The “biased, liberal, fake news media” shows its true colors once again!

In a special “runoff” election Tuesday night, the last Senate seat up for grabs in 2018 was claimed by the Republican, Cindy Hyde-Smith, by a 54% – 46% margin over the Democrat, Mike Espy.

I guess the “blue wave” didn’t make it too far ashore in the state of Mississippi!

But I digress.

Not only did Hyde-Smith win, giving the Republicans a 53-47 margin in the Senate, she was the first woman elected as a senator from the state of Mississippi.  So it was historical in that aspect as well.

Other than possibly the news regarding the migrant caravan on our southern border, this election story should probably have been the most newsworthy item out there this morning.

So, how did the “biased, liberal, fake news media” choose to cover this election story?

Well, let’s take a look the day after the election.

On “The Washington Post’s” website, you have to scroll down to the 28th story listed there.  The headline reads: “Republican Cindy Hyde-Smith wins racially charged election over Democrat Mike Espy.”

On “Yahoo News,” we have to scroll down to the 100th story listed there, where the headline reads: “Mississippi voters send Hyde-Smith back to the US Senate after runoff marred by controversy.”

On the MSNBC website, there is no mention of election results at all until we see a reference to a story that appears on their show, “Morning Joe,” regarding the election.  And we only see this after scrolling over halfway down the website, past 39 other stories.

Lastly, we have our good friends over at CNN.  Of the 100 articles listed on their website, we find no headline about the actual election results.  The only story we find is titled: “What we learned from the 2018 Senate race.”

We can see that even when the story is mentioned, albeit as an afterthought, it only appears with some sort of negative connotation along with it.

You see, when reality doesn’t support the narrative, reality is just basically ignored by the “biased, liberal, fake news media.

I call this “propaganda by omission,” and it is conducted by the “biased, liberal, fake news media” almost every day.

Alternatively, suppose the democrat had won the election in Mississippi.

Do you think the “biased, liberal, fake news media” would have covered the story any differently?

Do you think the story would have appeared more prominently in their “story pecking order?”

Do you think we may have seen more positive headlines, bordering on being almost joyous in nature?

The answers to these questions are YES, YES and YES.

So once again, we have a blatant display of how the “biased, liberal, fake news media” operates.

They can deny their bias, preferential treatment, misinformation and propagandizing all they want, but we are wise to their tricks now and they have our full and undivided attention. Their days of getting away with this are over!

Ballots cast for democrats are like rabbits; if you leave them sit around long enough, they start to multiply! – MrEricksonRules

Yes, isn’t it funny that they NEVER seem to find any ballots “laying around” that increase the republican’s vote total?

Why is that?

Maybe it’s because THE REPUBLICANS DON’T CHEAT!!!!!

We go through the same crap every election cycle, and it’s about time we took some serious steps to address it.

Please check out my prior blog from November 5, 2018: “It’s not “just” one vote.  It’s MY one vote!” for my ideas on that subject.  I also have numerous earlier blogs that discuss the issue of voting as well, which are all worth checking out.

It is now three days after the midterm elections, and some states are still counting ballots and finding ballots.

In Arizona, Democrat candidate Kyrsten Sinema has suddenly taken a 9,600 vote lead over Republican Martha McSally late Thursday, and they say there are still some 400,000 votes left to count!  McSally was ahead by 17,000 votes as of early Thursday.

In Florida, Republican Senate candidate and current governor Rick Scott complained, “Late Tuesday night, our win was projected to be around 57,000 votes.  By Wednesday morning, that lead dropped to 38,000.  By Wednesday evening, it was around 30,000.  This morning, it was around 21,000.  Now, it is down to 15,000!”

Scott continued, saying: “On election night, Broward County said there were 634,000 votes cast.  At 1 a.m. today, there were 695,700 ballots cast on Election Day.  At 2:30 p.m. today, the number was up to 707,223 ballots cast on Election Day.  And we just learned, that the number has increased to 712,840 ballots cast on Election Day.  In Palm Beach County, there are 15,000 new votes found since election night!”

