An update: The “little old” Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) – a wolf in sheep’s clothing?

This blog is a follow-up to my previous blog about the SPLC from June, 5, 2018.

You may have noticed the biased mainstream media making more references to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) as of late.  They say, “The Southern poverty Law Center called for this…,” and “the Southern Poverty Law Center said that…,” and so on.

So again…, let’s review.  Who the heck is this Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and what’s their deal?”

Well, here we go …, again:

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center’s own website: “The SPLC is dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society.  Using litigation, education, and other forms of advocacy, the SPLC works toward the day when the ideals of equal justice and equal opportunity will be a reality.”

As usual, and like it is with most of these supposed do-gooder organizations, their cause sounds quite noble.  I can see Superman now…, with the American flag waving behind him…, declaring he is fighting, “The never ending battle for truth, justice, and the American way…,” and the SPLC!

The truth is that this mission statement is a “star spangled” mask worn by the organization to cover up the ugly truths of what they actually hope to accomplish.

The truth is that, “…because the SPLC depends on racism, violence, and division for its revenue and reason for being, they have reason to want more of these terrible things, or at least the appearance of more. Their vested interest is not in solving and reducing these social issues, but in maximizing and perpetuating them.”

splc 3

The truth is that the SPLC spends the vast majority of its funds on its own salaries, propagandizing, and promoting its own narrative, rather than the public good.

Joy Pullmann, executive editor for The Federalist, also recently reported, “The SPLC is basically a very effective scam organization that uses images of the KKK in the white outfits, and now, Donald Trump’s policies, to scare donors into sending them piles of money. Trump-mongering has been very good for their business. The SPLC’s latest IRS form, from 2017, shows that “Gifts, grants, contributions, membership fees” to SPLC almost tripled, from $50,297,653 in 2015 to $132,044,179 (yes, that’s $132 million!) in 2016, of course the year Trump ran and won the presidency. Investigative reporters and actual anti-hate-crimes groups say SPLC is largely a shell organization that uses masterful marketing techniques to rake in big-time profits for its staff, especially founder Morris Dees.”

splc 4

“Its two largest expenses are propaganda operations: creating its annual lists of ‘haters’ and ‘extremists,’ and running a big effort that pushes ‘tolerance education,’ from a very liberal point of view of course, through more than 400,000 public-school teachers.”

“But what is the single biggest effort undertaken by the SPLC? Fundraising, of course. On the organization’s 2015 IRS 990 form it declared $10 million of direct fundraising expenses, far more than it has ever spent on any legal services.”

Last year, a Washington Free Beacon investigation showed SPLC keeps millions in offshore accounts, which charity experts labeled “a huge red flag” and “completely unacceptable.”

The truth is, it’s funny how almost all of the “haters” and “extremists” the SPLC tends to identify are white and/or conservative.

The truth is that when the SPLC says, “The SPLC is dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society,” what they really mean is that they are dedicated to fighting those who do not agree with their liberal and/or anti-American socialist agenda.

splc 5

The truth is that when the SPLC says, “…the SPLC works toward the day when the ideals of equal justice and equal opportunity will be a reality,” they mean they are working towards the day when their radical liberal ideals are basically unopposed.

The truth is that the SPLC can always fall back on the old reliable hate groups, the Klu Klux Klan and Nazi related groups, and the old rallying cries of racism and prejudice. But these groups and ideals are now just used as “cover” by the SPLC.

“SPLC is entitled to its own opinions, but it is not entitled to respect for them or a pretense that they are fair, neutral, unbiased, or free of self-serving motivations.”

In an expose, Harper’s Bazaar magazine said, “Former SPLC lawyer Gloria Browne, who resigned to protest its behavior, “told reporters that the Center’s programs were calculated to cash in on ‘black pain and white guilt.’” They are not targeted to need or effective social solutions.”

“Treating SPLC as a good-faith arbiter of public discourse grants speech police power to an organization whose business model is to make money from poisoning public discourse. Those who care about free speech and justice will grant no such power to folks who, like SPLC, exploit these noble and necessary ideas for their own selfish, cynical, socially destructive ends.”

The SPLC actually did earn a level of credibility back in the 1970’s (40 years ago) fighting some anti-KKK cases. Sadly, that credibility has long been sold out and co-opted.

The truth is that the SPLC of 2019 has little resemblance to the SPLC of the 1970’s.  The SPLC has been high jacked by the democrats and “the swamp” in general, and set-up to be an “untouchable” and an uncontrollable propaganda arm of the democrat party.

So there you have it. The next time you hear a reporter or a commentator refer to the Southern Poverty Law Center, you know where they are coming from.

splc 2

Just recently, the SPLC has reared its ugly head again in a “piling on” effort against former Trump Administration officials.

According to Bradford Betz for Fox News, “Immigration and civil rights groups recently sent a list to the CEOs of American companies urging them not to hire Trump officials who were involved in last year’s separation of migrant children from their families.”

Hmmm…, that’s funny…, and disingenuous.  This is the first I’ve heard of this blacklisting, even though the policy mentioned here was established under President Bill Clinton, continued under President George W. Bush, and then continued, and flourished, as well under President Obama prior to President Trump.

