Is our response to the coronavirus unrealistic?

I see that this event is getting cancelled, and that school is closing down, and these games are being suspended, and any plans that involve interactions with people are being changed.

We’re wearing masks, washing our hands 20 times a day, and consuming hand sanitizer like never before.

Is it all really necessary?

Are these new “health” practices going to end up being more harmful than helpful?

I mean, the regular old annual flu is way more dangerous than the coronavirus is.

Are we setting a precedent now where we’re going to implement all of these travel bans and event cancellations and school closures every new flu season?

How can we not now?

How can we pretend one is more dangerous than the other?

How can we put all of these restrictions in place to avoid one virus but not another?

Does that make any sense?

Why have we been willing to just go about our normal everyday lives with the flu virus lurking out there, behind every cough, every sneeze, every handshake, and all of our everyday interactions?

Why is risking getting the flu any less risky than getting the coronavirus?

Why were we one day completely okay with the potential of catching the flu and the next day completely freaking out over the possibility of catching something that’s not even as bad?

Oh…, and just a reminder…, during the 2018-2019 flu season [November thru April, or about six months], 647,000 people were hospitalized and 61,200 died.”

And that’s only in the U.S.

The seasonal flu kills between 291,000 and 646,000 people worldwide each year, according to estimates.

Again…, it doesn’t make any sense.

Worldwide 4,756 people have died due to the coronavirus as of today.

But making sense is not the strong suit of the democrats or their co-conspirators, the liberal propaganda, fake news media.

It is not a requirement either.

In fact, a situation like this is a perfect one for the democrats and their co-conspirators, the liberal propaganda, fake news media.

Why?

Because it’s a situation that The President can’t win.

Have we been able to eliminate the flu?

No.

Will we be able to eliminate the coronavirus?

Probably not.

And certainly not anytime soon.

And as long as the coronavirus hangs around, the democrats and their co-conspirators, the liberal propaganda, fake news media can stand back, whip up the hysteria, and take pot shots at him.

Boy…, the democrats and their co-conspirators, the liberal propaganda, fake news media friends are sure desperate to gain political control over this country again, aren’t they?

They are just hell-bent on destroying this country and our way of life.

That’s exactly why we have to stand strong and make sure they don’t get the chance.

At some point, people will get tired of living in fear and living in a bubble, and they’ll say screw it, just like they had been doing, and they’ll go back to living their lives again, and maybe they’ll get the flu along the way.

At this point, it looks like the democrats have painted themselves into a corner with Joe Biden.

If President Trump was verbally tripping all over himself and demonstrating the confusion Angry Joe does on a regular basis…, you can be sure the democrats would be trying to enact the 25th amendment to The Constitution, regarding declaring the president “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, thus transferring the authority of the president to the vice president.”

But, since we’re talking about “Swampy Joe” here, the democrats and their co-conspirators, the fake news media, will continue to either downplay Angry Joe’s forgetfulness and confusion, or just ignore it altogether.

Giving them the odds of winning with a pair of deuces may be a little generous…, except you know the democrats will have a card or two up their sleeve!

Anyway, soooo…, after having 3 years of being able to come up with potential candidates.

After all of the campaigning.

After all of the debates.

After all of the caucuses and primaries.

After all of this…, the democrats have decided that Joe Biden is the best they have to offer?

There will be a lot of pressure now for Bernie Sanders to bow out of the race, as democrats will want to try and keep Angry Joe’s actual voter interaction and his actual speaking time to a minimum, in an attempt to minimize his gaffe factor. They especially want Bernie to call it quits before the upcoming debate in Phoenix, Arizona, on March 15th.

Money is not an object for the establishment democrats…, and Bernie stands to become a very wealthy man if he chooses to play ball and become a “team player.”

The only problem with the democrats’ strategy is Quid Pro Quo Joe is eventually going to have to go toe to toe with President Trump.

And that, my friends, is not going to be a pretty sight for Angry Joe, and democrats in general.

I see CNN has finally posted some news about the stock market! 

Yes folks, and if you see CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, The Huffington Post (HuffPost), The New York Times or The Washington Post reporting news about Wall Street, or the economy in general, it’s bad news.

In this case, CNN Business’ David Goldman reports, “US stocks plummet on Coronavirus fears: March 9, 2020.  Dow falls 2,100 points.”

