India, the United States, and China.

India and the United States are the two largest democracies in the world.  In my opinion, these two countries should be “joined at the hip’ regarding matters of defense and their economies.

Yes, “America first” for Americans, and yes, “India first” for Indians…, but helping each other out as much as possible economically and militarily does not fly against the concept of “America first” or “India first.“  Our cooperation with each other and consideration of each other will only help to strengthen both countries, strengthen both democracies, and democracy around the world.

Both of our countries should be strategic partners in the fight against tyrants, communism and terrorism…, for these are the true enemies of democracy and freedom.

It would behoove the United States to support and partner with India…, as India finds itself geographically close and closer to our common countries of concern…, like China, Russia, Iran and North Korea.

I implore President Trump and Prime Minister Modi to build on their positive relationship, and take our countries’ relationship and cooperation to the next level.

It could only be a win-win proposition.

The truth is, however, that the vast majority of Americans are either uninterested, uninformed, or misinformed, about what’s going on in their own country…, much less what’s going on in India.

That being said…,

According to Peter Suciu, for the “National Interest” website, “Thousands of soldiers from both China and India have been locked in a standoff for the better part of a month. Among the ongoing issues is the strategic road through the Galwan Valley in Ladkh that India has been building – a move opposed by China.”

“India has fallen far behind China’s military, but today both countries share the out-sized ambition to be a ‘great power’ in Asia—if not the most powerful. China and India have, respectively, the largest and second-largest militaries on the continent and the highest and second-highest defense budgets. “For now, cooler heads have prevailed, but just as India and Pakistan continue to face one another in the region, so too will India and China.”

Dinesh Kumar, who is a defense analyst for The Sunday Guardian Live website, reported in January that, “Army Day on Tuesday, 15 January, will see an impressive display of soldiers and war-fighting equipment. But behind the pomp is an unsatisfactory story.”

A weakened and neglectful India is something democracy around the world can ill afford as well.

The world needs a strong United States and a strong India.

At the very least, and as a good starting point, India should become a member of NATO…, and the United States should be the one to invite them in.

Eventually, however, I would like to see and grand partnership between India and the United States that would far exceed a NATO-type of alliance.

This partnership would be especially helpful when dealing with China in regards to their “attack” on the rest of the world, with their intentional spreading of the coronavirus around the world and their uncooperativeness regarding pertinent investigations and research.

China and its evil intentions are not going away.

How we choose to deal with them is the only question.

COVID-19, China, The World Health Organization, and the rest of the world.

According to Barnini Chakraborty of Fox News, “The World Health Organization (WHO) continues to lavish China with praise for their handling of coronavirus crisis.”

Wait…, what are those numbers again?

So, the virus began in Wuhan, China, and they’ve only had 82,992 cases and 4,634 deaths in China vs, 5,500,000 cases and 347,000 deaths around the rest of the world?

New York City alone has had 199,968 cases and 21,362 deaths!

Please think about those numbers.

That means even though the virus started in China, they’ve only experienced 1.5% of the cases and 1.3% of the deaths?

I’m sorry, but either they’re way under-reporting their numbers, or they knew what they were dealing with much earlier and from the start.

Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is the Director of WHO, and not a medical doctor.  He is the first non-physician in the role.

Tedros has said that China “bought the world time with their actions,” even though China banned domestic travel within their own country, but allowed flights to go all over an unsuspecting world, spreading the virus far and wide.

That action alone should be considered a biological act of war against the world by China.

And China certainly didn’t buy the world any time.

They sentenced 350,000 innocent people to death, and that number is still growing.

But our own, esteemed, Dr. Fauci praises Tedros and feels he’s doing a good job.

Doing a good job as being a front man for China, perhaps, but that’s about it.

According to Alexander Nazaryan of Yahoo News, “In a press conference on Wednesday morning, President Trump defended his efforts to brand the coronavirus epidemic as a specifically Chinese disease. Although it did originate there, Trump’s critics have said blaming China for the outbreak is xenophobic and racist.”

Hmmm…, that’s odd…, President Trump’s critics calling him xenophobic and racist!

This is how President Trump could destroy Joe Biden in a debate in about 5 minutes.

The democrats and the fake news media are accusing President Trump of a “quid pro quo” arrangement with the Ukrainian president, and attempting to impeach him for it.

In case you’re not familiar with it, “quid pro quo” is a Latin term…, “quid” meaning “money,” “pro” meaning “for, and “quo” meaning “something received.”