So why the sudden cry to blacklist government officials involved in just following the incredibly inept laws they have been given by Congress?

It’s just an extension of the intolerant behavior being exhibited by our fascist democrat friends across the social spectrum in our country today.

“As outgoing Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen looks for her next job following her resignation Sunday, she may find herself battling a liberal blacklisting effort against those who’ve served in the Trump administration.”

“Nielsen’s name appears on a list that a cabal of immigration and civil rights groups recently sent to the CEOs of American companies, urging them not to hire Trump officials who were involved in last year’s separation of migrant children from their families.”

“Other current and former Trump administration officials targeted include John Kelly, the former White House chief of staff, and Sarah Sanders, the current White House press secretary.”

‘“Some of these individuals have left the administration in recent months,’ the letter to the CEOs states. ‘Regardless of when they leave, they should not be allowed to seek refuge in your boardrooms or corner offices. Allowing them to step off the revolving door and into your welcoming arms should be a nonstarter.’”

“The letter was signed by 41 immigration and civil rights groups, including the Southern Poverty Law Center, which has targeted Nielsen in the past.”

“The coalition targeting the Trump administration officials also purchased an ad in Sunday’s New York Times that read: ‘Attention Corporate America: Don’t let hate into your boardroom.’ The ad features a MAGA-like hat emblazoned with the slogan ‘Put Kids in Cages.’”

Well…, at least they don’t have to worry about Amazon hiring any of these former Trump officials in New York City!  Wa, wa, waaaah.

The crazy liberal left just seems to keep forgetting that conservatives and “just plain old common sense” Americans have been awakened to the left’s shenanigans now, and there’s no going back.

We’re on to you.

We know where you’re coming from…, and we know you’re as un-American as the day is long.

WINNING!

ALL ABOARD!  All aboard the liberal “crazy train!”

Yes…, it’s all aboard the “liberal crazy train…,” again!

The liberals/democrats have lost their minds when it comes to President Trump.

crazy 8

Every time I hear their latest rounds of accusations, name calling and profanity laced “stupidness…,” I don’t think they can get much worse…, but then manage to up their “crazy ante!”

Now, regarding the Dayton and El Paso shootings we hear:

“NBC News contributor raises suspicions over Trump’s order to fly US flags half-staff until Aug. 8,” according to Lukas Mikelionis of Fox News”

“NBC News contributor Frank Figliuzzi said Tuesday that President Trump’s decision to fly American flags half-staff until Aug. 8– in response to the El Paso and Dayton mass shootings– could be seen by white supremacists as a nod to Adolf Hitler.”

What?!

“Figliuzzi, a former FBI assistant director for counterintelligence, made the claim during an MSNBC broadcast with Brian Williams. Trump issued the order on Sunday ‘as a mark of solemn respect’ for the victims of the shootings.”

‘“The President’s either getting really good advice and rejecting it, or he’s getting really bad advice,’ he [Figliuzzi] said. ‘We have to understand the adversary and the threat we’re dealing with, and if we don’t understand how they think we’ll never understand how to counter them, so it’s the little things and the language and messaging that matters.’”

‘“The president says that we will fly our flags at half-mast until August 8, that’s 8/8.  Now I’m not going to imply that he did this deliberately, but I am using it as an example of the ignorance of the adversary that’s being demonstrated by the White House,’ Figliuzzi continued. ‘The numbers 8/8 are very significant in the neo-Nazi and the white supremacy movement. Why? Because the letter “H” is the eighth letter of the alphabet, and to them, the numbers 8/8 stand for “Heil Hitler.”’”

They say that Mr. Figliuzzi, is “a former FBI assistant director for counterintelligence.”  I would have to agree that his statements are “counter-intelligent!”

Cuckoo, cuckoo!

crazy 1

Please keep in mind that President Trump said, “Our nation is overcome with shock, horror and sorrow.  We are outraged and sickened by this monstrous evil.  In one voice, our nation must condemn racism, bigotry and white supremacy.  These sinister ideologies must be defeated. Hatred has no place in America.”

How you can translate these words into a “Hitler love fest” is beyond me.

crazy 2

Next, according to Joseph A. Wulfson of Fox News, “MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace issued an apology Tuesday evening over remarks made during a panel discussion stemming from a guest’s suggestion that President Trump has been ‘talking about exterminating Latinos.’”

Again…, What?!

“On Monday, Wallace led a conversation where USA Today opinion columnist Raul Reyes slammed Trump’s remarks condemning white supremacy since he had ‘basically declared open season on Latinos’ during his entire presidency.”

‘“President Obama used the power of the presidency to try to pass comprehensive immigration reform, with the Latino community, Latino leaders, at the table. You now have a president, as you said, talking about exterminating Latinos.’”

Cuckoo, cuckoo!

crazy 1

How this “talking head” can extrapolate ANYTHING President Trump has said into him wanting to “exterminate Latinos” is pure craziness or an intentional attempt at pathetic misinformation of the highest degree.

crazy 3

“After her remarks went viral on Tuesday, the ‘Deadline: White House’ host took to Twitter to clarify that she ‘misspoke.’”

‘“I misspoke about Trump calling for an extermination of Latinos. My mistake was unintentional and I’m sorry,’ Wallace said.”

