Taxing the “Rich” 101.

Here is my first public service installment from MrEricksonRules’ University, highlighting my course, “Taxing the Rich 101.”

“Taxing the Rich 101” rule number one: While “taxing the rich” may sound good, the truth is that big corporations and “the rich” never really get hurt by increased taxes.

“Taxing the Rich 101” rule number two: The truth is that big corporations and “the rich” just shuffle their money and assets around, and get around tax increases by using other “legal” means to protect their wealth, while passing on the pain of the tax increases down to the 99% of us who are just trying to make a living.

“Taxing the Rich 101” rule number three: “Taxing the rich” really means taxing everyone but “the rich.”

Case in point: Big corporations and “the rich” didn’t even get hurt by the pandemic.  In fact, they had record earnings and increased their wealth dramatically during the pandemic and the oppressive lockdowns, while the unemployment rate skyrocketed, and most small business suffered immensely and many thousands of them went out of business.

Did everyone get that?

I hope so, because that’s the extent of the course.

The final exam is a pretty easy one.

You may say, “But MrErickson, we already realize this.”

Undoubtedly, this isn’t telling some of my readers anything new, but this is written for those of us out there who still believe that “taxing the rich” may sound good.

Now that we all understand what “taxing the rich” really means, let’s take a look at “President” Biden’s and the democrats’ proposed tax hike.

Biden reportedly planning first major tax hike since 1993 in next economic package

Spending bill could include hikes in the tax rate paid by corporations, wealthy Americans

According to Megan Henney of FOXBusiness, “President Biden is reportedly planning to include the first major tax hike in close to 30 years in the next economic spending bill set to follow his $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package.”

“The next spending initiative — which is expected to be even bigger, costing as much as $4 trillion — won’t rely on just government debt as a funding source and could include an increase in both the corporate tax rate and the individual rate for high-income earners, according to Bloomberg News, citing a person familiar with the matter.”

“The planned changes include: raising the corporate tax rate to 28% from 21%, raising the income tax rate on individuals earning more than $400,000, expanding the estate tax, creating a higher capital-gains tax rate for individuals earning at least $1 million annually and paring back tax preferences for so-called pass-through businesses.”

“Pass-through businesses” include sole proprietorships, partnerships, limited liability companies, and S-corporations.”

Pass-through businesses represent around 95% of the businesses in our country, meaning small businesses…, as if they haven’t been hammered during the pandemic enough.

“The White House did not immediately respond to a FOX Business request for comment.”

No surprise there.

“The proposed tax increases will mostly mirror Biden’s proposals during the 2020 presidential campaign, when he vowed to reverse former President Donald Trump’s 2017 tax cuts on ‘day one’ of his presidency. That includes raising the rate paid by corporations and wealthy Americans and making the tax code more progressive.”

Remember, “more progressive” really means more oppressive.

“Any tax increases included in the legislation would likely take effect beginning in 2022, Bloomberg reported, with some lawmakers wary of raising rates until the economy more fully recovers from the coronavirus pandemic.”

“An analysis of Biden’s tax plan conducted by the Tax Policy Center estimated it would raise $2.1 trillion in new revenue over a decade.”

So, that means this tax increase would pay for the “COVID Relief Bill” by 2032.

Nice.

“It’s unclear what other measures would be included in the proposal, but on the campaign trail, Biden emphasized the need for new infrastructure investments and measures to combat climate change, as well as ways to revitalize the manufacturing industry and revamp housing, education and health care.”

“Raising taxes will serve as a key test for the nascent [new] administration as it navigates a 50-50 Senate in which moderate Democratic lawmakers like Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Krysten Sinema of Arizona play an outsized role.”

If they’re really moderate democrat lawmakers, why do the vote with the rest of the democrats EVERY time?

The truth is, Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema just talk like moderate democrat lawmakers, but they really aren’t.

“The infrastructure proposal is sure to ignite a firestorm of criticism from Republicans, and possibly some moderate Democrats, who are worried about the exorbitant level of government spending.”

Ha!

Democrats who are “worried about the exorbitant level of government spending?!!!”

I’m sorry to tell you, Ms. Henney, but those democrats don’t exist.

Totalitarianism in America…, today!

Are you totally sure?

Totally.

It could be characterized as a form of neo-leftist fascism, as well.

According to dictionary.com, totalitarianism means, “A system of government that is centralized and dictatorial and requires complete subservience to the state.”

Starting to sound familiar?

Yael Halon of Fox News reports that, “Ex-Clinton adviser [and ex-Al Gore advisor] [and renowned liberal author], Naomi Wolf, warns US becoming ‘totalitarian state before our eyes under Biden.’”

We really have to give Dr. Naomi Wolf some credit here.

Her books and her concerns about this issue were really born at the end of the George W. Bush’s second term in office, back in 2006. Her warnings and concerns then intensified during the Trump years, as she loyally parroted the false, democrat, anti-conservative, and anti-Trump propaganda.

Again, to her credit, she could not intellectually accept the democrat narrative any longer as she witnessed what was occurring, leading up to the 2020 election, and what has taken place since.

Dr. Wolf has now correctly come to realize IT IS THE DEMOCRATS WHO ARE ATTEMPTING TO ESTABLISH A TOTALITARIAN STATE…, not President Trump, and not the conservatives.

“The author tells ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ that Americans must wake up before it is ‘too dangerous to fight back.’”

“Naomi Wolf sounds alarm at the growing power of ‘autocratic tyrants.’ America is becoming a ‘totalitarian state before our eyes’ under President Biden’s leadership, feminist author and former Democratic adviser Naomi Wolf told ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight.’”

“Wolf, who served as an adviser on Bill Clinton’s reelection campaign in 1996, told host Tucker Carlson that in her view, the United States is swiftly ‘moving into a coup situation, a police state’ as a result of Biden’s ongoing coronavirus-related economic shutdowns. Wolf added that she believes the orders are being improperly extended under the ‘guise of a real medical pandemic.’”

‘“That is not a partisan thing,’ Wolf told Carlson. ‘That transcends everything that you and I might disagree or agree on. That should bring together left and right to protect our Constitution.’”

