All You Need to Know About Hollywood.

In 2003, pedophile and child rapist Roman Polanski not only won an academy award (which is bad enough), but he then received a standing ovation from the Hollywood crowd on top of it.

In 2012, at the Golden Globe Awards, Meryl Streep called Harvey Weinstein “God,” and everyone laughed and applauded.

Now Meryl Streep and countless others in Hollywood call Weinstein’s behavior “disgraceful.”

Apparently a lot of successful and powerful men and women in Hollywood were aware of Harvey Weinstein’s behavior for many years and said nothing, allowing the victimization to continue.

That is what is disgraceful.

“The time is always right to do what is right.” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” – Edmund Burke

Just as I expected!

I’m sure many of us are now aware of the “outrageous” amount of money spent by various department heads in the current Trump administration on private air travel. It’s crazy!  It must have been over a few hundred thousand dollars! (Which has all been paid back by the way)

But hold on. Lo and behold, this is just another case of selective outrage. Another example of the biased media deciding to do the job they should have been doing all along.  It has now been learned that just one department (The Department of the Interior) spent over $970,000 on private flights, between 2010 and 2016, under the Obama administration.  I don’t recall hearing anything about that at the time, do you?  And that’s only one department!  There are 15 major government departments.  How much would you care to bet that during the Obama administration, over $10 million taxpayer dollars were spent on private flights, without even one word being raised by our ever watchful, ever on guard, ever fair and ever balanced news media?

I bet you don’t want to bet.

Can you “entertainers” just entertain us…please?

We Americans put a high value on entertainment, as is evident by the exorbitant amounts of money we are willing to let them earn. But let’s be clear that Hollywood, other actors and comedians, the NFL players, the NBA players, and all the other ”players” are just that, “entertainers,” and we’re not really asking a lot.

An Organ Grinder’s trained monkey is an entertainer.

Do you know what the Organ Grinder does when the monkey starts throwing his poo at the customers?

When the entertainer becomes just another source of frustration and volatility, we are going to look elsewhere for our entertainment. That’s when they cease being “entertainers” and they have to go out and get a real job.  Does anybody remember Kathy Griffin?

If you want to start throwing poo you’re going to lose. There are a lot more of us than there are of you.

My First Predictions!

If Hillary Clinton doesn’t at least attempt to run for president again, I will eat this computer that I am working at! I know it’s hard to believe, but she is all-consumed by the idea, besides the fact that she feels her place in history is preordained and owed to her. Also, don’t ever put anything past the Clinton mafia!

Whether Hillary ends up running or not, the election of 2020 will end up being the most divisive and brutal election in U.S. history, period. Many liberals took the 2016 election for granted and sat on their hands.  Not in 2020!  All, and I mean ALL of the stops will be pulled out by the biased media, Hollywood, and the liberal/democrat political machine in general.  All of the liberals, either guilty or frustrated by the events surrounding the 2016 election, will be out and in our faces in full force and losing their minds.  It is going to get UGLY, and in the end, half of our country is going to be VERY unhappy, to put it mildly.  This election will change our country in a significant way.

An open letter to President Trump:

Dear Mr. President,

Please consider not cutting any funds from the Job Corps program. In fact, please consider expanding the program.

Being a teacher with Job Corps, this would seem self-serving, but my request is anything but.

At any given time, Job Corps centers across the country are assisting over 20,000 disadvantaged and disconnected young men and women get their lives on a positive track. They are learning a trade, getting their high school diplomas, and becoming confident and proud of themselves.  They leave here with good jobs and as productive and responsible members of our society.  They are also positive examples of “what can be” in their neighborhoods back home.

I see the transformation in these young people every day, and it is amazing.

I can’t think of a much better way to invest the taxpayer’s money, can you? Please let your congressperson and senators know that we all support Job Corps’ mission.

Thank you.

At least 59 killed and over 500 injured. This could be a headline describing 2-3 weeks in Chicago.

At least 59 killed and over 500 injured. This could be a headline describing 2-3 weeks in Chicago.

We don’t see anything really being done about this though, nor do we see around the clock coverage about this situation either, do we? Chicago is too worried about being a “sanctuary city.”  A sanctuary to whom?  Who would choose to take sanctuary in a war zone?

So, the people of Chicago are left to suffer and be victimized, while politicians argue about passing some new law that will be as ineffective as the rest of them. Isn’t murder already against the law?  Isn’t shooting someone already against the law?

It’s not the laws that solve anything, it’s the level of the enforcement of those laws, the level of the prosecution of those laws, sentences that keep the people that break these laws out of circulation, and effective support programs that can make a difference.

Talk is cheap, and so is misguided and misrepresented outrage.

NRA opposition hits the jackpot with Vegas massacre.

Those who oppose The National Rifle Association (NRA) can now feel free to put their “bashing shoes” on. Politicians and anyone with access to a microphone or social media, that are against the 2nd amendment will be blabbing and typing with due diligence.  Addressing this issue, however, it is already illegal for people to possess automatic weapons in this country.  And I think we can all agree that is a good thing.  There is no reason for anyone to possess a “machine gun.”  But apparently, people can buy conversion kits that get around how the law technically defines an automatic weapon.  It’s hard to imagine that is possible, but I wouldn’t put anything past a law that is crafted by our inept and beholden Congress.  That law needs to be updated and corrected now, and the NRA needs to support our rights under the 2nd amendment without being unreasonable or irresponsible.

When did being mean and obnoxious become the new “funny?”

When did being mean and obnoxious become the new “funny?”

It has gotten really hard to watch SNL and most nightly variety shows. Their liberal bias is just so obvious and intense. They are not even pretending to not be biased anymore.

It usually doesn’t take more than a few words for the name “Donald Trump” to be taken in vain. Then it’s like, “Well here we go again.” This shtick It is really getting old and tired fast.

When “jokes” escalate to the level of a personal vendetta, they lose the potential of being funny too most fair minded people. In some cases it is just one mean spirited attack after another.  It really does become unwatchable, unless you are mean spirited yourself and/or have an unnatural level of disdain for our current President.

The time has come for these apparent “comedians” to attempt to get back to being funny, get off their biased political soapboxes, and at least pretend to have the smallest bit of respect for our current President.

America: The gift that keeps giving!

First of all, let’s get this straight; our government gives away OUR money, not theirs. Now that we’ve got that straight, let’s proceed.

Our country is over $20 trillion in debt, yet we annually:

Give away over $32 billion in direct foreign aid through our government.

Spend over $150 billion on our military bases located overseas through our government. This money helps support the economies of these other countries.

Privately give over $390 billion to charities with international causes.

That’s a grand total of over $570 billion given to foreign causes (not even counting money we donate to churches that are then allocated to foreign causes and missions)!  That’s approximately $1,700 from every man, woman and child in the United States.

No other country is even close to that amount. No other country is even remotely close.  In fact, if you added up ALL of the other countries, their sum total would still only be a fraction of what Americans give away on a yearly basis.

My point being, with all of the debt we have on federal, state and local levels, and all of the issues we have that require even more spending at the federal, state and local levels, shouldn’t we be putting America first at least a little more often?
