Hello Poynter Institute!  It’s your turn on my own version of the popular game show “What’s My Line!?

A self-stated goal of MrEricksonRules.com is to “challenge hypocrisy and media bias, while dragging them out into the sunlight.”

Well, Poynter Institute…, consider yourself dragged!poynter 2

I had not even been aware of The Poynter Institute before reading an article by Liam Quinn of Fox News about The Poynter Institute being forced to scrap an “unreliable news” list which targeted conservative news outlets.

Well, I’m aware of it now, and you soon will be as well.

According to the article, “A journalism watchdog has been forced to scrap a list of ‘unreliable’ news sources because, as it turns out, the list wasn’t reliable.”

Just a helpful interjection here…, in the past, when an organization was described as a “watchdog,” that was perceived as a positive and a noble thing, looking out for the good of everyday people.

The term “watchdog” has since been co-opted by liberal organizations everywhere to somehow try and give the impression of a fair and just operation…, which of course they aren’t.  The only ones these people are looking out for is themselves.

“The Poynter Institute, a journalism nonprofit organization, initially released a list of more than 500 ‘unreliable’ news outlets purportedly ‘built from pre-existing databases compiled by journalists, fact-checkers and researchers around the country.’”

“But a number of prominent conservative-leaning outlets were included in the ‘unreliable’ category, including The Washington Examiner, Washington Free Beacon, Daily Caller and other publications that employ scores of journalists covering Congress, elections, the White House and more.”

poynter 6

“The index was created with the help of an employee for the Southern Poverty Law Center.”

Ohhhh…, well why didn’t you reference the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) in the first place?!  Please refer to some of my prior blogs about the gold ole’ SPLC and its astonishing disingenuousness.

Anyway…, the article continues, “Poynter’s managing editor, Barbara Allen, posted a mea culpa [An acknowledgment of one’s fault or error, or as in this case, an elaborate excuse that disseminates the blame.] Thursday as the backlash built.”

‘“On Tuesday, April 30, Poynter posted a list of 515 “unreliable” news websites, built from pre-existing databases compiled by journalists, fact-checkers and researchers around the country. Our aim was to provide a useful tool for readers to gauge the legitimacy of the information they were consuming,’ the statement read.”

Translation: We just posted a list of conservative websites and resources that liberal media sheep everywhere already were aware of.  Our aim was to try and expand the users of our “hit list” to the public in general.

‘“Soon after we published, we received complaints from those on the list and readers who objected to the inclusion of certain sites, and the exclusion of others. We began an audit to test the accuracy and veracity of the list, and while we feel that many of the sites did have a track record of publishing unreliable information, our review found weaknesses in the methodology.’”

Translation: Soon after we did this we got busted.  Being a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization (just like The Southern Poverty Law Center by the way), we are supposed to be nonpartisan, so we have to make sure we keep up the appearance of being nonpartisan even though we’re not.  So we pretended like we carefully reviewed our list, then came up with some lame excuses as to why the lists seemed to be partisan.

‘“We detected inconsistencies between the findings of the original databases that were the sources for the list and our own rendering of the final report.’”

Translation: We are now going to just straight up lie in an effort to make an excuse for ourselves.

poynter 7

“It continued: ‘Therefore, we are removing this “unreliable sites list” until we are able to provide our audience a more consistent and rigorous set of criteria. The list was intended to be a starting place for readers and journalists to learn more about the veracity of websites that purported to offer news; it was not intended to be definitive or all encompassing.”

Translation: We were not able to get away with putting our list out there this time, but we’ll do a better job of making it available next time, while getting away with it somehow.

‘“We regret that we failed to ensure that the data was rigorous before publication, and apologize for the confusion and agitation caused by its publication. We pledge to continue to hold ourselves to the highest standards.’”

Translation: We are very sorry and disappointed we got caught, and we pledge to make a better effort to not get caught next time.  Not getting caught is the highest of our high standards here at The Poynter Institute.

There…, was that helpful?  I hope it was.

So, now what exactly is The Poynter Institute?

Again…, let’s hear about The Poynter Institute in their own words, according to their own website, with a little interpretation by myself.

“The Poynter Institute has grown from a storefront in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida, to the world’s most influential school for journalists.”

(Ahhh, the old rags to riches story.  How inspiring!  But they didn’t do it alone.  The list of major contributors is a virtual “who’s who” of liberal foundations, funds and trusts.  Trying to control “the media” and brainwash “journalists” everywhere does not come cheap.  Oh, by the way, The Poynter Institute is designated as a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, but they say they own The Tampa Bay Times newspaper.  How does that work?  Just sayin’.)

poynter 3

(Pretty nice digs for a non-profit, huh?)

poynter 4

“Poynter is an instructor, innovator, convener and resource for anyone who aspires to engage and inform citizens. We serve not only 21st-century democracies, but those in corners of the globe where people who honor freedom and self-government struggle against tyrants and autocrats.”

(We want to enlist you and guide you through our liberal propaganda program.)

“By supporting the Poynter Institute, you fortify journalism’s role in a free society. Poynter champions freedom of expression, civil dialogue and compelling journalism that helps citizens participate in healthy democracies. We prepare journalists worldwide to hold powerful people accountable and promote honest information in the marketplace of ideas.”