China holds the potential for the NBA to earn billion and billions of dollars in the near future and beyond.

Then, last week, Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey felt compelled to tweet out, “Fight for freedom, stand with Hong Kong.”

Upon learning of the tweet, the Chinese government, who is currently at odds with Hong Kong, immediately said it was going to cut ties with the NBA and the Houston Rockets in particular.

How many lives to you guess Twitter has ruined?

Well, you can add at least one more to that list.

But wait…, what happened?

What happened to NBAers snidely shooting their liberal mouths off, while being praised by their contemporaries and the left in general?

Money.

Money is what happened…, and money rules…, end of story.

“In 2017, Commissioner Adam [take me to your leader] Silver actually tried to blackmail the city of Charlotte, North Carolina, by pulling the All-Star Game, all in an attempt to restore the so-called ‘bathroom bill’ for transgender people.”

“Silver told CNN just last year that ‘part of being an NBA player’ is social activism and a ‘sense of an obligation, social responsibility and a desire to speak up directly about issues that are important.’ Silver stated the league wants players to ‘be multi-dimensional people and fully participate as citizens.’”

Well, apparently this “social responsibility” and “speaking up directly about issues that are important” only goes so far.

These ideals are great when attacking conservatives and President Trump, but big “no-nos” when they might cost the NBA any money.

So what did the NBA do?

Morey was forced to delete his tweet and genuflect before the Chinese communist government with an apology.

James Harden, a star on Morey’s team, then tweeted, “We apologize. We love China. We love playing there.”

Silver and the NBA put out an apology in Chinese saying (as translated), “We are extremely disappointed in the inappropriate comment by the general manager of the Houston Rockets.”

Hmmm.  “Social activism” sure looks different these days!

It looks more like “social butt kissing” to me!

It’s amazing how many human rights violations can be excused for a couple billion dollars.

Way to stand firm on your beliefs NBA!

“President Trump mocked two of his frequent critics, NBA head coaches Steve Kerr and Gregg Popovich, because of their responses to the ongoing standoff between the league [the NBA] and China.  Mr. Trump also accused them and the NBA of ‘pandering to China’ after the league scrambled to address the aftermath of a deleted tweet from Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey that supported the human rights protests in Hong Kong.”

“After an executive bill signing Wednesday, Mr. Trump responded to a question about China applying pressure to the NBA and went directly after Kerr, the Golden State Warriors coach.  ‘I watch this guy Steve Kerr,’ Mr. Trump said. ‘And he was like a little boy, he was so scared to be even answering the question.  He couldn’t answer the question,’ he added. ‘He was shaking “Oh, I don’t know, I don’t know.” He didn’t know how to answer the question. And yet he’ll talk about the United States very badly.’ He also brought up Popovich’s response, but said ‘he didn’t look quite as scared.’”

“Mr. Trump also took aim at the league at large.  ‘I watch the way that Kerr, Popovich, and some of the others were pandering to China and yet to our own country, they don’t – it’s like they don’t respect it,’ Mr. Trump said.”

We’re all veterans of the liberals’ environmental “blame game.” But what’s the real deal regarding pollution on our planet?

It seems we are bombarded by liberals in our country, shaking their fingers at us, and perpetually making us feel guilty for our standard of living, and for “trashing” the world’s environment on a daily basis.

We hear “The evil United States is to blame for the world’s air pollution, global warming and ‘climate change…,’ with all of our evil factories, evil cars, evil trucks, and evil farting cows!”

We hear “The evil United States is to blame for polluting our oceans, especially with our evil plastic bottles, our evil plastic this and our evil plastic that.”

We hear that we must adopt the democrats’ “Green New Deal” policies, which would set out economy back 200 years, in order to pay our environmental dues and save our planet.

What’s really going out there, however?

According to data from the World Health Organization, regarding air pollution and air quality per city:

INDIA has 13 of the top 20 worst cities.

CHINA has 23 of the top 50 worst cities.

CHINA has 44 of the top 75 worst cities.

CHINA overwhelmingly dominates the list in general.

But wait!  How many U.S. cities are in there and where do we rank on the list you are probably asking?

NOT EVEN ONE U.S. CITY APPEARS ON THE LIST OF THE 500 WORST CITIES!

Let me repeat that.

How can that be, you might be asking?

How are the democrats allowed to get away with all of this misrepresentation and disinformation regarding the environment?

