Strange but True!

This is what sand looks like under a microscope!

There are more stars in space than there are grains of sand on every beach on Earth.  It’s true!  Think about it.

Time-wise, Cleopatra lived closer to the invention of the iPhone than she did to the building of the Great Pyramids.

Russia has a larger surface area than Pluto.

Saudi Arabia imports camels from Australia. Say what?!

You are twice as likely to be killed by a vending machine as you are by a shark. Don’t look for “vending machine week” on the Discovery Channel anytime soon, however.

Not once in the Humpty Dumpty nursery rhyme does it mention that he’s an egg. Humpty Dumpty really cracks me up! Sorry.

There are more fake flamingos in the world (mostly in Florida) than real flamingos.

If you dug a hole to the center of the Earth and dropped a rock down, it would take 42 minutes to reach the bottom.

The amount of water on earth never increases or decreases, it just gets moved around by evaporation and rain. The probability of you drinking a glass of water that contains a molecule of water that also passed through a dinosaur is almost 100%. Hmmm.

Babe Ruth wore a cabbage leaf under his cap to keep him cool. He changed it every 2 innings. Time sure do change!

One third of the land in the United States is owned by our federal or state governments.

If you see a statue in a park (these are becoming more and more rare) of a person on a horse, and the horse has both front legs in the air, the person died in battle; if the horse has one front leg in the air, the person died as a result of wounds received in battle; if the horse has all four legs on the ground, the person died of natural causes. Now you know!

Michael Jordan makes more money from Nike each year than all the Nike factory workers in Asia combined. Swoosh!

I’m calling it “The Big Waaa Waaa!”

Distraught liberals are planning a “cry in” on the anniversary of Election Day 2016, November 8th, in an attempt to vent their frustrations.

The event is really being called “Scream helplessly at the sky on the anniversary of the election.” That’s catchy…, not (I totally like my name for it better!).  Those attending are expected to do just that, just literally stand there and scream into the sky.  That’s funny, just like liberal policies; it might feel good, but it really doesn’t accomplish anything!

The organizer, Johanna Schulman, told Newsweek, “This administration has attacked everything about what it means to be American. Who wouldn’t feel helpless every day?” My answer would be, “People that don’t make it a habit of feeling helpless would not feel helpless.”

So far, Boston, Austin and Denver are planning on holding events.

I really wish I had the time to go to one of these places and witness the whining in person. Now that would be entertainment!

A Mysterious Object from Deep Space passed through our Solar System.

The object, named C/2017U1, was first observed about a month ago. It was seen moving through space by the PanSTARRS1 telescope system in Hawaii. This system is a combination of multiple telescopes and cameras that specialize in identifying fast moving objects, like asteroids, comets, etc.

The object is moving very fast. It was moving at 16 miles per second (57,600 mph) when it was first observed. In comparison, our Voyager probes are travelling about half that fast. It is also in what appears to be a somewhat extreme orbit. Extreme enough not to actually be an orbit, in fact.

Observations published by the by the International Astronomical Union’s Minor Planet Center (MPC) suggest it could have come from deep space. If further observations confirm the unusual nature of this orbit, this object may be the first clear case of an interstellar “visitor.”

It was 14.9 million miles away from Earth (a little closer than Venus is to us) as it flashed past us on October 14. View the believed path of the object by clicking on the hyperlink below:

http://orbitsimulator.com/gravitySimulatorCloud/simulations/1508916436979_C2017U1.html

The object was only actually spotted after it was flung back out towards the stars by our Sun. How scientists know the object made a swing around our sun, if they didn’t spot it until after the event, is beyond me. In addition, if it did swing around our Sun, it seems like it must have had to come in at a pretty precise course (kind of like our astronauts “slingshotting” around our moon to return to Earth).

Apparently the object came within 23.5 million miles of The Sun (The closest planet to the Sun, Mercury, is 36 million miles away.) before its momentum and the Sun’s gravity hurled it back outward. Normally such a close pass of the Sun would be fatal for any object, but C/2017U1 was travelling too fast for the Sun’s heat to consume it.

According to these astronomers, the object appears to have come from the direction of the star Vega, in the constellation Lyra. And its path did not indicate the curved ellipse typical of regularly returning comets.

Best guesstimates make the object about 500 feet in diameter, or about the same size as a US Naval Guided Missile Destroyer.

Vega is a relatively close neighbor of our Sun at 25 light years distance. At the speed the object is travelling, it would take about 1.7 million years to cross the interstellar divide.