“Wolf has ramped up her warnings against extended lockdowns on Twitter in recent months. In November, the author wrote on Twitter that Biden’s openness to reinstating additional shutdowns made her question her decision to vote for him.”

I’m sure we’ll be hearing shortly that her Twitter account has been suspended, or cancelled altogether.

‘“The state has now crushed businesses, kept us from gathering in free assembly to worship as the First Amendment provides, is invading our bodies … which is a violation of the Fourth Amendment, restricting movement, fining us in New York state … the violations go on and on,’ she said.”

“The outspoken liberal, who previously authored a book outlining the ten steps that ‘would-be tyrants always take when they want to close down a democracy,’ believes the United States is heading toward what she refers to as ‘step 10.’”

‘“Whether they are on the left or the right, they [totalitarians] do these same ten things,’ Wolf explained, ‘and now we’re at something I never thought I would see in my lifetime … it is step 10 and that is the suspension of the rule of law and that is when you start to be a police state, and we’re here. There is no way around it.’”

“Wolf said she has interviewed U.S. citizens of various backgrounds and political affiliations who are in a state of ‘shock and horror’ as ‘autocratic tyrants at the state and now the national level are creating this kind of merger of corporate power and government power, which is really characteristic of the totalitarian fascism in the ‘20’s,’ she told Carlson.”

‘“They are using that to engage in emergency orders that simply strip us of our rights; rights to property, rights to assembly, rights to worship, all the rights the Constitution guarantees.’”

Dr. wolf also noted during the interview, that nowhere in the Constitution does it say that the rights provided there could be suspended for any reason.

“Wolf called the United States’ overall response to the coronavirus pandemic ‘completely unprecedented,’ arguing that ‘lockdowns have never been done in society and really, we are turning into a of totalitarian state right before everyone’s eyes.’”

‘“I really hope we wake up quickly,’ she said, ‘because history also shows that it’s a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.’”

Wow…, those are strong words, coming from someone who has been a self-proclaimed liberal for the majority of her life.

And I’m sure she still thinks of herself as a liberal, although not a “liberal” with totalitarian ambitions.

In her book “The End of America: Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot,” published in 2007, Wolf takes a historical look at the rise of fascism, outlining 10 steps necessary for a fascist group (or government) to destroy the democratic character of a nation-state. The book details how this pattern was implemented in Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and elsewhere, and analyzes its emergence and application of all the 10 steps in American political affairs since the September 11 attacks. Alex Beam wrote in The New York Times: “In the book, Wolf insists that she is not equating [George W.] Bush with Hitler, nor the United States with Nazi Germany, then proceeds to do just that.”

Give Me Liberty: A Handbook for American Revolutionaries,” published in 2008, was written as a sequel to “The End of America: Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot.” In the book, Wolf looks at times and places in history where citizens were faced with the closing of an open society and successfully fought back.

Leaders frequently attributed to ruling totalitarian regimes, from left to right and top to bottom in picture, include Joseph Stalin, former General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union; Adolf Hitler, former Führer of Germany; Mao Zedong, former Chairman of the Communist Party of China; Benito Mussolini, former Duce of Italy; and Kim Il-sung, the Eternal President of North Korea.

The NEW totalitarians:

It is my opinion that Joe Biden is just a puppet in this whole grand scheme, and that he is just happy to be in the White House, to read what they put on the teleprompter for him, and to sign what they tell him to.

Kamala Harris, also, really doesn’t factor into much of this either.  She was a human prop who was used to garner minority and female votes, and that’s about it.

The real “New totalitarians” are those shown after those two.

I have heard it said that George Soros could be one of the people who really dictates what they want done. This is the real difference betwen this “new totalitarianism” and totalitarian regimes of the past. In the past, these regimes were all led by tyranical “front men.” Now, the people calling the shots are ghosts behind the scenes, but just as dangerous.

The other cast of characters: AOC, “the squad,” Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, et al, along with mainstream media, and the “useful idiots” of the “deep state,” are really into socialism and not so much the totalitarian aspect of what is happening around them, although they all seem to be willing, if not unknowing, participants at this point.

Again, like the good doctor said, “I really hope we wake up quickly, because history also shows that it’s a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.”

My, how things have changed.

In the beginning, the states pretty much ruled themselves.  They were like their own separate, little, “countries.”

But they were connected to each other, physically, economically, and ideologically.

They recognized the value of banding together for protection internationally and the value of being able to deal with other countries as a single, united, entity.

So, the states created The Constitution to spell out how this collection of states would function under a single federal government umbrella.

They had no idea how immense and all-encompassing and all-controlling that federal “umbrella” would become.

Lenore T. Adkins, for the “ShareAmerica” website, writes, ‘“We do need a State Department. We do need a Department of Defense,’ says Karla Jones, director of international relations and federalism at the American Legislative Exchange Council, referring to the federal entities responsible for implementing the country’s foreign and defense policies.”

“The U.S. relies on a system called ‘federalism:’ Powers not granted to the federal government are reserved for the states and the people. It’s an important concept to understand because citizens encounter different levels of government daily, but in several ways.”

It’s also important to recognize that the federal government seems to be expanding its “powers,” and encroaching on states’ rights more and more all the time.

So, what does the federal government do?

Better said, what does the federal government do that we and the states have allowed it to do?

“Only the federal government can regulate interstate and foreign commerce, declare war and set taxing, spending and other national policies.”

But the federal government has accumulated power exponentially over the years.  Power that it was never intended to have.

Let’s take a look at our federal government and how grotesquely “obese” it has become.

Here is a list of the major departments that the federal government is broken into, along with their number of employees, their annual budgets, how many subsidiaries they have and some of the highlights of what they do:

Department of Transportation

Employees: 58,622

Budget: $75.1 billion

Includes 11 different offices and administrations, including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Federal Highway Administration, the Federal Railroad Administration, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Department of Energy

Employees: 12,944

Budget: $27.9 billion

Includes 12 different offices, administrations and programs, including the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the National Nuclear Security Administration, the Cybersecurity, Energy Security and Emergency Response program, and the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Program.

