless’ writer criticized The Times for fostering what she called an ‘illiberal environment’ that she said was ‘especially heartbreaking.’”

FL: Bari Weiss in Conversation with Alana Newhouse during the Mi

‘“Twitter is not on the masthead of The New York Times,’ Weiss wrote. ‘But Twitter has become its ultimate editor.’”

The whole process was good for Bari, however, until the process swept over her, and swept by her, and is now proceeding to bite her in her own backside.

“Stories are chosen and told in a way to satisfy the narrowest of audiences, rather than to allow a curious public to read about the world and then draw their own conclusions,’ Weiss added.”

Bite your tongue, you heretical sea hag!

The last thing the radical left needs is people drawing their own conclusions!

“News of Weiss’ departure was first reported by ‘Vice’ and confirmed by The Times.  Kathleen Kingsbury, The Times’ acting editorial page editor, thanked Weiss in a statement for her ‘many contributions.’”

Her biggest and best contribution being her latest decision to get out of the way of their Marxist propaganda mission.

‘“I’m personally committed to ensuring that The Times continues to publish voices, experiences and viewpoints from across the political spectrum in the Opinion report,’ Kingsbury said.”

abari 6

Liar, liar, pants on fire!

abari 7

“Weiss generated controversy for her criticism of aspects of progressive culture, particularly with regards to free speech.”

We mustn’t have any of that!  Free speech, that is!

“Last week, she was one of the dozens of writers who signed an open letter published in Harper’s Magazine that spoke out against so-called cancel culture.”

How dare she!

“Weiss faced criticism in June when the newspaper faced backlash over the publication of Republican Sen. Tom Cotton’s op-ed, which argued for sending in military troops to U.S. cities to quash unrest that had broken out in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd.  In a series of tweets, Weiss tweeted that there was a ‘civil war’ that has been ‘raging’ inside The Times between the ‘wokes’ and older ‘liberals.’ The tweets drew public backlash from some of Weiss’ own colleagues.”

“Weiss said in her resignation letter that she was subject to ‘constant bullying’ by her colleagues at The Times who disagreed with her views. She wrote that colleagues have called her a Nazi and racist and that she was ‘demeaned on company-wide Slack channels.’”

abari 11

“Slack” software is a collaboration hub that can replace email to help you and your team work together seamlessly. It’s designed to support the way people naturally work together, so you can collaborate with people online as efficiently as you do face-to-face.  A “Slack” workspace is made up of channels, where team members can communicate and work together.

‘“There, some coworkers insisted I need to be rooted out if this company is to be a truly “inclusive” one, while others post ax emojis next to my name,’ Weiss wrote. ‘Still other New York Times employees publicly smear me as a liar and a bigot on Twitter with no fear that harassing me will be met with appropriate action.  They never are.’”

abari 10

Is it just me?

Doesn’t anyone else see the fascist nature of these people?

It can’t be just me, right?

You do see it too, don’t you?

“Eileen Murphy, a spokesperson for The Times, did not respond to the specifics of Weiss’ resignation letter.”

Of course not.

“But Murphy said, ‘We’re committed to fostering an environment of honest, searching and empathetic dialogue between colleagues, one where mutual respect is required of all.’”

Nice statement, Eileen.  Too bad it isn’t true.

abari 8

abari 5

Brian Flood of Fox News adds, ‘“What this journalist has done is not just to indict, but convict The New York Times of outright censorship,’ Media Research Center founder Brent Bozell told Fox News. ‘If it doesn’t send shockwaves through the world of journalism, it’s because the world of journalism no longer has ethics.”’

BINGO!

“Weiss published the resignation letter she sent to Times publisher A.G. Sulzberger on her personal website, saying, ‘Showing up for work as a centrist at an American newspaper should not require bravery.’”

And you not even a true centrist, Ms. Weiss. You may be a centrist, in a liberal sense, but not a true centrist.

A true “centrist,” these days, is defined as a person who isn’t smart enough to stand up for America, or just too lazy to help destroy her.

“DePauw University professor and media critic Jeffrey McCall told Fox News that Weiss’ letter ‘provides yet another window to the mindset of journalistic ideology and advocacy’ at The Times.”

“While some were shocked by Weiss’ scathing letter, Cornell Law School professor and media critic William A. Jacobson feels anyone paying attention to ‘the Gray Lady’ [The New York Times] should have known the paper has a lefty agenda.”

“The Gray Lady” has a pimp these days…, and she’s a hot mess.

‘“Liberalism at the NY Times is illiberal and intolerant.  Water also is wet. Bari Weiss confirms what conservatives already knew, but liberals like Weiss previously refused to see,’ Jacobson told Fox News. ‘The vicious social justice warfare culture has moved from campus to newsrooms, and there is no place for old-fashioned liberals like Weiss.’”