Well, that is definitely news Mr. Goldman…, but it was news too when the stock market hit record highs like over 30 times this last year.

It’s funny how I didn’t see any mention of those economic events.

I wonder why?

Another article out there by David Goldman today reports, “It’s a bad day to be an energy company.”

Wow…, two articles in one day!  Mr. Goldman must be extra charged up by all of this bad news!

Goldman reports, ‘“The rapidly falling price of oil [due to an oil price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia] is likely to put more pressure on energy companies in the United States, which will hurt the banks with the most credit exposure to the oil industry,’ according to CFRA Research analyst Pauline Bell.”

Yes, Mr. Goldman…, again, this is definitely news.

But it was also news when President Trump pushed to open-up more areas for oil exploration and when he got all of the pipelines approved.  Not to mention when we gained our independence from Middle Eastern oil, and in fact, became the world’s number one producer of oil again!

Not to mention how low the price of gas has been for over three years now.

This “good stuff” was also news that I didn’t catch you or CNN reporting about, or even bothering to mention in most cases.

Again, I wonder why?

Death toll hits 14,000!  But I’m not talking about the coronavirus.

The 14,000 deaths, at least, that I’m talking about is from the annual flu bug in the United States.

So where’s all of the hysteria about that?

14,000 deaths!

And 14,000 deaths is on the low end of the national estimate.  That number could be as high as 36,000!

The latest number we have for coronavirus related deaths is…, 22.

Yeah…, that’s right…, just 2-2.

Additionally, according to the “Advisory Board” website, “The 2019-2020 flu season has seen the most pediatric deaths in a decade.”

“This flu season has been especially bad for children, according to the CDC. The latest CDC report shows 92 pediatric deaths had been reported as of Feb. 8, the highest number by week since the 2009-2010 flu season, in which 262 pediatric deaths had occurred by this point in the season, according to CDC.”

“ScienceAlert” website reports that, “Parents are understandably concerned. But it’s important to keep in mind that comparatively few children have tested positive for the coronavirus, and deaths in children are very rare.”

“The number of reported COVID-19 cases in children remains low: of more than 44,000 confirmed cases from China, only 416 (less than 1 percent) were aged nine years or younger. No deaths were reported in this age group.”

“The majority of children and adolescents with COVID-19 in China had mild infections and recovered within one to two weeks.”

So the regular old annual flu virus is considerably more dangerous for children that the coronavirus.  In fact, it appears the coronavirus isn’t dangerous for children at all.

Have we heard the fake news media reporting this?

In fact, it appears that the coronavirus isn’t really dangerous at all, except to elderly people and people who are already experiencing some form of disease or illness.

The “Advisory Board” website goes on to say “Between 26 million and 36 million people have been stricken with the flu as of Feb. 8, according to the latest CDC data.”

Again…, “Between 26 MILLION and 36 MILLION people have been stricken with the flu [in the U.S.] as of Feb. 8, according to the latest CDC data.”

And we have that many cases and we already have a vaccine for the flu!

And how many people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus?

Around 500.

That’s right…, 500.

26,000,000-36,000,000 versus 500.

Oh…, but the world is coming to an end because of the coronavirus!

Just looking at the numbers, what else could explain their reporting regarding the suppression of the flu figures and the hype of the coronavirus numbers?

Oh, Schumer you’re so blind, you’re so blind you blow my mind! Hey Schumer, hey Schumer!

Senator UpChuck Schumer from the Peoples’ Republic of New York.

They should sell hats with “PRNY” on them!

Yeah!  This sales could help support all of the criminals released back into the community without bail…, not to mention their future innocent victims.

Anyway…, I digress.

Senator Charles (Chuck) Schumer shot his mouth off the other day, while speaking out in front of the Supreme Court building.

So what is all of the fuss about?

Mr.EricksonRules is going to pull all of the pertinent information together for you and give you the proper perception of Senator Schumer’s words, as well as of the responses of others.

It all started with what democrat Senator Chuck Schumer said while speaking at an abortion rights rally outside of the Supreme Court on March 4, 2020.

Here are the exact words Schumer said:

“Now we stand here today because behind me, inside the walls of this Court, the Supreme Court is hearing arguments, as you know, for the first major abortion rights cases since Justice Kavanaugh and Justice Gorsuch came to the bench.”

