Is it really a “right” to have crappy health care?

I suppose technically it is.

It seems that “Medicare for all” is all the rage among democrats.

medicare 3

If you listen to the democrat presidential candidates, you would think that people without health care was a national crisis.

Have you ever seen anyone turned away from an emergency room, insurance or not?

In addition to that…, the truth is:

90% of Americans are covered by some sort of health care plan (Private plans, private plans through employers, VA, Medicare…, even Obamacare!

5% choose not to be covered by a health care plan.

That leaves only 5% that are truly without health care coverage.

Most of the democrat presidential candidates rally around the cry that, “Health care is a human right!”

The truth is the democrats are “fake news.”

medicare 7

The truth is the democrats don’t care about anyone’s rights.

The truth is the democrats really don’t care if you have health care coverage or not.

medicare 1

The truth is the democrats want government to take over the health care system because the truth is they want the government to take over everything!

So…, let’s get this straight.

In order to make sure that the 5% who don’t have coverage get coverage:

… the democrats want to destroy the current system that 90% of us are using?

…the democrats want the 2.7 million people who currently work in the insurance industry to lose their jobs?

…the democrats expect all of us, who do pay taxes, to pay considerably more taxes to fund their socialized and nationalized health care fiasco?

… the democrats are willing to turn over the administration of everyone’s health care insurance to the government, whom we all know is soooo efficient and customer oriented?

medicare 4

… the democrats are willing to turn over the administration of everyone’s health care insurance to the government, whom we all know is soooo cost effective?  We’ve all heard about the bargains the Pentagon has gotten on their $435 hammers and their $640 toilet seats!  Get ready for the $50 Q-tip!

… the democrats are willing to turn over the administration of everyone’s health care insurance to the government, whom we all know are doing such a good job in regards to immigration laws, in regards to handling the abortion issue, in regards to funding social security, in regards to homelessness, in regards to city, state and federal debt, in regards to crime and violence, in regards to illegal drugs and drug abuse.  Well…, you get the idea.

medicare 6

medicare 9

… the democrats are willing to turn over the administration of everyone’s health care insurance to the government, whom we all know will be abused and wasteful.  Can you imagine the current Medicare system abuse times ten?!

Times 20?!!

Times 30?!!!

President Trump believes, and I believe, that a more intelligent, “holistic” plan for improving the health care system would include adding a “safety net” system for the 5% without health care, laws making insurance processing easier, more transparent, and more user friendly, programs aimed at making medications more affordable, laws to address excessive medical liability awards, covering pre-existing conditions, and finding ways to make health insurance coverage more competitive…, as opposed to just lazily dumping the whole thing onto the government’s lap and living with whatever they deem is acceptable for us.

According to Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Chief Medical Correspondent for CNN, “Medicare, which has been around since 1965, is the government-run health insurance program that covers all Americans 65 and older and is funded by taxpayers. A portion taken out of our paychecks for Social Security goes toward Medicare to cover most services like hospital stays and doctors’ visits.”

What did people do prior to 1965?  The American people didn’t pay any federal income taxes prior to 1913 either.  How did we and the country survive?  Seriously…, I’m asking?

“People on Medicare can also choose to get additional coverage from Medicare-approved private insurers to cover other services such as dental, vision and prescription drugs.”

“Our health care system could best be described as a hybrid. About half the money comes from the private sector: people who have private insurance through their employers or who are self-insured. The other half is from the public sector: federal, state and local governments paying into Medicare and Medicaid.”

Most proposed “Medicare for all” plans would provide fairly comprehensive coverage, as Medicare does now, all with no copays, premiums or deductibles, they say.

Herein lies the rub.

The democrats call it “free” health care with “no copays, premiums or deductibles,” but we all know nothing is “free.”

These politicians are so generous with OUR money!

I’m sure the increase in our taxes would more than equal our copays, premiums and deductibles, as we would not only be covering our own costs, but all of those who don’t pay any taxes as well.

medicare 2

As with most other democrat schemes, it’s a good deal for those accustomed to living off of government handouts, and that’s about it.

medicare 9

Of course, the extremely wealthy and most politicians would be exempt from this system, designed for the rest of us peons, just as in the case of Obamacare.

Why are about half of the American people willing to accept a crappy health care system, while the elites just go on living their elite lifestyles?

Because about half of us are either too ignorant to know any better, gullible enough to believe the socialist fairy tales they tell us, too lazy to care either way, or we’re originally from a country where we’re used to this type of treatment, so this is totally acceptable and familiar, and we’re just happy to be here.

medicare 10

It’s difficult combating the waves of liberal misinformation when the “biased, liberal propaganda, fake news media” acts as a co-conspirator rather than a “watch dog” for the American people.

medicare 5

Remember…, stay thirsty my friends, but don’t drink the liberal Kool-Aide!

When will “Black” politicians stop hiding behind the color of their skin?

Over the weekend, President Trump tweeted out some criticisms of Rep. Elijah Cummings, who happens to be part African-American and a democrat from Maryland, who represents a district in Baltimore.

These tweets were a response to Cummings’ comments which were critical of the conditions at border processing centers. Cummings last week had questioned crowded border conditions and criticized the lack of basic humanitarian needs such as sanitation being met.

cummings 1

“Cummings sarcastically asked Kevin McAleenan, the acting head of Homeland Security, ‘You feel like you’re doing a great job, right?’ according to Sommer Brokaw and Allen Cone of UPI.  ‘What does that mean when a child is sitting in their own feces, can’t take a shower, come on man, what’s that about?  None of us would have our children in that position.  They are human beings.’”

cummings 3

What a pompous ass.  What a disingenuous, pompous ass.