Department of Education

Employees: 3,912

Budget: $68 billion

Includes 19 different offices, boards and councils, including the President’s Advisory Board on Historically Black Colleges and Universities, the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, the National Assessment Governing Board, the Office of Federal Student Aid, and the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Department of Veterans Affairs

Employees: 383,040

Budget: $180 billion

Includes 5 different administrations and offices, including the Veterans Health Administration, the Veterans Benefits Administration, the National Cemetery Administration, and the Veteran Employment Services Office.

Department of Homeland Security

Employees: 229,000

Budget: $51.672 billion

Includes 15 different agencies and offices, including the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the U.S. Coast Guard, and the U.S. Secret Service.

Then we spend over $8 billion dollars to fund and operate Congress and the Senate per year.  This is for 535 members of Congress and staff members of over 13,000.

We also spend over $7 billion to fund the federal Judiciary per year.  The federal judiciary has over 30,000 employees.

Lastly, we have expenses for The White House, The White House staff (377) and for The President and The Vice-President, which run around $100 million annually.

That’s a total of:

372 different agencies, offices, bureaus, programs and administrations…,

Representing 4,185,091 (that’s over 4 million) total employees and elected officials…,

At a total cost of $2.867 trillion (that $8,600 annually for every man, woman and child).  Now think about how many people don’t pay federal income tax.  That $8,600 goes up pretty quick for the rest of us.

Wow.  Those are some staggering numbers!

And that’s just to support our federal government’s operations.

We’re not even talking about how much we pay to fund our state and local governments as well!

Remember, these are only the federal government’s costs of doing business.

This does not include the taxes collected and then redistributed back to the American people [and people here illegally] monetarily, or in some other form of value, like infrastructure, housing, etc.

Please note:  In American public finance, discretionary spending is government spending implemented through an appropriations bill. This spending is an optional part of fiscal policy, in contrast to entitlement programs (non-discretionary) for which funding is mandatory and determined by the number of eligible recipients.

Please be aware that there were only three original departments created back in 1789, the State Department, the Treasury Department, and the War Department, which evolved into the Department of Defense.

All of the other departments were created at much later dates.

The Department of the Interior was created in 1849, followed by the Department of Agriculture in 1862.

Next was the Department of Justice in 1870, followed by the Department of Labor in 1913.

1913 was also the first year for federal income tax as we know it.  We’ll talk more about taxes later.

In 1937 the Department of commerce was created, followed by the Department of Health and Human Services in 1953.

After this is when the federal government really started to balloon.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development was created in 1965.

The Department of Transportation was created in 1967.

Department of Energy in 1977.

Department of Education in 1979.

Department of Veteran’s Affairs in 1989.

And the Department of Homeland Security in 2002.

I mentioned earlier we’d get to talking about taxes…, well, here we are.

Here is the history of federal taxes:

In order to help pay for its war effort in the American Civil War, Congress imposed its first personal income tax in 1861.  It was part of the Revenue Act of 1861 (3% of all incomes over $800, rescinded in 1872). Congress also enacted the Revenue Act of 1862, which levied a 3% tax on incomes above $600, rising to 5% for incomes above $10,000. Rates were raised in 1864. This income tax was then repealed in 1872.

So, at this point, we’re back to no federal income taxes.

Forty-one years later, the 16th Amendment was ratified in 1913, which states:

“The Congress shall have the power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.”

So, now the taxation gravy train was off and running!

Congress then enacted an income tax in October 1913 as part of the Revenue Act of 1913, levying a 1% tax on net personal incomes above $3,000, with a 6% surtax on incomes above $500,000.

By 1918, the top rate of the income tax was increased to 77% (on income over $1,000,000, equivalent of $16,717,815 in 2018 dollars to finance World War I. The average rate for the rich however, was 15%.

During World War II, Congress introduced payroll withholding and quarterly tax payments.

A comedic representation by Clifford K. Berryman of the debate to introduce a sales tax in the United States in 1933 and end the income tax.

I have personally argued my support of a a national sales tax (or a consumption tax) as opposed to a federal income tax. Please see my prior blogs on this subject.

At first, the income tax was incrementally expanded by Congress, and then inflation automatically raised most persons into tax brackets formerly reserved for the wealthy until income tax brackets were adjusted for inflation. Income tax now applies to almost two-thirds of the population. The lowest-earning workers, especially those with dependents, pay no income taxes as a group and actually get a small subsidy from the federal government because of child credits and the Earned Income Tax Credit.

While the government was originally funded via tariffs upon imported goods, tariffs now represent only a minor portion of federal revenues.

In the 1930s, the New Deal introduced Social Security to rectify the first three problems (retirement, injury-induced disability, or congenital disability). It introduced the FICA tax as the means to pay for Social Security.

In the 1960s, Medicare was introduced to rectify the fourth problem (health care for the elderly). The FICA tax was increased in order to pay for this expense.

The total federal budget for 2020 is $4.79 trillion, but we ALWAYS spend more than what we budget. That’s why our federal deficit is in the neighborhood of $26 trillion right now…, but that’s another blog for another day.

Remember I mentioned there are over 4 million total employees and elected officials employed by the federal government…, and more than half of these politicians and bureaucrats live in Washington DC and the surrounding areas of Maryland and northern Virginia.

These areas see a consistent voter registration rate of 90-95% democrat and only 5% republican.

When you hear the term “deep state,” this is what they’re referring to.

A bureaucratic workforce that is loyal to the democrat party, regardless of who the American people choose to run the country.

The “deep state” is into self-preservation and expanding itself (bigger government).  That is why they have hitched their wagon to the democrat party, and why you can always expect the democrats to pretend to solve any issue by throwing more government, and more of our money, at it.

“Here endeth the lesson,” as Sean Connery said, when he played a Gman in “The Untouchables.”

That’s when being a Gman was still an honorable profession!

RIP Sean Connery.

What the heck has happened to Venezuela?!  I’ll break it down for you.

Let’s look at a basic and condensed timeline, pertaining to Venezuela, for starters:

1992 – Venezuela becomes the 3rd richest country in the western hemisphere, behind only the United States and Canada.

1993 – President Carlos Andrés Pérez is impeached for embezzlement of public funds.