(Poynter champions freedom of expression, except when that expression does not agree with their expression, and we prepare our fascists in training to attack conservatives at every turn and to try and dictate our socialist narrative on everyone.)

“Poynter’s Brands:”

(Poynter’s associated liberal indoctrination services:)

“News University – Poynter’s News University brings Poynter training to users around the world with the world’s largest online journalism curriculum.”

(Our way of spreading our liberal and socialist agenda to budding propagandists everywhere!)

“International Fact-checking Network – The International Fact-Checking Network brings together more than 60 fact-checkers worldwide, promoting best practices and exchanges.”

(This network makes sure no one deviates from the prescribed liberal talking points or narratives, and attempts to spin “facts” in favor of liberals, liberal politicians and liberal causes everywhere.)

“MediaWise – aims to teach 1 million teenagers how to sort fact from fiction through social media and our teen fact-checking network.”

(This particularly insidious resource targets teenagers with the “proper” indoctrination of liberal thought.)

“PolitiFact – is the largest political fact-checking news organization in the United States and winner of the Pulitzer Prize. It has published more than 16,000 fact-checks on its Truth-O-Meter.”

(PolitiFact is the lone resource they can point to as being anywhere near legitimate and somewhat fair.)

“As public trust in the media dissipates, we are increasingly expanding our mission to reach out to communities and have conversations about finding the truth. We must be relevant to journalists and non-journalists alike and hold our staff and other media accountable.”

(As public trust in the media dissipates…?  But how could this be?  How could the public trust in the media be dissipating with all of the valiant and noble efforts of the Poynter Institute?  I guess “the public” is smarter than you gives us credit for, huh?)

“Each year, Poynter trains over 100,000 journalists from more than 70 countries in person and online. Since the start of our online education initiative in 2005, we’ve taught journalists in virtually every country in the world.”

(God help us all.)

poynter 8

Their “code of ethics” is quite extensive, but obviously not worth the paper it’s printed on.

One of their highlighted taglines on their website says, “Poynter teaches journalists to tell stories the world needs to hear.”  Which in essence means that Poynter teaches its media minions to spread their approved liberal propaganda everywhere.

Well…, there you have it!

The Poynter Institute in all of its “liberal propaganda machine” glory!

Remember…, stay thirsty my friends…, but don’t drink the liberal Kool Aide!  Especially the Kool-Aide The Poynter Institute is serving up!

Oh, Hillary…, lying for you is as easy as breathing, isn’t it?

When talking with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, Hillary Clinton said the most important thing she learned from the Mueller report was “the Russians were successful” in sowing “discord and divisiveness.”

First of all, “Crooked Hillary,” you, yourself, did not read one word of the Mueller report, so you actually learned nothing from it.

Then you, “Crooked Hillary,” suggest it was the Russians who were “successful in sowing discord and divisiveness” during the 2016 election, when in all actuality it was you, “Crooked Hillary” and your crooked partners in crime!  You know…, the same people you gave money to so they could give money to Christopher Steele to collude with the Russians and help to fabricate the infamous dossier.  You know…, the real colluders with the Russians…, You, “Crooked Hillary,” the DNC, the company Fusion GPS and Nellie Ohr, the wife of Justice Department official Bruce Ohr.  This is all common knowledge now, except many Americans are not aware of it thanks to the complicit “biased, liberal propaganda, fake news media.”

lying hillary 1

The next thing that oozes from “Crooked Hillary’s” mouth is, “China, if you’re listening, why don’t you get Trump’s tax returns?”

“Turnabout,” she hypothetically suggests to MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, “might be fair play.”

Then again it might not.

maddow

You, “Crooked Hillary,” wouldn’t be inciting operatives of the Chinese government to illegally obtain and distribute information about the current President of the United States, would you?

Because if you were, I would consider that a treasonous act and you, “Crooked Hillary,” an accessory to that crime…, another crime…, another crime in a long list of crimes.

lying hillary 12

According to Bianca Quilantan for Politico, “Hillary Clinton on Wednesday night suggested that if the Justice Department was going to let Russia get away with interfering in the 2016 presidential election, it might be OK if one of the 2020 Democratic candidates enlisted China for help.”

lying hillary 11

Speaking again to Rachel Maddow on her MSNBC show, ‘“Imagine, Rachel, that you had one of the Democratic nominees for 2020 on your show, and that person said, you know, the only other adversary of ours who is anywhere near as good as the Russians is China,’ Clinton told Maddow. ‘So why should Russia have all the fun? And since Russia is clearly backing Republicans, why don’t we ask China to back us?’”

‘“And not only that, China, if you’re listening, why don’t you get Trump’s tax returns?’ Clinton continued. ‘I’m sure our media would richly reward you.’”

lying hillary 2

I’m sure our “biased, liberal propaganda, fake news media” would reward them too!  Just as long as they don’t come around with dirt on you or the democrats, right!

I’m also sure that China would be more than happy to back the democrats and go back to the Obama days when they were getting away with economic murder all of those one-sided trade deals.

“Clinton said the No. 1 thing she learned from reading special counsel Robert Mueller’s partially redacted report (which she didn’t read) was that Russia conducted a “sweeping and systemic interference” in the 2016 election and has not been held accountable. And that she worries there is reason to believe Russia will do it again.”