Oh, oh…, I guess that makes me a racist…, because you can’t question the integrity of an African-American politician you know…, unless they happen to be conservative that is!

cummings 9

You say “None of us would have our children in that position.”  Have you taken a look around your district in the last twenty years Congressman Cummings?

cummings 13

Many children in your district live in conditions much worse that the conditions you dreamed up, regarding our border processing centers, Mr. Cummings.

Why haven’t these children, these U.S. citizens, which you represent in your district, gotten the same level of your concern as have these illegal immigrants halfway across the country?

‘“I want to concentrate on these children and I want to make sure that they are okay,’ he continued. ‘I said it before, and I’ll say it again. It’s not the deed that you do to a child. It’s the memory.’”

Oh…, such eloquent words, Mr. Cummings.  You’re such a gifted orator!  Which one of your staffers fed you that line of crap?

“He added that the Trump administration was responsible for separating thousands of migrant children, some as young as 2, from their parents.”

‘“It is the Trump administration’s own policies that are causing these problems,’ he said. ‘They all increased the number of people being held and unnecessarily detained … The damage the Trump administration has inflicted and is continuing to inflict will affect these children for the rest of their lives.’”

cummings 6

No, it’s not the Trump Administration’s own policies, Mr. Cummings.  The Trump Administration is just following the laws established by you and your friend in Congress, Mr. Cummings.

If you and your friends in Congress had done its job anytime over the last twenty years or so, these situations at our southern border would not even be an issue now.

‘“I’m talking about human beings,’ Cummings said. ‘I’m not talking about people that come from, as The President said, shitholes. These are human beings. Human beings just trying to live a better life.’”

Oh, so none of these people come from your district in Baltimore, Mr. Cummings?

Sorry, but it was just too hard to let that one slip by!

People in your district aren’t “human beings?”

People in your district aren’t “trying to live a better life?”

And it was Senator Bernie Sanders who described your district as being akin to a “third world country.”

According to David Montanaro of Fox News, “[President] Trump was heavily criticized over the weekend after he branded Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., a “brutal bully” for his treatment of Border Patrol officials at committee hearings — and described Cummings’ district as “far worse and more dangerous” than the southern border.’”

cummings 15

“Radio host Rush Limbaugh said, “President Trump is speaking the absolute truth about problems in the city of Baltimore under Democrat-led administrations.’”

‘“What he’s saying here is the absolute truth, but it’s not supposed to be said about any place where the Democrats are in charge,’ he said Monday on Fox & Friends.’”

‘“Cumming[s’] District is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place,’ Trump tweeted, before calling for an investigation into why Baltimore received so much federal funding.”

cummings 7

Ya…, let’s open up an investigation checking into what has happened to all of those hundreds of millions of dollars earmarked for Elijah Cummings’ district in Baltimore!

From what I’ve seen, Mr. Cummings seems to be a big fan of investigations!

“Limbaugh added, ‘It’s about time somebody pushed back against the human misery caused by Democrat leadership.’”

“Cummings, the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, responded Sunday by declaring he has ‘no doubt that Trump is racist.’”

cummings 5

Really, Mr. Cummings?

Why can you be critical of him, and that’s not racist, but as soon he’s critical of you that’s considered racist?

Just sayin’.

This seems to be a typical case of someone being able to “dish it out,” but not being able to take it himself.

Remember…, you started this Mr. Cummings.

cummings 11

“Limbaugh continued by adding, ‘The Democrats get to claim they are compassionate and that they care, but they never do anything that actually improves the quality of the lives of their constituents. Their constituents are as unhappy today as they were 50 years ago.’”

The “biased, liberal propaganda, fake news media” is of course co-conspirators in this “racist” charade which has been perpetrated on the American people.

cummings 12

Hopefully our African-American friends will increasingly wake up to this fact and run these frauds right out of town and right out of Congress!

Israel 1, “The (anti-America) Squad” 0.

Who are the religious bigots here?

Who are the racists here?

Who are the intolerant ones here?

jewish 6

It appears that three of the four “Squad” members would be the correct answer to these questions.

I have to give credit to Ayanna Pressley, the representative from Massachusetts, for breaking with her crew on this one.

jewish 4

In fact, according to Frank Miles of Fox News, “The resolution passed on a vote of 398-17.  Reps. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., were among the 16 Democrats who voted against the resolution. Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., was the only Republican to vote ‘no.’ Rep. Justin Amash, I-Mich., was one of five lawmakers who voted ‘present.’”

jewish 3

So “The Squad” consisted of 3 of the 17 who voted against the resolution, which was a vote against Israel on racially and religiously bigoted terms.

jewish 13

And those 17 were defeated 398-17!

Those 17 constitute a whopping 4% of Congress.

I would say we could consider a majority of “The Squad” to be a far, far, far left faction, and an especially racially bigoted group within the democrat party.

Yet “The Squad” appear to be the “faces” of the democrats lately, and the ones driving a radical democrat narrative.

“The House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved a bipartisan resolution Tuesday opposing an international effort to boycott Israel as Democrats try to tamp down increasingly heated political rhetoric over differences with the longtime U.S. ally.”

jewish 10

If you consider the political climate that we live in today, the fact that we can get anything done in a bipartisan fashion is extremely noteworthy, and worth highlighting.

If you are one of the few on the dissenting side of a vote like this (398-17), that is saying a lot!

That is saying that if you can’t support something like this…, you can’t or won’t support anything.

That is saying they (“The Squad” members plus 14) are so far out of the mainstream that they should be considered radical and ineffectual.

As our Jewish friends might say…, these “meshugenahs” and “schlemiels” (Crazy people and incompetent people) “hok a chainik” (talk too much, talk too much nonsense).