I’m sorry Ms. Wallace…, but you didn’t misspeak…, your comments WERE completely intentional…, and you are totally NOT sorry.

You are simply a liar and you’re crazy.

crazy 7

According to Sam Dorman of Fox News, ‘“Morning Joe’ host claims Trump ‘seems to want’ white nationalist terror attacks.”

“MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski Tuesday shockingly floated the idea that President Trump — despite his speech denouncing white supremacy on the previous day — actually wanted white nationalists to carry out attacks like the mass shooting that left more than 20 dead in El Paso, Texas on Saturday.”

‘“You have to ask the question, Joe, and I’ll ask you, isn’t it okay to deduce that at this point this is what he wants?’ Brzezinski asked on ‘Morning Joe.’”

Cuckoo, cuckoo!

crazy 1

‘“He is inciting hatred, inciting violence, inciting racism if he doesn’t unequivocally call it off and say, this is wrong and we stand together against this and we are doing this, this and this to help fight hate crimes.’”

‘“I mean this is a president who seems to want these things to happen. How else can this be explained?’ she asked.”

“Rather than pushing back on her claims, husband and co-host Joe Scarborough piled onto the idea that Trump was ‘inciting hatred.’ ‘As you know, he’s inciting hatred now and he’s been inciting hatred up until yesterday because he sees that as a good political strategy,’ Scarborough said.”

crazy 9

AGAIN…, please keep in mind that President Trump said, “Our nation is overcome with shock, horror and sorrow.  We are outraged and sickened by this monstrous evil.  In one voice, our nation must condemn racism, bigotry and white supremacy.  These sinister ideologies must be defeated. Hatred has no place in America.”

What are Mr. and Mrs. Brzezinski talking about?!

The only way to describe their remarks is by saying they are delusional.

They are obviously living in some strange “Trump derangement syndrome” fantasy world, and they have a show on MSNBC which broadcasts their craziness on a daily basis.

crazy 10

Then, lastly (at least for now), we have Mr. “one percent in the polls” Beto O’Rourke.

According to Joseph A. Wulfsohn of Fox News, “Over the past several days, O’Rourke has slammed the president, who he has placed blame for the massacre.  The former congressman declared that Trump is a ‘racist’ and compared his language to Nazi Germany’s Third Reich.”

Cuckoo, cuckoo!

crazy 1

‘“That is a leader reveling in the hatred and the racism of the people that he purports to serve and to lead,’ O’Rourke said Monday.”

It seems it doesn’t matter what The President actually says.

No matter what The President says, the democrats have this narrative they attribute to The President which highlights racism and hatred.

crazy 3

They just keep spouting this stuff with no apparent concern for the truth.

As always, the democrats’ only concern is bad-mouthing President Trump, regardless of the divisiveness or hatefulness that creates.

It’s just CRAZY!

Thank you, MrEricksonRules.

Well, lo and behold…, the Dayton shooter was a lefty!

Well you don’t say!

I haven’t really heard a lot about that, or laying the blame on for the Dayton shootings at the feet of liberal ideologies or any democrat politicians.

Now why is that?

In my blog of August 6th, “President Trump’s response to the shootings in El Paso and Dayton is ‘spot on,’” I say:

“Is it just me, or is ‘the media’ always quick to pursue the racism angle when a white perpetrator or a conservative is involved, but completely the opposite when a non-white perpetrator or a liberal leaning individual is involved?”

“The Dayton shooter appears to be a liberal whacko…, but they’re keeping that on the ‘down low.’”

“Just sayin’.”

Now we see The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) chiming in with the headline, “The Dayton killer was a left-winger, but don’t blame Elizabeth Warren.”

dayton 1

Oh…, okay…, please, continue to tell us what to think this guy.

Do you recall seeing the headline somewhere that said, “The El Paso killer was a white supremacist racist, but don’t blame President Trump.”

No.., you couldn’t recall that headline…, because there wasn’t one.

double standard meme Luxury 20 best LIBERAL HYPOCRISY images on Pinterest

Oh…, and the way, this opinion article in the WSJ could not even be attributed to an author, or authors, but was credited to the innocuous Wall Street Journal Editorial Board.

Such journalistic bravery!

The article goes on to say that the “Police are seeking a motive to the Dayton mass shooting.”

Really?

No kidding?

You don’t say?

“Police in Dayton say they’re still seeking a motive for Connor Betts’ shooting spree that killed nine people, including his sister. But whatever turns up, we hope no one blames Elizabeth Warren.”

Oh no…, of course not.

Pathetic.

dayton 3

“We say that because the news site Heavy.com, which gained access to Betts’ Twitter account before it was taken down, reports that his politics appear to have been left of center.”

Well, at least we’re lucky enough that this news site managed to gain access before “Betts’ Twitter account was taken down,” or Betts would have been “spun” into being a conservative somehow!

“The shooter recently tweeted that he would ‘happily’ vote for Senator Warren.  His Twitter profile also read: ‘he/him/anime fan/metalhead/leftist/i’m going to hell and i’m not coming back.’ In December last he wrote: ‘This is America: Guns on every corner, guns in every house, no freedom but to kill.’ A month before that, he wrote: ‘Vote blue for gods sake.’”