1998 – A collapse in confidence in the existing parties saw the election of former coup-involved career officer Hugo Chávez and the launch of the Bolivarian Revolution and socialism. The “Bolivarian Revolution” refers to a left-wing populist social movement and political process in Venezuela led by the late Venezuelan president, Hugo Chávez, who founded the Fifth Republic Movement in 1997 and the United Socialist Party of Venezuela in 2007.

1999 – The “revolution” began when a “new” Constitution for Venezuela was written.

2001 – Venezuela voted for a socialist president to address “income inequality.”

venezuela 8

2004 – Private healthcare is completely socialized.

2007 – All higher education becomes “free.”

2009 – The private ownership of guns is banned.

2012 – Bernie Sanders is quoted as saying, “Venezuelans are living the American dream better than Americans.”

venezuela 6

2014 – Government opposition leaders are imprisoned.

2016 – Food shortages become a widespread problem.

venezuela 13

2017 – The Venezuelan constitution and elections are suspended.

2018 – The country’s economic policies lead to extreme hyperinflation, with an inflation rate of 1,370,000% by the end of the year.

2019 – It is estimated that more than 3 million people have fled Venezuela in recent years.

2019 – Venezuelan protesters are attacked and killed by their own government in order to suppress their dissidence.

Venezuela’s socialist governments have been in power since 1999, taking over the country at a time when Venezuela had huge inequality.

But the socialist polices brought in which aimed to help the poor backfired, and made the situation even worse, of course.  Companies now controlled by the government failed, and price controls to make basic goods more affordable to the poor by capping prices meant that Venezuelan businesses no longer found it profitable to produce them.  Eventually, the government subsidies of all facets of the economy were unsustainable.

In only 27 years Venezuela has turned a “rags to riches” story into a “riches to rags” story.

venezuela 5

Like Margaret Thatcher, the former Britsh Prime Minister once said, “The trouble with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.”

Does any of the Venezuela story sound familiar today in America?

There certainly appear to be some similarities in the early stages happening here.

venezuela 2

We see an impeachment happy democrat Congress trying to overturn a presidential election.

We see many democrat politicians and democrat presidential candidates calling for a new constitution or drastic changes to our existing one.

venezuela 10

We constantly hear democrat politicians and democrat presidential candidates touting government solutions for “income inequality,” don’t we?

venezuela 9

We hear democrat politicians and democrat presidential candidates calling for a complete government takeover of our healthcare system.

Many democrat politicians and democrat presidential candidates are proposing “free” college.

And lastly, we hear many democrat politicians and democrat presidential candidates calling for radical changes to our gun laws, changes to the 2nd amendment or the complete removal of our right to bear arms.

The intentions of the American democrat party are apparent.

The democrats want to destroy America as we know it.

venezuela 3

The choice here is painfully clear.

If you want to follow in Venezuela’s footsteps…, elect democrats.

It’s as simple as that.

The only people who benefit from a socialist government are those in government.

venezuela 7

They apparently long for power that badly that they are willing to turn everyone elses life into a living hell for their own sakes.

They can only do this if we let them, however.

Remember…, the Venezuelan people voted for what they got.

In the end…, it’s their own fault.

And in the end…, we’ll choose our own fate as well.

venezuela 12

“Waaaah…, the election was stolen from me…, waaah!” – Hillary Clinton

According to Liam Quinn, a senior editor at Fox News, “Hillary Clinton suggests the election was ‘stolen’ from her, and other Dems could ‘suffer the same fate.’”

“Hillary Clinton suggested she had the 2016 election ‘stolen’ from her during the latest stop of her slumping speaking tour.”

hillary stolen 9

“Taking the stage with her husband Bill in Los Angeles Saturday night as part of the couple’s ‘Evening with the Clintons’ tour, the former Democrat presidential nominee told the crowd she has been warning potential candidates they could suffer the same fate.”

Ha!  An evening with the Clintons!?

More like an evening with a serial sex offender and his scheming, apologist, power hungry, wanna be president, partner in crime.

hillary stoen 10

‘“I think it’s also critical to understand that, as I’ve been telling candidates who have come to see me, you can run the best campaign, you can even become the nominee, and you can have the election stolen from you,’ the former secretary of state said.”

Oh really?  Which candidates exactly have been coming to see you, Hillary?  I’m calling bull caca on that claim.

hillary stolen 2

“She’s hardly the only prominent Democrat claiming to have been wrongly kept out of office. On Friday, Georgia Democrat Stacey Abrams again claimed she won the state’s 2018 gubernatorial race, despite losing to now-Gov. Brian Kemp.”

‘“I’m here to tell you a secret that makes Breitbart and [Fox News host] Tucker Carlson go crazy: We won,’ Abrams said, according to The Houston Chronicle. ‘I am not delusional. I know I am not the governor of Georgia — possibly yet.’”

No, Stacey, you’re not “delusional,” you’re just a bad loser, and a typical racist, liberal, socialist…, and you don’t know how to talk.

Bam!  Ya, I just said that!

“Abrams justified her refusal to accept the result of the election by calling Kemp ‘an architect of voter suppression that spent the last eight years knitting together a system of voter suppression that is unparalleled in America.’”

Ya…, how dare Governor Kemp attempt to suppress the votes of dead people, non-citizens, and fraudulent mail-in ballots!

The nerve of that guy!

“At the Clinton event, the crowd broke out in applause after Hillary Clinton delivered the ‘stolen’ election line, before she continued with a jab at President Trump.”

‘“And that, my friends, has nothing to do with the economy,’ she said.”

No it doesn’t, Hillary…, but “It’s the economy, stupid” was coined by your hubby’s own campaign strategist, James Carville, during his successful 1992 presidential campaign…, stupid!

“So part of our challenge is to understand what it will take to put together not only the popular vote but the Electoral College.”

Wow…, that’s a good idea Hillary!  Maybe you should have thought about that before the last election…, since, you know…, the winner is decided by which candidate gets the most Electoral College votes.  Duh!

“Clinton won the popular vote in her 2016 campaign against Trump, but lost the Electoral College — and with it, the race.”

She not only lost the Electoral College election, but she got creamed, 304 – 227.

It’s pretty hard to “steal” something from someone who never had the thing to begin with!