“So, it has been over 48 hours since the polls closed and Broward and Palm Beach Counties are still finding and counting ballots, and the Supervisors, Brenda Snipes and Susan Bucher, cannot seem to say how many ballots still exist or where these ballots came from, or where they have been.”

The state of Georgia seems to be experiencing this strange democrat ballot phenomenon in their governor’s race as well.

Armies of lawyers, for both sides, are poised and at the ready in all three states.

This whole voting business should not be this hard people!

Republican Senate candidate Rick Scott is concerned about possible “rampant fraud” in the election, and he filed lawsuits late Thursday against the top election officials in two heavily Democratic counties, as they continue to report “new votes” and three top races in the state appear headed for recounts.

According to Gregg Re of Fox News, “In their lawsuit against Broward County, Scott and the National Republican Senatorial Committeee (NRSC) allege that officials there are hiding critical information about the number of votes cast and counted.  And in a parallel suit against Palm Beach County, Scott and the NRSC charge that the election supervisor there illegally used her own judgment to determine voter intent when reviewing damaged or incorrectly filled-out absentee ballots, while refusing to allow impartial witnesses to monitor the process.”

“I will not stand idly by while unethical liberals try to steal an election,” Scott said at a press conference outside the Governor’s Mansion.

Republican Senator, Marco Rubio, has tweeted about “alleged incompetence if not outright complicity by Florida officials,” while charging that “Democratic lawyers were descending on the state in a calculated attempt to change the results to try and steal several statewide races.”

Those are strong words.

Also late Thursday, President Trump announced on Twitter that “Law Enforcement is looking into another big corruption scandal having to do with Election Fraud in #Broward and Palm Beach.”

A mandatory recount now appears imminent not only in Scott’s race, but also in the gubernatorial race between Democrat Andrew Gillum and Republican Ron DeSantis.

Scott’s first emergency complaint accuses Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes of being “unwilling to disclose records revealing how many electors voted, how many ballots have been canvassed, and how many ballots remain to be canvassed,” and charges that the uncertainty “raises substantial concerns about the validity of the election process.”

The NRSC specifically alleges that Snipes is in violation of the Florida Constitution and the Florida Public Records Act. They demand an emergency hearing, as well as a court order requiring Snipes to turn over information about ballots in Broward County.

Scott’s complaint against Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Susan Bucher, meanwhile, alleges first that officials there illegally refused to allow Republicans, or any witnesses, to monitor the county’s handling of damaged absentee ballots.

“Even more alarmingly,” Scott additionally claims, Bucher “failed to allow the Palm Beach County Canvassing Board” to determine, as required by law, which damaged or improperly filled-out absentee ballots were valid and how the voters of those ballots had intended to vote.  Instead, Scott and the NRSC argue, Bucher and her staff simply used their own judgment when determining voters’ intent.

Senator Rubio referred to the “slow drip” of tens of thousands of additional ballots that were reported throughout the day Thursday, most of which were favorable to several Democratic candidates.  Rubio said those late disclosures violated Florida election law, which necessitates that mail-in and early voting ballots be counted within 30 minutes of polls closing.

“Bay County was hit by a Cat 4 Hurricane just 4 weeks ago, yet managed to count votes and submit timely results,” Rubio wrote.  “Yet over 41 hours after polls closed #Broward elections office is still counting votes?”

Rubio and Scott both made it clear they have no confidence in Snipes’ integrity.

“A U.S. Senate seat & a statewide cabinet officer are now potentially in the hands of an elections supervisor with a history of incompetence & of blatant violations of state & federal laws,” Rubio wrote, linking to a Miami Herald article describing several scandals that have gripped Broward County’s Elections Department.

Earlier this year, a judge found that Snipes had illegally destroyed ballots in a 2016 congressional contest, leading the secretary of state’s office to assign election monitors to supervise her.

At his Thursday press conference, Scott outlined some of Snipes’ troubled history.