After reading this, the WSJ says, “His politics appear to have been left of center.”

Ya’ think?!

Yeah…, I’d say “his politics, not only “appear” to be left of center…, they are definitely left of center!

The WSJ goes on to say, “The Dayton shooter’s leftist ravings are notable only because the media and Democratic politicians have drawn a straight line between the El Paso shooter’s anti-immigrant “manifesto” and Donald Trump and the Republican Party.”

Ha!

Yes…, isn’t it a shame that we would now expect the same correlations to be drawn to in the liberal direction?!

Who would have thought that one of the shooters would be a whacko lefty, exposing our unfair treatment of conservatives everywhere and President Trump?!

The WSJ then adds, “After so many recent mass shootings, it is disheartening to see how quickly the issue of these two highly disturbed shooters was overwhelmed by the urge to assign political causation.”

There was actually twice as many shootings during the Obama years, but I don’t recall any “urge to assign political causation” in President Obama’s direction.

dayton 7

“The answer to how he [the Dayton shooter] or the El Paso shooter found their way from fantasy to murder won’t be found in pointless spitting matches between the left and right over whose politics bears the blame.”

Yes we know.

“The pointless spitting matches” are only pointless when “the left” can be “spit at” as well.

C’mon New York Times!  You’re letting the news get in the way of the party line propaganda!

Gerren Keith Gaynor of Fox News reports that, “New York Times headline of Trump’s remarks on mass shootings ignites backlash.”

“A New York Times headline about President Trump’s remarks on the recent mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton drew condemnation online– including some Democratic presidential candidates– and was subsequently changed late Monday.”

nyt 11

They changed their headline?

Wow!  That never happens.  That headline must have been pretty vile or grossly inaccurate.

What exactly was the headline?

“The newspaper summarized Trump’s comments, in which he denounced hate and white supremacy, with the headline “Trump Urges Unity vs. Racism” on the front page of its first edition.”

Huh?

That was the headline they were forced to change?

That headline was completely accurate and unbiased.  That was exactly what occurred.  President Trump urged for unity against racism, denouncing hate and white supremacy groups.

And therein lies the problem.

How can the democrats’ fairy tale narrative of The President being a racist be true if he is reported as being against racism and denouncing hate and white supremacy groups?

C’mon New York Times!

Get with the program!

Did you forget you’re a propaganda rag that works in concert with the democrats?!

nyt 8

It seems that in a moment of weakness you actually reported “the news” there.

Shame on you!

“A photograph of Tuesday’s first edition was tweeted out by journalist Nate Silver Monday night and was quickly slammed by critics who accused The Gray Lady of inaccurately representing Trump’s comments.”

“The Gray Lady?”

More like “Gray Lady Down!”

nyt 9

“Some Twitter users threatened to cancel their subscriptions and urged others to do the same.”

Really?!

Did you know that “some twitter users” can be found to be doing virtually anything?

Anyway…, I digress.

‘“I canceled my subscription,’ tweeted author and CNN contributor Joan Walsh, adding, ‘I can’t keep rewarding such awful news judgement.’”

Let’s get one thing clear…, Joan Walsh is a liar.  She didn’t cancel anything.  And by “awful news judgment” she means diverting from the “fake news,” liberal narrative.  She is associated with CNN after all.

nyt 4

“Prominent Democrats in Washington also took aim at the Times, including New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.”

‘“Let this front page serve as a reminder of how white supremacy is aided by – and often relies upon – the cowardice of mainstream institutions,’ the freshman congresswoman tweeted.”

What?

Please explain to me how “white supremacy is aided” by reporting that The President is calling for unity against racism and white supremacy groups?

nyt 3

These democrats are sooo confused and sooo disingenuous that it is almost beyond commenting on.

nyt 1

“Presidential candidates, many of whom blamed Trump’s rhetoric for the El Paso, Texas, shooting that left at least 22 dead, also decried the headline.”

“New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand tweeted, ‘That’s not what happened.’”

No, Kirsten…, that IS exactly what happened.

‘“Lives literally depend on you doing better, NYT. Please do,’ wrote Sen. Cory Booker.”

Thank you for your take on the matter “Spartacus!”

I believe we all can “do better…,” including you Cory.

“A photograph of the Times’ second edition of the front page hours later revealed that the headline had been changed to ‘Assailing Hate but Not Guns.’ Its website also showed a similar headline: ‘Trump Condemns Bigotry but Doesn’t Call for Major New Guns Laws.’”

nyt 6

I’m surprised these new headlines were even deemed acceptable.

There is a negative twist to them now, but there is still a bit of positivity there about The President.

“Times spokeswoman Eileen Murphy acknowledged in a statement the original headline was problematic.”

“Problematic?”

The headline was “problematic,” but it wasn’t inaccurate, huh?

‘“The original headline was flawed and was changed for all editions of the paper following the first edition,’ the statement read. ‘The headline in question never appeared online, only in the first print edition.’”

The headline was “problematic” and “flawed,” but it wasn’t inaccurate?

Gee…, that reaction to the original headline would seem to be a metaphor for the democrats and their co-conspirators, the mainstream media!