Hmmm.  Sucks to be an “old fashioned liberal” these days, I guess.

Just to put The Times’ liberalism into perspective, The New York Times has not endorsed a republican for president since 1956!

That’s not once in the last 64 years!

That’s not once in the last 16 presidential elections!

That last endorsement in 1956 was for the incumbent, then President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

That includes endorsing Walter Mondale over President Ronald Reagan in 1984.  An election that Ronald Reagan won with 58.8% of the popular vote, while winning 49 of the 50 states, the only holdout being Mondale’s home state of Minnesota, and the District of Columbia, of course.

More propaganda by omission!

Liberal propaganda, that is.

There were special elections Tuesday, May 12, for two open Congressional seats.  One in California and one in Wisconsin.

But, there was no mention of the results of these races on CNN or their website.

acnnelect 11

In their defense, it was a busy news day.

There were many stories that were much more important, like:

“A teenager accidentally hit and killed her father while learning to park truck.”

“Elle Fanning dressed up as Brad Pitt and nailed it.”

“Sharon Osbourne weighs in on body image debate after Adele’s viral Instagram post.”

“Tina Fey’s daughter crashes interview, calls mom a loser.”

“American artist Rashid Johnson: ‘Anxiety is part of my life.’”

I mean, you can only cover so much news, right?

But why on earth would CNN not even mention who won these elections?

Hmmm.  What’s going on here?

I mean, there are only 435 of these representatives, and they’re responsible for spending all of our money and making all of the federal laws.

You would think that any responsible news organization would at least mention the results.

Ahhh…, well there we have it!

CNN isn’t a responsible news organization…, it’s a part of the propaganda wing for the democrat party!

acnnelect 12

In fact, most of the mainstream, fake news media failed to offer ANY coverage of this as well.

acnnelect 8

When seen from the proper perspective…, CNN, and all of their fake news friends, not mentioning the special elections makes perfect sense.

You see, in the case of this special election, the two congressional seats were won by republicans, and Trump supporters to boot!

This does not fit the liberals’ narrative!

How could this be?

How could this be, when we are told that the whole country wants President Trump impeached?!

How could this be in the swing state of Wisconsin and the democrat stronghold of California?

acnnelect 7

And these republicans both won by substantial margins.  These were not wins that were eked out.

According to Joseph A. Wulfsohn of Fox News, “The GOP clinched major victories in two special elections held on Tuesday but was largely ignored by the mainstream media.”

Thank you, Mr. Wulfsohn, and thank God for Fox News.

If it wasn’t for Fox News, we would have no choice but to consume the democrat, mainstream media, fake news tripe.

“Mike Garcia managed to flip California’s 25th District, becoming the first Republican to do that in the state since 1998.”

This isn’t news?

This doesn’t deserve ANY type of mention?

“Garcia, a former Navy combat pilot, was declared the winner on Wednesday after his Democratic challenger, state assemblywoman Christy Smith, conceded the race. The congressional seat was previously held by Rep. Katie Hill, who resigned last year.”

acnnelect 1

“Wisconsin state senator Tom Tiffany was able to maintain the GOP’s control over the state’s conservative-leaning 7th district left vacant by Rep. Sean Duffy.”

Tiffany was not only “able to maintain” control of Wisconsin’s 7th district seat, he crushed his democrat opponent.  So much so that her name isn’t even mentioned, so as not to completely ruin her political future I suppose.

I have none of those concerns.  Her name is Tricia Zunker.

acnnelect 9

According to Wisconsin Public Radio, “Because of Wisconsin’s status as a swing state in the 2020 presidential election, the May special election is expected to be closely watched for signs of strength or weakness in Trump’s re-election campaign. Trump needs large margins of victory in Wisconsin’s rural areas to win the state, and the race is seen by many as a test of Democrats’ ability to reach rural voters.”

Ha!  So, I guess they failed the test.

“Past special elections in recent memory generated plenty of news coverage, particularly when Democrats pick up congressional seats as pundits often hype that such victories are a ‘bellwether’ for what’s to come in the upcoming elections.”

“However, there was little to zero mention of Garcia and Tiffany’s victories on any of the major news networks.”

“None of the three broadcast networks, ABC, CBS, and NBC, aired any coverage of the special election races during Wednesday’s morning programs. The networks skipped such coverage in the evening news shows as well.”

“CNN completely ignored both races throughout the day. Meanwhile, MSNBC once mentioned Garcia’s likely win on Wednesday morning but ignored Tiffany’s victory.”