“In 2016, Brenda Snipes’ office posted election results half an hour before polls closed, a violation of election law,” Scott said. “That same year, her office was sued for leaving amendments off of ballots.  In 2014, Brenda Snipes’ fellow Democrats accused her of individual and systemic breakdowns that made it difficult for voters to cast regular ballots.  All Floridians should be concerned about that.”

“I think the problems are blown out of proportion,” Snipes said in October, in an interview with The Miami Herald. “Broward is nitpicked to the bone. Other places have the same problems, different problems. It’s just that they are not spotlighted like we are.”

Broward County election officials did not return Fox News’ multiple requests for comment at this time.

Meanwhile, Democrat Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York fired back on Twitter at Trump saying: “In a democracy, no one—not even the President—can prevent the lawful counting of votes.  We will not allow him or anyone else to steal this election.”

Say what Chuck?

Did you say someone might be trying to steal an election?

Hey Chuck, have you ever heard the saying, “When you point the finger of blame at someone else, three other fingers are pointing back at you?”

Shame on all of these democrats.

When the day comes that the American people fail to have any confidence at all in our election process at all, that will be the day our country will dramatically change…, and I’m afraid to say that day is not far off unless significant changes are made.

I guess you could say the 2018 Midterm Election was a “win-win” situation.

There definitely was no “blue wave” sited in the 2018 Midterm election results last night, although, at last count, the Democrats did pick-up 26 seats in the House of Representatives and regained control there.  They needed at least 23 to accomplish this.

Regarding the Senate, I think you would have to say that there was a bit of a “red wave” siting.  The Republicans not only did not lose seats, but at last count, they managed to pick-up 3 seats, and that number will likely end up being 4 or even 5.

To put this performance by the Republicans in perspective, let’s look at the results of the midterm election, after President Obama’s first two years, in 2010.

In the midterm of election of 2010, the Democrat Party suffered massive defeats in many national and state level elections, with many seats switching to Republican Party control.  Although the President’s party usually loses congressional, statewide and local seats in midterm elections, the 2010 midterm election season featured some of the biggest losses since the Great Depression. The Republican Party gained 63 seats in the House of Representatives, recapturing the majority, and making it the largest seat change since 1948 and the largest for any midterm election since the 1938 midterm elections. The Republicans also gained 6 seats in the U.S. Senate.

So, overall, I think the Republicans can fairly say this election was quite successful, while the Democrats should feel like it was a bit disappointing, even though they managed to regain control of The House.

In my estimation, the “biggest losers” of the midterm elections were the Obamas, Hollywood celebrities in general and these major democrat contributors.

Despite numerous appearances in Georgia and Florida by Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey and others, both states were swept by the Republicans.

Barack Obama fancies himself as the most popular president of all time, and Michelle thinks she is some uncontested “voice of reason” in America.  They have obviously overestimated their popularity and influence.  During Barack’s last appearances, he looked like he was rode hard and put away wet, and his voice sounded like he looked.

President Trump, on the other hand, worked tirelessly over that last month, and his popularity and energy definitely did make a big difference for races with national implications, like those in the Senate and various governorships.

Apparently most Americans are not buying that President Trump is the incarnation of evil that democrats and the “biased, liberal, fake news media” would have us believe.

Pop Singer Taylor Swift’s support was rebuked in the Tennessee Senate race, and Beto O’Rourke could not buy the Senate seat in Texas.  Over $70 million was spent in the Texas Senate race, making it the most expensive in U.S. history.  Between Texas, Georgia and Florida alone, these rich democrat investors wasted over $150 million of their money on their preferred candidates.

In the end, the Democrats won and the Republicans won.

The Republicans’ win was just a little more impressive.

President Trump’s rally song, by The Rolling Stones, is pretty apropos here.

“You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need.”

In 2018, both parties got what they needed, but not all that they wanted.

election results 2018 2

Midterm Election Day 2018 is finally here, and it’s time to vote!

As we prepare to go out and cast our votes today, remember this:

Liberal politician and “biased, liberal, fake news media” election predictions are like a-holes.  They all have one, and they all stink!

