“Heil Zuckerberg!” “Heil, mein Führer!” “Heil FacenBooken!”

According to Rob Price of Business Insider, “Conservative Facebook employees are organizing to attack the liberal company’s ‘intolerant’ culture.”

“More than 100 politically conservative Facebook employees have formed a new internal group to complain that the famously liberal company is “intolerant” of opposing political thought, according to a report from The New York Times.”

(It’s funny how when conservatives have broached and suggested this possibility in the past, they have been “Pooh pooed” and dismissed out of hand.  Well, not so fast, I guess.)

“The new group, ‘FB’ers for Political Diversity,’ was reportedly created in the last week, and came after senior Facebook engineer Brian Amerige wrote in an internal post viewable only by company employees that ‘we are a political monoculture that’s intolerant of different views … we claim to welcome all perspectives, but are quick to attack — often in mobs — anyone who presents a view that appears to be in opposition to left-leaning ideology.’”

(And these are the same people who are currently warning us about midterm election interference, and pointing their fingers at a “covert Russian campaign?  That’s what Jessica Guynn of USA TODAY reported, at least.  Maybe these Facebook “muckety mucks,” that has a nice swampy ring to it, doesn’t it, should look into that big “election interference” mirror and see who’s really doing the interfering?)

“Facebook has grappled with dissenting conservative employees before, and banned an anonymous group used by them in 2016.”

(Facebook obviously does not “get it.”  Hello!  This is America!  You shouldn’t be “grappling” with dissenting employee opinions.  Since when does a company get to force its political views down the throats of its employees!?  Since when does a company get to discriminate against employees whose political views don’t match those of their management team?  Maybe since people marched around shouting “Sieg Heil!?”  Could that maybe be since when Herr Zuckerberg?)

“Silicon Valley, the heart of the American tech industry, is largely liberal, and has been fraught with allegations of bias in Trump’s America.”

(“Fraught with allegations!”  Where there is smoke there usually is fire.)

“In July 2017, Google found itself at the center of a political firestorm (See, I told you you’d find fire!) after engineer James Damore wrote an internal post decrying what he characterized as ‘Google’s Ideological Echo Chamber,’ in which he attacked the company’s diversity efforts.  Some conservatives also allege, that social media firms are deliberately silencing and censoring non-liberal voices on their platforms.”

“Let me control the media and I will turn any nation into a herd of pigs.” – Nazi Propaganda Minister, Joseph Goebbels

On Tuesday, President Trump accused Google of “silencing” conservative news publications in its search results.

USA TODAY went on to report, “The fact is Russia meddled in our 2016 elections.  That is the unambiguous judgment of our intelligence community and, as the president said, we accept the intelligence community’s conclusion,” Vice President Mike Pence said at a government-hosted cyber summit in New York Tuesday. “While no actual votes were changed, any attempt to interfere in our elections is an affront to our democracy, and it will not be allowed.”

(Yes, Mr. Vice President, and the fact, in my opinion, is that many others meddled in the 2016 election as well.  From the Obama administration to the Department of “Justice,” from the FBI to the DNC, from the CIA to the Clinton campaign, and from the biased mainstream media to those who control social media.)

“Facebook has intensified efforts to identify and remove bad actors after the Russian-based Internet Research Agency sowed conflict during and after the presidential campaign.  Lawmakers have sharply criticized Facebook for failing to stop the election interference in 2016.”

Lawmakers are of course giving their obligatory lip service about “who should have done this” and “who should have done that,” while of course doing nothing themselves.

It’s also nice to hear that “Facebook has intensified efforts to identify and remove bad actors.”  The problem is, how do they go about removing themselves?