“From Louisiana, to Missouri, to Texas, Republican legislatures are waging war on women, all women. And they’re taking away fundamental rights. I want to tell you Gorsuch, I want to tell you Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”

Well, that definitely sounds like a threat to me.

Since Justice Gorsuch and Justice Kavanaugh are appointed for life and don’t have to be re-elected, how exactly will they “pay the price,” Mr. Schumer?

And what do you think they are going to be “hit” with?

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Schumer’s remarks were, “astonishing, reckless and completely irresponsible.”

President Trump tweeted, “There can be few things worse in a civilized, law abiding nation, than a United States Senator openly, and for all to see and hear, threatening the Supreme Court or its Justices. This is what Chuck Schumer just did. He must pay a severe price for this!  — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 5, 2020”

According to Ian Millhiser for the VOX website, Schumer’s words, “received a rare public rebuke from Chief Justice John Roberts.”

“Roberts, for his part, interpreted this statement as a direct threat against Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, and it’s easy to see why. ‘Justices know that criticism comes with the territory,’ the chief justice said in his statement rebuking Schumer. ‘But threatening statements of this sort from the highest levels of government are not only inappropriate, they are dangerous.’”

I think everyone should complete agree with Chief Justice Roberts words.

And excuse Mr. Millhiser, why would the Chief Justice interpret Schumer’s words any other way but as a “direct threat against Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh?”

Senator Schumer specifically called them out.

Any other interpretation is completely disingenuous and propagandistic spin.

The next day, after being reprimanded in The Senate by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer said, “I should not have used the words I used yesterday.  They did not come out the way I intended to.”

Hmmm…, that’s funny, because you’ve been at this talking thing for quite a few years now…, in fact, it’s your job!  I’m pretty sure you said exactly what you intended to say.

“He says that his intention was to convey that ‘there would be political consequences—political consequences, for President Trump and Senate Republicans—if the Supreme Court, with newly confirmed Justices, stripped away a woman’s right to choose.’”

Hmmm…, again that’s funny, because you didn’t say anything about “political consequences,” President Trump or Senate republicans, Mr. Schumer.

Are we to believe that you were that confused and unable to say what you really meant for some unknown reason?

Ian Millhiser also attempts to reason that, “There also isn’t any law prohibiting United States senators from making vaguely menacing statements about Supreme Court justices.”

Oh, but I think there is, Mr. Ian Millhiser…, and I wouldn’t necessarily classify his statements as “vague” either.

Why do I feel that if President Trump would have said these things you wouldn’t have classified his remarks as “vague?”

Just sayin’.

Anyway…, back to the law I think was violated here.

“Threatening government officials of the United States IS a felony under federal law. Threatening the President of the United States is a felony under 18 U.S.C. § 871, punishable by up to 5 years of imprisonment, that is investigated by the United States Secret Service.  Threatening other officials is a Class C or D felony, usually carrying maximum penalties of 5 or 10 years under 18 U.S.C. § 875, 18 U.S.C. § 876 and other statutes.  When a threat is made against a judge, it can also be considered obstruction of justice.”

Schumer continued with his “apology” in The Senate by saying, “Of course, I did not intend to suggest anything other than political and public opinion consequences for the Supreme Court, and it is a gross distortion to imply otherwise.”

“I’m from Brooklyn,” Schumer then explained. “We speak in strong language. I shouldn’t have used the words I did, but in no way was I making a threat. I never, never, would do such a thing. And Leader McConnell knows that. And Republicans, manufacturing outrage over these comments know that too.”

Chucky, Chucky…, where should I begin?

First of all, you “of course” are not given credit for anything.

Second of all, you yourself are the one attempting the “gross distortion here,” not anyone else.

Next you somehow are attempting to blame what you said and how you speak on being from Brooklyn?

Really?

What?!

Then you say people from Brooklyn speak in “strong language?”

Again…, what?!

People from Brooklyn speak in “strong language” compared to who?

In your estimation, Mr. Schumer, are there any people who talk in stronger language who would be excused from saying ever dumber things than you?

Lastly I’d like to talk about various politicians and various media outlets attempting to justify Schumer’s comments based on comments President Trump has made about The Supreme Court.

OK…, so what has President Trump said?