Regardless of what the object is, it was an incredibly rare event.

Bill & Hillary’s Amazing Money Machine!

This sounds funny, but it really isn’t. It is amazing, however. Please sit down and prepare to learn all about “Bill and Hillary’s Amazing (amazingly corrupt, insidious and deceitful) Money Machine!”

We have heard democrats and the complicit, biased, lamestream media voice their concern about Russian interference, and the influence of other foreign countries on our government. Well, they need look no further than the Clinton’s and their Clinton Foundation. Let’s see who is “greasing” the Clinton’s money machine, and who expects (“expected,” since Hillary lost) a return on their investments.

Major Clinton Foundation Donors:

Donations larger than $25,000,000

The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation – CIFF is headquartered in London. This group supposedly supports children in Africa and India.  Why would they feel the need to give the Clintons more than $25 million?  You could help an awful lot of kids with that money.

UNITAID – This foundation has ties to Switzerland, France, Brazil, The United Kingdom, Norway and Chile. This group claims to benefit children with tuberculosis.  Again, why would they feel the need to give the Clintons more than $25 million?  And again, you could help an awful lot of kids with that money.

Donations from $10,000,001 to $25,000,000

AUSAID – This is an Australian agency dedicated to various types of “international development.”

COPRESIDA – This is supposedly an anti-AIDS agency, headquartered in The Dominican Republic.

The Radcliffe Foundation, Frank Giustra CEO – We’ll discuss more about Frank a little later, but The Radcliffe Foundation desires to alleviate poverty and is concerned with the welfare, public health, and education of children. Their website claims, “100% of your donations go to help those in need.”  I guess that would include the Clinton’s!

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – They wouldn’t expect any special considerations, would they?

The ELMA Foundation – Another group supposedly focused on helping children in Africa. These kids in Africa must really be rolling in the money.

Donations from $5,000,001 to $10,000,000

Government of Norway – What?

The Wasserman Foundation – This foundation funds education, the arts and “global initiatives.”

Donations from $1,000,001 to $5,000,000

Absolute Return for Kids (ARK) – Originally set up by “leaders of the alternative investment industry,” whatever that is. ARK is an international organization that also aims to help with the education African and Indian children.  Again with the African children?

Sheikh Mohammed H. Al-Amoudi – Saudi Arabian and Ethiopian ties.

Nasser Al-Rashid – Saudi Arabian ties.

Clinton Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative – Launched by Frank Giustra (a Canadian) and Bill Clinton. Claims to be focused on helping economic growth in Latin America.

Additionally, according to NYTimes.com, “At the heart of the tale (the selling off of 1/5 of America’s uranium) are several men, leaders of the Canadian mining industry, who have been major donors to the charitable endeavors of former President Bill Clinton and his family. Members of that group built, financed and eventually sold off to the Russians a company that would become known as Uranium One.

Beyond mines in Kazakhstan that are among the most lucrative in the world, the sale gave the Russians control of one-fifth of all uranium production capacity in the United States. Since uranium is considered a strategic asset, with implications for national security, the deal had to be approved by a committee composed of representatives from a number of United States government agencies. Among the agencies that eventually signed off was the State Department, then headed by Mr. Clinton’s wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation. Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors. Other people with ties to the company made donations as well.”

And we’re investigating President Trump’s ties to Russia?

After looking at this list of donors, is it any surprise that America’s interests have been taking a back seat to everyone else in the world? When it comes to Liberals, Democrats and the rest of “the swamp,” all we get is lip service, while they all receive boatloads of money and “political considerations.” Were there any donors listed with America’s interests in mind?

Oh, and since Hillary lost, all of these donors (investors), who thought they were betting on a sure thing, are getting zero return on their investment. That means there are a lot of upset wealthy and powerful people out there in the world right now.

As Americans, we should all be thankful we finally have a President in the White House that is looking out for America and us…, the American people.

Why does “the swamp” hate Donald Trump so much?

Q: Who is more dangerous that a President that doesn’t owe anybody anything (except average American people)?

A: No One.

Why is “the swamp” so hell-bent on the destruction of President Donald Trump? Well, I’m going to tell you. But first, let’s get some definitions and facts straight.

Q: Who is “the swamp?”

A: Simply put, “the swamp” includes anyone who exists to perpetuate government control, and their own place in “the swamp,” even at the expense of American and/or the American People.

