The 2018 mid-term elections will be a replay of the 2016 Presidential election. Yes folks, you heard it here FIRST!

We still have about eight months to go, and a lot can happen between now and then, but I’m expecting the night of November 6, 2018 will look a lot like the night of November 8, 2016.

The big “blue wave” is going to end up being the big “blue farce.”

Liberal talk show hosts, liberal pundits, and the biased mainstream media, will all be left dumbfounded, scratching their heads, looking for answers, and yes, maybe even crying, as it becomes apparent that the Republicans will retain control of the House of Representatives and the Senate!

The Republicans may even pick-up enough seats in the Senate to gain the coveted 60, filibuster-proof, threshold.  It will be close.

Thirty-four senators are up for re-election in 2018; 24 Democrats, 2 Independents who caucus with Democrats (Don’t they always? Who are they trying to kid with this “independent” stuff anyways?), and 8 Republicans.

Only about a dozen of these races are expected to actually be competitive.

All 435 congressional seats in the House of Representatives are up for re-election. Currently the Republicans control The House 238-193, and they have held a majority since January 2011.

The biased mainstream political “experts” are currently citing their perceived weakness of President Trump in approval polls as a driving factor for potential Democrat gains.

We all know about their polling and how it reflects reality, don’t we?  It doesn’t.

The story of the two wolves.

One night, a Cherokee grandfather was teaching his grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside of us all,” he said to the boy.

“It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.”

“One is evil. He is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.”

The old man then continued, “The other is good. He is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside of me, inside of you, and inside every other person too.”

The grandson thought about what he had said for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”

The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

“Mueller’s investigation will be remembered as the most illegitimate and wasteful witch hunt in the history of our country.” – Mr. Erickson

First, Robert Mueller was appointed as Special Counsel based on the false narrative created by the bogus Hillary Clinton and DNC generated dossier.  Now that we know the dossier is phony, shouldn’t they back off of this ill-conceived investigation?

Second, Robert Mueller was the Director of the FBI, under Barack Obama, until 2013.  Knowing what we know now about the biased and political culture that exists at the FBI, based on texts and emails discovered since his appointment, shouldn’t he be removed from his position or the investigation terminated altogether?

It seems that President Trump, the Republicans, and more so Attorney General Jeff Sessions, are hesitant to call for and appoint their own special counsel to look into former President Obama, his administration, the FBI (all for FISA Court abuses, spying on opposing political candidates, and tampering with legal processes for political gain), Hillary Clinton and her Clinton Foundation (for obstructing justice, soliciting and accepting contributions, foreign and domestic, for political considerations), as well as the Democrat National Committee. (When the FBI subpoenaed the DNC to allow them to analyze their server, the DNC denied their request, and the FBI just backed off. That’s funny isn’t it? Isn’t ignoring a subpoena a criminal offense? We have now come to learn that these laws only apply to conservatives and “We the People,” not “swamp” dwellers.)

I’m not sure if the President, the Republicans, and the Attorney General feel it would be a bad precedent to set, for the winning campaign to go after the losing campaign and/or the prior administration, but in this case, I feel they should get over that feeling and at least expose “the swamp” for what it is.  One good special counsel deserves another!

The Democrats won’t be taking off their gloves anytime soon. It’s time the Republicans put their gloves on and get in the fight.

The biased mainstream media and most politicians have obviously not read President Trump’s book, “The Art of the Deal.” They should.

All of our existing trade agreements and tariff policies are also proof of that. It’s pretty hard to be successful at poker when you show your cards every hand.

It’s also hard to negotiate any type of deal when you have a bunch of idiots looking over your shoulder and trying to trip you up at every turn.

The biased mainstream media should try just reporting the news rather than giving their “expert,” yet totally inexperienced, opinion on these matters.

When I hear some of these politicians and their comments, and the biased lamestream media and their comments, I just have to shake my head and laugh, because I can see that President Trump is strategically 3 or 4 moves ahead of everyone else.

All of these “know it alls” should just let President Trump do his job. He was elected because he wasn’t your average “talk a lot and do nothing” politician. He was elected to get our country back on a successful track. He was elected to show all of these other foreign countries that we really aren’t a bunch of stupid patsies to be taken advantage of.

The truth of the matter is that The United States holds all of the winning cards. All we have to do is play them.

Just watch the good deal that we’ll end up getting on NAFTA.

And as far as the 25 percent tariff on steel imports and a 10 percent tariff on aluminum imports, if this is what’s necessary to insure healthy steel and aluminum producing companies in our country, then so be it. This benefits blue collar steel and aluminum workers, and more importantly, it addresses a matter of national security, which no one seems to be considering.