“Problematic” and “flawed.”

President Trump’s response to the shootings in El Paso and Dayton is “spot on.”

President Trump’s response to the shootings in El Paso and Dayton is “spot on,” in my opinion.

And the democrats’ reaction to his remarks are what I would have expected as well…, exploitative, hypocritical and disingenuous.

Oh…, and foul-mouthed tweets contributed by democrat presidential candidates, Cory Booker, Tim Ryan and Beto O’Rourke.

According to Brooke Singman of Fox News, “President Trump called Monday for reforms at the intersection of mental health and gun laws — including so-called ‘red flag laws’ to take guns from those deemed a public risk — in the wake of back-to-back mass shootings over the weekend that left at least 30 people dead.”

“In unequivocal terms, the president also condemned white supremacy, responding to reports that the shooter in El Paso wrote a racist manifesto.”

Is it just me, or is “the media” always quick to pursue the racism angle when a white perpetrator or a conservative is involved, but completely the opposite when a non-white perpetrator or a liberal leaning individual is involved?

The Dayton shooter appears to be a liberal whacko…, but they’re keeping that on the “down low.”

Just sayin’.

‘“In one voice, our nation must condemn racism, bigotry and white supremacy,’ President Trump said, standing beside Vice President Pence. ‘These sinister ideologies must be defeated.  Hatred has no place in America.’”

Spoken like a true racist…, right Bernie?

response 1

“Senator Bernie Sanders, asked that ‘Trump please stop the racist anti-immigrant rhetoric. Stop the hatred in this country which is creating the kind of violence we see.’”

It seems to me that it is the democrats who are promoting divisiveness between the races, cultural groups, and socioeconomic groups for their own benefit.

This statement by Bernie Sanders is just another example of it.

response 9

Then we have democrat presidential candidate, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, saying ‘“This is white nationalist terrorism.’”

‘“We need to acknowledge that this is a problem,’ Buttigieg said, claiming white nationalism has been ‘condoned at the highest levels’ in Washington.

Excuse me, Mayor Pete, but the only group in Washington that has a history of condoning white supremacy are the democrats.

My two best examples would be former Senator Robert Byrd and former Supreme Court Justice, Hugo Black.

Robert Byrd served in the Senate for 52 years, and was referred to as “her mentor” by Hillary Clinton!

response 7

response 8

response 3

According to Richard Stockton of ATI (All That’s Interesting website), “Byrd never once lost an election. Unfortunately, that last record includes the time he was unanimously elected Exalted Cyclops of the KKK chapter he founded and built into a major force.”

By 1942, “Byrd had already recruited at least 150 of West Virginia’s power elite into a Klavern (a local KKK unit) with himself at its head. In 1952, with the winds of change already blowing, Byrd claimed in an interview to have quickly become disillusioned with the KKK, and to have dropped out by 1943. Even if that account is true, it doesn’t explain why, in 1946, Byrd wrote the following to the Grand Wizard: ‘The Klan is needed today as never before, and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia and in every state in the nation.’”

Regarding former Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black, “It was said of Black that in his youth he dressed in white robes and scared black folks, in his later years he dressed up in black robes and scared white folks.”

“Black started out as a country lawyer who defended a Klansman accused of killing a Catholic priest in what was an obvious hate crime. Soon after, Black joined the Alabama KKK.  Later, Black was elected to the Senate.”

“Black was an enthusiastic supporter of [President Franklin] Roosevelt, and in 1937, Black’s loyalty was rewarded with an appointment to the Supreme Court.”

“President Trump also tweeted about the possibility of ‘linking background check legislation to immigration reform.’ However, he said he is ‘open and ready to listen to ideas that will actually work.’”

Just remember, democrats are only interested in ideas that actually work on getting them re-elected, not ideas which would address an actual problem in our society.

shootings 1

“Among his list of proposals, Trump called for reforms to mental health laws ‘to better identify mentally disturbed individuals who may commit acts of violence,’ adding that we must ‘make sure those people not only get treatment but when necessary, involuntary confinement.’”

‘“Mental illness and hatred pulls the trigger, not the gun,’ Trump said.”

response 6

“The president also called for “cultural” changes, citing violent video games…, further, he called for policing the ‘dark recesses of the Internet ‘in a bid to catch mass murderers before they act.  We must also do a better job at identifying and acting on early warning signs,’ [President] Trump said. ‘We must stop the glorification of violence in our society. This includes the gruesome and grisly video games that are now commonplace…It is too easy for troubled youth to surround themselves with a culture that celebrates violence. We must stop or substantially reduce this and it has to begin immediately,’ he added”

“Within minutes of completing his address, 2020 Democratic presidential candidates were slamming his remarks as insufficient.”

‘“The president is weak. And wrong. White supremacy is not a mental illness, and guns are a tool that white supremacists use to fulfill their hate,’ Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., tweeted.”

White supremacy may not be a mental illness, Cory, but liberalism sure appears to be!

response 5

“The attacks have revived the national debate over how to tackle gun violence, with many Democrats demanding the Senate return from recess to address the issue. A number of Democratic lawmakers and presidential candidates have also accused the president of fueling racial tensions with his rhetoric.”