“Mazel tov!” (Good fortune to you!)

What does it mean to be “patriotic?”

patriotic 13

patriotic 15

patriotic 20

patriotic 16

patriotic 10

patriotic 11

patriotic 17

GOP Presidential Candidate Donald Trump Holds Campaign Rally In Tampa, Florida

patriotic 4

I’m sure you have a good idea what it means to be “patriotic,” but what about “Google?”

You know…, “Google,” the internet search engine that basically everyone on the planet uses.

The “Google” that claims it has no liberal tilt to it.

Okay…, well, let’s “Google” the word “patriotic.”

patriotic 7

If you “Google” the word “patriotic,” this is what you get:

pa·tri·ot·ic

/ˌpātrēˈädik/

adjective

Having or expressing devotion to and vigorous support for one’s country.

“Today’s game will be played before a fiercely patriotic crowd.”

synonyms: nationalist, nationalistic, loyalist, loyal; chauvinistic, jingoistic, jingo, flag-waving, isolationist, xenophobic

antonyms: traitorous

Hmmm.  Okay…, I was right there with ‘ya Google, until I got to the synonyms “chauvinistic,” “jingoistic,” “isolationist,” and “xenophobic.”

Not to mention that “flag-waving” appears to have taken on some kind of negative connotation.

“Synonyms” are supposed to be words that “mean the same” or “nearly the same,” right?

I do believe that “Google,” the company that claims it has no liberal tilt to it, is trying to change the meaning of the word “patriotic” right before our very eyes!

It would seem that being a patriot, according to Google, has now become something negative…, something undesirable.

Nike and Colin Kaepernick would definitely go along with this new meaning…, as would Facebook, Hollywood in general, the “biased, liberal propaganda, fake news, mainstream media,” most liberals, and most democrats everywhere.

patriotic 2

So, “patriotic” means the same as “chauvinistic?”

chau·vin·is·tic

/ˌSHōvəˈnistik/

adjective

Feeling or displaying aggressive or exaggerated patriotism.

Displaying excessive or prejudiced support for one’s own cause, group, or sex.

“Aggressive patriotism?”

“Exaggerated patriotism?”

“Displaying excessive or prejudiced support?”

This is the start of equating “patriots” with racists.

Then we have “jingoistic.”

“Jingoistic?”

Never heard of it.

jin·go·is·tic

/ˈˌjiNGɡōˈistik/

adjectiveDEROGATORY

Characterized by extreme patriotism, especially in the form of aggressive or warlike foreign policy.

“jingoistic propaganda”

“Extreme patriotism?”

“Aggressive or warlike foreign policy?”

“Propaganda?”

This is the start of equating “patriots” with Nazis.

Next we have “xenophobic.”

This is also a term that what little known and little used up until the last year or so.

xen·o·pho·bic

/zenəˈfōbik,ˌzēnəˈfōbik/

adjective

Having or showing a dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries.

“The xenophobic undertones of this argument.”

synonyms: racist, racialist, ethnocentric, ethnocentrist; nationalist, nationalistic, jingoistic, jingo, isolationist; prejudiced, intolerant, bigoted, parochial, insular

“Having or showing a dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries?”

“Racist, ethnocentric, prejudiced, intolerant, bigoted?”

Do you see where they are going with all of this?

Mark my words…, before you know it, being patriotic will be akin to being in the Ku Klux Klan.

patriotic 6

Waving or displaying the American flag will be considered the same thing as wearing a red MAGA hat.

patriotic 5

If you remember, Google listed the only antonym for “patriotic” as “traitorous.”

Well, there you go Google.

patriotic 8

By your own definition…, if you’re labeling all of us red blooded, flag waving, national anthem singing Americans as “patriots,” then liberals would by choice be the opposite…, or “traitorous.”

Now that I’d tend to agree with!

USA! USA! USA!

patriotic 3

The treatment these New York Police Officers were forced to endure is absolutely sickening.

After watching the video of these poor officers being humiliated, as they were just doing their job, brings a few words to mind:

UNCIVILIZED,

ANIMALISTIC,

DISGRACEFUL,

NAUSEATING,

UNIMAGINABLE,

REPREHENSIBLE,

INEXCUSABLE,

… just for starters.

Are you getting the impression I feel these (I’m not even going to go as far as to call them “people”) animals should be euthanized?

Good…, then I’m getting my point across clearly.

If you haven’t seen the video, what we have here is two New York Police Department (NYPD) officers making an arrest of an individual in the area known as Harlem in New York City.

nypd3

In the process of doing their job, they are continuously splashed with water by onlookers, until finally one sub-human actually dumps a whole bucket of water over the head of one of the officers.  The other officer gets water thrown at him with a bucket and then the bucket is thrown at the officer, striking him in the head.

nypd 1

nypd 7

nypd 4

I’m not sure where these officers found the self-control to seemingly ignore and just walk away from this situation…, but they are bigger men than me apparently.

I know these officers have some level of pride and honor, however, and you can’t expect these individuals to put up with this type of absolute humiliation and utter disrespect for long.

According to Thomas Tracey, Rocco Parascandola and John Annese of The New York Daily News, ‘“If these kids [the ones throwing the water, and I’m not sure I’d call them “kids’] were injured when they were being arrested, then (Internal Affairs) would have to be involved,’ an NYPD lieutenant said. ‘They probably weighed the risk and thought it was too much.’”

In other words, the cops don’t feel that the department or city hall has their backs.

‘“But my dad was a cop, and in my father’s day all of these guys would have been in the hospital,’ the lieutenant said. ‘The job’s got these cops scared to take action.’”