Taking a closer look, “the swamp” is made-up of establishment politicians (those who have made a life-long job out of being a congressperson or senator), people entrenched in various government bureaucracies (“the deep state’), those running our intelligence agencies, the mainstream media, many Union bosses and higher ups, most lobbyists, special interest groups, many in the Educational system, and rich liberals who support and fund all of the above.

Q: Why is a President who doesn’t owe anyone anything (except average American people) so dangerous?

A: Because “the swamp” (see definition above) has no control over him or her. And control, which equates to money, is what it is ALL about to “the swamp.”

Q: Why do I keep saying that President Trump doesn’t owe anybody anything (except average American people)? His campaign contributions must be somewhat comparable to Hillary Clinton’s, aren’t they?

A: No, they’re not comparable at all. But don’t take my word for it. Let’s take a look.

Q: How much of their own money did the candidates spend on their campaigns?

A: Donald Trump a little over $66 million, Hillary about $1.5 million.

Q: Ok, but what about campaign contributions?

A: Here are the “top contributors” (over $2.5 million) to each of the campaigns:

First let’s look at the people Hillary Clinton owes:

Now let’s take a look at the people Donald Trump owes:

(Note: All 3 of these went to Political Action Committees which Trump did not control, so technically he doesn’t really owe anybody.)

Is the difference clear enough now?

Stay tuned for my next blog, which will delve into Hillary’s contributors just a little bit more.  I think I’ll title it, “As the stomach turns!”

All Hail CNN’s Conquering Heroes!

According to CNN (which means, prepare for a load of biased, overly-dramatic bullshit), Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tennessee.) and Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Arizona) “may one day be remembered as heroes who pleaded with the Republican Party to change a ruinous course, after baring their political souls to assail the President on Tuesday, accusing him of trashing the values and norms on which American democracy was built.”

Oh… the pain of it all!

Both of these “pillars of the Republican party,’” according to CNN (remember the definition), have accused President Trump of “debasing” the country with his “untruths,” “name-calling” and “attempted bullying.”

Oh my God, how awful! Name-calling! Bullying! Untruths! Whoever heard of such things in American politics?!

I would respectfully request that these two senators put their “big boy” pants on, and represent the voters of their states, as opposed to being “mouthpieces” for the “the swamp.”

They have both stated they will not seek re-election next year because of this horrific behavior by The President and the new “nastier” tone of American politics. Really? Most politicians don’t give up until they’re getting “perp-walked” in orange jumpsuits.

I personally feel they will not be seeking re-election because they know they about to get run over by the “Trump train,” and I would not be surprised to learn about some other “challenges” that these two senators have encountered that would make their running for re-election impossible.

You heard it here first folks!

PS. – Sen. Jeff Flake is from Snowflake, Arizona. You can’t make this stuff up!

What do all of these quotes by liberal politicians, the biased lamestream media and various Hollywood sources have in common?

“Resistance to this regime is a patriotic act.”

“The first six months of this presidency seemed almost calculated to poke its proverbial finger in Europe’s eye on issue after issue, from global warming to missile defense, to peace efforts in Iraq, the Balkans, the Middle East and the Koreas, to steel imports, to food additives, even to tax cheating.”

“He’s probably the least qualified person ever to be nominated by a major party.

“Did I mention the President is a lying bag of crap?”

“The President is like a bad comic working the crowd. A moron – if you’ll pardon the expression.”

“The President is in trouble. His approval rating has never been lower. He says that he hasn’t seen numbers this low since he took his SATs.”

“He’s embarrassing. He’s not my president. He will never be my president.”

“I have been disappointed in almost everything he has done. I hoped that coming out of an uncertain election, he would reach out to people of diverse views, not just Democrats and Republicans, but others who had different points of view. I thought he would be a moderate leader, but he has been very strictly conforming to some of the more conservative members of his administration, his vice president and his secretary of defense in particular.”

“It’s funny to watch this clueless man go through the motions.”

“When I see an American flag flying, it’s a joke. This present government in America, I just find disgusting.”

“The international community thinks we have lost our minds.”

“In this fight for our cherished freedoms, those cherished freedoms should definitely be the first thing to go. Sieg heil, y’all.”

“The only difference between Hitler and our President is that Hitler was fairly elected.”

Nope. These are not quotes about President Trump.

These quotes were all about George W. Bush from over ten years ago!

The more things change the more they stay the same.

Like they say, “You could look it up.”

Is the Circus Coming to Town?