Extra!  Extra!  Read all about it!  Russia has been trying to interfere, and interfering, in our elections for like the last 70 years!  This is nothing new and I’m sure they won’t quit trying now.

Mrs. Clinton, “Crooked Hillary,” is just one giant and continuous misinformation machine.  In other words, lies roll off of her tongue like water flows over a waterfall.

lying hillary 5

“When asked about Attorney General William Barr’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee earlier Wednesday, Clinton said that ‘calling for his resignation makes perfect sense.’”

‘“I think that the Democrats on the committee did a good job today in exposing that he is the president’s defense lawyer,’ Clinton said. ‘He is not the attorney general of the United States in the way that he has conducted himself.’ Clinton added that House Democrats ‘have every reason to’ find Barr in contempt.”

lying hillary 13

Standing up for the truth, the law and common sense does not make you “the President’s defense lawyer,” Hillary.

You, “Crooked Hillary,” feel that “calling for his [Attorney General Barr’s] resignation makes perfect sense.”  Oh, you mean like when Obama’s Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, met privately with your husband, on a plane, sitting on the tarmac, in the middle of their investigation of you?  Is that what you mean?

lying hillary 3

lying hillary 7

‘“But this is part of their [“their” meaning the whole right-wing conspiracy thing I guess] whole technique to divert attention from what the real story is,’ Clinton continued. ‘The real story is the Russians interfered in our election. And Trump committed obstruction of justice. That’s the real story.’”

Wrong again “liar, liar, pants on fire!”  “The real story” is that you and your partners in crime fabricated the fairy tale dossier and used it as a basis for attempting to frame President Trump, and his people, with colluding with the Russians…, which is exactly what you and your friends did.

That’s “the real story.”

LOCK HER UP!  LOCK HER UP!

Hillary Clinton says, “Anyone other than Trump would have been indicted for obstruction.”

No.

Oh no you didn’t!

Please tell me that those words did not come out of your lying, corrupt pie hole, Mrs. Clinton!

hillary summit 1

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, “These democrats just have NO shame.”

They will lie straight to your face and smile while they’re doing it.

Which she did while speaking at the TIME 100 Summit, in New York, Tuesday, April 23, 2019.

According to Alex Pappas for Fox News, “Hillary Clinton said Tuesday she believes Donald Trump would have been indicted in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe if he weren’t president, though stopped short of calling for his impeachment.”

“Clinton, the Democratic nominee for president in 2016, argued during a Q&A session in New York that Mueller’s report ‘could not be clearer’ in making the case Trump tried to obstruct the Russia investigation — even though Mueller did not come to an explicit conclusion on that question.”

Well, I have to agree with you there Hillary.  It “could not be any clearer,” and it’s as clear as mud!

And again…, BELIEVE ME…, if Robert Mueller could have charged President Trump with ANYTHING…, and I mean ANYTHING…, he would have.

She continues by saying, ‘“I think there’s enough there that any other person who had engaged in those acts would certainly have been indicted, but because of the rule in the Justice Department that you can’t indict a sitting president, the whole matter of obstruction was very directly sent to the Congress.’”

I guess Hillary should know.  She is the queen of obstructing justice after all.

hillary summit 2

“Clinton, who was defeated by Trump in the election, said it’s too early to call for Trump’s impeachment.  She said she supports Congress investigating Mueller’s findings ‘based on evidence’ and without a ‘preordained conclusion.’”

We all know democrats never let a little thing like “evidence” get in the way of anything they want to promote.

And a “Preordained conclusion?”

Oh…, you mean like how you were preordained to win the democrat presidential nomination?  And then you and the DNC submarined poor old Bernie Sanders and all of his supporters?

Is that the kind of “preordained conclusion you’re referring to?”

Robert Mueller’s investigation was all backwards and illegitimate.  It was an investigation that was initiated based on a fabricated and a disingenuous document, and paid for by Hillary and the DNC no less.  It was also an investigation that knew what result it wanted before any evidence or proof of a crime was established.

Investigating people in America just for the sake of investigating them is not legal in America.  Typically we have to have an established reason, with supporting evidence, for doing so.

‘“I’m really of the mind that the Mueller report is part of the beginning,’ Clinton said. ‘It’s not the end.’”

Again, I find myself agreeing with Mrs. Clinton’s words but not the nature of her beliefs.

I also believe it is the “beginning,” but the beginning of getting to the bottom of who was behind the initiation of this “witch hunt” of an investigation.

I believe it is the “beginning,” but the beginning of getting to the bottom of who authorized the spying on of a US citizen and an opposition’s campaign.

I believe it is the “beginning,” but the beginning of getting to the bottom of who felt they could take the presidential election into their own hands and attempt to overturn the election results.

I believe it may also be the beginning of making Hillary herself pay for her numerous sins throughout the whole process.

I’ll keep you posted.

Why are so many cities, led by liberal democrats, such “hot messes?”

Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, St. Louis, Memphis, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Minneapolis, just to name a few.

So what do all of these crime-ridden cities have in common?

They all have inept democrat “leadership…,” if you can call it leadership.

history 7

And along with that inept democrat “leadership” comes inept democrat policies, and a total disregard for any kind of fiscal responsibility, and a disregard for any kind of responsibility for that matter.

history 3

What we have here is basically idiots leading the ignorant.