How long are people going to be willing to do this job?

Have these liberal politicians turned this into a job that just can’t be done?

How much money do you have to earn to warrant putting up with crap from both sides…, the criminals and the liberal politicians?

And don’t think there isn’t a racial aspect to this as well.

These African-Americans would not have dumped water over a Black officer’s head.

Again…, these African-Americans WOULD NOT have dumped water over a Black officer’s head.

If anyone out there disagrees with that statement, then please, I’d like to hear from you.  Please message me and convince otherwise.

It really hurts me to even use the word “American” in the same breath when referring to these missing links.

“America,” as we know it, is quickly becoming divided between the big cities and the rest of us.

nypd 8

When the rest of us see things like this incident, we just can’t believe our eyes.

We wonder “who are these ‘people,’” and where did they come from?

nypd 2

This type of disrespect towards officers of the law is just inconceivable to the rest of the country.

Liberals are quick to label these types of feelings as racist…, but they’re honestly not…, these are reactions to actions and behaviors…, not skin color.

Two ideas, regarding immigration problems, which make too much sense to ever happen!

EXTRA, EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT!

A couple politicians have actually been discovered using their heads and coming up with some creative ideas!

Imagine that?

This is the kind of stuff that could start giving politicians a good name!

The first idea was proposed by Senator Ted Cruz of Texas.

His idea is to use confiscated drug money to help build the wall on our southern border with Mexico…, since the Democrats in Congress can’t see fit to allocate any money for this endeavor, even though President Trump was elected amid cries at his rallies to “BUILD THAT WALL!”

ideas 8

Dominick Mastrangelo of The Washington Examiner reported that “Ted Cruz wants to use money from the ‘El Chapo’ drug empire to ‘build the wall!’”

ideas 1

“The reparations to the U.S. taxpayer are justified, prosecutors said, because Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman acquired his billions as part of his drug empire that directly led to the death of thousands of drug-addicted Americans and victims of violent drug-related crime.”

ideas 2

I would say that “reparations” by Guzman are not only justified…, they should be considered a small and required attempt at compensation for all of the suffering he has caused.

“Prosecutors stated Guzman can pay the sum because ‘criminal forfeiture is viewed as part of the sentencing process,’ according to Newsweek.”

“After a lengthy trial, Guzman was found guilty on multiple drug-related felonies and will likely face life in prison.”

Representative Mo Brooks of Alabama also deserves some credit for introducing legislation earlier in the year, “that would reserve up to $14 billion seized from ‘El Chapo’ for the construction project.”

‘“People across the United States are desperate for a sign that Washington is ready and willing to protect them from dangerous criminals and porous borders,’ Cruz wrote a month later in an op-ed for the Washington Post. ‘Congress has two clear mandates from the American people: secure the border and save money. So let’s build a wall, and make El Chapo pay for it.’”

Absolutely…, who could argue with that?

The second idea was proposed by Representative Lance Gooden from Texas.

ideas 3

His idea is to use DNA testing to aid border officials in determining whether children are really with their families, or being used by child traffickers to get across the border.

Brilliant!

Adam Shaw of Fox News reported that, “Rep. Lance Gooden, R-Texas., introduced the End Child Trafficking Now Act on Monday. The bill would implement DNA testing at the border, and punish those caught trying to cheat the system with up to 10 years in prison.”

I’d say 10 years would be a good start.

“The proposal comes in response to growing awareness of the fraudulent use of children by adult migrants to gain access to the U.S. The 1997 Flores court settlement limits how long children can be held in custody to just 20 days, meaning that adult migrants claiming to be family members will also be released into the homeland as their asylum cases are considered.”

ideas 4

‘“Unfortunately we see that all too often now … adults that are bringing children with them that are not their own to try and take advantage of what they perceive as a loophole in our law that would allow them to be released into the United States,’ Acting DHS Secretary Kevin McAleenan told the House Oversight Committee last week, as he described how a DNA test helped thwart one migrant who allegedly ‘bought’ a child in a bid to exploit loopholes.”

‘“We’ve had egregious cases, including a 51-year-old man who bought a six-month child for $80 in Guatemala and admitted that when confronted with a DNA test by a Homeland Security Investigations agent conducting a pilot at one of our border stations,’ he said.”

“He also testified about the problem of ‘child recycling’ that authorities were investigating, where children are used multiple times to get adults into the U.S.”

ideas 5

‘“There are one in five cases, according to ICE, of groups of people coming over with children, saying “these are our children” — when they say that they get preferential treatment through the asylum process — and then we have later found out they are not even related, so the DNA testing helps us to determine if they’re telling the truth or not,’ Gooden told Fox News.”

“Tests would consist of mouth swabs similar to those already in use by the State Department. The agency says that such tests are 99.5 percent accurate.”

Representative Gooden added, “I would be shocked to hear of anyone being opposed to preventing child trafficking, but I’ve been shocked before.”

Yes…, I’m afraid we’re all getting used to being “shocked” by how low and by how political some of our democrat friend will stoop.

You have to wonder sometimes if these loopholes are really loopholes, or if these ways of beating the system were intentionally built into the law?

Some people might be surprised by that accusation, but the law is there to be changed and corrected at any time, and Congress is refusing to do so.

Doesn’t their inaction indicate that they are okay with what’s happening with these children at the border?

What else could their inaction indicate?

ideas 6

Like I said in the beginning…, these are two ideas which make way too much sense to ever happen.

Is “Bigfoot” real?  Can thousands and thousands of people who have claimed to have seen a “Bigfoot” all be mistaken?

It seems like it’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about the legendary creature known as Bigfoot.  Now a new video has surfaced that supposedly shows the creature roaming the mountains of Utah.