Fox News contributor Dan Bongino asked, “How can the woman whose team colluded with Russia during the 2016 campaign claim the election was ‘stolen’ from her’ [by the Russians]?”

hillary stolen 1

“The former first lady also questioned how Trump could still hold conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin following the release of the information in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report.”

Uhhh, maybe because Mueller found no proof of collusion between President Trump and “the Russians,” whatever or whoever “the Russians” means…, or haven’t you heard?

hillary stolen 6hillary stolen 4

“Mueller’s report ‘not only decisively proves, but goes chapter and verse about how the Russians — in the words of the report — conducted a sweeping and systemic interference in our election,’ she said, according to the Seattle Times. ‘And then you wake up and your president is spending an hour on the phone with Vladimir Putin, who was the mastermind of the interference and attack on our election.’”

I’ve said this before…, but Hillary has not read the Mueller report.  All she does is make up whatever narrative she wants and then attributes it to the report, which she know the “biased, liberal propaganda, fake news media” won’t question or dispute.

hillary stolen 5

According to Michael F. Haverluck, of OneNewsNow.com, “The first Clinton event that was held at a Canadian hockey area – which houses nearly 20,000 seats – saw a mere 3,300 tickets sold, and more seat backs than Clinton fans were visible when the lights dimmed and the couple started talking.”

“For their May 19 show at The Forum in Inglewood, California, – which seats more than 17,000 – tickets usually priced at $77 are now going for $35, with $120 tickets discounted to $50, and $175 seats down to $72,” the U.K. daily informed [And tickets were all the way down to $6.50 just prior to the event!]. ‘Despite the site telling customers that ‘tickets are selling fast!’ with ‘limited time remaining,’ it appears that less than 450 discounted tickets have actually been sold.’”

I guess Hillary is about as popular now as she was during the election!

Unlike during the election, however, you can’t pay people to come to your events…, because, in this case, what would be the point?

In conclusion…, let’s be clear…, nothing was “stolen” from you Hillary.

hillary stolen 8

In reality…, you just plain lost…, and conversely…, we know that YOU were the one who cheated during the debates.  You were the one who had your party rig the primary election against Bernie Sanders.  YOU and your partners in crime were the ones who colluded with the Russians in an attempt to dig up dirt on and/or frame Donald Trump.  And YOU were and are the one who has obstructed justice at every turn.

And you just continue to lie misinform the people whenever you open your mouth.

Oh, Hillary…, lying for you is as easy as breathing, isn’t it?

When talking with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, Hillary Clinton said the most important thing she learned from the Mueller report was “the Russians were successful” in sowing “discord and divisiveness.”

First of all, “Crooked Hillary,” you, yourself, did not read one word of the Mueller report, so you actually learned nothing from it.

Then you, “Crooked Hillary,” suggest it was the Russians who were “successful in sowing discord and divisiveness” during the 2016 election, when in all actuality it was you, “Crooked Hillary” and your crooked partners in crime!  You know…, the same people you gave money to so they could give money to Christopher Steele to collude with the Russians and help to fabricate the infamous dossier.  You know…, the real colluders with the Russians…, You, “Crooked Hillary,” the DNC, the company Fusion GPS and Nellie Ohr, the wife of Justice Department official Bruce Ohr.  This is all common knowledge now, except many Americans are not aware of it thanks to the complicit “biased, liberal propaganda, fake news media.”

lying hillary 1

The next thing that oozes from “Crooked Hillary’s” mouth is, “China, if you’re listening, why don’t you get Trump’s tax returns?”

“Turnabout,” she hypothetically suggests to MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, “might be fair play.”

Then again it might not.

maddow

You, “Crooked Hillary,” wouldn’t be inciting operatives of the Chinese government to illegally obtain and distribute information about the current President of the United States, would you?

Because if you were, I would consider that a treasonous act and you, “Crooked Hillary,” an accessory to that crime…, another crime…, another crime in a long list of crimes.

lying hillary 12

According to Bianca Quilantan for Politico, “Hillary Clinton on Wednesday night suggested that if the Justice Department was going to let Russia get away with interfering in the 2016 presidential election, it might be OK if one of the 2020 Democratic candidates enlisted China for help.”

lying hillary 11

Speaking again to Rachel Maddow on her MSNBC show, ‘“Imagine, Rachel, that you had one of the Democratic nominees for 2020 on your show, and that person said, you know, the only other adversary of ours who is anywhere near as good as the Russians is China,’ Clinton told Maddow. ‘So why should Russia have all the fun? And since Russia is clearly backing Republicans, why don’t we ask China to back us?’”

‘“And not only that, China, if you’re listening, why don’t you get Trump’s tax returns?’ Clinton continued. ‘I’m sure our media would richly reward you.’”

lying hillary 2

I’m sure our “biased, liberal propaganda, fake news media” would reward them too!  Just as long as they don’t come around with dirt on you or the democrats, right!

I’m also sure that China would be more than happy to back the democrats and go back to the Obama days when they were getting away with economic murder all of those one-sided trade deals.

“Clinton said the No. 1 thing she learned from reading special counsel Robert Mueller’s partially redacted report (which she didn’t read) was that Russia conducted a “sweeping and systemic interference” in the 2016 election and has not been held accountable. And that she worries there is reason to believe Russia will do it again.”

Extra!  Extra!  Read all about it!  Russia has been trying to interfere, and interfering, in our elections for like the last 70 years!  This is nothing new and I’m sure they won’t quit trying now.

Mrs. Clinton, “Crooked Hillary,” is just one giant and continuous misinformation machine.  In other words, lies roll off of her tongue like water flows over a waterfall.

lying hillary 5

“When asked about Attorney General William Barr’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee earlier Wednesday, Clinton said that ‘calling for his resignation makes perfect sense.’”

‘“I think that the Democrats on the committee did a good job today in exposing that he is the president’s defense lawyer,’ Clinton said. ‘He is not the attorney general of the United States in the way that he has conducted himself.’ Clinton added that House Democrats ‘have every reason to’ find Barr in contempt.”

lying hillary 13

Standing up for the truth, the law and common sense does not make you “the President’s defense lawyer,” Hillary.