This problem is created when the majority of these cities’ populations are made-up of dependent people looking for hand-outs, mostly unskilled workers, and the poorly educated.

As a result, unqualified democrat candidates are elected who have no idea how to solve any of the cities’ problems, nor do they even want to.

history 5

These are the types of candidates this demographic consistently leans towards and supports.

These “leaders” are blissfully ignorant, and more than happy to be “large and in charge” of their dysfunctional fantasy lands, as their “Romes” burn down around them.

history 4

That seems to be the basic “modus operandi” of a socialist form of government.

Barnini Chakraborty for Fox News seems to agree with me when she reports that, “Baltimore [is] struggling with soaring crime, drugs and inept political leaders.”

“Charm City [Baltimore] has also been struggling with a crisis of confidence when it comes to its political leaders.”

I’m sure we can all recall the visions of the Baltimore riot during Barack Obama’s reign, how he chose to ignore it, and how the mayor at that time chose to let the rioters “express themselves” by burning down half of the city.

history 9

history 11

history 8

history 2

“Last week, federal agents raided the homes and City Hall offices of Baltimore’s embattled Mayor Catherine Pugh, widening an investigation into whether she used bulk sales of her self-published children’s book to disguise kickbacks. The early-morning searches were just the latest setback for the politically isolated first-term mayor who campaigned on transparency and ending corruption.”

“Republican Gov. Larry Hogan joined a growing group of people who want Pugh to step down and has called on the state prosecutor to investigate allegations of ‘self-dealing’ by Pugh.”

‘“Now more than ever, Baltimore City needs strong and responsible leadership,’ Hogan tweeted Thursday. ‘Mayor Pugh has lost the public trust. She is clearly not fit to lead.  For the good of the city, Mayor Pugh must resign.’”

“Baltimore City Council members echoed the sentiment, and Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot tweeted last month: ‘The Mayor has to resign – now. The people of Baltimore are facing too many serious challenges, as it is, to also deal with such brazen, cartoonish corruption from their chief executive.’”

Yes…, “the mayor has to resign now,” so we can get the next clown in there who will probably be even worse.

“Pugh has been on paid administrative leave for the past month as calls to go grow, but she is hardly the first Baltimore mayor who has faced calls to leave.  Democratic Mayor Sheila Dixon resigned from office in 2010 to save her pension and preserve the possibility of working for the city or state again.  Pugh beat out Dixon by about 3,000 votes to clinch the 2016 Democratic primary.”

“John Dedie, a political science coordinator at the Community College of Baltimore County, told The Associated Press that one of the city’s greatest fears is to be ‘seen as a laughing stock, like Detroit was years ago until the governor of Michigan put it in receivership.’”

Uhh, I think it’s a little too late for that Mr. Dedie.

The new Police Commissioner, Michael Harrison was sworn-in on March 12, and he promised to make Baltimore safer and lead the department through sweeping reforms.

Promises, promises.

“Beverly White, who has lived in the city for more than three decades, told Fox News she has struggled to keep her family safe.”

‘“There have been shootings one after another,’ she said. ‘We’ve had people come here and promise to clean up the streets but nothing happens. People feel unsafe in their neighborhoods. (Harrison) says he’s going to turn things around. It’s a nice thought, but they keep killing people… it’s going to get worse in the summer. It always gets worse in the summer.’”

“To be fair, Harrison inherited a dysfunctional force that’s long been distrusted by many residents. Misconduct by officers and chronically high rates of violent crime are just a handful of systemic failures in Baltimore.”

No…, to be fair, Mr. Harrison knew exactly what he was walking into, and it is obvious that he is in way over his head.

There really is no positive end in sight for these cities.

They’ll all end up bottoming out and declaring bankruptcy, like Detroit, before any hint of positive momentum can begin to be realized.

The more things change the more they remain the same.

“We spend a great deal of time studying history, which, let’s face it, is mostly the history of stupidity.” – Stephen Hawking

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein isn’t good at much…, except saving his own a$$!

…at least for the moment.

According to Nicole Darrah and John Roberts for Fox News, “Former Arkansas Republican Governor Mike Huckabee says Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s critical comments [about] the Russia election interference investigation [and of the Obama administration for their handling of the Russia investigation] is a soft way of saying there was a cover up.”

“Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who frequently found himself in the political crosshairs due to his role in the special counsel’s Russia probe and whose departure has long been expected, submitted his resignation on Monday to President Trump, effective May 11.”

rosenstein 7

“Attorney General William Barr in a statement said Rosenstein served the Justice Department ‘with dedication and distinction.’”

Ugh.  I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

‘“His devotion to the Department and its professionals is unparalleled,’ the statement read. ‘Over the course of his distinguished government career, he has navigated many challenging situations with strength, grace, and good humor.’”

Ahhhhh!  Ok…, that did it…, now I just hurled all over my keyboard!

What is Barr talking about?!

I’m confused.

At times it seems that Attorney General Barr is a pretty “straight shooter,” but then he comes out with this junk regarding Rod Rosenstein, and puts himself back into the “political hack” category.

Let’s just quickly review Mr. Rosenstein’s “distinguished” actions.