Like I have been saying…, the fake news, mainstream media is really just an arm of the democrat party.

We’ve gone past the concern over biased media coverage to calling out these news outlets for what they are…, contrived and constructed liberal propaganda.

How else can you explain their behavior?

And if you’re a democrat…, is that OK?

If that is OK with you…, then you’ve gone from being a victim of the left’s deceit to being a part of the problem.

You’ve graduated from fool to tool.

acnnelect 6

Anyone who is objective and fair-minded cannot be a democrat.

CNN keeps “doubling down” on their liberal agenda.

Yes folks, CNN does not even pretend to be fair and balanced, unbiased, news anymore.

CNN is squarely and unapologetically in the corner of the liberals and the democrats…, and it’s been that way for years now.

Truth is not their concern…, only the promotion of the liberal narrative…, whatever that may currently be.

CNN and the fake news media was most recently called out when radio talk show host and the host of the TV show “Life, Liberty and Levin, Mark Levin, targeted CNN’s fake news poster child, Jim Acosta.

Joshua Nelson of Fox News reported that, “Mark Levin blasts CNN’s Jim Acosta: ‘He should wear a mask and a dunce cap.’”

acosta 5

Ha! Yeah! Now that would be worth watching!

“Fox News host Mark Levin was one of the many who blasted CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta for interrupting Dr. Deborah Birx during a White House press briefing on the coronavirus last week.”

acosta 21

‘“Jim Acosta’s not a news reporter. He’s a self-aggrandizing narcissist. Exactly what America doesn’t need during the pandemic.  He should wear a mask and a dunce cap.” Mark R. Levin @marklevinshow.’ Mark Levin tweeted.”

acosta 7

And Acosta isn’t alone.  He’s just the current face of the most recent batch of fake news, liberal propagandists, masquerading as journalists.

Acosta, being CNN’s “chief White House correspondent,” means he can lie and misrepresent anything with a straight face…, kind of like Bill Clinton!

“Levin also “linked” to a Washington Free Beacon opinion piece which blasted Acosta for his conduct at White House press briefings, accusing him of using the events to make a name for himself.”

acosta 1

Continuing with the coronavirus White House press conference, “[Dr.] Birx addressed the apparent errors the World Health Organization (WHO) made leading up to the outbreak in the U.S. as something that should be examined.”

‘“I will remind you that on February 3rd [only about a month ago], the head of the WHO said there was no reason to ever do a travel ban,’ Dr. Birx said. ‘It wasn’t until January 14th that we knew that there was human-to-human transmission,’ she continued.”

The Daily Caller tweeted, ‘“Jim Acosta interrupts Dr. Birx as she criticizes the WHO’s response to coronavirus. @DailyCaller,’” while posting a video of the exchange.

acosta 8

“Acosta quickly derailed her observations about WHO to knock President Trump.”

‘“Dr. Birx, the president was saying this was going to go away,’ Acosta said. ‘It’s April.’”

“Many took to social media to blast the reporter.”

‘“Jim Acosta’s interruption of Dr. Birx is an example of how CNN’s echo-journalism model is destroying the media’s credibility. Every question from Acosta is an effort to score points rather than elicit information. It is a press pandemic that continues to rage without relief.  @JonathanTurley’”

“CNN did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.”

Oh really?

Does that surprise anybody?

CNN feels it isn’t accountable to anybody…, and certainly not Fox News.  George Soros, maybe…, but not Fox News nor any of us “deplorables.”

Surprise, surprise, surprise!

amostprep 12

Well, ga-a-a-aaoooolly.

amostprep 13

Well, who’d a thunk it?!

amostprep 6

amostprep 11

After all of the gnashing of teeth…,

After all of the wringing of hands…,

And after all of the whining…,

It seems that The United States was the most prepared to deal with our current pandemic, although you would think our government was and is failing miserably on every level, according to the dumocrats and the liberal propaganda, fake news, media.

amostprep 10

Gregg Re of Fox News reports, “US was more prepared for pandemic than any other country, a Johns Hopkins study found.”

amostprep 2

Johns Hopkins University is a private research university in Baltimore, Maryland. Founded in 1876.  The university has led the way to revolutionize higher education in the U.S. by integrating teaching and research. Over the course of several decades, the university has led all U.S. universities in annual research and development expenditures. Johns Hopkins is organized into 10 divisions on campuses in Maryland and Washington, D.C., with international centers in Italy and China.

