During a televised edition of PBS NEWS HOUR, back in June of 2016, during the presidential election, then President Barack Obama was lecturing an audience in a town hall type of speech, referencing Donald Trump’s promise to bring back manufacturing jobs to the United States.
President Obama: “…And so what we have to do is to make sure that folks are trained for the jobs that are coming in now…, because some of those jobs of the past are just not gonna come back. And when somebody says…, like the person you just mentioned, who I’m not gonna advertise for, that he’s gonna bring all these jobs back, well, how exactly are you gonna do that? There’s no answer to it. He just says, ‘I’m gonna negotiate a better deal.’ Well, what.., how exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have? And usually the answer is…, he doesn’t have an answer.”
President Obama then went on to bash, then, candidate Trump’s claims that international trade and immigration have hurt American voters. He then called Trump’s pledge to roll back regulations “crazy.”
“That will not help us win,” Obama said of Trump. “That is not going to make your lives better.”
So here we have President Obama, lecturing us…, again, about something he has no clue about…, again.
I guess my initial reaction is that President Obama is someone I’d like to play Monopoly with.
It has now been over two years since President Obama confidently spoke these clueless words, and year and a half since Donald Trump became The President.
The economy is now cooking at a higher level than ever before!
The GDP for last quarter has now been adjusted up even higher to 4.2%!
Jobless rates are the lowest in history for any demographic group you want to name!
3.9 million jobs have been created and 400,000 manufacturing specific jobs have been added.
If you ask real nice Mr. Obama, maybe President Trump will show you his magic wand!