Rod Rosenstein was implicated in the FBI surveillance abuses against the Trump campaign in, recently released, declassified memos.

rosenstein 4

Rosenstein was responsible for at least one questionable surveillance warrant (FISA) application, which he signed, knowing full well that information supporting the application was obtained from a partisan anti-Trump dossier funded by Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democrat Party.

According to Saagar Enjeti, a White House Correspondent for The Daily Caller, “President Donald Trump agreed that alleged discussions of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein invoking the 25th Amendment in the days after the firing of former FBI Director James Comey constituted an illegal coup attempt in a Monday morning tweet.”

rosenstein 6

‘“This was an illegal coup attempt on the President of the United States. Dan Bongino on @foxandfriends True! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 18, 2019,’”

“Trump quoted from a Fox and Friends segment by conservative commentator Dan Bongino who reacted to a Sunday night broadcast interview of former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe on CBSNews’ 60 minutes.”

‘“60 Minutes Moment of the Week: Former FBI acting director McCabe says Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein raised the idea of removing President Trump via the 25th Amendment. https://t.co/wkC4AKxGiC pic.twitter.com/UkOb4QbrZh

— 60 Minutes (@60Minutes) February 18, 2019’”

“McCabe detailed two occasions in which Rosenstein raised the prospect of using the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office and even suggested that two cabinet officials would be willing to involve themselves in the scheme.”

The 25th Amendment allows for the removal of the President of the United States if a majority of his Senate-confirmed cabinet believe he is no longer capable of discharging his duties while in office.

“Rosenstein’s discussion of wearing a wire and talk of the 25th Amendment was first reported by The New York Times in September 2018.”

“McCabe also alleges that Rosenstein suggested in a meeting that he would wear a wire into the Oval Office in meetings with Trump. The former FBI deputy director told ‘60 minutes’ in an interview that he took Rosenstein’s suggestion so seriously that he brought the idea up to FBI lawyers who waved off his suggestion.”

“The original New York Times report of Rosenstein’s discussion of wearing a wire into the Oval Office and invoking the 25th Amendment nearly prompted his ouster in September 2018. Trump, however, appeared to accept Rosenstein’s explanation at that the report was exaggerated or not true, and the deputy attorney general was allowed to keep his job.”

“The president changed his tune on Twitter Monday morning, however, indicating he now believes the reports.”

‘“Wow, so many lies by now disgraced acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe. He was fired for lying, and now his story gets even more deranged. He and Rod Rosenstein, who was hired by Jeff Sessions (another beauty), look like they were planning a very illegal act, and got caught…..

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump)’”

rosenstein 1

Rosenstein also took over the Russia investigation after then AG Jeff Sessions recused himself from the investigation.  It was Rosenstein who later appointed Mueller to his post and got the whole “Russian collusion” and President Trump “witch hunt” rolling.

Quite a “distinctive” and “dedicated” career, huh?

William Barr said “His [Rosenstein’s] devotion to the Department and its professionals is unparalleled…”

I would say that his “devotion” was to “the swamp,” and the rest of his treasonous cohorts…, not the Department of Justice.

On his way out, Rosenstein has even defended Attorney General Bill Barr’s handling of the Mueller report.

Also, “Rosenstein was part of a small group of [Justice] department officials who reviewed the document [the Mueller Report] and helped shape its public release. After Mueller didn’t reach a conclusion on whether Trump had obstructed the investigation, Barr and Rosenstein stepped in and determined the evidence wasn’t enough to support such an allegation.”

“In his resignation letter, Rosenstein thanked Trump ‘for the opportunity to serve; for the courtesy and humor you often display in our personal conversations; and for the goals you set in your inaugural address: patriotism, unity, safety, education, and prosperity, because a nation exists to serve its citizens.’”

Oh, oh…, I’m starting to feel a little sick to my stomach again!

“…because a nation exists to serve its citizens,” huh?

And “swampy” federal employees, like yourself, exist to serve themselves and “the swamp.”

rosenstein 3

Rosenstein’s picture should be in the dictionary next to “slimy swamp monster.”

rosenstein 2

I’m glad to see Rosenstein go for now, but hopefully we’ll see him again in the not too distant future, giving up some his cohorts to again save his slimy, treasonous a$$!

rosenstein 5

WINNING!

President Trump should “trump” Congress over the handling of illegal immigrants.

As we watch yet another migrant caravan making its way toward the U.S.-Mexico border, and as we set new records of migrants crossing into the U.S. each month, I believe President Trump should leap frog Congress and propose a solution to this illegal immigration crisis.

The solution I am suggesting is definitely not the best solution, but it’s a solution that I believe could garner support on most sides of this issue.

pathway 1

It is widely accepted that our current border crisis “falls squarely on the hands of Congress,” according to the National Border Patrol Council.

Greg Norman for Fox News reports that, ‘“The record number of migrants coming to the U.S. border is no accident,’ National Border Patrol Council Vice President Hector Garza says.”

pathway 8

“The massive migrant caravan said to be making its way toward the U.S.-Mexico border is a result of Congress ‘not acting and continuing to encourage illegal immigration,’ according to a border agent and top union official.”

Garza also says that migrants are taking advantage of the way the U.S. immigration system processes asylum seekers in order to gain entry to the country.

pathway 2

“President Trump is doing everything in his power to be able to stop this crisis but Democrats and some activists are just doing everything behind his back to undermine his authority,” he told the hosts of Fox & Friends.