(Press Ctrl and click on the link to view the video)

https://www.foxnews.com/tech/watch-hunters-claim-bigfoot-sighting-in-utah-mountains

According to Fox News, “Hunters in Provo, Utah claim to have spotted ‘Sasquatch’ in the mountain range.  The video, which does not offer any kind of definitive proof that it is ‘the missing link,’ does show something walking around in the trees.”

bigfoot

I’ve never heard Bigfoot described as “the missing link” before, nor do I believe it should be.

Be that as it may…, let’s continue.

‘“Okay, seriously look how big it is,’ a man’s voice on the video can be heard saying. ‘It’s just chilling.’”

‘“This is the coolest thing ever!’ a young child responded in kind.”

‘“I don’t think it’s a human, I think it’s a Sasquatch,’ the man added.” ‘“Because look, he’s on the mountain, way far back on the mountain. But look how huge he is!’”

“The sighting has not yet been reported in [the] Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO) database, which lists reported sightings of the creature.  The last reported sighting was in November 2018 in Arkansas.”

bigfoot 6

“Bigfoot had a pretty busy 2018, with reported sightings in New York, New Jersey and a host of other states across the country.

In late 2017, Bigfoot was reportedly spotted in Northern California, where he tried to steal a pig from a farmer near Avocado Lake!

Bigfoot (also known as Sasquatch or a Skunk Ape in the U.S. and Canada, and as a Yowie or Yeti in other parts of the world) is the name given to a mythological ape-like creature that is said to inhabit forests, mostly in the Pacific Northwest. In North American folklore, , Bigfoot is usually described as a large, hairy, ape/human-like being.  The term Sasquatch comes from the Native American word sásq’ets.

Scientists typically discount the existence of Bigfoot and consider it to be a combination of folklore, mis-identification, and hoax, rather than a living animal, because of the lack of physical evidence. Occasional new reports of sightings sustain a small group of self-described investigators. Most reports of sightings are attributed to being other various types of animals, particularly black bears.

Just be aware that other creatures were believed to myths too.

As famous as gorillas are today, there was a time in which they were no more than a myth. Explorers would return from African jungles and tell stories about hairy, giant man-beasts of terrible strength and temper.  Such stories were dismissed by scientists as nonsense as well, and as a result, the gorilla was unknown to science until quite recently. As for the mountain gorilla, a different, larger species, it was believed to be a myth until 1902!

bigfoot 2

Today, Pandas, these mostly vegetarian, black and white bears are among the most famous animals in the world.  However, they were practically unknown for centuries, even in China!  Indeed, although Chinese artists have constantly depicted black bears and bamboo forests since ancient times, the giant panda was never depicted until the 20th century! Rumors and reports of a strange “white bear” found in Chinese mountains were regarded as myths.  Giant pandas were finally seen alive by a European in 1916, German zoologist Hugo Weigold.  It was only then that pandas were finally accepted by scientists as a real animal.

bigfoot 3

One of the most famous mythical sea monsters is the Kraken. Legends of this “monster” of the sea, armed with powerful tentacles and strong enough to sink a ship, were told in Norway and Iceland and according to modern scientists, were based on sightings of the giant squid. Since the giant squid prefers to live in extremely deep parts of the ocean, it is almost never seen alive by humans.  Even though giant squids were reported by early Greeks and Romans, the stories seemed so fantastic that even later scientists had trouble believing in their existence.

bigfoot 4

In 1861, the crew of the French steamship Alecton had a close encounter with a giant squid, and even managed to get hold of a piece of the animal’s tail. However, they were ridiculed by scientists, who told them that such a creature was “against the laws of nature!” Even today, the giant squid maintains its semi-legendary status. We all know it exists now, but it has been called “the most elusive image in Natural History.” It was only in 2004 that the giant squid was finally photographed in its natural habitat.  The first video was taken two years later, in 2006.

Bigfoot is usually described as a large, hairy, muscular, bipedal (walks on two feet) ape-like creature, roughly 6-10 feet tall, and covered in hair described as black, dark brown, or dark reddish.

Individuals claiming to have seen Bigfoot describe large eyes, a pronounced brow ridge, and a large, low-set forehead.  The top of the head has been described as rounded and crested, similar to that of a male gorilla, with a strong, unpleasant smell.  The enormous footprints for which it is named are claimed to be as large as 24 inches long and 8 inches wide.

The Bigfoot figure is common to the folklore of most Northwest Native American tribes.  Native American Bigfoot legends usually describe the creatures as around 6-9 feet tall, very strong, hairy, uncivilized, and often foul-smelling, usually living in the woods and often foraging at night.  Native American Bigfoot creatures are almost always said to be unable to speak human languages, using whistles, grunts, and gestures to communicate with each other.  In some Native stories, Bigfoot may even be said to have supernatural powers, like the ability to turn invisible, for example, but they are always considered physical creatures of the forest, not spirits or ghosts.

That is where the inter-tribal Bigfoot similarities end, however.  In the Bigfoot myths of some tribes, Sasquatch and his relatives are generally shy and benign figures.  They may take things that do not belong to them, but they do not harm people and may even come to their aid at times.

Sometimes Bigfoot is considered a guardian of nature in these tribes.

bigfoot 5

These more benevolent Bigfeet usually appear alone or in a small family unit, and may exchange gifts or use sign language to communicate with Native American communities.

But Bigfoot legends from other tribes describe them as evil creatures who attack humans, play dangerous tricks on them, or steal children; they may even eat people. These more dangerous Bigfoot monsters, known as Stick Indians or Bush Indians, are sometimes found in large groups or even villages, which engage in warfare with neighboring Indian tribes.