All we have to do is look at the snapshot of the tweet from The (failing) New York Times (at the bottom of the blog) to remind ourselves how accurate these polls are nowadays.

Do you remember: “Donald Trump has no path to victory.”

Then around midnight, on election night 2016, we heard, “Hillary Clinton has no path to victory.”

Hmmm.  It’s funny how that works!

It ain’t over till it’s over!

We’ve seen them all these past few months, predicting a “blue wave” and touting all of their, what we know are, skewed poll figures.

Well, it’s time to vote now.

The time for predictions and polling are over.

Historically, the party NOT in power in The White House (the democrats this year) pick up quite a few seats in The House of Representatives and The Senate.

Add to that the fact that republicans lost roughly three times the amount of incumbent representatives than the democrats did, and we can see that the republicans are facing a significant challenge here.

On the other hand, President Trump has been “barnstorming” and rallying all over the country in a midterm election blitz, reminiscent of the final days of his presidential campaign.

The republicans also have, what has recently been called, “the strongest economy in US history” to run on.

I feel that this election is also going to be a referendum on our country’s borders, and how we approach immigration.  Do we want “open borders?”  The American people see that enormous “caravan” of potential illegal immigrants getting closer to our southern border every day.  I guess we’ll see.

Let’s just recap some of the democrat party positions.  What do the democrats want?:

Democrats want to double down and even triple down on nationalized health care.  Reinstating ObamaCare isn’t even acceptable for the democrats at this point.  They want complete government control of health care, at a cost that would double or triple our annual budget.

Of course, this would mean higher taxes, and when I say “higher taxes” I mean an ungodly increase of our taxes.

Democrats want “open borders.”  “Open borders” means anyone can come walking into our country from anywhere, at any time, and they assume all of the rights and benefits of an American citizen immediately upon entry…, including the right to vote!

There are a myriad of problems associated with this philosophy.  As President Trump says, “A country without borders is not a country.”  This concept sounds good while we’re sitting around, holding hands and singing “We Are the World,” but it’s not feasible when we’re talking about national security, spending budgets, allocations of benefits, national economic planning and maintenance, our election system.  Not to mention our Constitution.

Democrats want to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).  If democrats are promoting “open borders,” it only makes sense that they want to get rid of the law enforcement agency that deals with immigration violators and people bringing illegal drugs and other items into our country.

So, in addition to allowing anyone to walk into our country from anywhere, at any time, democrats want to allow anything and everything to be brought into our country without question.

Democrats want to change our economic system from capitalism to socialism.  Socialism calls for public rather than private ownership or control of property and natural resources.  According to the socialist view, individuals do not live or work for themselves, but for the good of the whole.  Everything that people produce is in essence a social product, and everyone is entitled to a share in it.  Society as a whole, therefore, should own or at least control property for the benefit of all its members.

Please note that our country, the wealthiest and most powerful country in the world, was built through capitalism.  Also please note that socialism, or its close relative communism, has never been successful where tried around the world.

“The trouble with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.” – Former British Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher

Democrats want to stifle our freedom of thought.  We see evidence of this every day.  We see it when conservatives are verbally and physically harassed out in public.  We see it on college campuses, where a diversity of thought is feared and looked down upon (this should be the last place where this should occur).  We see it in the entertainment industry, where entertainers are shunned and criticized for independent thought, and the rest of us are inundated by their biased renderings on daily and nightly basis.

Democrats want to return to an America that puts global interests before the interests of our own country.  Democrats are chomping at the bit to destabilize our economy and return the manufacturing and trading advantages back to our global neighbors.

Remember, their “guidebook” is “Rules for Radicals,” a book dedicated to “Lucifer’” by the way, by Saul Alinsky.  Alinsky is Hillary Clinton’s mentor, and Barack Obama was a follower as well.  Realizing this helps us to make more sense out of their actions.