Realistically, and with there not being much hope of radically changing our current pathetic immigration laws anytime in the near future, we need to come up with strategy and a plan that is doable.

Will everyone love it?

No.

Will everyone hate it?

No.

So what is it?

Ok…, here we go.

First of all we have to face some facts.

There are currently tens of millions of illegal immigrants already in our country, with tens of thousands more joining them every month.

For the ones we actually catch crossing our border, our current laws don’t allow us to do much more than take their names, schedule a hearing date (which are backlogged for like 50 years) and let them loose into the country.

The ones we don’t catch (a number that is probably much greater than those we do catch) are just “out there” in our country doing who knows what.

We also have to understand that 99.9% of these illegals are never going to be forced to leave our country.

That is a fact.

Like it or not, they are here to stay.

pathway 5

pathway 6

So…, now that we have that straight, what are we going to do with them?

Is it better to leave them in our country with an “illegal” status, or would it be better to provide a helpful way for them to achieve documented citizenship?

The taxpayers of this country are paying for these people one way or another, so we might as well get something out of this deal…, right?

I believe President Trump should hijack this whole issue and turn it into a strength for him, conservatives and other republicans.

President trump should propose a “Pathway Force.”

This “Pathway Force” would be somewhere in between the AmeriCorps program and the Army Reserve.

By serving in the “Pathway Force,” these “illegals” earn their way to citizenship.

At a designated start date, all illegal immigrants caught coming into the country would be automatically “drafted” into the pathway Force.

Those illegal immigrants already in the country could “enlist” and take advantage of the opportunities and benefits provided by the Pathway Force.

The Pathway Force program would provide housing, utilizing military bases, provide English classes, civics classes, and train them to be a kind of FEMA response force that would assist in public works programs, emergencies and natural disasters around the country.

After four years of service in the Pathway Force they earn their citizenship and they can leave the force or choose to re-enlist.

Like I said, like it or not, these people are here to stay.

For the “Dreamers” and others who can document that they have been productive workers and law-abiding citizens for a given period of time, I would propose amnesty and a conditional citizenship to be certified after an additional five years of issue free living.

By proposing these type of actions, President Trump could co-opt all of these immigrants and flip them to Trump supporters.

It would be a beautiful thing.

It would be a better “gotcha” than “The Sting” or “Ocean’s 11.”

The President and conservatives have nothing to lose…, only supporters to gain.

pathway 4

Again…, remember…, these “illegals” aren’t going anywhere.

They are here to stay.

Now, with that understanding…, what are we going to do?

Let’s not bite off our noses to spite our faces.

Let’s be proactive and WIN this issue…, not continue to get beat up time and time again over it.

pathway 3

Woof! Woof! Campaign finance laws…, all bark and no bite.

Let’s make no mistake about it…, politicians and political groups are ALL about the money.  And it doesn’t really matter what party they’re affiliated with.

When we hear all of this blustery talk regarding “campaign finance reform” every so often, their proposals are all just shams that pretend to actually do something, but in reality they have no effect on the flow of money at all.

In this case, were talking about the flow of what is referred to as “dark money.”

“Dark money” is referred to as “dark money” because the actual donors/investors remain comfortably and anonymously in the shadows.

dark money 1

What we have here is the discovery of an entire “dark money” network supporting liberal causes.

dark money 4

According to Adam Shaw for Fox News, “An expansive network of ‘shadowy’ dark money donors has [been uncovered which is] pumping millions into left-wing causes ranging from health care to climate change to abortion, all while flying well under the radar of public scrutiny, according to an explosive new report obtained by Fox News.”

“The report, by conservative watchdog Capital Research Center, describes a band of nonprofits operating under the banner of Washington-based philanthropy company Arabella Advisors. Those ‘pop up groups’ are housed in four Arabella-controlled ‘sister’ nonprofits, according to the report: The New Venture Fund, Sixteen Thirty Fund, Hopewell Fund and Windward Fund.”

‘“Together, these groups form an interlocking network of ‘dark money’ pop-up groups and other fiscally sponsored projects, all afloat in a half-billion-dollar ocean of cash,’ the report says. ‘The real puppeteer, though, is Arabella Advisors, which has managed to largely conceal its role in coordinating so much of the professional Left’s infrastructure under a mask of ‘philanthropy.’”

“The report says the ‘hydra-like’ network brought in $1.6 billion between 2013 and 2017 ‘to advance the political policies desired by wealthy left-wing interests,’ as the network’s revenues grew by 392 percent. The four Arabella-controlled ‘sister’ groups brought in $582 million in 2017 alone, according to the report. If the four groups were a single entity, it would make them the 22nd largest public charity in America, with higher revenues than the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Planned Parenthood or the Clinton Foundation.”

‘“The size and scope of the Arabella network of funds demonstrates far more ‘dark money’ exists on the left side of the political spectrum than has been previously admitted,’ the report says.”

Uh…, yeah…, especially since nothing is ever “admitted!”

dark money 5

The name “Arabella” means “yielding to prayer,” by the way.  Prayer to who or what would be my only question, as this is definitely not a Godly venture.

“Arabella’s website says the company was founded to ‘provide strategic guidance for effective philanthropy’ and is ‘dedicated to helping clients make a difference on the issues that matter most to them, from climate to women and girls, education, good food, and more.’ All told, the company represents clients with collective assets totaling more than $100 Billion.”