One early account was recorded by Reverend Elkanah Walker. In 1840, Walker, a Protestant missionary, recorded stories of giants among the Native Americans living near present-day Spokane, Washington. The Indians said that these giants lived on and around the peaks of nearby mountains and stole salmon from the fishermen’s nets.

Local stories were compiled by Indian Agent J. W. Burns in a series of Canadian newspaper articles in the 1920s recounting stories told to him by the Sts’Ailes people of Chehalis and others. The Sts’Ailes maintain, as do other indigenous peoples of the region, that the Sasquatch are very real and take great offense when it is suggested that they are legendary. According to Sts’Ailes eyewitness accounts, the Sasquatch prefer to avoid white men.  It was Burns who first borrowed the term Sasquatch from the Halkomelem “sásq’ets” and used it in his articles to describe a hypothetical single type of creature reflected in the stories.  Halkomelem is a language of the native people in what is now the British Columbia, Canada area.

In the Northwest, and west of the Rockies generally, Native American people regard Bigfoot with great respect.  He is seen as a special kind of being, because of his close relationship with humans.  Some elders regard him as standing on the “border” between animal-style consciousness and human-style consciousness, which gives him a special kind of power.  It is not that Bigfoot’s relationship makes him “superior” to other animals; in Indian culture, unlike western culture, animals are not regarded as “inferior” to humans but rather as “elder brothers” and “teachers” of humans.  But tribal cultures everywhere are based on relationship and kinship; the closer the kinship, the stronger the bond. Indian elders in the Northwest refuse to eat bear meat because of the bear’s similarity to humans, and Bigfoot is obviously much more similar to humans than is the bear. As beings who blend the “natural knowledge” of animals with something of the distinctive type of consciousness called “intelligence” that humans have, Bigfoot is regarded as a special type of being.”

Similar stories of Bigfoot type creatures are found on every continent in the world, except Antarctica.

About one-third of all claims of Bigfoot sightings are located in the Pacific Northwest, with the remaining reports spread throughout the rest of North America.

As Bigfoot has become better known and a phenomenon in popular culture, sightings have spread throughout North America. In addition to the Pacific Northwest, the Great Lakes Region and the Southeastern United States have had many reports of Bigfoot sightings. The debate over the legitimacy of Bigfoot sightings reached a peak in the 1970s, and Bigfoot has been regarded as the first widely popularized example of a kind of science unto its own in American culture.

Since the early 1950s, there have been over 5,000 (about 75 a year) sightings that have been reported and documented.

The Bigfoot Research Organization claims this 2007 trail camera photo of an unidentified animal is a “juvenile Sasquatch.”

bigfoot 7

There are several organizations dedicated to the research and investigation of Bigfoot sightings in the United States. The oldest and largest is the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO). The BFRO also provides a free database to individuals and other organizations. Their website includes reports from across North America that have been investigated by researchers to determine credibility.

Using data from the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, the Travel Channel has compiled a list of the 8 best states in the U.S. to see the legendary Bigfoot.  As a precursor to upcoming Bigfoot related programming, The Travel Channel said, “A combination of terrifying eyewitness accounts, recently uncovered anthropological evidence, and a possible government cover-up of a Bigfoot being held in captivity prove that we still have a lot to learn about this mysterious creature,” Travel Channel wrote in a March 29 blog post. “These new findings lead to a hunt for the legendary primate using the most cutting-edge science available, which produces shocking DNA evidence of its existence.”

Washington state tops the list with 2,032 sightings and counting, making it the “world’s most active region,” the blog post stated.  Of particular note are the Blue Mountains and Okanogan County, which the Travel Channel wrote is “the locale of one of the most aggressive Bigfoot encounters ever recorded.”

Home to 1,697 sightings, California is second on the list. The state is the location of the most famous purported footage of Bigfoot, the Patterson-Gimlin film, as well as the Jerry Crew sighting, which gave the legendary creature its name.

bigfoot 1

“He made casts using some of his construction equipment, and eventually the story reached the media,” Travel Channel wrote in the post. “The newspapers named this new creature ‘Bigfoot.’”

bigfoot 13

Following California is Pennsylvania with 1,340 sightings and Michigan with 1,131 sightings.  Rounding out the list are New York (1,068 sightings), Ohio (1.024 sightings), Oregon (1,009 sightings) and Texas, which has reported 806 sightings.

“East Texas is home to many reported sightings, the blog post stated, including one particular encounter from a hunter in Panola County.”

“The witness claims that while he was hog hunting, he watched a Sasquatch leap out of the woods, grabbing one of the hogs. The report states that the Bigfoot began making loud whooping noises, which were met with more howls from somewhere off in the distance.  Before walking back into the woods, the creature stared directly at the hunter and growled.”

What do you think about the possible existence of a “Bigfoot” type creature?  Please email me and let me know!

I am one who tends to believe that where there is smoke there’s a fire…, and in the case of Bigfoot we have a lot of smoke!

All the Dems are Kung Fu fighting…, their tongues are fast as lightning!

What we’ve been seeing is that, apparently, a white person cannot be a “true” liberal, and that it’s okay for one liberal to drop the race card on another liberal…, if that other liberal happens to be white.

A couple of weeks ago we had Kamala Harris insinuating that Joe Biden had demonstrated racist behavior in the past…, and now we hear Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez accusing Nancy Pelosi of discriminating against and singling out some of the house representatives of color.

Interesting.

This is much better than watching “The Young and the Restless,” or “As the World Turns!”

Scott Jennings of USA Today says, “The Democratic Party is a mess.”

“If we learned anything lately it is that the Democratic Party is an absolute mess.