You, “Crooked Hillary,” feel that “calling for his [Attorney General Barr’s] resignation makes perfect sense.”  Oh, you mean like when Obama’s Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, met privately with your husband, on a plane, sitting on the tarmac, in the middle of their investigation of you?  Is that what you mean?

lying hillary 3

lying hillary 7

‘“But this is part of their [“their” meaning the whole right-wing conspiracy thing I guess] whole technique to divert attention from what the real story is,’ Clinton continued. ‘The real story is the Russians interfered in our election. And Trump committed obstruction of justice. That’s the real story.’”

Wrong again “liar, liar, pants on fire!”  “The real story” is that you and your partners in crime fabricated the fairy tale dossier and used it as a basis for attempting to frame President Trump, and his people, with colluding with the Russians…, which is exactly what you and your friends did.

That’s “the real story.”

Hillary Clinton says, “Anyone other than Trump would have been indicted for obstruction.”

No.

Oh no you didn’t!

Please tell me that those words did not come out of your lying, corrupt pie hole, Mrs. Clinton!

hillary summit 1

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, “These democrats just have NO shame.”

They will lie straight to your face and smile while they’re doing it.

Which she did while speaking at the TIME 100 Summit, in New York, Tuesday, April 23, 2019.

According to Alex Pappas for Fox News, “Hillary Clinton said Tuesday she believes Donald Trump would have been indicted in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe if he weren’t president, though stopped short of calling for his impeachment.”

“Clinton, the Democratic nominee for president in 2016, argued during a Q&A session in New York that Mueller’s report ‘could not be clearer’ in making the case Trump tried to obstruct the Russia investigation — even though Mueller did not come to an explicit conclusion on that question.”

Well, I have to agree with you there Hillary.  It “could not be any clearer,” and it’s as clear as mud!

And again…, BELIEVE ME…, if Robert Mueller could have charged President Trump with ANYTHING…, and I mean ANYTHING…, he would have.

She continues by saying, ‘“I think there’s enough there that any other person who had engaged in those acts would certainly have been indicted, but because of the rule in the Justice Department that you can’t indict a sitting president, the whole matter of obstruction was very directly sent to the Congress.’”

I guess Hillary should know.  She is the queen of obstructing justice after all.

hillary summit 2

“Clinton, who was defeated by Trump in the election, said it’s too early to call for Trump’s impeachment.  She said she supports Congress investigating Mueller’s findings ‘based on evidence’ and without a ‘preordained conclusion.’”

We all know democrats never let a little thing like “evidence” get in the way of anything they want to promote.

And a “Preordained conclusion?”

Oh…, you mean like how you were preordained to win the democrat presidential nomination?  And then you and the DNC submarined poor old Bernie Sanders and all of his supporters?

Is that the kind of “preordained conclusion you’re referring to?”

Robert Mueller’s investigation was all backwards and illegitimate.  It was an investigation that was initiated based on a fabricated and a disingenuous document, and paid for by Hillary and the DNC no less.  It was also an investigation that knew what result it wanted before any evidence or proof of a crime was established.

Investigating people in America just for the sake of investigating them is not legal in America.  Typically we have to have an established reason, with supporting evidence, for doing so.

‘“I’m really of the mind that the Mueller report is part of the beginning,’ Clinton said. ‘It’s not the end.’”

Again, I find myself agreeing with Mrs. Clinton’s words but not the nature of her beliefs.

I also believe it is the “beginning,” but the beginning of getting to the bottom of who was behind the initiation of this “witch hunt” of an investigation.

I believe it is the “beginning,” but the beginning of getting to the bottom of who authorized the spying on of a US citizen and an opposition’s campaign.

I believe it is the “beginning,” but the beginning of getting to the bottom of who felt they could take the presidential election into their own hands and attempt to overturn the election results.

I believe it may also be the beginning of making Hillary herself pay for her numerous sins throughout the whole process.

I’ll keep you posted.

Why are so many cities, led by liberal democrats, such “hot messes?”

Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, St. Louis, Memphis, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Minneapolis, just to name a few.

So what do all of these crime-ridden cities have in common?

They all have inept democrat “leadership…,” if you can call it leadership.

history 7

And along with that inept democrat “leadership” comes inept democrat policies, and a total disregard for any kind of fiscal responsibility, and a disregard for any kind of responsibility for that matter.

history 3

What we have here is basically idiots leading the ignorant.

This problem is created when the majority of these cities’ populations are made-up of dependent people looking for hand-outs, mostly unskilled workers, and the poorly educated.

As a result, unqualified democrat candidates are elected who have no idea how to solve any of the cities’ problems, nor do they even want to.

history 5

These are the types of candidates this demographic consistently leans towards and supports.

These “leaders” are blissfully ignorant, and more than happy to be “large and in charge” of their dysfunctional fantasy lands, as their “Romes” burn down around them.

history 4

That seems to be the basic “modus operandi” of a socialist form of government.

Barnini Chakraborty for Fox News seems to agree with me when she reports that, “Baltimore [is] struggling with soaring crime, drugs and inept political leaders.”

“Charm City [Baltimore] has also been struggling with a crisis of confidence when it comes to its political leaders.”

I’m sure we can all recall the visions of the Baltimore riot during Barack Obama’s reign, how he chose to ignore it, and how the mayor at that time chose to let the rioters “express themselves” by burning down half of the city.

history 9

history 11

history 8

history 2

“Last week, federal agents raided the homes and City Hall offices of Baltimore’s embattled Mayor Catherine Pugh, widening an investigation into whether she used bulk sales of her self-published children’s book to disguise kickbacks. The early-morning searches were just the latest setback for the politically isolated first-term mayor who campaigned on transparency and ending corruption.”

“Republican Gov. Larry Hogan joined a growing group of people who want Pugh to step down and has called on the state prosecutor to investigate allegations of ‘self-dealing’ by Pugh.”

‘“Now more than ever, Baltimore City needs strong and responsible leadership,’ Hogan tweeted Thursday. ‘Mayor Pugh has lost the public trust. She is clearly not fit to lead.  For the good of the city, Mayor Pugh must resign.’”

“Baltimore City Council members echoed the sentiment, and Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot tweeted last month: ‘The Mayor has to resign – now. The people of Baltimore are facing too many serious challenges, as it is, to also deal with such brazen, cartoonish corruption from their chief executive.’”