The goal of the democrats, and Alinsky’s mission was, and is, to “incite constant struggle and agitation so that the oppressive ‘system’ would eventually be brought to its knees.”  The core of Alinsky’s belief is destruction.  Destruction of the “system” that allows a disparity of wealth (please see the prior section on socialism).

Democrats want our economy and freedoms to bow at the altar of “climate change, “global Warming,” whatever you want to call it. Liberals in America have successfully brainwashed many Americans, and others around the world, into believing the Earth is burning up, and the villain is carbon dioxide, the gas that makes all living things grow, by the way.  It doesn’t take much to see their “climate change religion” is really based on fiction, not fact.

But this plays right into their globalist intentions, and would further raise the cost of food and energy for no rational reason.

Democrats have spent billions of taxpayer dollars financing a junk, “green,” science industry and worthless renewable energy schemes that just don’t work in the real world.

Democrats/liberals believe that our National Anthem is somehow “racist,” that our Flag is “offensive,” and that our history and heritage should be erased because it is “offensive” to some as well. Liberals in America are offended by so much that it is hard to keep track of.  It’s a sad way to go through life, and I wish them well in overcoming their affliction.

This democrat “to do” list should be frightening enough, but it doesn’t even include the topics of abortion, our gun rights and the 2nd amendment, and the two-tiered justice system for members of “the swamp” and then everyone else.

Whose side are the liberals/democrats on anyway?!

Is all of this really what you want to see happen?

If it is, then go ahead and vote for the democrats.

red wave

If not, then vote RED, vote for the republicans on your ballot.

Vote RED to keep our economy rolling.

Vote RED because you like America being respected around the world again.

Vote RED because you like our President putting America first regarding international trade deals and foreign policy.

Vote RED because you want to see Americans rights, safety and benefits put first before illegal immigrant rights, safety and benefits.

I’m hoping and looking for a “BIG RED WAVE’ tonight!

I am confident the republicans will retain control of The Senate, and if they can retain control of The House, by even one vote, I’ll consider that a success as well.

Stay tuned for my blog tomorrow for all of the election results!

Oh, and hey, by the way…, whatever happened to the Robert Mueller midterm election surprise indictments regarding all of that supposed Russian collusion?  If Mueller had ANYTHING, ANYTHING AT ALL, you know it would have come out prior to the midterms.  It is definitely time for the democrats, Mueller and Mueller’s team to give it up and go get some real jobs.

nyt prediction

It’s not “just” one vote.  It’s MY one vote!

If the American people lose confidence in the integrity of our election system, we are one big step closer to our republic dissolving right before our eyes.

We hear about examples of voter fraud, and liberals (And please note: The issue of voter fraud is exclusively synonymous with liberals/democrats) are always quick to discount our voter fraud concerns as “not that prevalent,” “inconsequential,” “unfounded,” or “very rare.”  Then they will quickly turn the discussion to the “real” problem, in their minds, of voter suppression, which truly is virtually a non-existent problem.

Anyone who wants to vote in this country surely gets every opportunity to do so.

Can you imagine how quickly the “biased, liberal, fake news media” would jump on any credible case of voter suppression?

I rest my case.

Okay.  Back to the concerns about voter fraud.

The big question is how many fraudulent votes are acceptable?

Who’s going to the first one to stand up and volunteer to have their vote cancelled out by a fraudulent vote?

Not me.

And I’m guessing not you either.

The right to vote in a free and fair election is our most basic civil right, and one on which many other rights of the American people depend.

Our government should be able to guarantee that every eligible individual who wants to vote can, and that no one’s vote is stolen or discounted.

Voter fraud is real and hundreds of convictions have been made and documented.

According to The Heritage Foundation:

Contrary to the claims of many liberals, the problem of voter fraud is as old as the country itself.  As the U.S. Supreme Court noted when it upheld Indiana’s voter identification law in 2008, “flagrant examples” of voter fraud “have been documented throughout this Nation’s history by respected historians and journalists.”

Attempts to commandeer election results have been documented dating back to the 1800’s.  In one New York election in 1844, 55,000 votes were recorded even though there were only 41,000 eligible voters. Decades later, these efforts have continued and determined fraudsters have become only more creative in their efforts to fix the outcome of elections.