“The United States was ranked the best-prepared country in the world to handle a pandemic in late 2019 by the Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) and the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security (JHCHS) — an assessment seemingly at odds with claims by Democrats that the Trump administration left the country vulnerable to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.”

amostprep 1

“The Global Health Security Index was ‘developed with guidance from an international panel of experts from 13 countries, with research by the Economist Intelligence Unit,’ The Washington Post reported last year. ‘More than 100 researchers spent a year collecting and validating publicly available data.’”

Ok…, let’s deal with the facts, dumocrats!

Let’s listen to the researchers and scientists here, as you are so fond of saying.

Ahhh, the scientists…, the liberal equals of “high priests!”

Let’s listen to the “experts,” they cry!

This is just another example, the latest example, of your false narrative being totally discredited.

We’ve heard you declaring that President Trump had slashed the CDC budget.

We’ve heard you say that important support personnel in the CDC had been “trimmed away” by President Trump.

We’ve heard you say The President has silenced or muffled those on his coronavirus team or in his administration who disagree with him.

False, false, false and FALSE!!!

A thousand times FALSE!

It doesn’t seem to stop the fake news, however.

They just shake their latest disproven lie off and spout off another one the next day.

The dumocrats and the liberal propaganda, fake news media have absolutely no shame.

“President Trump’s campaign has argued in recent days that misinformation may be one of the leading causes of that lack of confidence.”

Actually, I believe the whole perception of a “lack of confidence” in the first place, is a misinformation campaign by the fake news.

Additionally, “Trump’s team has pointed to claims by presidential contender Joe Biden that ‘no one on the National Security Council staff was put in charge’ of pandemic preparedness, based on a report that in May 2018, then-National Security Adviser John Bolton eliminated the NSC’s Office of Global Health Security and Biodefense in a reorganization effort.”

“Rear Adm. R. Timothy Ziemer reportedly was ousted as senior director, and no replacement was named. But, FactCheck.org has determined that the matter amounted to a reorganization, and that ‘some team members [of the NSC pandemic office] were shifted to other groups, and others took over some of [the top official’s] duties.’”

“Separately, the Biden team has repeatedly argued that the president once referred to coronavirus as a ‘hoax.’ That claim has been refuted by numerous fact-checkers, including the Post’s, which found that Trump was clearly referring to Democrats’ efforts to blame him for the pandemic, not the virus itself.”

“Additionally, numerous Democrats, including Biden, have falsely claimed that the president cut the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) budget. The Associated Press has noted that those claims ‘distort’ the facts.”

“Instead, financing has [actually] increased.”

amostprep 9

“Some public health experts say a bigger concern than White House budgets is the steady erosion of a CDC grant program for state and local public health emergency preparedness — the front lines in detecting and battling new disease. But that decline was set in motion by a congressional budget measure that predates Trump.”

“Nevertheless, misleading reports about the Trump campaign’s pandemic response efforts have continued to spread.”

Like I said, the dumocrats and the liberal propaganda, fake news media just shake their latest disproven lie off and spout off another one the next day.

It’s actually hard to keep up with all of their lies and misinformation.

That’s all a part of their strategy I imagine.

“A recent report by Reuters that the U.S. had recently terminated a CDC position in China was widely cited by Democrats and reporters as evidence of a lack of preparedness, and formed the basis for a reporter’s question at a recent White House coronavirus briefing.”

amostprep 3

“But, the article itself made clear that experts didn’t think the move had anything to do with the spread of coronavirus in the United States.”

And yet, the “reporter” just parrots the question, like the pathetic liberal “tool” she is.

So sad and so disingenuous.

amostprep 14

I’m not sure how President Trump is able to put up with their crap on a daily basis, to tell you the truth.

President Trump is an amazing man, and I thank God every day that he is willing and able to battle all of these anti-America forces in our own country and around the world.

Hey democrats and fake news media! Be careful what you wish for…, you just might get it!

Yes, democrats, and the fake news media…, “Be careful what you wish for…, because you just might get it!

As they continue searching for anything to criticize The President about, the democrats and the fake news, liberal propaganda, media has latched onto The Defense Production Act…, demanding President Trump invoke this law and use it towards alleviating the shortages for medical equipment that we’re facing.

adefact 12

adefact 11

In fact, in his first “coronavirus update,” Sleepy, Creepy Joe Biden hung his hat on this recommendation and usage of the law as well.

adefact 5

adefact 3

So…, what exactly is the Defense Production Act?

According to Eric Tucker, for The Associated Press, “The Defense Production Act of 1950 was signed by President Harry S. Truman amid concerns about supplies and equipment during that war. It’s been invoked multiple times since then to help the federal government for a range of emergencies including war, hurricanes and terrorism prevention.”

“The act gives the federal government broad authority to direct private companies to meet the needs of the national defense.  Over the decades, the law’s powers have been understood to encompass not only times of war but also domestic emergency preparedness and recovery from terrorist attacks and natural disasters.”