If the United States were to get into a significant conflict, we would need to be able to produce significant quantities of steel and aluminum for the production of defense related weapons, equipment and supplies, without being dependent on other countries for our steel and aluminum.

Our “friends” in Europe have been taking advantage of “sweetheart” deals from The United States ever since World War II. I think it is way past time that they put their “big boy pants” on and stand on their own two feet, and deal with us on a level playing field.

We are 20 Trillion dollars in debt my friends. We cannot afford to throw money around that we no longer have.

It’s a new day biased lamestream media!

Let’s take a trip down memory lane, back to 2015, 2014, 2013, and before that. Back to the days when Conservatives were afraid to do or say much of anything for fear of being vilified by the mainstream media.

Liberal politicians, of course, were immune from that fear, thanks to their friends that dominated the biased mainstream media. In these cases, the media has become good at looking the other way, downplaying a story, or just ignoring it altogether.

Everything a politician wished to communicate was held hostage by the mainstream media. It was edited and released out for consumption to “We the People” at their discretion and leisure.

Well ladies and gentlemen, THOSE DAYS ARE DONE!

Donald Trump proved that you can take on the biased mainstream media and win!

During the election, President Trump took advantage of the coverage he was given by the media as they compromised their messaging for ratings, magazine, and newspaper sales. After all, he wasn’t going to win anyway, so why not make some money off of his flunky supporters?

Then the unthinkable happened…, Donald Trump won and he was elected President!

This caused the biased mainstream media to lose their minds and go into full attack mode. If there was any doubt about bias in the media before, that doubt was now erased.  Now, the biased mainstream media, in many cases, does not even bother to try and hide or disguise their bias.

After the election, the President has been able to side step the biased mainstream media with his use of Twitter and Facebook. The President has managed to move from counter-punching to taking the fight to the biased media, and actually putting them on the defensive!  It’s a beautiful day.

“We the People” will never be at the mercy of the biased mainstream media again!

That ship has sailed!

The emperor has no clothes!

The biased media has been fully exposed for who and what they are, and there is no going back for them now. “We the People” are fully engaged now, and that’s not going to change.

“Oh Magoo, you’ve done it again!” Well, actually you haven’t.

We’ve had “Crooked Hillary,” “Little Marco,” “Lyin’ Ted,” “Pocahontas,” and now “Mr. Magoo!”

That is too funny!

President Trump recently referred to Attorney General Jeff Sessions as “Mr. Magoo.” I’m guessing that’s because he can’t seem to recognize something that should be investigated, even when it’s right in front of his face!

I’m sure quite a few youngsters have been googling “Mr. Magoo” in order to understand the reference.

President Trump has been blasting Attorney General Sessions recently for relying on someone (Michael E. Horowitz) who was an “Obama guy” to investigate allegations of the government’s FISA surveillance abuses, among other things. Mr. Horowitz is looking into so many different Clinton and Obama scandals it getting hard to keep track of them all!

“Why is A.G. Jeff Sessions asking the Inspector General to investigate potentially massive FISA abuse. Will take forever, has no prosecutorial power and already late with reports on Comey etc. Isn’t the I.G. an Obama guy? Why not use Justice Department lawyers? DISGRACEFUL!” President Trump tweeted.

It is disgraceful.  C’mon Magoo…, I mean Mr. Sessions, don’t be afraid to do your job!

If President Trump deserved to be investigated by a special counsel, Hillary Clinton, The Clinton Foundation, The DNC, Barack Obama, the Obama era FBI, and the Obama era Department of Justice damn sure do too!

President Trump’s Approval Rating Soars Past Obama’s at This Point in their Presidencies, according to a recent Rasmussen Poll, but the biased mainstream media chooses to ignore it.

President Donald Trump’s approval rating is now higher than former President Barack Obama’s at this point in his presidency, according to the results of a daily poll released Tuesday (02/27/2018).

As of Tuesday, 50 percent of likely voters in the United States approved of President Trump’s job performance, according to the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll. On this date during year two of Obama’s first term, only 43 percent of likely voters approved of how the president was performing, the same poll found.

Polls conducted by CNN, of course, show President Trump with lower approval ratings, and this is what they choose to report, but we all know how reliable CNN’s polls are. “Trump has no path to victory,” was what they declared, based on their polls, during the 2016 presidential election.

Across numerous polls, President Trump has performed better in recent weeks. President Trump tweeted this news, adding, “Other Trump polls are way up also. So why does the media refuse to report this?  Oh well, someday!”

I guess it’s hard for me to share The President’s optimism. Somehow I don’t think someday will ever come.