Only when you are viewing his remarks through your own political and racially focused set of lenses.

Do we overreact to mass shootings?

I don’t think so.

I believe we react appropriately…, it’s the reaction of what we should do about these shootings is where some of us tend to overact, and even exploit the circumstances.

This last weekend we saw at least 30 people die to shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio.

Yahoo Lifestyle  reporter, Elena Sheppard, reported that, “Famed astrophysicist and TV personality Neil deGrasse Tyson has shared his reaction to this weekend’s double mass shootings, and people are outraged.”

shootings 16

Tyson was “slammed” for his reaction to the mass shootings reactions.

“Tyson argued that more people are killed by the flu and car accidents than mass shootings, adding, ‘often our emotions respond more to spectacle than to data.’”

Tyson tweeted:

‘“In the past 48hrs, the USA horrifically lost 34 people to mass shootings.’

‘On average, across any 48hrs, we also lose…’

‘500 to Medical errors’

‘300 to the Flu’

‘250 to Suicide’

‘200 to Car Accidents’

‘40 to Homicide via Handgun’

‘Often our emotions respond more to spectacle than to data.’

— Neil deGrasse Tyson (@neiltyson)  August 4, 2019’”

shootings 1

In addition, every 48 hours in the U.S.:

About 3,200 people will die from cancer.

40 U.S. Veterans will commit suicide.

380 people will die from drug overdoses.

5,000 abortions will be performed.

6 women die from domestic violence.

69,000 report domestic abuse or violence.  (That’s only what’s reported)

11 people will die as a result of gang violence.

9 people will die from knife wounds.

500 people will die from Alzheimer’s.

There are 483 alcohol related deaths.

57,500 people come into our country illegally and undocumented.  (And that’s only the ones we know about! The actual number coming in could be twice as many!)

And remember, these numbers happen all over again EVERY 48 hours in our country.

The fact of the matter is that bad things happen to good people all of the time.

We just have to accept that fact and realize that no matter what we do, many of these occurrences are not preventable.

We can take reasonable steps to minimize them as much as possible, but we just can’t eliminate them from occurring at all.

We can make laws banning this and banning that, but people break laws all of the time.

Killing all of those people this past weekend was already against the law, wasn’t it?

I guess, in this case, I’m going to have to agree with Mr. Tyson.

It was a sad occurrence, no doubt…, but we have equally sad, and even sadder things occurring every day, over and over again, 24/7/365, that deserve more of our attention, and our outrage, as well.

I think we should start a democrat “bucket challenge!”

You know…, similar to the ice bucket challenge that was a big thing on social media the last couple of years.

53601157.jpg

By definition, “the ice bucket challenge is an activity involving the dumping of a bucket of ice and water over a person’s head, either by another person or self-administered, to promote awareness of a certain cause or issue.”

“The challenge encourages nominated participants to be filmed having a bucket of ice water poured on their heads and then nominating others to do the same.”

“A common stipulation is that nominated participants have 24 hours to comply with the challenge or forfeit by way of a charitable financial donation.”

For all of the democrats out there who think it’s okay to belittle and demonize our police officers, our immigration officers (ICE) and our border patrol officers, I challenge you to experience “the bucket!”

ice 1

ice 9

ice 8

If you’re a democrat who has been a driving force or an accomplice in the public humiliation of many of our police officers, who may have the toughest job in the world by the way…, I challenge you to walk down a street in your community while people are allowed to dump water over your head and laugh at you.

Since these officers were “dumped on” while doing their jobs, perhaps people should be allowed to walk into your offices and douse you while you’re in there doing whatever it is you do?

That sounds fair, doesn’t it?

I mean…, expressing your first amendment rights is expressing your first amendment rights…, right?

Right!

Right off the bat, let’s challenge Mayor Bill De Blasio, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the other three members of her “squad,” presidential candidate Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, along with all of the mayors who have declared their cities to be sanctuary cities, undermining the efforts of federal ICE officers.

ice 11

ice 10

Ya…, that would be a good start…, but just a start.

Let’s spread the word and get this idea rolling!

Now those would be videos worth watching!

Is it really a “right” to have crappy health care?

I suppose technically it is.

It seems that “Medicare for all” is all the rage among democrats.

medicare 3

If you listen to the democrat presidential candidates, you would think that people without health care was a national crisis.

Have you ever seen anyone turned away from an emergency room, insurance or not?

In addition to that…, the truth is:

90% of Americans are covered by some sort of health care plan (Private plans, private plans through employers, VA, Medicare…, even Obamacare!

5% choose not to be covered by a health care plan.

That leaves only 5% that are truly without health care coverage.

Most of the democrat presidential candidates rally around the cry that, “Health care is a human right!”

The truth is the democrats are “fake news.”

medicare 7

The truth is the democrats don’t care about anyone’s rights.

The truth is the democrats really don’t care if you have health care coverage or not.

medicare 1

The truth is the democrats want government to take over the health care system because the truth is they want the government to take over everything!

So…, let’s get this straight.

In order to make sure that the 5% who don’t have coverage get coverage:

… the democrats want to destroy the current system that 90% of us are using?

…the democrats want the 2.7 million people who currently work in the insurance industry to lose their jobs?