Yes…, “the mayor has to resign now,” so we can get the next clown in there who will probably be even worse.

“Pugh has been on paid administrative leave for the past month as calls to go grow, but she is hardly the first Baltimore mayor who has faced calls to leave.  Democratic Mayor Sheila Dixon resigned from office in 2010 to save her pension and preserve the possibility of working for the city or state again.  Pugh beat out Dixon by about 3,000 votes to clinch the 2016 Democratic primary.”

“John Dedie, a political science coordinator at the Community College of Baltimore County, told The Associated Press that one of the city’s greatest fears is to be ‘seen as a laughing stock, like Detroit was years ago until the governor of Michigan put it in receivership.’”

Uhh, I think it’s a little too late for that Mr. Dedie.

The new Police Commissioner, Michael Harrison was sworn-in on March 12, and he promised to make Baltimore safer and lead the department through sweeping reforms.

Promises, promises.

“Beverly White, who has lived in the city for more than three decades, told Fox News she has struggled to keep her family safe.”

‘“There have been shootings one after another,’ she said. ‘We’ve had people come here and promise to clean up the streets but nothing happens. People feel unsafe in their neighborhoods. (Harrison) says he’s going to turn things around. It’s a nice thought, but they keep killing people… it’s going to get worse in the summer. It always gets worse in the summer.’”

“To be fair, Harrison inherited a dysfunctional force that’s long been distrusted by many residents. Misconduct by officers and chronically high rates of violent crime are just a handful of systemic failures in Baltimore.”

No…, to be fair, Mr. Harrison knew exactly what he was walking into, and it is obvious that he is in way over his head.

There really is no positive end in sight for these cities.

They’ll all end up bottoming out and declaring bankruptcy, like Detroit, before any hint of positive momentum can begin to be realized.

The more things change the more they remain the same.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein isn’t good at much…, except saving his own a$$!

…at least for the moment.

According to Nicole Darrah and John Roberts for Fox News, “Former Arkansas Republican Governor Mike Huckabee says Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s critical comments [about] the Russia election interference investigation [and of the Obama administration for their handling of the Russia investigation] is a soft way of saying there was a cover up.”

“Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who frequently found himself in the political crosshairs due to his role in the special counsel’s Russia probe and whose departure has long been expected, submitted his resignation on Monday to President Trump, effective May 11.”

rosenstein 7

“Attorney General William Barr in a statement said Rosenstein served the Justice Department ‘with dedication and distinction.’”

Ugh.  I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

‘“His devotion to the Department and its professionals is unparalleled,’ the statement read. ‘Over the course of his distinguished government career, he has navigated many challenging situations with strength, grace, and good humor.’”

Ahhhhh!  Ok…, that did it…, now I just hurled all over my keyboard!

What is Barr talking about?!

I’m confused.

At times it seems that Attorney General Barr is a pretty “straight shooter,” but then he comes out with this junk regarding Rod Rosenstein, and puts himself back into the “political hack” category.

Let’s just quickly review Mr. Rosenstein’s “distinguished” actions.

Rod Rosenstein was implicated in the FBI surveillance abuses against the Trump campaign in, recently released, declassified memos.

rosenstein 4

Rosenstein was responsible for at least one questionable surveillance warrant (FISA) application, which he signed, knowing full well that information supporting the application was obtained from a partisan anti-Trump dossier funded by Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democrat Party.

According to Saagar Enjeti, a White House Correspondent for The Daily Caller, “President Donald Trump agreed that alleged discussions of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein invoking the 25th Amendment in the days after the firing of former FBI Director James Comey constituted an illegal coup attempt in a Monday morning tweet.”

rosenstein 6

‘“This was an illegal coup attempt on the President of the United States. Dan Bongino on @foxandfriends True! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 18, 2019,’”

“Trump quoted from a Fox and Friends segment by conservative commentator Dan Bongino who reacted to a Sunday night broadcast interview of former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe on CBSNews’ 60 minutes.”

‘“60 Minutes Moment of the Week: Former FBI acting director McCabe says Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein raised the idea of removing President Trump via the 25th Amendment. https://t.co/wkC4AKxGiC pic.twitter.com/UkOb4QbrZh

— 60 Minutes (@60Minutes) February 18, 2019’”

“McCabe detailed two occasions in which Rosenstein raised the prospect of using the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office and even suggested that two cabinet officials would be willing to involve themselves in the scheme.”

The 25th Amendment allows for the removal of the President of the United States if a majority of his Senate-confirmed cabinet believe he is no longer capable of discharging his duties while in office.

“Rosenstein’s discussion of wearing a wire and talk of the 25th Amendment was first reported by The New York Times in September 2018.”

“McCabe also alleges that Rosenstein suggested in a meeting that he would wear a wire into the Oval Office in meetings with Trump. The former FBI deputy director told ‘60 minutes’ in an interview that he took Rosenstein’s suggestion so seriously that he brought the idea up to FBI lawyers who waved off his suggestion.”

“The original New York Times report of Rosenstein’s discussion of wearing a wire into the Oval Office and invoking the 25th Amendment nearly prompted his ouster in September 2018. Trump, however, appeared to accept Rosenstein’s explanation at that the report was exaggerated or not true, and the deputy attorney general was allowed to keep his job.”

“The president changed his tune on Twitter Monday morning, however, indicating he now believes the reports.”

‘“Wow, so many lies by now disgraced acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe. He was fired for lying, and now his story gets even more deranged. He and Rod Rosenstein, who was hired by Jeff Sessions (another beauty), look like they were planning a very illegal act, and got caught…..

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump)’”

rosenstein 1

Rosenstein also took over the Russia investigation after then AG Jeff Sessions recused himself from the investigation.  It was Rosenstein who later appointed Mueller to his post and got the whole “Russian collusion” and President Trump “witch hunt” rolling.

Quite a “distinctive” and “dedicated” career, huh?

William Barr said “His [Rosenstein’s] devotion to the Department and its professionals is unparalleled…”

I would say that his “devotion” was to “the swamp,” and the rest of his treasonous cohorts…, not the Department of Justice.