So what are the different types of election fraud that liberals use in an attempt to undermine our election system?  Well, here they are:

Impersonation fraud at the polls: Voting in the name of other legitimate voters and voters who have died, moved away, lost their right to vote for some reason, but remain registered.

False registrations: Voting under fraudulent voter registrations that either use a phony name and a real or fake address or claim residence in a particular jurisdiction where the registered voter does not actually live and is not entitled to vote.

Duplicate voting: Registering in multiple locations and voting in the same election in more than one jurisdiction or state.

Fraudulent use of absentee ballots: Requesting absentee ballots and voting without the knowledge of the actual voter; or obtaining the absentee ballot from a voter and either filling it in directly and forging the voter’s signature or illegally telling the voter who to vote for.

Buying votes: Paying voters to cast either an in-person or absentee ballot for a particular candidate.

Illegal “assistance” at the polls: Forcing or intimidating voters, particularly the elderly, disabled, illiterate, and those for whom English is a second language, to vote for particular candidates while supposedly providing them with “assistance.”

Ineligible voting: Illegal registration and voting by individuals who are not U.S. citizens, or are otherwise not eligible to vote.

Manipulating someone’s vote automatically at the voting machine.

Altering the vote count: Changing the actual vote count either in a precinct or at the central location where votes are counted.

Altering the vote count: Changing the actual vote count either in a precinct or at the central location where votes are counted.

So, who is responsible for ensuring the integrity of our elections?

Each state is generally responsible for the administration of its own electoral systems, including elections for federal office.  This being the case, I feel we open ourselves up to many problems, mostly because the states don’t have access to national databases, which presents the possibility of citizens being registered in multiple states and voting in multiple states.

Of course MrEricksonRules has his own remedy for all of our voting integrity woes!

First, our government needs to establish a new national holiday called “Election Day,” of course.  This would offer everyone every opportunity and ample time to vote.  Especially those people who work for a living.

There would be no “early” voting.  All voting would occur on Election Day.

All voting machines would be identical, and issued to the states by the federal government.

Polling stations would be manned by current federal and/or state employees.  This would give us a level of accountability we currently don’t have.

All votes would have to be cast in person.  The practice of using absentee ballots would be discontinued.  Military personnel would vote at their duty stations and their votes would be routed to their corresponding state based on a military database.  Others unable to be in their “home” state to vote on Election Day would be able to cast a provisional ballot in the state they were physically in, then each state would then be responsible for sending these votes to their respective states.  These votes would only be counted if the total number of provisional votes could potentially change the outcome of the election.

Every adult individual would be required to obtain a Federal Voter Identification Card, if they want to vote.

An initial “national voter database” would be established by cross referencing the IRS database, national military databases, national benefit databases, Social Security databases, along with Medicare and Medicaid databases.

Initial Federal Voter Identification Cards would then be mailed out based on this database.  People not receiving cards by a given date would then be responsible for acquiring a card at designated state or federal locations.

Any person voting who could not be verified on the national voter database would be casting a provisional ballot.

Once you have voted, this would be entered into the national voting database, which would limit you from voting again, in the current election.

There you go.

Problem solved.

Any other problems or issues of national importance may be submitted at any time to Mr. Erickson at MrEricksonRules.com.

“The right to vote cannot come before the integrity of the vote.  They have to go hand in hand.” – Mr. Erickson

Joseph Stalin, who ruled the Soviet Union (Russia) from the mid-1920s until his death in 1953, said, “It doesn’t matter how many people vote, only who counts the votes.”

“We do not have government by the majority.  We have government by the majority who participate.” – Thomas Jefferson

“A vote is like a rifle: its usefulness depends upon the character of the user.” – President Teddy Roosevelt

So everyone get out there and vote (only once please, and only in the district you’re supposed to vote in please, and only if you are a legal citizen of The United States and of legal age please), tomorrow, on November 6th!