“The act authorizes the president to require companies to prioritize government contracts and orders seen as necessary for the national defense, with the goal of ensuring that the private sector is producing enough goods needed to meet a war effort or other national emergency.”

According to Peter Sullivan, of The Hill, “President Trump on Sunday rejected calls from governors, hospitals and others to direct companies to ramp up production of critical supplies for the coronavirus fight through the use of the Defense Production Act.”

adefact 2

“[President] Trump argued that he has used the Defense Production Act (DPA) as leverage in negotiations with companies to get them to produce supplies and equipment for the coronavirus fight.”

‘“We’re a country not based on nationalizing our business. Call a person over in Venezuela,’ Trump told reporters. ‘How did nationalization of their businesses work out? Not too well.’”

“[President] Trump has been under increasing pressure to use his powers under the DPA to direct private companies to increase production of supplies such as masks and other protective gear for health care workers as well as ventilators, which allow seriously ill people to breathe.”

“New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) warned that prices for crucial masks had spiked from $0.85 to $7 apiece and urged the federal government to step in.  ‘The Federal Government should immediately use the Defense Production Act to order companies to make gowns, masks and gloves,’ Cuomo tweeted Sunday.”

Well, Mr. President, perhaps you should reconsider your stance, and start putting Defense Production Act to good use!

For instance:

MrEricksonRules would immediately order The Washington Post and The New York Times to suspend the printing of their papers switch over to producing toilet paper to meet the national shortages there.

adefact 7

They could still print their articles on the TP if they want to.  In fact, more people would probably read their articles as well under this scenario!

It’s a win-win!

Next, I would order CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS and NPR to use their employees to support the temporary hospitals in New York, by helping with cleaning the bathrooms, taking out the garbage, and generally keeping the facilities clean!

There…, now wouldn’t that be fun!

This would also be a win-win scenario…, as they would be helping out the cause by supporting coronavirus treatment facilities, and at the same time they would not have the time to continue to ramp-up the hysteria about the coronavirus and continue their unceasing attacks on President Trump.

Like I said…, it’s a win-win!

So, yes, democrats, and the fake news media…, “Be careful what you wish for…, because you just might get it!

GOP slammed by Nobel-Winning Economist, Paul Krugman.

How this guy has any credibility left, or a job for that matter, is beyond me.

adeficit 7

I used to think “Nobel-Winning” actually meant something until Barack Obama and this guy won one.

adeficit 5

“This guy” being “Economist” Paul Krugman…, and I use the term “economist” VERY loosely.

Krugman hasn’t been remotely close to being right about anything he’s said regarding the economy in like forever.

adeficit 3

That’s probably because he’s more interested in spreading desired liberal propaganda economic narratives rather than actually analyzing our real economy.

Lee Moran, of the ever disgusting HuffPost, reports that, “Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman blasted the GOP [The Grand Old Party, or Republicans] for ‘the most cynical policy reversal of modern times,’ and warned their bold duplicity may help President Donald Trump secure a second term in office.”

Oh…, I can’t wait…, this should be interesting!

adeficit 6

“Fake Newsers” are always more than happy to regurgitate other fake news propaganda…, no matter how hypocritical or idiotic it is.

“In his latest column for The New York Times [Guaranteeing the fakeness of it!], Krugman called out the ‘broader pattern of breathtaking fiscal hypocrisy, in which the G.O.P. went from insisting that federal debt posed an existential threat under Obama to complete indifference to budget deficits under Trump.’”

‘“This 180-degree turn is, as far as I can tell, the most cynical policy reversal of modern times,’ he argued.”

How dare anyone in politics change their mind, right Paul?!

“Krugman predicted ‘this cynicism may win Trump the election’ because ‘what’s driving the U.S. economy now is the very deficit spending Republicans pretended to be horrified by during the Obama years.’”

Ok…, wait…, this is too good!

What Mr. Krugman is saying is President Trump may win re-election because he and the republicans have changed their position on the federal deficit, and they have now chosen to ignore it like the democrats have been doing!

That’s beautiful.

adeficit 2

It’s not fair!  You can’t be irresponsible about the federal deficit…, that’s our job!

In all fairness to President Trump, he didn’t run particularly on reducing the federal deficit, and he never pretended to be overly concerned about it.

And those fiscally conservative republicans are still out there…, they’re just not putting up much of a fight right now.

Being responsible with the nation’s money is just not a winning argument these days.

So, like they say…, “when in Rome, do as the Romans do,” and “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.”

Being responsible sucks!

Chaaaaarge it!