That’s $100 Billion with a “B!”

“But the report alleges the group blurs the line between philanthropy and political advocacy on issues such as ObamaCare, gun control, abortion and opposition to the confirmation of now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. And it says that due to the financial arrangements and lack of donor disclosure, ‘it is impossible to know which organization subsidizes the various campaigns and political movements spawned by Arabella’s funds.’”

And that’s just the way they like it.

“The company was founded by Eric Kessler, who has worked both in the Clinton administration, where he managed conservation issues, and as a member of the Clinton Global Initiative. He also founded the New Venture Fund and is on the board of the Sixteen Thirty Fund.”

Well, there you have it.

That’s all we needed to know.

Arabella was founded by someone who has worked in the Clinton Administration and the Clinton Global Initiative.

A true pedigree in crookedness and underhandedness.

“Arabella did not respond to a request for comment from Fox News.”

Reeeeeally?!

“The report claims the group runs a network of ‘astroturf’ [referring to apparent grassroots-based citizen groups or coalitions] activities including as many as 340 ‘pop up’ groups, which the report says are often little more than websites created to give the appearance of grassroots campaigns. It cites the organization’s activities pushing back against Republican efforts to repeal and replace ObamaCare as an example of its political activism.”

‘“At a glance, these groups, such as Save My Care and Protect Our Care, appeared to be impassioned examples of citizen activists defending ObamaCare,’ the report says. ‘In reality, neither “not-for-profit” advocacy group appears to have paid staff, held board meetings, or even owned so much as a pen.’”

“Consequently, the report says, the groups can be used to run ‘short-term, high intensity media campaigns targeting the news cycle’ such as during the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing. The report gave the example of activists, led by Demand Justice, waving glossy ‘Stop Kavanaugh’ signs in protest of the conservative nominee’s confirmation.”

“Demand Justice, led by former Hillary Clinton press secretary Brian Fallon, is very active on judicial issues, and is more than just a website.

There’s that “Clinton” reference again!

Liberal mega-donor George Soros and his Democracy Alliance group pop-up as well in association with the Sixteen Thirty Fund and the New Venture Fund.

dark money 3

It’s just one more bit of evidence which demonstrates the un-holiness of these alliances.

Stay thirsty (for the truth) my friends!

The truth is out there, and the truth shall set you free!

“Should a White Man Be the Face of the Democratic Party in 2020?” – A recent headline in The New York Times.

The democrat party and liberals in general continually like to label conservatives, and President Trump specifically, as racists (anti-people of color), misogynists (anti-women), along with having phobias concerning any other type of personal delineation you can name.

It must be a heavy burden, maintaining this “enlightedness” on a daily basis.

whitemales 6

But we all have our crosses to bear.

I would argue that the liberal “enlightedness” of 2019 and 2020 is racist (anti-white) and misandrous (anti-men).

Approximately 70% of the U.S. population is “white,” which equates to roughly 225 million people, with males specifically accounting for about 110 million of those.

On the surface, that would not seem to be a very wise position for the democrats to be coming from.

But being wise, fair, and tolerant is not their current M.O. (“modus operandi,” or “method of operating”).

Why does everything have to be viewed through the spectrum of race, gender, culture and sexual orientation with the left?

Shouldn’t their goal be to just nominate the best person “to be the face of the democrat party in 2020,” regardless of race, gender, culture and sexual orientation?

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”

I think Dr. King would be disappointed that democrats and liberals were the ones standing in the way of that dream.

The comical thing, however, is that even with all of this “anti-white male” talk flying around the democrat party, their leading candidates right now are all white males!

Remember, however, in liberal land, what you say is more important than what you actually do.

whitemales 1

The top four I am referring to are: “Creepy Uncle” Joe Biden, “Crazy” Bernie Sanders, Beto “O’Dork” O’Rourke and Pete “Booty-gag” Buttigieg.

Candidates of a more “preferred” race and/or gender are Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar, Kirsten Gillebrand, Amy Klobuchar and Cory Booker, although they currently trail the four “white devils” by a significant amount in the polls.

whitemales 2

One of these “preferred” candidates will undoubtedly be chosen as the vice-presidential candidate to balance out the regrettable white male presidential candidate.

Howard Kurtz for Fox News adds, “… isn’t it also a discriminatory impulse to say perhaps a white male candidate should be denied the nomination on the grounds of race and sex?  Doesn’t that go against what we’ve always heard about wanting a color-blind and gender-neutral society?”

whitemales 4

The New York Times article piece says that “Democrats have seen the strong diversity in their field … become somewhat overshadowed by white male candidates.”  The article then asks, “What’s the bigger gamble: to nominate a white man and risk disappointing some of the party’s base, or nominate a minority candidate or a woman who might struggle to carry predominantly white swing states like Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania that both Barack Obama and President Trump won?”

Hmmm…, so Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania are considered “white swing states” by the liberals?  Interesting.  So even entire states have a racial determination in their eyes.

whitemales 7

Believe me my democrat friends…, there is no “gamble” for you no matter who you nominate.  Who else are the great confused liberal masses going to vote for?

President Trump!?

And those “unicorn” voters who identify as “independents” are even more confused than the confused liberal masses.