I realize that a lot of Circus and Carnival people winter down in Florida, but Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, really?  If you look at, and listen to, this clown, (If you’re reading this and you really are a clown, “I’m sorry, but I hate clowns, and I have a right to hate clowns if I want.”) you have to ask yourself, who elects these people?  I am ashamed to say that she hails from the state that is my home away from home, Florida.  Her district (Florida’s 24th District) covers a large chunk of Miami.  It has been called, “The most heavily Democratic district in both Florida and the entire Southeastern United States.”  Well, that explains a lot.

And, we shouldn’t really be surprised by any of her comments. She has as long a history as you can have bashing President Trump.  I believe she lives by Maxine Water’s book, “An Idiot’s Guide to Being in Congress.”

It is disgraceful, however, to politicize the death of an American soldier and take advantage of a grieving family in an attempt to attack President Trump.  And the biased lamestream media is just playing right along, of course.

Ms. Wilson actually said, “This might wind up to be Mr. Trump’s Benghazi.”

Sooooo, are you inferring that the biased lamestream media is just going to ignore it?”

Please just zip it 43!

During the eight years President Obama was in office, George W. Bush kept his mouth shut. Now in President Trump’s first year, George W. feels the need to gives us his two cents.  Boy, “the swamp” must really be getting desperate!  We can rate the speech by the glowing reviews given it by Politico, CNN, The Washington Post, and The New York Times.  That’s really all we need to know, but I thought it would be entertaining to share a few lowlights from the speech (along with a translation from “swampese” into English)!  Here we go!

“We are gathered in the cause of liberty. This is a unique moment. The great democracies face new and serious threats, yet seem to be losing confidence in their own calling and competence. Economic, political and national security challenges proliferate, and they are made worse by the tendency to turn inward. The health of the democratic spirit itself is at issue. And the renewal of that spirit is the urgent task at hand.”

Translation: Red alert, red alert, the political establishment (the swamp) is losing control and we must make sure we get back in control at all costs.

“In recent decades, public confidence in our institutions has declined. Our governing class has often been paralyzed in the face of obvious and pressing needs. The American dream of upward mobility seems out of reach for some who feel left behind in a changing economy. Discontent deepened and sharpened partisan conflicts. Bigotry seems emboldened. Our politics seems more vulnerable to conspiracy theories and outright fabrication.”

Translation: Even though I just pointed out that none of this is Trump’s fault, and that our problems have been building over the last 20 years, and have been kicked down the road, we’re going to blame it all on Trump anyway.

“Finally, the Call to Action calls on the major institutions of our democracy, public and private, to consciously and urgently attend to the problem of declining trust.”

Translation: The people aren’t falling for our bullshit anymore, and we have to figure out a way to change that.

“For example, our democracy needs a media that is transparent, accurate and fair. Our democracy needs religious institutions that demonstrate integrity and champion civil discourse. Our democracy needs institutions of higher learning that are examples of truth and free expression. In short, it is time for American institutions to step up and provide cultural and moral leadership for this nation.”

Translation: We don’t really want these things. We just want the people to believe that we do, and we want the people to behave as if these things are the case.

Here are couple quotes that deal with politics that I particularly like!

“Politicians should wear sponsor jackets like NASCAR drivers. Then we’d know who owns them.” – Robin Williams

“So, if we lie to the government it’s a felony. But if they lie to us it’s just politics.” – Bill Murray

Teddy Roosevelt Telling it True.

I have always admired Teddy Roosevelt, even though we haven’t shared any time on this Earth.

He was the 26th President of our country, 1901-1909, and he was an amazing man and an amazing President.  His story is worth learning about.  I obviously am not alone in this belief, as he shares room on Mount Rushmore with Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln.

I stumbled across a recording of President Roosevelt (please take a listen at https://mrericksonrules.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/teddy.mp3), and I was able to make a connection between him and our current President, President Trump.  The two have a lot in common, but especially they have in common that they were/are both a part of the Republican Party, but really more their own man, and more Independent than anything else.  Also, neither of them were/are beholden to special interests, and they had/have the best interests of America and the American people at heart.

Please check out Teddy’s inaugural address as well Inaugural Address of Teddy Roosevelt.  If you aren’t already an admirer of his, hopefully you will be.  I have a feeling that when it’s all said and done, most of us will be admirers of President Trump as well.

“To anger a conservative, lie to him. To anger a liberal, tell him the truth. – Theodore Roosevelt