Fault lines are deeper than ever between the young socialists and the old establishment figures who run the place.”

Aka, “The Squad” and the “term limits poster child,” Nancy Pelosi.

mess 3

Additionally, “At the first primary debate, Harris assailed Biden for opposing federally mandated busing, an extremely unpopular policy among people of all races and political parties. Debate viewers were left to believe that Harris — who emotionally attributed busing to her getting a quality education — supported the federal mandates.”

mess 12

Harris also said on the debate stage that she, “would eliminate all private insurance,” and then the next day said she, “wouldn’t.”

“The prospect of nominating an old white male for president continues to deeply divide the Democratic Party, and the Woke Folk (at least the ones not supporting Bernie Sanders) are desperate for someone — anyone — to destroy America’s elderly political patriarchy. Policy, principle, and experience are irrelevant — race, gender or sexual orientation are the only credentials required to satisfy the angry [liberal democrat] mob.”

The House speaker recently gave an interview to the New York Times in which she cast aspersions on Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and three other young Democratic women of color who criticized her for giving in on the Senate border funding bill.

mess 2

Though she didn’t mention them by name, Pelosi was referring to Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, in addition to Ocasio-Cortez. Otherwise known as “The Squad,” or “AOC plus three.”

‘“All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world,’ Pelosi said. ‘But they didn’t have any following. They’re four people, and that’s how many votes they got.’”

“Insulting AOC’s ‘Twitter world’ is to the “Woke” Folk what a good ‘yo mama’ joke was to my friends on the school playground. Predictably, AOC punched right back at Pelosi, calling the speaker’s legislative moves ‘a huge mistake.’”

In case your wondering, “woke” is a trendy and relative new term used among our liberal friends which means,  “having an awareness of issues concerning social justice and racial justice.”  “Woke people are allowed to point fingers at all the rest of us “deplorables.”

According to Veronica Stracqualursi, Manu Raju and Sunlen Serfaty of CNN, “Ocasio-Cortez calls Pelosi’s ‘singling out’ of Democratic women of color ‘disrespectful’”

‘“It’s really just pointing out the pattern, right? We’re not talking about just progressives, it’s signaling out four individuals,’ Ocasio-Cortez told CNN on Capitol Hill. ‘And knowing the media environment that we’re operating in, knowing the amount of death threats that we get, knowing the amount of concentration detention, I think it’s just worth asking why.’”

What?

And no, we don’t know the amount of “death threats” you get, or from who.

And what does “concentration detention have to do with any of this?

And how do you “signal out” people?

I’m assuming she means “singling out” people.

mess 4

mess 1

mess 6

mess 5

BUT, when asked if she thinks Pelosi has racial animus or is racist, Ocasio-Cortez said unequivocally, “No, no, absolutely not, absolutely not.”

Ha!

Well, then what were you exactly saying Alexandria?

I mean, we all have ears, we all understand English, and we all heard you basically call Speaker Pelosi a racist…, whether you want to come right out and it or not.

Then…, Democrat Rep. Lacy Clay of Missouri accused Ocasio-Cortez of using “the race card” in her comments to the Post.

mess 10

‘“What a weak argument,’ Clay said. ‘Because you can’t get your way, and because you are -, you’re getting pushback, you resort to use the race card? Unbelievable. Unbelievable to me.’”

OH – MY – GOD!!!

Wait…, let me read that again.

Are you kidding me?!!!

Democrats do this all day, every day, to conservatives…, but that’s okay?

But it’s “unbelievable” and “weak” when a democrat resorts to this when dealing with another democrat.

Does the hypocrisy know no bounds?!

Representative Clay then added, “It tells you the level of ignorance to American history on their part as to what we are as the Democratic Caucus.  It shows their lack of sensitivity to racism. To fall back on that (trope) is a weak argument. It has no place in a civil discussion,” according to Sam Dorman and Chad Pergram of Fox News.

Ooooh, “level of ignorance.”  That’s a good one!

And again…, “It has no place in a civil discussion,” UNLESS they’re dealing with conservatives.

The far left wing of the democrat party has just adjusted their parameters.  Democrat moderates to them are now on the same level that conservatives are to democrat moderates.

Ha!  Isn’t it funny how that works now?

“The lawmaker closed his remarks by suggesting the four freshmen could hurt Democratic chances in upcoming elections.”

Oh, we can only hope Representative Lacy, we can only hope!

We’ll all tune in next week for the continuing saga of “The Young and the Restless” meets “All My Children!”

WINNING!

Thank you, MrEricksonRules.

He’s in a “squad,” she’s in a “squad,” we’re in a “squad,” wouldn’t you like to be in a “squad” too?!

We’ve been hearing a lot lately about “The Squad,” but what exactly is its deal and what’s going on with it?

squad 7

As usual, MrEricksonRules is here to clear things up and give you an unadulterated view of the situation.

By definition…, a “squad” is a small group of people trained to work together as a unit.

Most “squads” have a name, like a firing squad, a death squad, a cheerleading squad, a military squad, a police squad, a suicide squad, a practice squad, the “Geek Squad,” a rifle squad, the “Mod squad,” a bomb squad, a rescue squad, for example.

squad 9

squad 8

squad 6

squad 3

squad 5

squad 4

Now we have four of our freshmen congress women who have deemed themselves “THE SQUAD.”

That alone is pretty bold. It’s actually pretty ignorant and self-aggrandizing for them to believe they are worthy to be members of “THE SQUAD.”

“The Squad,” according to its own members, supposedly form a unified front to push for progressive changes such as a socialistic form of government, the Green New Deal, Medicare-for-all (including illegal immigrants) and open borders, while opposing support for Israel, Christianity, and anything that could be construed as traditionally “American” or patriotic.