Amanda Holpuch of The Guardian reports that, “While ‘elections have consequences’ – a reference to his [President Trump’s] two Supreme Court appointments since winning the White House, both reliable conservatives – ‘I only ask for fairness, especially when it comes to decisions made by the United States Supreme Court!’”

“At a press conference in India, [President Trump] Trump repeated his complaint.”

‘“I just don’t know how they [Justices Ginsberg and Sotomayor] cannot recuse themselves from anything having to do with Trump or Trump-related,’ he said. ‘The right thing to do is that.’”

‘“What Justice Sotomayor said … was really highly inappropriate and everybody agrees to that. Virtually everybody. I’ve seen papers on it, people cannot believe that she said it.’”

President Trump expressing his opinion and concern about certain Justices, based on prior inflammatory remarks, and their ability to judge fairly and without bias, is completely different from Senator Schumer’s threatening remarks.

These politicians and media outlets attempting to equate President Trump’s remarks to Senator Schumer’s remarks, somehow, are acting completely irresponsible and fraudulent.

Howard Stern isn’t “feeling the Bern!”

According to Tyler McCarthy of Fox News, “Howard Stern denounces Bernie Sanders as ‘Karl Marx Jr.’ and says he can’t beat Trump.”

In 2016 Howard Stern didn’t think Donald Trump could beat Hillary either, soooooo…

“Howard Stern laid into Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders during a recent episode of his show, referring to the self-proclaimed democratic socialist as ‘Karl Marx Jr.’”

“The host was discussing the coronavirus [another topic he is ill-informed and confused about] during a segment on his popular SiriusXM show ahead of Super Tuesday before some big wins in key states allowed Joe Biden to contest what had been Sanders’ runaway victory to that point. Stern noted that he was less worried about the virus and more concerned with what’s going on in politics.”

First of all, it was nice to hear Howard commenting on the topic of the day for once.  It seems like all I’ve been hearing lately are reruns talking about things that happened ages ago.

‘“Yeah! It’s unbelievable. Listen if a Democrat wants to win against Trump, we can’t have Karl Marx Jr.,’ Stern continued. [Hmmm, that’s funny.  What’s all this “we” stuff regarding the democrats?  Stern always refers to himself as an independent.  Of course, Sanders refers to himself as an independent as well, sooooo…] ‘Karl Marx. Jr. ain’t going to win the general election. It’s not going to happen. [Again…, he said the same thing about Donald Trump in 2016.] What they need is a good, strong moderate to be the candidate and Karl Marx Jr. backed Casto, and Karl Marx Jr., all the sh– he wants to get through. All the free Medicaid and all the free college. No one is going to pay for it. No one in Congress, Democrats or Republicans, are going to approve it and neither is the Senate, so we’re going to be sitting there…’”

“Stern continued: ‘All of America is based on… So tell me, give me your utopian vision, Karl. How much money should anyone be allowed to make? And by the way, Bernie, when I’m president, I don’t like people who have three homes. So, I’m going to take away two of your homes because you have three of them. How do you feel about that? I don’t believe he’s going to win the general election so if you’re a Democrat and you don’t like Trump, I mean… I think Trump is probably doing a dance.’”

Stern has now gone on to say that he backs creepy, sleepy Joe Biden now…, after he backed Mike Bloomberg that is.

Stern said he wants to “return to the normalcy” of the Obama years with Biden.  He wants to “return to the way things were” before President Trump, under Obama and Biden.

Really, Howard?

You want millions of people to lose their newly found jobs?

You want millions of people to go back to being reliant on food stamps?

You want all of the thousands of manufacturing companies that have re-opened in America to shut down again?

You want to return to the days when we were dependent on Middle Eastern oil and gas prices near $4.00 a gallon?

You want to return to the days of America being taken advantage of regarding all of those flawed international trade deals?

You want to return to the days when American jobs were being shipped overseas faster than you could say “hope and change?”

You want to return to the days of “the swamp” and its influence and size expanding at a dizzying rate?

You want to return to the days of a dilapidated and under-funded military?

You want to return to the days when treasonous soldiers were pardoned and celebrated, while real American heroes were framed and charged with politically correct “crimes?”

You want to return to the days when The President could order billions of dollars to be loaded up on an unmarked plane, in the middle of the night, and flown over to Iran, without the media saying a word about it?

Stern’s suggestions for sleepy Joe were actually quite comical…, as if Biden would be able to control President Trump during a debate!