Okay, okay, but what about saving our oceans?!

What about the polar bears and the whales?!

According to Earthday.org website, the United States ranks number 20 on the top twenty list of ocean polluters.

Yes…, we’re last on that list, and a distant last at that.

How can that be, you might be asking?

How are the democrats allowed to get away with all of this misrepresentation and disinformation regarding the environment?

The answer is the “biased, liberal propaganda, fake news media” is a co-conspirator in this environmental charade.

All of the other countries on this ocean pollution list account for 2 times, 3 times, 4 times, 5 times, 6 times, 10 times, and 32 times the amount of ocean pollution the United States is guilty of!

And who’s at the top of this list?

Well if isn’t our old friend CHINA again!

So the next time you hear some liberal crying about the environment and demanding we flip our country upside down and turn it inside out to save the planet…, tell them to take their story walkin’…, over to China and India, for starters.

Poster boy for term limits, Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, is off the mark on trade tariffs.  

Republican Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa is currently in his seventh term in the U.S. Senate!

Seventh term!

Seven terms is 42 years!

He was first elected in 1980, 39 years ago!

He is 85 years old.

Like I said…, a poster boy for term limits.

I don’t care if these career establishment politicians are republicans, democrats, or disingenuous “independents;” serve your state or your district…, serve a couple terms, then get out and give someone else a chance. The longer these people are entrenched in Washington, the more corrupt and full of themselves they get.  Period.

Too be fair…, Senator Grassley and I generally agree more often than not, but he’s just been in politics way too long.  It’s time.

Stephen Gruber-Miller of USA TODAY reports that, “Chuck Grassley says he tries to remind Trump that tariffs ‘brought about Adolf Hitler’”

He goes on to say that, “Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley on Wednesday blamed a 1930 tariff law for bringing about the Great Depression, the rise of Adolf Hitler and World War II.”

‘“As I like to tell the president when he says he likes tariffs, I try to remind him that Smoot-Hawley brought about the Great Depression, brought about Adolf Hitler, brought about World War II, brought about 60 million people losing their lives as a result of it,’ Grassley said. He was speaking to the National Association of Farm Broadcasting about tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump.”

First of all Mr. Grassley…, let’s be clear…, President Trump has never said he “likes” tariffs.  In fact, he has said exactly the opposite.  He has said he would be happy if all tariffs were removed and there really was “free” trade.

President Trump is only proposing raising tariffs in cases where our trading partners refuse to treat us fairly, after years of one-sidedness I might add.

This scenario is quite different from the Smoot-Hawley Act, of 90 years ago, that you love to refer to.

The Smoot-Hawley Act INITIATED and ESTABLISHED U.S. tariffs with other countries around the world.

President Trump is only attempting to level out the tariff playing field with countries that have been taking advantage of us and our inept leaders for decades.

And yes, Mr. Grassley, Smoot-Hawley may have contributed to “bringing about the Great Depression,” but you attribute the rise of Adolf Hitler, World War II, and the deaths of 60 million people around the world to it as well?

That, I believe, is what people refer to as a stretch!

Hitler’s inherent evilness and his unquenchable desire for power and control were enough to stand on their own. Toss in another madman, Mussolini in Italy, who was happy to tag along, and then add the Empire of Japan to the “axis of evil,” which was also looking to expand its control in the world, and we have a “perfect storm.”

I’m sorry Mr. Grassley…, but all of this was not caused by a tariff increase of up to 20%.

“[President] Trump last week said he would hike tariffs to 25% on $200 billion in Chinese imports after trade negotiations stalled. Chinese officials said in return it would raise tariffs up to 25% on $60 billion in U.S. goods. Trump’s administration also seeks to place tariffs on another $325 billion in Chinese goods.”

“Grassley said on Wednesday that the United States then reduced its tariffs and that poverty has dropped worldwide since the end of World War II.”

“I like to tell the president that globalism has helped everybody. Freeing up trade has helped everybody,” Grassley said.

How would you know Mr. Grassley…, we haven’t had “free trade” in decades and decades…, unless you’re referring to our end of the bargain being free, while the U.S. loses hundreds of thousands of jobs, hundreds of thousands of manufacturing plants, and most of our respect around the world.  Is that the “free trade” that you’re referring to?  Is that what you would propose we do in order to avoid World War III; bend over and let our “friends” and our enemies screw us over?

I think I’ll take a pass on that and see what President Trump do.