…the democrats expect all of us, who do pay taxes, to pay considerably more taxes to fund their socialized and nationalized health care fiasco?

… the democrats are willing to turn over the administration of everyone’s health care insurance to the government, whom we all know is soooo efficient and customer oriented?

medicare 4

… the democrats are willing to turn over the administration of everyone’s health care insurance to the government, whom we all know is soooo cost effective?  We’ve all heard about the bargains the Pentagon has gotten on their $435 hammers and their $640 toilet seats!  Get ready for the $50 Q-tip!

… the democrats are willing to turn over the administration of everyone’s health care insurance to the government, whom we all know are doing such a good job in regards to immigration laws, in regards to handling the abortion issue, in regards to funding social security, in regards to homelessness, in regards to city, state and federal debt, in regards to crime and violence, in regards to illegal drugs and drug abuse.  Well…, you get the idea.

medicare 6

medicare 9

… the democrats are willing to turn over the administration of everyone’s health care insurance to the government, whom we all know will be abused and wasteful.  Can you imagine the current Medicare system abuse times ten?!

Times 20?!!

Times 30?!!!

President Trump believes, and I believe, that a more intelligent, “holistic” plan for improving the health care system would include adding a “safety net” system for the 5% without health care, laws making insurance processing easier, more transparent, and more user friendly, programs aimed at making medications more affordable, laws to address excessive medical liability awards, covering pre-existing conditions, and finding ways to make health insurance coverage more competitive…, as opposed to just lazily dumping the whole thing onto the government’s lap and living with whatever they deem is acceptable for us.

According to Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Chief Medical Correspondent for CNN, “Medicare, which has been around since 1965, is the government-run health insurance program that covers all Americans 65 and older and is funded by taxpayers. A portion taken out of our paychecks for Social Security goes toward Medicare to cover most services like hospital stays and doctors’ visits.”

What did people do prior to 1965?  The American people didn’t pay any federal income taxes prior to 1913 either.  How did we and the country survive?  Seriously…, I’m asking?

“People on Medicare can also choose to get additional coverage from Medicare-approved private insurers to cover other services such as dental, vision and prescription drugs.”

“Our health care system could best be described as a hybrid. About half the money comes from the private sector: people who have private insurance through their employers or who are self-insured. The other half is from the public sector: federal, state and local governments paying into Medicare and Medicaid.”

Most proposed “Medicare for all” plans would provide fairly comprehensive coverage, as Medicare does now, all with no copays, premiums or deductibles, they say.

Herein lies the rub.

The democrats call it “free” health care with “no copays, premiums or deductibles,” but we all know nothing is “free.”

These politicians are so generous with OUR money!

I’m sure the increase in our taxes would more than equal our copays, premiums and deductibles, as we would not only be covering our own costs, but all of those who don’t pay any taxes as well.

medicare 2

As with most other democrat schemes, it’s a good deal for those accustomed to living off of government handouts, and that’s about it.

medicare 9

Of course, the extremely wealthy and most politicians would be exempt from this system, designed for the rest of us peons, just as in the case of Obamacare.

Why are about half of the American people willing to accept a crappy health care system, while the elites just go on living their elite lifestyles?

Because about half of us are either too ignorant to know any better, gullible enough to believe the socialist fairy tales they tell us, too lazy to care either way, or we’re originally from a country where we’re used to this type of treatment, so this is totally acceptable and familiar, and we’re just happy to be here.

medicare 10

It’s difficult combating the waves of liberal misinformation when the “biased, liberal propaganda, fake news media” acts as a co-conspirator rather than a “watch dog” for the American people.

medicare 5

Remember…, stay thirsty my friends, but don’t drink the liberal Kool-Aide!

medicare 8

When will “Black” politicians stop hiding behind the color of their skin?

Over the weekend, President Trump tweeted out some criticisms of Rep. Elijah Cummings, who happens to be part African-American and a democrat from Maryland, who represents a district in Baltimore.

These tweets were a response to Cummings’ comments which were critical of the conditions at border processing centers. Cummings last week had questioned crowded border conditions and criticized the lack of basic humanitarian needs such as sanitation being met.

cummings 1

“Cummings sarcastically asked Kevin McAleenan, the acting head of Homeland Security, ‘You feel like you’re doing a great job, right?’ according to Sommer Brokaw and Allen Cone of UPI.  ‘What does that mean when a child is sitting in their own feces, can’t take a shower, come on man, what’s that about?  None of us would have our children in that position.  They are human beings.’”

cummings 3

What a pompous ass.  What a disingenuous, pompous ass.

Oh, oh…, I guess that makes me a racist…, because you can’t question the integrity of an African-American politician you know…, unless they happen to be conservative that is!

cummings 9

You say “None of us would have our children in that position.”  Have you taken a look around your district in the last twenty years Congressman Cummings?

cummings 13

Many children in your district live in conditions much worse that the conditions you dreamed up, regarding our border processing centers, Mr. Cummings.

Why haven’t these children, these U.S. citizens, which you represent in your district, gotten the same level of your concern as have these illegal immigrants halfway across the country?

