“The Heroes Act?”

Calling the democrats’ latest “coronavirus relief legislation” “The Heroes Act” is a disingenuous disgrace.

A more befitting name would be “The Bend Over Act!”

Nancy Pelosi and all of her anti-American cohorts are definitely not letting this crisis go to waste.

acrazy 6

They apparently intend on trying to take full advantage of it in the name of coronavirus relief.

This is definitely one of those “wolf in sheep’s clothing” kind of deals.

According to Robyn Shapiro, on the Economic Liberties website, ‘“This bill delivers charity in place of justice, and Congress should vote it down,’ said Economic Liberties’ Executive Director Sarah Miller. ‘While the need for humanitarian assistance is urgent…, [it] doesn’t address the roll-up of power happening throughout the economy that results in systemic exploitation of workers, consumers, small businesses, taxpayers, and communities.”

“The bill…, bails out corporate lobbyists and corrupt mortgage servicers. It funnels money to monopolistic insurance company executives. And it has no constraints on private equity firms currently using public money from the Federal Reserve to cherry pick corporate assets on the cheap.”

“Our economy is being restructured whether we like it or not,’ added Miller.”

“Problematic provisions in the bill include:”

“A Corporate Lobbyist Bailout: The bill makes Paycheck Protection Program funds available to 501(c)6 trade associations, which is the institutional vehicle for corporate lobbying.”

“A Dark Money Group Bailout: The bill extends Paycheck Protection Program funds available to 501(c)4 trade associations, which is the institutional vehicle for dark money political spending.”

“Tax Cut for the Wealthy: This bill includes a repeal of the State and Local Tax Deduction, which primarily benefits the wealthy.”

Yes, this provision primarily benefits states and cities with extremely high taxes, such as New York, California and Illinois.  Oh, and what a coincidence…, these are all blue states through and through.

“Bailout of Mortgage Providers: This bill extends Federal aid to mortgage providers, who were the thinly capitalized entities at fault for the foreclosure crisis. These providers have fought attempts at reform of their industry to make their business safer and are now demanding a no-strings-attached bailout.”

Oh, yes, please…, let’s not forget to “bailout” all of our impoverished mortgage providers!  Excuse me please while I go throw up!

“Subsidies for Health Insurance Monopolies.”

Insurance companies…, another group of money grubbers, who should be the last ones to get any help from anyone…, much less the very people they screw on a regular basis…, the taxpayers!

So, let’s quickly recap those beneficiaries of “The Heroes Act,” of which we are so fond: lobbyists, mortgage providers, insurance companies and elitist and wealthy liberals.

And these “problematic provisions in the bill” are just the tip of the iceberg.

According to Lisa Mascaro of the Associated Press, in the Philadelphia Examiner, “House Speaker Nancy Pelosi unveiled a more than $3 trillion coronavirus aid package Tuesday, providing nearly $1 trillion for states and cities [including $915 billion in flexible aid which can be spent for any purpose], “hazard pay” for essential workers and a new round of cash payments to individuals.”

acrazy 8

So, 33% of all of this money would go to states and cities.

‘“We must think big, for the people now,’ Pelosi said from the speaker’s office at the Capitol. She said, ‘Not acting is the most expensive course.’”

Ya…, we know what “people” you’re talking about, and it ain’t “We The People!”

“The bill will offer a fresh round of $1,200 direct cash aid to individuals, increased to up to $6,000 per household, and launches a $175 billion housing assistance fund (5.8%) to help pay rents and mortgages.”

According to the Tax Foundation.org website, that would amount to $667 billion – $915 billion.

That’s less…, way less than a third of the relief money here.

Be still my heart!

Some of us will be lucky enough to get $1,200.  Woohoo!  Please Nancy…, throw down a few more crumbs to all of us peons.

Oh, and new “housing assistance fund!”  How exactly does someone get some of that money and what hoops must one jump through to get it?

So, we’ve got a trillion dollars going to states and cities, somewhere south of a trillion going to the crumb crunchers…, which leaves over a trillion to go where?

“It [the bill] adds a 15% increase for food stamps, and for businesses, it provides an employee retention tax credit,” if your business is fortunate enough to survive at all.

“There’s $200 billion (6.7%) in ‘hazard pay’ for essential workers [in] the front lines of the crisis.”

I really have a hard time seeing any of our truly “essential workers” ever getting any of this money.

“There are other new resources, including $25 billion for the U.S. Postal Service.”

There is $10 billion allocated for the 2020 Census.

And $10 billion set aside for the National Endowment for the Arts.

Hey…, artists can get the virus too you know!

acrazy 5

“For the November election, the bill provides $3.6 billion to help local officials prepare for the challenges of voting during the pandemic.”  This translates to $3.6 billion to push  for voting by mail.

“The popular Payroll Protection Program, which has been boosted in past bills, would see another $10 billion to ensure under-served businesses and nonprofit organizations have access to grants through a disaster loan program.”

So, for all of the struggling small businesses, the democrats only allocate $10 billion, or 0.3%.

Wow…, what a relief!

“For hospitals and other health care providers, there’s another $100 billion (3.3%) infusion to help cover costs and additional help for hospitals serving low-income communities.”

“There’s another $600 million in funding to tackle the issue of rapid spread of the virus in state and federal prisons.”

Is this really a $600 million problem?

This “Heroes Act” spends a lot of time covering the concerns of illegal immigrants, amnesty for said illegal immigrants, concerns about legal immigrants, and especially those in the medical field…, even though many of the current doctors and nurses are being furloughed from their jobs.

Then we have all of the concern surrounding marijuana…, an integral part of coronavirus relief!

The word “cannabis” is mentioned 68 times in this legislation.

Really?

“Covid-19” is mentioned only 24 times!

In any regard, this “Heroes Act” can be found in all of its glory out on the doc.house.gov website.  Check it out for yourself.

So, to our list of favorite beneficiaries of “The Heroes Act,” which already contains: lobbyists, mortgage providers, insurance companies and elitist and wealthy liberals…, let’s add: irresponsible state and city liberal governments,

I’m not kidding about any of this.

“Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer warned that if [President] Trump and congressional Republicans ‘slow walk’ more aid they will be repeating President Herbert Hoover’s ‘tepid’ response to the Great Depression.”

Sure Chucky!  We all remember President Hoover!

NOT!

And not many of us can relate to The Great Depression either.

I don’t think The President or the republicans have any problem with any real “aid” regarding the coronavirus situation…, it’s all the other garbage they have an issue with.

‘“To those who would suggest a pause, I would say the hunger doesn’t take a pause, the rent doesn’t take a pause,’ Pelosi said late Monday on MSNBC. ‘We have a big need. It’s monumental.’”

Thank you for all of your hollow and underhanded words as well, Nancy.

The only this “monumental” here is the monumental nature of your idiotic, socialistic, desires.