How “We the People” can bypass the partisan and “do nothing” Congress, and do what’s best for America.

Congresspeople in The House of Representatives are up for re-election every two years.  This is a good thing in a way, but also a bad thing in a way.  It’s good that they are being held accountable for their action over a short time frame, but it is also bad, because they are afraid to deal with long term issues that might cost them getting re-elected.  It is for this reason that I believe “We the People” need to take some of these long term issues into our own hands for the good of the country.  So, how to we do that?  Well, the authors of our Constitution had the foresight to build an option in that would allow us to do just that.

From the Constitution of the United States of America:

Article V

“The Congress, whenever two thirds of both houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other mode of ratification may be proposed by the Congress; provided that no amendment which may be made prior to the year one thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any manner affect the first and fourth clauses in the ninth section of the first article; and that no state, without its consent, shall be deprived of its equal suffrage in the Senate.”

Ok, so what does this mean? It means that along with the Congressional method of amending the Constitution, the states can bypass Congress and amend the Constitution without them.  The states can call a convention to propose amendments to the United States Constitution, also called an Article V Convention, or an Amendments Convention, called for by two-thirds of the state legislatures (which would currently be 34 states), is one of two processes authorized by Article Five of the United States Constitution whereby the Constitution, the nation’s frame of government, may be altered.

To become part of the Constitution, an amendment must be ratified by either the legislatures of three-fourths (presently 38) of the states or State ratifying conventions in three-fourths of the states.

Thirty-three amendments to the United States Constitution have been approved by Congress and sent to the states for ratification. Twenty-seven of these amendments have been ratified and are now part of the Constitution.

As of 2018, the convention process has never been used for proposing constitutional amendments.

Since there are currently 34 “red states,” it would seem that the calling of a constitutional convention could really happen.

The challenge would be to get the 38 states needed to actually change the constitution. Four additional “purple” or “blue” states would have to “sign on” to whatever amendments to the Constitution the convention of states arrived at.

There have been calls for an “Article V Convention” to deal with the issues that Congress seems to be afraid to address. Some of these issues are:

A balanced budget amendment

Limiting the powers of the Federal Government

Term limits for members of Congress

Social Security and Medicaid

And more recently, immigration and school safety

Keep in mind that the states do not have to ratify the amendment all at once, or in a rush. The 27th amendment, which prevents members of Congress from raising their salaries, was proposed in 1789; it did not get its 38th ratification until 1992! Unless the proposers put a time limit on their amendment’s ratification, as has been the case for most 20th-century amendments, it can sit around accumulating ratifications in perpetuity. As the founders intended, the federal government should have no way to block the process.

And then there is the “nuclear” option. Once a constitutional convention was convened, theoretically, delegates could simply declare a new, lower threshold for ratification.  “The sovereign people have the right to alter or abolish their form of government and change it to whatever they want,” says Larry Greenley of the John Birch Society. “This is a convention that creates constitutions. It’s a level above state legislatures, and can’t be limited. We really believe that any Article V convention would have the ability to change the ratification process.”

When our country was founded, it was intended that the states would control most of the power, with the federal government being pretty limited. Over the years the power has swung to the federal government and away from the states.  Perhaps it is time for the states to re-establish some of their rightful power.

I’m sure the federal government (“the swamp”) will challenge the states’ rights to do anything every step of the way, but hopefully this won’t deter the states. We need someone, or some group, to take the lead on this for the long haul.

This may be the only way to deal with the tough issues and save America from its own irresponsible federal government.

Our “swamp speak” word of the day is “demagogue,” and…

When listening to certain politicians, reporters, talking heads, or pundits (there’s another one, see below), we pretty regularly hear the word “demagogue,” “demagogued,” or “demagoging.”  The “ue” on the end is silent.

A “demagogue” is “someone who seeks support by appealing to popular desires and prejudices rather than by using a rational argument in their “rhetoric” (there’s another one).”

In other words, someone “demagoging” an issue is not being genuine with their argument. They are politicizing it, “spinning” it (there’s another one), and being less than completely honest.

“Demagogues” exploit prejudice and ignorance among people that are not really paying attention and those who are not particularly intelligent on a specific issue, or in general.

A “pundit” is a supposed “expert” in a particular subject or field who is frequently called on to share their opinions with the public.

“Rhetoric” is language designed to have a persuasive or impressive effect on its audience, but often regarded as lacking in sincerity or meaningful content.

“Spinning” is an attempt at giving a particular interpretation, especially a favorable one, on a speech, a political result, or a situation.

If you can think of more words that might be considered “swamp speak,” please give me some feedback and we’ll take a look at it!