‘“I want to concentrate on these children and I want to make sure that they are okay,’ he continued. ‘I said it before, and I’ll say it again. It’s not the deed that you do to a child. It’s the memory.’”

Oh…, such eloquent words, Mr. Cummings.  You’re such a gifted orator!  Which one of your staffers fed you that line of crap?

“He added that the Trump administration was responsible for separating thousands of migrant children, some as young as 2, from their parents.”

‘“It is the Trump administration’s own policies that are causing these problems,’ he said. ‘They all increased the number of people being held and unnecessarily detained … The damage the Trump administration has inflicted and is continuing to inflict will affect these children for the rest of their lives.’”

cummings 6

No, it’s not the Trump Administration’s own policies, Mr. Cummings.  The Trump Administration is just following the laws established by you and your friend in Congress, Mr. Cummings.

If you and your friends in Congress had done its job anytime over the last twenty years or so, these situations at our southern border would not even be an issue now.

‘“I’m talking about human beings,’ Cummings said. ‘I’m not talking about people that come from, as The President said, shitholes. These are human beings. Human beings just trying to live a better life.’”

Oh, so none of these people come from your district in Baltimore, Mr. Cummings?

Sorry, but it was just too hard to let that one slip by!

People in your district aren’t “human beings?”

People in your district aren’t “trying to live a better life?”

And it was Senator Bernie Sanders who described your district as being akin to a “third world country.”

According to David Montanaro of Fox News, “[President] Trump was heavily criticized over the weekend after he branded Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., a “brutal bully” for his treatment of Border Patrol officials at committee hearings — and described Cummings’ district as “far worse and more dangerous” than the southern border.’”

cummings 15

“Radio host Rush Limbaugh said, “President Trump is speaking the absolute truth about problems in the city of Baltimore under Democrat-led administrations.’”

‘“What he’s saying here is the absolute truth, but it’s not supposed to be said about any place where the Democrats are in charge,’ he said Monday on Fox & Friends.’”

‘“Cumming[s’] District is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place,’ Trump tweeted, before calling for an investigation into why Baltimore received so much federal funding.”

cummings 7

Ya…, let’s open up an investigation checking into what has happened to all of those hundreds of millions of dollars earmarked for Elijah Cummings’ district in Baltimore!

From what I’ve seen, Mr. Cummings seems to be a big fan of investigations!

“Limbaugh added, ‘It’s about time somebody pushed back against the human misery caused by Democrat leadership.’”

“Cummings, the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, responded Sunday by declaring he has ‘no doubt that Trump is racist.’”

cummings 5

Really, Mr. Cummings?

Why can you be critical of him, and that’s not racist, but as soon he’s critical of you that’s considered racist?

Just sayin’.

This seems to be a typical case of someone being able to “dish it out,” but not being able to take it himself.

Remember…, you started this Mr. Cummings.

cummings 11

“Limbaugh continued by adding, ‘The Democrats get to claim they are compassionate and that they care, but they never do anything that actually improves the quality of the lives of their constituents. Their constituents are as unhappy today as they were 50 years ago.’”

The “biased, liberal propaganda, fake news media” is of course co-conspirators in this “racist” charade which has been perpetrated on the American people.

cummings 12

Hopefully our African-American friends will increasingly wake up to this fact and run these frauds right out of town and right out of Congress!

Israel 1, “The (anti-America) Squad” 0.

Who are the religious bigots here?

Who are the racists here?

Who are the intolerant ones here?

jewish 6

It appears that three of the four “Squad” members would be the correct answer to these questions.

I have to give credit to Ayanna Pressley, the representative from Massachusetts, for breaking with her crew on this one.

jewish 4

In fact, according to Frank Miles of Fox News, “The resolution passed on a vote of 398-17.  Reps. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., were among the 16 Democrats who voted against the resolution. Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., was the only Republican to vote ‘no.’ Rep. Justin Amash, I-Mich., was one of five lawmakers who voted ‘present.’”

jewish 3

So “The Squad” consisted of 3 of the 17 who voted against the resolution, which was a vote against Israel on racially and religiously bigoted terms.

jewish 13

And those 17 were defeated 398-17!

Those 17 constitute a whopping 4% of Congress.

I would say we could consider a majority of “The Squad” to be a far, far, far left faction, and an especially racially bigoted group within the democrat party.

Yet “The Squad” appear to be the “faces” of the democrats lately, and the ones driving a radical democrat narrative.

“The House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved a bipartisan resolution Tuesday opposing an international effort to boycott Israel as Democrats try to tamp down increasingly heated political rhetoric over differences with the longtime U.S. ally.”

jewish 10

If you consider the political climate that we live in today, the fact that we can get anything done in a bipartisan fashion is extremely noteworthy, and worth highlighting.

If you are one of the few on the dissenting side of a vote like this (398-17), that is saying a lot!

That is saying that if you can’t support something like this…, you can’t or won’t support anything.

That is saying they (“The Squad” members plus 14) are so far out of the mainstream that they should be considered radical and ineffectual.

As our Jewish friends might say…, these “meshugenahs” and “schlemiels” (Crazy people and incompetent people) “hok a chainik” (talk too much, talk too much nonsense).

“Mazel tov!” (Good fortune to you!)