On his way out, Rosenstein has even defended Attorney General Bill Barr’s handling of the Mueller report.

Also, “Rosenstein was part of a small group of [Justice] department officials who reviewed the document [the Mueller Report] and helped shape its public release. After Mueller didn’t reach a conclusion on whether Trump had obstructed the investigation, Barr and Rosenstein stepped in and determined the evidence wasn’t enough to support such an allegation.”

“In his resignation letter, Rosenstein thanked Trump ‘for the opportunity to serve; for the courtesy and humor you often display in our personal conversations; and for the goals you set in your inaugural address: patriotism, unity, safety, education, and prosperity, because a nation exists to serve its citizens.’”

Oh, oh…, I’m starting to feel a little sick to my stomach again!

“…because a nation exists to serve its citizens,” huh?

And “swampy” federal employees, like yourself, exist to serve themselves and “the swamp.”

rosenstein 3

Rosenstein’s picture should be in the dictionary next to “slimy swamp monster.”

rosenstein 2

I’m glad to see Rosenstein go for now, but hopefully we’ll see him again in the not too distant future, giving up some his cohorts to again save his slimy, treasonous a$$!

rosenstein 5

Woof! Woof! Campaign finance laws…, all bark and no bite.

Let’s make no mistake about it…, politicians and political groups are ALL about the money.  And it doesn’t really matter what party they’re affiliated with.

When we hear all of this blustery talk regarding “campaign finance reform” every so often, their proposals are all just shams that pretend to actually do something, but in reality they have no effect on the flow of money at all.

In this case, were talking about the flow of what is referred to as “dark money.”

“Dark money” is referred to as “dark money” because the actual donors/investors remain comfortably and anonymously in the shadows.

dark money 1

What we have here is the discovery of an entire “dark money” network supporting liberal causes.

dark money 4

According to Adam Shaw for Fox News, “An expansive network of ‘shadowy’ dark money donors has [been uncovered which is] pumping millions into left-wing causes ranging from health care to climate change to abortion, all while flying well under the radar of public scrutiny, according to an explosive new report obtained by Fox News.”

“The report, by conservative watchdog Capital Research Center, describes a band of nonprofits operating under the banner of Washington-based philanthropy company Arabella Advisors. Those ‘pop up groups’ are housed in four Arabella-controlled ‘sister’ nonprofits, according to the report: The New Venture Fund, Sixteen Thirty Fund, Hopewell Fund and Windward Fund.”

‘“Together, these groups form an interlocking network of ‘dark money’ pop-up groups and other fiscally sponsored projects, all afloat in a half-billion-dollar ocean of cash,’ the report says. ‘The real puppeteer, though, is Arabella Advisors, which has managed to largely conceal its role in coordinating so much of the professional Left’s infrastructure under a mask of ‘philanthropy.’”

“The report says the ‘hydra-like’ network brought in $1.6 billion between 2013 and 2017 ‘to advance the political policies desired by wealthy left-wing interests,’ as the network’s revenues grew by 392 percent. The four Arabella-controlled ‘sister’ groups brought in $582 million in 2017 alone, according to the report. If the four groups were a single entity, it would make them the 22nd largest public charity in America, with higher revenues than the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Planned Parenthood or the Clinton Foundation.”

‘“The size and scope of the Arabella network of funds demonstrates far more ‘dark money’ exists on the left side of the political spectrum than has been previously admitted,’ the report says.”

Uh…, yeah…, especially since nothing is ever “admitted!”

dark money 5

The name “Arabella” means “yielding to prayer,” by the way.  Prayer to who or what would be my only question, as this is definitely not a Godly venture.

“Arabella’s website says the company was founded to ‘provide strategic guidance for effective philanthropy’ and is ‘dedicated to helping clients make a difference on the issues that matter most to them, from climate to women and girls, education, good food, and more.’ All told, the company represents clients with collective assets totaling more than $100 Billion.”

That’s $100 Billion with a “B!”

“But the report alleges the group blurs the line between philanthropy and political advocacy on issues such as ObamaCare, gun control, abortion and opposition to the confirmation of now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. And it says that due to the financial arrangements and lack of donor disclosure, ‘it is impossible to know which organization subsidizes the various campaigns and political movements spawned by Arabella’s funds.’”

And that’s just the way they like it.

“The company was founded by Eric Kessler, who has worked both in the Clinton administration, where he managed conservation issues, and as a member of the Clinton Global Initiative. He also founded the New Venture Fund and is on the board of the Sixteen Thirty Fund.”

Well, there you have it.

That’s all we needed to know.

Arabella was founded by someone who has worked in the Clinton Administration and the Clinton Global Initiative.

A true pedigree in crookedness and underhandedness.

“Arabella did not respond to a request for comment from Fox News.”

Reeeeeally?!

“The report claims the group runs a network of ‘astroturf’ [referring to apparent grassroots-based citizen groups or coalitions] activities including as many as 340 ‘pop up’ groups, which the report says are often little more than websites created to give the appearance of grassroots campaigns. It cites the organization’s activities pushing back against Republican efforts to repeal and replace ObamaCare as an example of its political activism.”

‘“At a glance, these groups, such as Save My Care and Protect Our Care, appeared to be impassioned examples of citizen activists defending ObamaCare,’ the report says. ‘In reality, neither “not-for-profit” advocacy group appears to have paid staff, held board meetings, or even owned so much as a pen.’”

“Consequently, the report says, the groups can be used to run ‘short-term, high intensity media campaigns targeting the news cycle’ such as during the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing. The report gave the example of activists, led by Demand Justice, waving glossy ‘Stop Kavanaugh’ signs in protest of the conservative nominee’s confirmation.”

“Demand Justice, led by former Hillary Clinton press secretary Brian Fallon, is very active on judicial issues, and is more than just a website.

There’s that “Clinton” reference again!

Liberal mega-donor George Soros and his Democracy Alliance group pop-up as well in association with the Sixteen Thirty Fund and the New Venture Fund.

dark money 3

It’s just one more bit of evidence which demonstrates the un-holiness of these alliances.

Stay thirsty (for the truth) my friends!

The truth is out there, and the truth shall set you free!