If any of these “independents” had an IQ higher than that of a jackass, the difference between President Trump and any of these democrat candidates should be readily apparent.  How anyone could be “undecided” going into the 2020 presidential election is beyond me.

whitemales 3

There is going to be well over a billion dollars spent on this election, trying to persuade about 1,000 “independent” idiots.

Everyone else is spoken for.

That’s about $1 million a vote by the way…, and they’ll probably end up voting for the Green Party candidate anyway!  Or not bother to vote at all because they still couldn’t make up their mind!

It’s a mad, mad, mad world.

This is what happens when the government doesn’t take care of its responsibilities.

According to The Constitution, our federal government isn’t really specifically tasked with a lot…, but in Article 1, Section 8, Item 1 it states: “The Congress shall… provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States…”

When citizens feel threatened and the federal government is not providing the proper laws…, enforcing the laws…, or generally protecting or providing “domestic tranquility,” “the common defense,” “the general Welfare,” and “the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity,” people will protect themselves.

It’s the American way.

In this instance, a New Mexico militia group detained migrants, who crossed our border illegally, at gunpoint until the Border Patrol could arrive.

vigilantes 1

I would call these people heroes.

According to Danielle Wallace for Fox News, “An armed right-wing militia group operating along the U.S.-Mexico border posted several videos to social media this week, including one in which they held about 200 asylum-seeking migrants at gunpoint near Sunland Park, N.M., until U.S. Border Patrol agents arrived, according to a report.”

Before we proceed, let’s put this reporting in the proper perspective.

Okay, Danielle.  First off, I have an issue with you when you label these people as “an armed right-wing militia group.”  Can’t we just say they are a militia group or a group of vigilantes?  Do we ever see any other groups labeled as “left-wing” groups?  No…, we don’t.

Second of all, the people that were held are described as “asylum-seeking migrants.”  The truth is you really have no idea who all of these people are or what they want, and you left out the word “ILLEGAL.”  These are ILLEGAL immigrants who crossed our southern border ILLEGALLY.

Okay…, that being said…, let’s continue.

“The militia group, which calls itself the United Constitutional Patriots, said, ‘… it is determined to monitor the border until President Trump fulfills his campaign promise of a border wall or until Congress enacts stronger legislation to make it more difficult for migrants to request asylum,’ Jim Benvie, a spokesman, told The New York Times in a phone interview.”

‘“It should go without saying that regular citizens have no authority to arrest or detain anyone,’ the governor of New Mexico, Michelle Lujan Grisham, said in a statement to The New York Times, adding that it is ‘completely unacceptable’ that migrants be ‘menaced or threatened’ upon entering the U.S.”

“The American Civil Liberties Union said in a statement that ‘the Trump administration’s vile racism’ emboldened these groups.”

“Carlos A. Diaz, a spokesperson for Customs and Border Protection, would not divulge specific details about the scene in the video or about the United Constitutional Patriots, but said in a statement that Border Patrol ‘does not endorse private groups or organizations taking enforcement matters into their own hands.’”

Well Ms. Michelle Lujan Grisham…, let’s begin with you.

It does not “go without saying that regular citizens have no authority to arrest or detain anyone.”  In fact, in the nearby illegal immigrant friendly state of California, in section 837 of the California Penal Code, it says, “A private person may arrest another: For a public offense committed or attempted in his/her presence.  When the person arrested has committed a felony, although not in his/her presence.  When a felony has been in fact committed, and he or she has reasonable cause for believing the person arrested to have committed it.”

So, no, Ms. Michelle Lujan Grisham…, it does not go without saying.

In addition, you continue by saying that, “it is completely unacceptable that migrants be menaced or threatened upon entering the U.S.”  But apparently it is acceptable that some of these (and she left out the word ILLEGAL as well) migrants go on to “menace” and “threaten” law-abiding U.S. citizens.

vigilantes 2

vigilantes 3

vigilantes 4

In my opinion, you are a disgrace of a governor Ms. Michelle Lujan Grisham, and the state of New Mexico should be ashamed for having elected you.

I guess, in the end, people get what they deserve.  Good luck with that New Mexico.

Then we have The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) saying in a statement that “the Trump administration’s vile racism” has emboldened these [militia] groups.”

The ACLU has already lost any semblance of credibility it may have had at one time…, but in response I would like to say that the inaction of the U.S. Congress and many prior presidents, along with the actions of many of the current democrat politicians and their supporters, has emboldened these illegal immigrants to put unprecedented pressure on our southern border.

There is no racism being demonstrated here.  Being “illegal” is not a matter of race…, it’s a matter of law.

vigilantes 6

Lastly we have a spokesperson for Customs and Border Protection, Carlos A. Diaz, saying that the Border Patrol “does not endorse private groups or organizations taking enforcement matters into their own hands.”

With all due respect…, and I am saying “with all due respect,” Mr. Diaz, patriotic citizens of this country don’t need your endorsement…, and these patriots only “take matters into their own hands” when the government is not taking care of their business for one reason or another.

Hard working, God fearing, Americans don’t need these politicians who have their heads up their backsides to figure out what’s right and what’s wrong…, we already know.  We just hope they figure it out sooner than later.

vigilantes 5

Until that time these patriots will just have to help them do their job…, for their own sakes and ours.

WINNING!