Consider President Trump and this opening statement in their first debate, Howard:

“I’m sure you’re aware, Joe, of what you and your democrat friends tried, and failed, to impeach me for.”

“They tried to imply that I threatened the Ukrainian president, which I didn’t, with a withholding of funds, which we didn’t, if he failed to investigate your possible corruption prior to the 2016 election, which he didn’t do.”

“It’s pretty hard to have a “quid pro quo” arrangement, Joe, when there is no “quid” and there is no “quo.”

“You, Joe, on the other hand, are on tape, however, bragging about doing EXACTLY what you and your friends accused me of doing.”

Why would Mayor Pete and Amy Klobuchar end their presidential campaigns ONE DAY BEFORE Super Tuesday?

Why would Mayor Pete and Amy Klobuchar end their presidential campaigns one day before over a third of all democrat delegates were up for grabs?

Why would Mayor Pete and Amy Klobuchar end their presidential campaigns after a year of campaigning…, after a year of spending millions of dollars…, after a year of giving endless speeches…, one day before over a third of all democrat primary delegates are decided?

And why would they suddenly endorse Sleepy Joe Biden?

Someone must have made it extremely worth their while.

The question is…, who would stand to benefit the most from them dropping out one day before the primaries on Super Tuesday?

Who needs to make a good, or better, showing on Super Tuesday…, Biden, Bernie or Bloomberg?

I believe the answer to that question would be “creepy and confused” Joe Biden.

I don’t believe Bernie needs their help in the first place, so I’m ruling him out.

Bloomberg can afford to do anything he wants, and he probably stands to pick-up the most votes in this scenario as well.

The democrat establishment behind Biden wields a lot of money power and a lot of political positional power.

In the final analysis, it’s my belief that it was the anti-Bernie establishment democrats who were responsible for Mayor Pete and Amy Klobuchar bowing out the day before Super Tuesday.

“Creepy and confused” Joe Biden and Mini-Mike Bloomberg will both benefit because of this, although Mayor Pete and Amy Klobuchar specifically endorsed Joe Biden, which tipped the hands of the establishment democrats.

The establishment democrats, however, are in the unenviable position of trying to rally behind “gaffemaster” Joe.

No sooner had Sleepy Joe received the hurried endorsements of Mayor Pete, Amy Klobuchar and Beto O’Rourke, during his campaign rally speech in Houston, TX Monday, Creepy Joe ended up declaring his stupidity rather recalling the Declaration of Independence.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident…, all men and women created by the, you know…, you know, the thing,” he said.

Then, in the same speech, Creepy Joe referred to Super Tuesday as Super Thursday!

“Look, tomorrow’s Super Thurs…, Tuesday,” he said, as members of the audience laughed and shook their heads. “I’ll tell you what, I’m rushing ahead, aren’t I?” he then said.

No, Creepy and confused” Joe…, you’re just a hot mess, and all of those people can’t believe who they’re left to vote for!

Of course, the liberal propaganda, fake news media co-conspirators, has chosen to spin Biden’s gaffes into something less concerning.

Dana Milbank of The Washington Post says, “Joe Biden isn’t just a gaffe machine.  He’s the Lamborghini of gaffes.”

He continues by saying, “Some say it’s unfair to draw attention to Biden when President Trump is the most mendacious [that’s “lying” to all of us uneducated deplorables] politician ever.  I disagree: Biden’s gaffes are to be celebrated, for they make him exciting. When he opens his mouth, nobody knows what is going to come out — least of all Biden.”

Did you get that?

“Biden’s gaffes are to be celebrated.”

And “President Trump is the most [lying] politician ever.”

It’s funny how that works, isn’t it?

Mr. Milbank was also very sure Donald Trump would not become President back in 2016.

I can see in my crystal ball…, yes…, it’s becoming clearer…, I see improved cooperation between sanctuary cities and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)!  

But why the sudden change of heart by all of these sanctuary liberal strongholds?

Well, according to Jonathan Stempel of Reuters News Service, “President Donald Trump’s administration can withhold millions of dollars in law enforcement funds from states and cities that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities, a U.S. appeals court ruled on Wednesday.”

Ohhh, that’s why!

I believe we’ll see a shining example here of how “money talks and BS walks!”

It is almost comical that they chose to sue the federal government over doing the same thing they themselves have used to their benefit without question.