The members of “The Squad” are Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).

squad 1

Okay…, so now we know what “The Squad” is.

Now what’s all of the commotion about “The Squad” as of late?

Well, it started when they basically accused Nancy Pelosi of discriminating against them and because they were people of color.  By definition, that’s accusing her of being a racist, isn’t it?

Pelosi then got into a twitter battle with them…, and not to be outdone, President Trump had to enter the fray.

He has since been accused of being a racist…, again, and a sexist…, again.

Rather than interpreting what The President said, and telling you what to think about it, like “The Squad” and the “biased, liberal propaganda, fake news media,” along with the rest of “the swamp…,” we’re going to just look at what The President tweeted, so you can decide for yourself.

First he tweeted:

“So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run.”

Then he tweeted:

“Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!”

He then responded to reporters at the White House by saying that, “If somebody has a problem with our country, if somebody doesn’t want to be in our country, they should leave.”

“When will the Radical Left Congresswomen apologize to our Country, the people of Israel and even to the Office of the President, for the foul language they have used, and the terrible things they have said?” The President added.

“They are anti-Israel, pro Al-Qaeda, and comment on the 9/11 attack, ‘some people did something.’ Radical Left Democrats want Open Borders, which means drugs, crime, human trafficking, and much more.”

“Detention facilities are not Concentration Camps! America has never been stronger than it is now – rebuilt Military, highest Stock Market EVER, lowest unemployment and more people working than ever before. Keep America Great!”

“We will never be a Socialist or Communist Country. IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY HERE, YOU CAN LEAVE! It is your choice, and your choice alone. This is about love for America. Certain people HATE our Country….”

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump)

So there you have the actual tweets from The President.

Can you see why they’re blasting him for being a racist?

Can you see why they’re blasting him for being a sexist?

Hmmm, I really don’t see it either.

I can see where he’s challenging their politics and their ideas, but I don’t see racism or sexism there.

I just see four anti-American liberal democrats who can’t defend their radical narrative, so they just lazily accuse The President as being racist and sexist in order to deflect the attention away from themselves, while attempting to devalue his remarks.

If you want to, you can “see” racist and sexist intonations in “Mary had a Little Lamb,” “Baa Baa, Black Sheep,” and what about “The House that Jack Built?”

He didn’t build that!

Sorry…, I couldn’t resist.

Rebecca Morin, of USA TODAY, reported that, “On Monday afternoon, the lawmakers responded to Trump’s comments in a press conference on Capitol Hill.  Pressley said the president’s recent comments were just a ‘disruptive distraction’ from a ‘callous, chaotic and corrupt’ administration.”

“Omar accused Trump of pursuing a ‘white nationalist’ agenda.”

Excuse me, but isn’t that a racist remark?  Just sayin’.

“While the congresswomen were speaking, Trump continued to tweet about them, ‘The Dems were trying to distance themselves from the four “progressives,” [The Squad], but now they are forced to embrace them,’ The President wrote. ‘That means they are endorsing Socialism, hate of Israel and the USA! Not good for the Democrats!’”

‘“THIS is what racism looks like,’ Pressley tweeted.  “WE are what democracy looks like. And we’re not going anywhere. Except back to DC to fight for the families you marginalize and vilify every day.’”

Isn’t this a racist calling out President Trump for racism?

Why does everything always have to come down to what someone “looks” like instead of what they stand for?

“Omar, who has been criticized by Republicans several times due to controversial comments she made about Israel, also criticized Trump’s online postings and Trump himself.  ‘Mr. President, As Members of Congress, the only country we swear an oath to is the United States,’ she tweeted Sunday. ‘Which is why we are fighting to protect it from the worst, most corrupt and inept president we have ever seen.’”

‘“Want a response to a lawless & complete failure of a President?’ Tlaib tweeted. ‘He is the crisis. His dangerous ideology is the crisis. He needs to be impeached.’”

Yes…, and in your oath you swear to uphold the laws of our country…, the laws that you are in charge of establishing.  Yet you encourage other politicians and illegal immigrants to ignore and break our laws.

“Ocasio-Cortez, who is a self-described Democratic Socialist, tweeted a thread responding to the president, saying that Trump is ‘angry because you can’t conceive of an America that includes us.’”

It’s not YOU Ms. Ocasio-Cortez…, it’s your dangerous socialist ideas that worry him.

‘“You rely on a frightened America for your plunder,’ she tweeted. ‘You won’t accept a nation that sees healthcare as a right or education as a #1 priority, especially where we’re the ones fighting for it. Yet here we are.’”

What?  AOC’s level of confusion is truly impressive.

It is the democrats who have traditionally employed “scare tactics” with seniors, women, minorities and the underprivileged in general.

Now…, adding insult to injury…, Chad Pergram and Frank Miles of Fox News report that, “House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Bennie G. Thompson, D-Miss., was seeking extra protection for members of Congress [from Senate Sergeant at Arms, Michael Stenger] on Monday after President Trump’s tweets and remarks about the ‘progressive squad.’”

“In the letter for House Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving and Senate Sergeant at Arms Michael Stenger, Thompson argued that the Capitol Police Board should meet to ‘analyze the current threat environment and set thresholds for enhanced safety of Members.’”

Well isn’t that special!

Yes…, by all means…, let’s all be concerned about “enhanced security” for our “open borders” congress people who have no concern about the security of their American citizen constituents, when it comes to letting anyone and everyone into our country, and then fighting to keep illegal immigrant criminals in our country by opposing federal law officers when they try and do their jobs to protect American citizens.

Only in America.
